버퍼 기반 에너지 통신모드 기회적 제어를 통한 동적 적응 비디오 스트리밍 (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP with Buffer Based Opportunistic Control of Energy Communication Mode)

  • 최근 스트리밍 이용자는 자신이 처한 채널 상황에 따라 적응적으로 가장 적당한 비디오율(video rate)을 선택적으로 요청하여 서비스 받는 ABR(Adaptive Bitrate) 기법을 주로 이용하고 있다. 결과, 대부분의 ABR 비디오율 적응 기법 관련 연구는 채널 상황에 따른 실시간 비트율 적응에만 초점을 맞춘 나머지 모바일 기기의 배터리 의존성에 따른 에너지 제한적 특성을 놓치고 있다. 이는 모바일 장치의 중요한 특성을 고려하지 않은 것으로, 이에 따른 많은 에너지 소모는 궁극적으로 스트리밍 서비스 불만족의 원인이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 ABR 적응 기법의 최신 연구인 버퍼 기반 비트율 적응 방법에 모바일 장치의 배터리 제한적 특성을 고려하여, 기존의 최신 연구와 동일한 성능을 내면서도 불필요하게 소모 되는 에너지를 절약하는 기법을 제안한다. 에너지 소비를 줄이기 위해 버퍼에 스트리밍이 충분히 있으면 에너지 전원을 끄고 (off), 버퍼에 스트리밍이 충분히 있지 않은 경우 에너지 효율적 Prefetching통해 동적 적응 비디오 스트리밍을 서비스한다. 성능평가 결과, 세계 평균 모바일 다운로드 속도에서 기존 기법에 비해 에너지 소비율이 60%절약됨을 보였다.

명암변화와 칼라정보를 이용한 차량 번호판 인식 (Recognition of Car License Plates using Intensity Variation and Color Information)

  • 차량 번호판 인식 시스템의 개발에 있어서, 빛의 양 변화 및 번호판 인쇄 상태가 다양한 자연 환경에서의 높은 인식성능과 시스템 안정성 확보가 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 명암도 변화와 칼라정보를 단계별로 사용하여 이러한 문제를 해결하는 시스템을 제안한다. 다양한 번호판 상태와 종류의 차량영상에 대하여 안정적으로 동작하게 하기 위하여, 먼저 명암도 변화 횟수를 이용하여 다수의 번호판 후보 밴드(띠)를 찾는다. 상당히 어둡거나 밝게 입력된 영상에 대하여도 동일한 인식 성능을 얻기 위하여 후보밴드에 대하여 칼라정보를 이용한 밝기 조정을 수행하고, 정확한 번호판 경계를 추출하기 위하여 번호판 배경색에 근거한 이진화 및 윤곽선 추적을 수행한다. 각 번호판 후보 영역에 대하여 문자추출 및 문자인식을 병행하여 번호판 영역을 확정함으로써 번호판 추출 및 인식률을 높인다. 제안된 방법의 성능을 확인하기 위하여 다양한 환경에서 촬영된 200장의 영상에 대하여 인식 실험을 수행한 결과, 제안된 방법이 차량 번호판의 자동인식에 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인하였다.

일부 지역 여중생의 체중변이양상과 체중조절행위에 관한 연구 (Weight change pattern and weight control behavior among middle school girls)

  • The aim of this study was to determine the extent to which sociodemographic and health related life-style variables explain body weight distribution and to understand weight contol behavior. To study this study 298 students were selected, it was consisted of obesity group(101) and control group(197). The average age of subjects was 14.2 and the prevalence of obesity was 2-3 per class as 5.6% among 1,793. 71% among same subject was showed higher weight pattern than last one year, ovesity group which was obesity both in 93 and 94 was 34%. Correlation between body weight(under weight/obesity) and independent variables including sociodemographic factor and health- related life style tested through Multiple Classification Analysis was very significant, explained 36% of the total variance. Sociodemografic and hereditary factors such as education level, age of father and physical features of parents, life style factors as exercise preference and perceived health status showed highly contribution to body weight. Concretely, there were showed a higher obesity prevalence tendency when education level and age of father was high, physical features of parents was obesity. In otherwise, there were showed a higher underweight prevalence tendency when education level and age of father was low. Experience rates of weight control was 53% generally, 84% in obesity group, and 11% in underweight group. There were utilized weight control behaviors through diet method mainly in obesity group, diet and exercise methods in underweight group. There were showed that underweight group are prefer exercise to obesity group. Conclusionally, These findings suggest that education, age, physical features of parents, exercise preference and perceived health status is important factors related to body weight among middle school girls. Therefore, there will be considered as valuable factors when we practice health education and consultation related to body weight. Furthermore it is necessary to provide of various informations about weight control and to develop systematic weight control program.

