Aspergillus의 UvsC group에 속한 돌연변이원 감수성 변이주 musN이 uvsC 돌연변이주와 다른 성질 (Different properties of mutagen sensitive musN mutant, a member of the UvsC group, from uvsC mutant strains in Aspergillus)

  • 돌연변이원 감수성 hyper-rec type musN 돌연변이주를 recombination 과 mutation에 관여하는 유전자들이 포함된 UvsC group에 포함시켰다. 하지만, rec- 및 UV에 의한 돌연변이가 일어나지 않는 uvsC 돌연변이주와는 달리 musN은 매우 다른 성질을 나타냈다. musN은 uvsC와는 달리 mutator가 아니었다. 또한, UV 조사에 따른 selenate resistant mutation도 야생주와 비슷한 수준으로 유발되었다. 분열하는 musN 세포에서의 UV 감수성 또한 uvsC와는 달리 정상이었다. 이같은 결과는 UcsC group이 branched pathways를 갖고 있음을 나타낸다.

Molecular Characterization of Nippostrongylus brasiliensis (Nematoda: Heligmosomatidae) from Mus musculus in India

  • Mus musculus (Rodentia: Muridae) has generally been infected with a rodent hookworm Nippostrongylus brasiliensis. In this report, we present morphological and molecular identification of N. brasiliensis by light and scanning electron microscopy and PCR amplification of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (cox1) gene and the protein sequences encoded by cox1 gene, respectively. Despite the use of N. brasiliensis in many biochemistry studies from India, their taxonomic identification was not fully understood, especially at the species level, and no molecular data is available in GenBank from India. Sequence analysis of cox1 gene in this study revealed that the present specimen showed close identity with the same species available in GenBank, confirming that the species is N. brasiliensis. This study represents the first record of molecular identification of N. brasiliensis from India and the protein structure to better understand the comparative phylogenetic characteristics.

MobPrice: Dynamic Data Pricing for Mobile Communication

  • In mobile communication, mobile services [MSs] (e.g., phone calls, short/multimedia messages, and Internet data) incur a cost to both mobile users (MUs) and mobile service providers (MSPs). The proposed model MobPrice consists of dynamic data pricing schemes for mobile communication in order to achieve optimal usage of MSs at minimal prices. MobPrice inspires MUs to subscribe MSs with flexibility of data sharing and intra-peer exchanges, thereby reducing overall cost. The main contributions of MobPrice are three-fold. First, it proposes a novel k-level data-pricing (kDP) scheme for MSs. Second, it extends the kDP scheme with the notion of service-sharing-based pricing schemes to a collaborative peer-to-peer data-pricing (pDP) scheme and a cluster-based data-pricing (cDP) scheme to incorporate the notion of 'cluster' (made up of two or more MUs) in mobile communication. Third, our performance study shows that the proposed schemes are indeed effective in maximizing MS subscriptions and minimizing MS's price/user.

  • Lightning impulse $(1.2/44[\mus])$ and damped oscillating impulse $(Osc./44[\mus])$ : 0.83[MHz]) breakdown characteristics in sulphur-hexafluoride/nitrogen (SF6-N2) mixtures were investigated. The predischarge currents were observed to clarify the breakdown mechanism. th experiments were carried out under nonuniform electric fields disturbed by a needle-shaped protrusion whose length and diameter are 10[mm] and 1[mm] at total gas pressure up to 0.5[MPa] with nitrogen concentrations varying from 5 to 20[%] in the mixture. The electrical breakdowns of SF6-N2 mixtures for both the positive and negative polarities develop with steplike pulses in leader mechanism and the breakdown voltage -time (V-t) characteristics were affected by the space charge. The voltage-time curves for the negative oscillating impulse voltage were extended over the longer time range. The minimum breakdown voltages for the negative lightning and oscillating impulse voltage were higher than those for the positive ones. in particular the positive breakdown voltages were independent of the gas pressure.

한국산 생쥐의 염색체에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Chromosome of the Korean Mouse)

  • 한국산 생쥐를 재료로 하여 그 골수세포를 추출하고 공기건조법에 의해서 염색체수와 핵형을 분석하고 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 염색체의 형태는 centromere의 위치를 기준으로 하여 형태와 크기를 분류하였으며 한국산 생쥐는 암수 모두 염색체수가 2n=40이었고, 상염색체 및 성염색체 전부가 acrocentrices(telocentrices) 이고 Y염색체는 그중 가장 작은 acrocentrices 이었다.

  • In this paper, it is investigated Lorentz force equations for $N_1$ and $N_2$-magnetic curves in 3-Dimensional Euclidean space. We give the Lorentz force in the Bishop frame in ${\mathbb{E}}^3$. Then, we obtain a new characterization for a magnetic field V. Also, we also give examples for each curve.

