PET fabrics of various luster, fiber thickness(denier), and weaving structure were dyed at the same conditions and determined their grey scale by using naked eyes, computer color matching (CCM) system, and real industry color (RIC) device to evaluate the effectiveness of RIC device developed in this study. As for the luster of fabrics, bright PET showed more differences when compared with semi-dull and full-dull. PET in both naked eyes and RIC device since the RIC device provide the real image of fabrics to observers. As for the fiber thickness, the results of naked eyes and RIC device were very similar while the result of CCM showed lower color grade. Finally, as for the weaving structures of PET fabrics, all the test results by naked eyes, CCM, and RIC device showed almost same grey scales. In these regards, the RIC device developed in this study was comparable to naked eyes by providing the real image of fabrics, however it was difficult to compare the very bright colors such as yellow and fiber thickness(denier) and weaving structure of fabrics.
The investigate of preschool children at 7-year-old at three kindergartens in Iksan was done by the naked visual acuity, the refractive state and cover-uncover test. Total 246 eyes were examined by the objective and subjective methods. The results were as follows: 1. Among the 246 eyes, the naked visual acuity of below the average 0.7 was 64 eyes(26%). 2. As to the distribution of refractive errors, myopic eyes and hyperopic eyes were 26.55% and 26.55%, respectively. 3. As to the type of astigmatisms, with the rule was 85.8%, against the rule was 8.9% and oblique was 5.3%. 4. The percentage of preschool children who had been tested was 13.8%. 5. In test none of children were the phoria.
In testing the moving balance of a rotor instead of strobotron system here to for in use, making the pick up touch the rotor without putting the subject on the testing table, we can observe both the corrected original point and its unbalance point which appeared on the Braun tube screen with naked eyes. Then we can do our correcting job with rapidity.

High level quality control is required for mobile TFT-LCD modules which are frequently used for fine observation. However, quantitative quality control is difficult. Defect inspection using naked eyes makes irregular inspection results. This paper developed desk type defect inspection equipment for mobile TFT-LCD modules using the same inspection criterion with that of naked eyes. From experiments using this equipments, possibilities of standardization in defect inspection equipment for mobile TFT-LCD modules are presented.
Anchor bolt in baseplate fastenings on the slab track is an important component to conform placing and safety of fastenings. Due to the way of load transmission control of fastenings, sometimes anchor bolt has to be applied lateral load. So we have to take care for it when we design. Especially, in the case of anchor bolt which is applied loads repeatedly, we have to consider fatigue failure. If parts of machine are damaged in static loads, stress will exceed the yield strength. So parts could be transformed largely. Therefore because they are visible to the naked eyes, we can replace parts before failure. However, because fatigue failure that are invisible to the naked eyes happen unexpectedly, it's very dangerous. To make a reasonable design of anchor bolts, we will analyze them by changing diameters of anchor bolt, quality of insert, initial gap between anchor bolt and insert, the presence of insert, etc. which affect the stresses of anchor bolts. We can get the maximum and minimum amplitude of stress through the modified Goodman diagram or Smith diagram which represents limit of all strengths and stress components to the average stress. We also tried to show the way of examining the expected th life of anchor bolt briefly through considering above.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the classifying ability of the igneous rocks with the naked eye for 36 preservice science teachers. For this, we selected six specimens of igneous rocks that consisted of rhyolite, andesite, basalt, granite, diorite, and gabbro, and performed the questionnaire with them. Preservice science teachers needed the average of 3 tools to classify the rocks. Most of the selected tools were loupe, streak plate, hammer and Mohs’ hardness scale. Many preservice science teachers selected basalt and granite samples to classify igneous rocks among 6 kinds of the rocks which were exhibited. However, the results of the identification with the naked eye showed that the right answer rate was significantly different based on what rock sample had been selected. Nobody gave the right answer among 10 students who chose the rhyolite sample, but all of 36 students who picked the basalt sample answered correctly. And $62\%$ of 8 students who chose the andesite sample, 62% of 32 student choosing granite, $7\%$ of 13 students choosing diorite and $44\%$ of 9 students choosing gabbro were correctly answered. In identifying igneous rock samples with the naked eye, most subjects relied on vesicular texture to basalt, and they used textural, color and empirical characters to granite. But, some felt more or less difficulty to distinguish between intermediate and light colors and to recognize porphyry.
