Dynamic performance of reduced order model of multivariable controller for generating turbine (발전터빈 용 다변수 제어기의 축약모델 동특성)

  • This paper presents a model reduction procedure of the high order MIMO (multi input multi output) controller designed for the steam turbine in the generating plant. The application limit to reduction of the order is reviewed by variation in Hankel singular value as well as by variation in singular value Bode diagrams of transfer function matrices. Dynamic performances in the time domain are also compared for each reduced order model.

  • IEEE 802.11n standards introduced a mixed-mode format frame structure to achieve higher throughput with multiple antennas while providing backward compatibility with legacy systems. Although multi-input multi-output channel estimation was possible only with high-throughput long training fields (HT-LTFs), the proposed scheme utilizes a legacy LTF as well as HT-LTFs in a decision feedback manner to improve the accuracy of the estimates. It was verified through theoretical analysis and simulations that the proposed scheme effectively enhances the mean square error performance.

  • 본 논문은 수평적 시공간 부호화 기법(Horizontal Space-Time Coding)과 송수신단에 별도의 빔형성 기법을 결합한 JBSTC(Joint Beamforming Space-Time Coding) 구조에 대한 제안 및 동작원리를 기술하고 성능을 분석하였다. JBSTC는 MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) 송수신 시스템 채널 모델링을 기반으로 송신측 안테나간 상호 상관 행렬과 수신측 안테나간 상호 상관 행렬을 이용하여 송수신 빔형성기의 안테나 가중치들을 계산한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 JBSTC 방식은 송수신단에서 발생하는 안테나 간격과 각퍼짐에 따른 상호 상관 값을 효과적으로 보정함으로써 기존의 수평적 시공간 부호화 기법보다 우수함을 알 수 있다.

  • 데이터 전송률이 고속화되고 있는 이동통신환경에서 한정된 주파수에서 효율적으로 데이터를 전송하는 방법에 대한 요구가 증대하고 있다. 이러한 과제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로써 다중 안테나 기술이 표준 시스템으로서 논의되고 있다. 차세대 통신 시스템으로서 고려되고 있는 3GPP LTE (Long Term Evolution)에서도 다양한 MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) 기술들이 제안되고 있다. 현재 이루어지고 있는 MIMO 표준화 동향을 살펴보고, 제안된 기술들의 특징들을 정리한다.

  • In this paper, a feedback linearization control is proposed to regulate the output voltages of a three-phase four-wire inverter under the unbalanced and nonlinear load conditions. First, the nonlinear model of system including the output LC filters is derived in the d-q-0 synchronous reference frame. Then, the system is linearized by the multi-input multi-output feedback linearization. The tracking controllers for d-q-0-components of three-phase line-to-neutral load voltages are designed by linear control theory. The experimental results have shown that the proposed control method gives the good performance in response to the load conditions.

  • A Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system is a nonlinear multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system. This system is very difficult to control the temperature and the humidity ratio of a thermal space because of complex nonlinear characteristics. This paper proposes an adaptive fuzzy output feedback control based on observer for the nonlinear HVAC system. The nonlinear HVAC system is linearized through dynamic extension. State observers are designed for estimating state variables of the HVAC system. Fuzzy systems are employed to approximate uncertain nonlinear functions of the HVAC system with unavailable state variables. The obtained controller compares with an adaptive feedback controller. Simulation is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed adaptive fuzzy method.

  • A Practical application of self-tuning fuzzy controller to a multi-input multi-output complex system of a vehicle engine is investigated. The ovjective is to design a controller to improve the transient performance in torque and RPM mode changes. For the performance improvement in the multivariable comples system, the self-tuning function of internal parameters is essential and practical. The measured output variables using different control schemes are compared the advanteges of the self-tuning fuzzy logic controller are better output performances and the effectiveness in the controller design using many parameters.

Minimum Time Regulation of DC-DC Converters in Damping Mode with an Optimal Adjusted Sliding Mode Controller

  • In this paper, a new development in the time optimal control theory in sliding mode control systems for multi-quadrant buck converters with a variable load is presented. In general, the closed-loop time optimal control system is applied to multi-quadrant buck converters for output regulation, so that an optimal switching surface is obtained. Moreover, an adjusted optimal sliding mode controller is suggested which adjusts the controller parameters to give an optimal switching surface. In addition, a description of the transient response of the closed-loop system is proposed and used to damp any output or input disturbances in minimum time. Numerical simulations and experimental results are employed to demonstrate that the output regulation time and transient performances of dc/dc converters using the proposed technique are improved effectively when compared to the classical sliding mode control method.

  • This paper describes the design of high power transistor packages using high power chip transistor dies, chip capacitors and a new wire bonding technique. Input impedance variation and output power performances according to wire inductance and resistance for internal matching are also discussed. A multi crossing type(MCT) wire bonding technique is proposed to replace the conventional stepping stone type(SST) wire bonding technique, and eventually to improve the output power performances of high power transistor packages. Using the proposed MCT wire bonding technique, it is possible to design high power transistor packages with highly improved output power compared to SST even the package size is kept to be the same.

  • In order to cope with safety issues regarding fisher vessels, a device is required with the real-time monitoring for the safety and risk factors for a capability of informing and alerting function. In embedded modules, there is a trouble that we should design device drivers and application programs for usage of the multi-function sensors in order to detect risk factors. In this paper, we designed hardware circuit and implemented control program of the sensor part using PIC18F, in order to control and process the input and output data of multi-function sensors without device drivers and application programs. We confirmed the operation of multi-function sensor module to generate output data according to sensor operation.