Architectures for Arbitrarily Connected Synchronization Networks

  • In a synchronization (sync) $network^1$containing N nodes, it is shown (Theorem 1c) that an arbitrarily connected sync network & is the union of a countable set of isolated connecting sync networks${&_i,i= 1,2,.., L}, I.E., & = \bigcup_{I=1}^L&_i$ It is shown(Theorem 2e) that aconnecting sync network is the union of a set of disjoint irreducible subnetworks having one or more nodes. It is further shown(Theorem 3a) that there exists at least one closed irreducible subnetwork in $&_i$. It is further demonstrated that a con-necting sync network is the union of both a master group and a slave group of nodes. The master group is the union of closed irreducible subnetworks in $&_i$. The slave group is the union of non-colsed irre-ducible subnetworks in $&_i$. The relationships between master-slave(MS), mutual synchronous (MUS) and hierarchical MS/MUS ent-works are clearly manifested [1]. Additionally, Theorem 5 shows that each node in the slave group is accessible by at least on node in the master group. This allows one to conclude that the synchro-nization information avilable in the master group can be reliably transported to each node in the slave group. Counting and combinatorial arguments are used to develop a recursive algorithm which counts the number $A_N$ of arbitrarily connected sync network architectures in an N-nodal sync network and the number $C_N$ of isolated connecting sync network in &. EXamples for N=2,3,4,5 and 6 are provided. Finally, network examples are presented which illustrate the results offered by the theorems. The notation used and symbol definitions are listed in Appendix A.

Generation of Transgenic Mice with Overexpression of Mouse Resistin

  • The hormone resistin is associated with type II diabetes mellitus in rodent model. Resistin impairs glucose tolerance and insulin action. A new class of anti-diabetic drugs were called thiazolidinediones (TZDs) downreguates a resistin. Resistin gene expression is induced during adipocyte differentiation and resistin polypeptide is secreted by adipocytes. But, the correlation between increased adiposity and resistin remains unknown. The objectives of this study was to clone a mouse resistin CDNA and to generate transgenic mice overexpressing mouse resistin gene. The pCMV-mus/resistin gene was prepared from previous recombinant pTargeT$^{TM}$-mus/resistin by digestion of Bgl II, and has used for microin- jection into pronuclei of one cell embryos. Mouse resistin expression was detected in transgenic F$_1$mice by RT-PCR. The transgenic mouse with resistin gene expression has heavier body weight which was measured higher level of plasma glucose than that of normal mouse. And in diet-induced experiments, in fasting group, resistin expression was higher than that of re-feeding group. This result demonstrates that the resistin gene overexpressing mice may be became to obesity and be useful as an animal disease model to be diabetes caused by insulin resistance of resistin.n.

  • In this paper we introduce the new generalized difference sequence space $\ell_\infty$($\Delta_v^n$, M,p,q,s), $\bar{c}$($\Delta_v^n$,M,p,q,s), $\bar{c_0}$($\Delta_v^n$,M,p,q,s), m($\Delta_v^n$,M,p,q,s) and $m_0$($\Delta_v^n$,M,p,q,s) defined over a seminormed sequence space (X,q). We study some of it properties, like completeness, solidity, symmetricity etc. We obtain some relations between these spaces as well as prove some inclusion result.

무소오 소세키(夢窓疎石)의 작정기법 (A Study on the Architectural Method of Mus${\bar{o}}$ Soseki)

  • 본 연구는 무소오 소세키의 작품을 통해서 그의 작정기법을 밝히고자 하는 목적을 가지고 진행되었다. 본 연구에서는 무소오 소세키의 삶과 종교관을 통해서 무소오 소세키를 인간적으로, 종교적으로 이해하고자 했으며, 그의 작품 가운데 가장 대표적이라고 생각하는 에이호지, 에린지, 사이호지, 텐류지 등 4사찰을 대상으로 무소오 소세키가 추구한 작정관과 작정기법을 찾아보았다. 연구결과, 무소오 소세키는 불교의 선사상을 기본으로, 본인이 터득한 다양한 사상과 철학을 공간구성으로 상징화하고, 석조와 지천이라는 두 가지 정원요소를 통해서 구체화하였음을 확인할 수 있었다. 부처의 세계를 형상화한 석조와 마음 심(心)모양의 지천 구성기법에서 작정자의 절대적인 종교미를 알 수 있었다. 이러한 그의 작정기법은 당시 중국을 모티브로 한 일본 정원에서 벗어나, 선 공부를 위한 전용공간, 즉 방장정원을 고안하였으며, 이는 대표적인 일본정원 형식이 되었다. 만약 무소오 소세키의 작정술이 일본정원에 도입되지 않았다면 일본정원은 지금과 같이 상징적 개념을 가진 사유정원이 될 수 없었을 것이다. 본 연구에서 아쉽게 생각하는 것은 또 다른 선승 셋슈와 무소오 소세키를 비교연구하지 못했다는 것이다. 이 연구에 대해서는 다음 과제로 남기고자 한다.