우리나라 청소년의 수면시간이 자살생각에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Sleep Duration on Suicidal Ideation in Korean Adolescents)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of sleep duration on suicidal ideation in Korean adolescents. Methods: This study used the data drawn from Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey in 2013. A total data of 63,301 adolescents were included in the analysis. Included variables were general characteristics, health status variables, hours of sleep, and suicidal ideation. For sample description weighted percentage and means were used. Rao-Scott ${\chi}^2$ test and simple and multiple logistic regression with dummy variables were conducted with use of SAS 9.2. Results: Among general characteristics and health status variables, gender, grade, school level, school achievement, family's economic status, living with parents, subjective health, happiness, stress, and feeling of despair were found to be significantly related to suicidal ideation. Rates of having suicidal ideation were 22.4% in the case of students with less than 5 hours of sleep and 12.9% in students with 8 or more hours of sleep. After controlling general characteristics and subjectively perceived variables, hours of sleep was still significantly related to suicidal ideation. That is, compared to adolescents with 8 hours or more of sleep, those with less than 5 hours of sleep showed significantly higher risk for having suicidal ideation (adjusted odds ratio: 1.20, p<.001). Conclusion: These findings suggest that short sleep has negative effects on psychological health in adolescents. Particularly, less than 5 hours of sleep has harmful effect on adolescents' increased risk for having suicidal ideation.

18 시간까지의 허혈시간이 재접합 수지의 생존율에 미치는 영향 (Ischemia Time up to 18 Hours Does not Affect Survival Rate of Replanted Finger Digits)

  • Purpose: There are multiple dependent variables commonly attributed to survival of replanted digits. The ischemia time is thought to be a clinically relevant factor. However, controversy exists as large hand centers have reported successful replant outcomes independent of ischemic time. In this study, we present a single institution experience on the effect of ischemia time on the survival of completely amputated digits. Methods: A retrospective review of a single institution experience was performed. This cohort included all comers who had suffered complete amputation of a digit (Zone 2-4) and underwent replantation from 2003 to 2009. Demographic information as well as injury mechanism, ischemic time, and replantation outcome were recorded for each patient. Chi-square was used to analyze the result. Results: Mean age was 35.5 years old (2-69). Mean replantation survival was 89.5% (37/317). Survival rates were 94, 88, and 88% in respective groups of 0~6, 6~12, of > 12 hours of ischemia time. In chi-square analysis, there was no difference with $p$ value of 0.257. No other independent patient factors showed statistically significant relationship to replant survival rate. In the group with longest ischemia time (12~18 hours) replant survival rate was 88% (37/42). Conclusion: Prolonged ischemia time is commonly believed to be a contributing factor for replant survival. However, our experience has shown that survival rate is uniform up to 18 hours of ischemia.

북한이탈 청소년의 외상후 스트레스가 정신건강에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Posttraumatic Stress on the Mental Health among Adolescents of North Korean Refugees)

  • Objectives : This study investigated the influence of traumatic experience on the ego identity, self-esteem, and general psychopathology of adolescent North Korean refugees. Methods : The participants were 146 adolescents North Korean refugees who attended H High School for North Korean refugees. We divided the subjects into two groups according to the severity of their traumatic experience : the more-traumatic-experience group and the less-traumatic-experience group. Each group performed self-report assessments including an assessment to reveal demographic characteristics, the Traumatic Experiences Scale for North Korean Defectors, the Scale for Ego identity, the Scale for Self-esteem and the Symptom Check-90-Revision (SCL-90-R). Statistical analysis of t-test and multiple regression utilized SPSS 12.0 for Window for comparison between more-traumatic-experience group and less-traumatic-experience group. Results : The prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder among adolescents North Korean refugees was 37%. The factor with the greatest influence on ego identity was length of time living in South Korea, while, for self-esteem the most influential factor was perception of health. The more-traumatic-experience group had lower self-esteem scores on some subscales of the Scale for Ego identity. They had higher scores on all SCL-90-R subscales than the less-traumatic-experience group. Conclusion : Adolescent North Korean refugees experienced high rates of posttraumatic stress disorder. The more traumatic-experience-group had lower self esteem and poorer ego identity and mental health than the less-traumatic-experience group.

파이프라인 개념을 이용한 VOD 서버의 장애 복구 방법 연구 (Design of Pipeline-based Failure Recovery Method for VOD Server)

  • 클러스터 서버는 front-end 노드와 여러 backend 노드로 구성된다. backend 노드 수의 증가로 더 많은 클라이언트들에게 QoS(Quality of Service)를 보장하는 스트리밍 서비스를 할 수 있지만, backend 노드의 오류 가능성도 이와 비례하여 증가한다. 서버의 장애는 모든 스트리밍 서비스를 중단시킬 뿐 아니라 현재 재생 위치 정보도 잃어버린다. 본 논문에서는 backend 노드가 오류 상태가 될 때, 끊이지 않는 스트리밍 서비스를 지원하기 위한 복구 방법을 제안한다. 클러스터 기반의 VOD 서버 구조를 고려하지 않고, 기본적인 장애복구 기술을 사용한 애플리케이션은 복구를 위한 내부 네트워크 성능의 병목현상과 backend 노드들의 비효율적인 CPU 사용을 야기시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해, 파이프라인 개념을 이용한 새로운 장애 복구 방법을 제안한다.

