The low frequency noise in Silicon Nanowire Field Effect Transistors is analyzed by characterizing the gate electrode dependence on various geometrical parameters. It shows that gate electrodes have a strong impact in the flicker noise of Silicon Nanowire Field effect transistors. Optimization of gate electrode was done by comparing different performance metrics such a DIBL, SS, $I_{on}/I_{off}$ and fringing capacitance using TCAD simulations. Molybdenum based gate electrode showed significant improvement in terms of high drive current, Low DIBL and high $I_{on}/I_{off}$. The noise power sepctral density is reduced by characterizing the device at higher frequencies. Silicon Nanowire with Si3N4 spacer decreases the drain current spectral density which interms reduces the fringing fields there by decreasing the flicker noise.

High crystalline nonpolar a-plane (11-20) nitride light emitting diodes (LEDs) have been fabricated on r-plane (1-102) sapphire substrates by metalorganic chemical-vapor deposition (MOCVD). The multi-quantum wells (MQWs) active region is consists of 4 periods the nonpolar a-plane InGaN/GaN(a-InGaN/GaN) on a high quality a-plane GaN (a-GaN) template grown by using the multibuffer layer technique. The full widths at half maximum (FWHMs) of x-ray rocking curve (XRC) obtained from phiscan of the specimen that was grown up to nonpolar a-plane GaN LED layers with double crystal x-ray diffraction. The FWHM values were decreased down to 477 arc sec for $0^{\circ}$ and 505 arc sec for $-90^{\circ}$, respectively. After fabricating a conventional lateral LED chip which size was $300{\times}600{\mu}m^2$, we measured the optical output power by on-wafer measurements. N-electrode was made with Cr/Au contact, and ITO on p-GaN was formed with Ohmic contact using Ni/Au followed by inductively coupled plasma etching for mesa isolation. The optical output power of 1.08 mW was obtained at drive current of 20 mA with the peak emission wavelength of 502 nm.
The variations of molar conductivity of various surfactants such as sodium caprylate, sodium laurate, sodium palmitate, sodium stearate, sodium oleate, sodium dodecyl sulphate, and lithium dodecyl sulphate with concentrations of the surfactants for each of the solutions consisting of mixtures of varying concentrations of N-methyl acetamide in water at constant temperature of $30{\pm}0.2^{\circ}C$ were studied. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) for each surfactant is measured. It is found that the CMC values in mixtures of N-methyl acetamide and water solutions of various surfactants are lower than the CMC values in water, and the driving force for micelle formation correlates with solvophobicity. The surfactant-solvent interactions that drive amphiphilic self-organization in N-methyl acetamide in water are discussed. Thermodynamic parameters were evaluated for micellar system to explain the results.
The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics between athletes and non-athletes with eating disorders (ED)/disordered eating(DE) and to investigate predictors for ED/DE. 376 female collegiate athletes and 567 college women participated in the study. After using subject selection criteria to detect ED/DE, 243 athletes were considered as either ED (n=22) or DE (n=221). In the non-athletes group, 37 cases of ED and 242 cases of DE were detected. Along with the EDEQ and EDI-2, participants completed a demographic questionnaire, SATAQ, and RSES. The results indicated that the mean seperation between the two groups with ED existed in seven variables including BMI perceived, BMI ideal, EDEQ mean, eating scale, weight scale, perfectionism, and self-esteem. In addition, the means of six variables including BMI perceived, BMI ideal, perfectionism, SATAQ score, awareness, and self-esteem were significantly different between the two groups with DE. Significant predictors for ED/DE were drive for thinness and self-esteem in the non athletes while drive for thinness, body dissatisfaction, self-esteem, internalization, and perfectionism were the predictors in the athletes within the ED/DE group. The results suggest that drive for thinness and self-esteem were the essential predictors for ED/DE in the two groups. in the athletes with ED/DE, the predictors were more complicated than those in the non-athletes with ED/DE.
Silicon nitride ($Si_3N_4$) ceramics have been considered for various components of nuclear power plants such as the mechanical seal of a reactor coolant pump (RCP), the guide roller for a control rod drive mechanism (CRDM), and a seal support, etc. Corrosion behavior of $Si_3N_4$ ceramics in a high-temperature and high-pressure water must be elucidated before they can be considered as components for nuclear power plants. In this study, the corrosion behaviors of $Si_3N_4$ ceramics containing MgO and $Al_2O_3$ as sintering aids were investigated at a hydrothermal condition ($300^{\circ}C$, 9.0 MPa) in pure water and 35 ppm LiOH solution. The corrosion reactions were controlled by a diffusion of the reactive species and/or products through the corroded layer. The grain-boundary phase was preferentially corroded in pure water whereas the $Si_3N_4$ grain seemed to be corroded at a similar rate to the grain-boundary phase in LiOH solution. Flexural strengths of the $Si_3N_4$ ceramics were significantly degraded due to the corrosion reaction. Results of this study imply that a variation of the sintering aids and/or a control (e.g., crystallization) of the grain-boundary phase are necessary to increase the corrosion resistance of $Si_3N_4$ ceramics in a high-temperature water.
