The Influence of Formalized Task Environment on the Experience of Job Stress: Focused on Locus of Control as Moderate Variable (공식화된 과업환경과 직무스트레스간의 관계: 통제위치의 조절역할을 중심으로)

  • It was investigated this study how much individual's job stress would be explained by formalized task environment. also, would be explained locus of control as moderate variable. The data used in the study were collected from employees in domestic corporate. After sending the total of 150 questionnaires, 113 responses were returned. Among the returned questionnaires, 9 poor responses were excluded, and the remained 104 copies were analyzed. The final regression model included formalized task environment as statistically significant, but locus of control as statistically non-significant. it was relied on a lack of sample. This study was to open job stress studies up multi level study(individual - organizational level).

  • In this paper, we studied about the level controller of optical signal with 40 channels by 4 VOA(Variable Optical Attenuator) with 12 channels. Total 8 microprocessors control 40 chamois for control of optical signal level so that a microprocessor controls 5 channels each. Moreover a microprocessor was added to communicate with outside and transfer instruction to each microprocessor. The output optical signal is measured and VOA is controlled as a result of it. The VOA outputs is inputted into PD(Photo Detector) at once. We could control multi-channel optical signals simply like this.

  • A gradient-based evolutionary optimization methodology is presented for finding the optimal design of both the added dampers and their supporting members to minimize an objective function of a linear multi-storey structure subjected to the critical ground acceleration. The objective function is taken as the sum of the stochastic interstorey drifts. A frequency-dependent viscoelastic damper and the supporting member are treated as a vibration control device. Due to the added stiffness by the supplemental viscoelastic damper, the variable critical excitation needs to be updated simultaneously within the evolutionary phase of the optimal damper placement. Two different models of the entire damper unit are investigated. The first model is a detailed model referred to as "the 3N model" where the relative displacement in each component (i.e., the spring and the dashpot) of the damper unit is defined. The second model is a simpler model referred to as "the N model" where the entire damper unit is converted into an equivalent frequency-dependent Kelvin-Voigt model. Numerical analyses for 3 and 10-storey building models are conducted to investigate the characters of the optimal design using these models and to examine the validity of the proposed technique.

High Speed Precision Control of Mobile Robot using Neural Network in Real Time (신경망을 이용한 이동 로봇의 실시간 고속 정밀제어)

  • In this paper we propose a fast and precise control algorithm for a mobile robot, which aims at the self-tuning control applying two multi-layered neural networks to the structure of computed torque method. Through this algorithm, the nonlinear terms of external disturbance caused by variable task environments and dynamic model errors are estimated and compensated in real time by a long term neural network which has long learning period to extract the non-linearity globally. A short term neural network which has short teaming period is also used for determining optimal gains of PID compensator in order to come over the high frequency disturbance which is not known a priori, as well as to maintain the stability. To justify the global effectiveness of this algorithm where each of the long term and short term neural networks has its own functions, simulations are peformed. This algorithm can also be utilized to come over the serious shortcoming of neural networks, i.e., inefficiency in real time.

  • As the value and relative importance of service industry boosts in modern society, to strengthen competitiveness companies starts to recognize the quality of service as a key component in their business operations. Furthermore, companies that apply the quality of services as their competitive method are concentrating more on the area of quality control. Nevertheless, the previous researches related to this area were more focused on the aspect of measure rather than the control. In this paper, each fractionated customer group in consideration of its characteristics is made in use of estimating the quality of service using the conjoint analysis. The principal variable selective method which a small number of variables is used to control a large number of variables is applied. Hotelling's $T^2$ control chart is applied to administer many relative variables of the quality of service because it is a Multi-item. If abnormal indications appear by adding new data, the method to find and improve variables using MYT decomposition is suggested to apply.

  • As the strip caster system that produces a regular steel plate can be considered as a complicate nonlinear multi-variable system, it is not easy to obtain an effective control system. One way to overcome the difficulties is to apply the intelligent neuro-fuzzy fusion approach in developing the control scheme. The neuro-fuzzy control scheme possesses several distinct advantages, including the fact that it doesn't need the exact mathematical modeling of controlled plant and can provided some robustness in the control scheme. In this paper, an intelligent neuro-fuzzy for the stripe caster system will be proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme will be demonstrated by computer simulation.

  • This paper proposes a design of stepper motor control in microstep driven mode using FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) for hardware implementation. The methods to drive stepper motor in microstep excitation mode are to control of the controlling currents in each phase windings of stepper motor with reference signals. These reference signals are used for controlling the current levels, the required variation of current levels with rotor position can be obtained from the ideal linear or sinusoidal approximations to the static torque-displacement ($T-{\theta}$) characteristic curve. In addition, the hardware implementation of stepper motor controller can be designed uses VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuits Hardware Description Language) and synthesis using an Altera FPGA, FLEX10K family, EPF10K20RC240-4 device as target technology and use MAX+PlusII program for overall development. A multi-stack variable-reluctance stepper motor of Sanyo Denki is used in the experiments.

  • The present study concerns the simulation of supply-air control in a variable air volume (VAV) system. A stratified lumped thermal model (multi-zone model) is suggested to predict local thermal response of an air-conditioned space. The effects of various thermal parameters such as the cooling system capacity, the thermal mass of air-conditioned space, the time delay of thermal effect, and the building envelope heat transmission are investigated in detail. Further, the influence of control parameters, PI control factor and the sensor location on a VAV system is quantitatively delineated. The results obtained show that the previous homogeneous lumped thermal model (1-zone model) may predict a significantly different thermal response in the air-conditioned space according to the sensor location.

  • This paper presents an approach of complex control method(CCM) real-time simulation and rapid prototyping for aero-engine control system and describes its principle and realization in detail. This approach is mainly based on MATLAB/RTW for rapid prototyping from system modeling to embedded implementation. According to the simulation results between automatic code and manual code for an aeroengine multi-variable control method, it shows that this approach is feasible and effective, and not only decreases development cycle but also improves the reliability and universality. So a series of problems can be resolved during the simulation stage and rapid application to prototype testing.

A Study on Variable Speed Limit Strategies in Freeway Work Zone Using Multi-Criteria Decision Making Process (다기준 의사결정기반 고속도로 공사구간 VSL전략에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a methodology for operating variable speed limit (VSL) strategies in freeway work zones. A notable feature in this study is to incorporate a multi-criteria decision making process into deriving better VSL strategies. Decision criteria in this study include operational efficiency, safety, and environmental impacts. Travel speed, acceleration noise, and CO2 were used as performance measures for evaluating VSL strategies. A multi-criteria value function was developed through an analytical hierarchical process (AHP) for representing expert's knowledge. Then, a variety of VSL operations scenarios were investigated utilizing a microscopic traffic simulation suite, VISSIM. The proposed methodology would be useful in supporting more efficient, safer, and more environment-friendly traffic operations and control in freeway work zones.