Differential Signature of Obesity in the Relationship with Acute Kidney Injury and Mortality after Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting

  • Background: Obesity is related to several comorbidities and mortality, but its relationship with acute kidney injury (AKI) and long-term mortality remain undetermined in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting. Methods: Data from 3,018 patients (age ${\geq}18$ years) who underwent coronary artery bypass graft surgery from two tertiary referral centers were retrospectively reviewed between 2004 and 2015. Obesity was defined using the body mass index, according to the World Health Organization's recommendation. The odds and hazard ratios in post-surgical, AKI, and all-cause mortality were calculated after adjustment for multiple covariates. Patients were followed for $90{\pm}40.9$ months (maximum: 13 years). Results: Among the cohort, 37.4%, 2.4%, 21.1%, 35.1%, and 4.0% of patients were classified as normal weight, underweight, overweight-at-risk, obese I, and obese II, respectively. Post-surgical AKI developed in 799 patients (26.5%). Patients in the obese groups (overweight-at-risk to obese II) had a higher risk of AKI than did those in the normal-weight group. During the follow-up period, 787 patients (26.1%) died. Underweight patients had a higher risk of mortality than did normal-weight patients, whereas overweight-at-risk, obese I, and obese II patients showed better survival rates. Conclusion: After coronary artery bypass graft surgery, obese patients encountered a high risk of AKI, and underweight patients exhibited a low chance of survival. Awareness of both obese and underweight statuses should be raised in these patients.

머신러닝 기반 안드로이드 모바일 악성 앱의 최적 특징점 선정 및 모델링 방안 제안 (Modeling and Selecting Optimal Features for Machine Learning Based Detections of Android Malwares)

  • 모바일 운영체제 중 안드로이드의 점유율이 높아지면서 모바일 악성코드 위협은 대부분 안드로이드에서 발생하고 있다. 그러나 정상앱이나 악성앱이 진화하면서 권한 등의 단일 특징점으로 악성여부를 연구하는 방법은 유효성 문제가 발생하여 다양한 특징점 추출 및 기계학습을 통해 이를 극복하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 APK 파일에서 구동에 필요한 다섯 종류의 특징점들을 안드로가드라는 정적분석 툴을 사용하여 학습데이터의 특성을 추출한다. 또한 추출된 중요 특징점을 기반으로 모델링을 하는 세 가지 방법을 제시한다. 첫 번째 방법은 보안 전문가에 의해 엄선된 132가지의 특징점 조합을 바탕으로 모델링하는 것이다. 두 번째는 학습 데이터 7,000개의 앱에서 발생 빈도수가 높은 상위 99%인 8,004가지의 특징점들 중 랜덤포레스트 분류기를 이용하여 특성중요도가 가장 높은 300가지를 선정 후 모델링 하는 방법이다. 마지막 방법은 300가지의 특징점을 학습한 다수의 모델을 통합하여 하나의 가중치 투표 모델을 구성하는 방법이다. 추가적으로 오탐률 및 미탐률을 개선하기 위해 권한 정보를 모두 제외하여 특징점을 재구성하고 위와 같은 환경으로 모델링하였다. 최종적으로 가중치 투표 모델인 앙상블 알고리즘 모델을 사용하여 97.8%로 정확도가 개선되었고 오탐률은 1.9%로 성능이 개선된 것이 확인되었다.

오염 지중환경 특성화와 자연저감평가를 위한 말단전자수용과정(TEAPs) 분석 및 평가기술 소개 (Review of Analytical and Assessment Techniques of Terminal Electron Accepting Processes (TEAPs) for Site Characterization and Natural Attenuation in Contaminated Subsurface Environments)

  • Monitoring and assessing terminal electron accepting processes (TEAPs) are one of the most important steps to remediate contaminated sites via various in-situ techniques. TEAPs are a part of the microbial respiration reactions. Microorganisms gain energy from these reactions and reduces pollutants. Monitoring TEAPs enables us to predict degradability of contaminants and degradation rates. In many countries, TEAPs have been used for characterization of field sites and management of groundwater wells. For instance, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provided strategies for groundwater quality and well management by applying TEAPs monitoring. Denmark has also constructed TEAPs map of local unit area to develop effective groundwater managing system, particularly to predict and assess nitrogen contamination. In case of Korea, although detailed soil survey and groundwater contamination assessment have been employed, site investigation guidelines using TEAPs have not been established yet. To better define TEAPs in subsurface environments, multiple indicators including ion concentrations, isotope compositions and contaminant degradation byproducts must be assessed. Furthermore, dissolved hydrogen concentrations are regarded as significant evidence of TEAPs occurring in subsurface environment. This review study introduces optimal sampling techniques of groundwater and dissolved hydrogen, and further discuss how to assess TEAPs in contaminated subsurface environments according to several contamination scenarios.