The purpose of the study is to give basic data for the improvement of the skill and to show an exemplary position for squash club members or trainers thru a comparative analysis on the kinematics and kinetics variables on the forehand drive motion in playing squash. The objects of the research are divided into two sections, skilled group(n=8) and unskilled group(n=8). The skilled group is composed of professional players currently working and unskilled group is career of six month, both of lives in B city. In this research, to gather the data 3D motion analysis and test result analysis using force platform was used. The variables are duration, position, segment velocity, segment acceleration and etc. in using force platform. The results are as follows: 1. The duration per phase of the skilled is 0.18sec P1(DS) while that of unskilled is 0.32sec. in P2(FT), the duration of the skilled is 0.29sec, that of unskilled is 0.34sec. Average of the duration of the skilled is 0.48sec, while the unskilled, 0.66sec. 2. Regarding positional movements per event, the unskilled has a relatively higher position in center of gravity, shoulder joint, elbow joint compared with that of the skilled. Generally speaking, positions of the unskilled is higher than the skilled. 3. In segment velocity per event, R-shank, R-upper arm, R-forearm and racket. The skilled is faster than the unskilled. we found a big dig difference in shank. 4. In acceleration per event, there was a big difference in upper-arm and fore-arm of the impact. 5. The skilled group on the force platform shows relatively stable and regular changes while the unskilled shows unstable from the touch down to initial 20% the force value of central support period after the impact moment decreases rapidly and the center of gravity is not moved well. 6. The maximum force value of the skilled is 1019.7N. it is found 19.86% of the total duration. That of the unskilled is 639.2N, it is found 20.67% of total duration.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to compare with the effects of driving simulator and Dynavision training after stroke through the test of cognitive ability and driving performance. Methods : Twenty-one stroke patients were randomly classified to the driving simulator training group (N=11) and Dynavision training group (N=10), and were carried out respectively training for 15 times. The driving performances was measured by the driving simulator test, and cognitive-perceptive abilities was measured by the DriveABLE Cognitive Assessment Tool, Trail Making Test-A, Trail Making Test-B and Mini Mental State Examination-K. Results : The driving simulator training group showed significant changes in all cognitive tests and most of driving performances. The Dynavision training group also showed significant changes in all cognitive tests except for Trail Making Test-A and some driving performances. The significant differences on both groups were found regarding the estimated degree of results on the on-road evaluation, the number of off road accidents and collisions. In addition, the causal influence of the two training methods on these variables was analyzed to be more than 20%. Conclusion : The driving simulator and Dynavision training were found to be effective intervention in the driving rehabilitation after stroke. In particular, it was confirmed that the driving simulator is an effective training to improve overall driving ability of stroke patients. In addition, the difference in training effect between the two training methods was found to be more than 20%.

In this paper, the impact of segregation layer density ($N_{DSL}$) and length ($L_{DSL}$) on scalability and analog/RF performance of dopant-segregated Schottky barrier (DSSB) SOI MOSFET has been investigated in sub-30 nm regime. It has been found that, although by increasing the $N_{DSL}$ the increased off-state leakage, short-channel effects and the parasitic capacitances limits the scalability, the reduced Schottky barrier width at source-to-channel interface improves the analog/RF figures of merit of this device. Moreover, although by reducing the $L_{DSL}$ the increased voltage drop across the underlap length reduces the drive current, the increased effective channel length improves the scalability of this device. Further, the gain-bandwidth product in a common-source amplifier based on optimized DSSB SOI MOSFET has improved by ~40% over an amplifier based on raised source/drain ultrathin-body SOI MOSFET. Thus, optimizing $N_{DSL}$ and $L_{DSL}$ of DSSB SOI MOSFET makes it a suitable candidate for future nanoscale analog/RF circuits.
The purpose of this research is to find individual user's preference for cloud storage service such as Daum Cloud, Naver N-Drive, GoogleDrive, Dropbox, SkyDrive and iCloud. Through literature reviewed and pilot tests, 6 attributes of cloud storage service (storage capacity, perceived cost, collaboration, accessibility, social influence and perceived security) were selected and all 6 attributes had significant effects on the preference of cloud storage service by conjoint analysis. The results shows that the user's willingness to pay is estimated 10,553 won for the free storage, 4,646 won for the function for mobile accessibility, and 2,443 won for more reliable cloud computing service provider. This study has significance to apply conjoint analysis with economic, technological, and environmental factors to cloud storage service (SaaS) and shed light on policy promotion of next generation of cloud computing ecosystem by user perception with willingness to pay on the storage service.