Objectives : This study is to propose discriminative keys with stereoscope for minute seed herbs easily mixed up, but hard to discriminate by naked eyes: Alli Tuberosi Semen(ATS)✳Alli Fistulosi Semen(AFS), Malvae Semen(MS)✳ Abutili Semen(AS), Plantaginis Semen(PS)✳Schizonepetae Semen(SS).Objectives : We reviewed the description of original plants and medicinal herbs from literature. The specimen of original plant were collected, determinated and compared to samples in the market. Primary classification was performed with naked eyes. and we found out other discrimination keys for non-distinctive herbs with stereoscope. Discrimination keys were set as the morphological criteria of authentic herbs, percentage of adulteration, and standards for discriminating genuine herbs from adulteration. Results : 1) ATS is bigger, has reticulate pattern on protuberant side and unique garlic chives taste. AFS which is usually mixed up, is smaller, has 1~2 ridges and unique welsh onion taste. 2) MS is smaller, has no villus, but its length of bumps are similar. AS easily mixed up, is bigger and has white villus. Its upper side bump is longer and more sharp. 3) PS has dent at middle of the back side. It becomes very sticky when it is put or boiled in water. SS which can be mixed up has no dent and low viscosity compared to PS.Conclusions : With this result, we propose discriminative keys which can identify the original plants and processed herbal state of six herbs. Because minute medicinal herbs are hardly distinguishable by sensory test, It is essential to differentiate by using stereoscope.
The purpose of the present study was to set up basic information of size and status of ovaries by using ultrasonography to retrieve in vivo matured oocytes with ovum pick- up method. Ovaries were collected from the abattoir in Jeju in May and June which is breeding season. When the size of ovaries on ultrasonography was compared with real size measured by caliper, no significant difference was shown (p<0.05). The number of preovulatory follicles (>21mm) was investigated with ultrasonography and naked eyes. Ultrasonography group had 0.83 preovulatory follicles per ovary and naked-eye group had 0.75 preovulatory follicle per ovary and their average size was 2.86 cm and 2.34 cm, respectively. The average number of follicle was 4.25 with ultrasonography and 4.38 with naked eyes. There was no significant difference considering the size of follicle and number of follicle between ultrasonography and actual size except for the size of preovulatory follicle, suggesting that information of ultrasonography is able to use for OPU or other reproductive technology of mare.

Objectives This study was performed to evaluate the clinical effect of acupuncture on children's myopia. Methods Among the outpatients with myopia who visited to Department of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, National Medical Center from June 2000 to May 2001, we selected 50 cases that did not involve ,any other pathological condition of eyes and patient age was below 17, whose eyes including with glasses or naked examined by monoocular and biocular visual acuity test per each visit and followed up for 6 weeks. Results We investigated 29 female and 21 male patients. The most distribution of age was 12.26. First mean biocular visual acutity was $0.2{\pm}0.074$. Last mean biocular visual acuity after 6 weeks was $0.8{\pm}0.046(p<0.001). Improved cases on biocular test were 38 cases($76.00\%$). Conclusions These results suggest that the acupuncture therapy is effective treatment modality on children's myopia.
This study focused on the change of skin temperature by the emissivity and emission power of far-infrared for conformant far infrared effect to naked eyes. The study method is to manufacture the bra pad by each concentration on far-infrared materials of illite powder $(K,H_3O)AI_2(Si,Al)_4O_{10}(H_2O,OH)_2)$, liquid alumina ($Al_2O_3$), the extracted liquid from 29 kind of medical plants, then, measured change of skin temperature. Result are as follows. Far-infrared were emitted each $90.2\%,\;90.1\%,\;89.7\%$ from the illite powder, liquid alumina, extracted liquid from medical plants. When the testee weared the bra pad, the temperature of coated bra pad was $0.5^{\circ}C$ higher than the non finished bra pad. Washing fastness on far-infrared finishing was better dope addition method than coating method.
