An effective approach to generate Wikipedia infobox of movie domain using semi-structured data

  • Wikipedia infoboxes have emerged as an important structured information source on the web. To compose infobox for an article, considerable amount of manual effort is required from an author. Due to this manual involvement, infobox suffers from inconsistency, data heterogeneity, incompleteness, schema drift etc. Prior works attempted to solve those problems by generating infobox automatically based on the corresponding article text. However, there are many articles in Wikipedia that do not have enough text content to generate infobox. In this paper, we present an automated approach to generate infobox for movie domain of Wikipedia by extracting information from several sources of the web instead of relying on article text only. The proposed methodology has been developed using semantic relations of article content and available semi-structured information of the web. It processes the article text through some classification processes to identify the template from the large pool of template list. Finally, it extracts the information for the corresponding template attributes from web and thus generates infobox. Through a comprehensive experimental evaluation the proposed scheme was demonstrated as an effective and efficient approach to generate Wikipedia infobox.

  • This study made of centrally actual application in general arts classes based on movie in university. Especially, I analyzed the activities of the class with 'Untouchable: 1% friendship' among 6 films. The objects of this study are 44 students of D university in Busan Metropolitan City who take 'creative fusion from movie' general arts class which opened first semester in 2016. In this study, students were able to watch movies through the creative class, which was out of the traditional classroom method, and after 15 hours of learning the quiz online, they conducted 15 weeks as a teaching method to perform tasks, presentations, experiments, and experiences in regular class time. The results of this study are as follows. 'It is a general arts class that makes movements live,' 'It is a general arts class that shows movies from various perspectives,' and 'It is a general arts class that makes me know.' This suggests that the educational medium, which is easily accessible in everyday life, and the general arts class, which is active in the space outside the framework, are perceived as stimulating curiosity and adding fun to college students.

  • Space design in the 21st century has been developed in connection with media more various than ever. In the age of image represented by popular culture, space design connected with media is based on post-reason thoughts constituting the post-modern society, and reflects polysemously and pluralistically changes in the society through the identification of art with life. The movie, which is an image perceived particularly sensibly and the most impractical simulated image among various illusionary media images composing the contemporary society, is growing rapidly in interrelation with various fields of art based on its peculiar nature, and its influence is getting more extensive. The movie manipulates mass society to create what does not exist and restore lost images into new realities through the reproduction of extremely realistic senses, and uses them in establishing virtual realities and creating illusionary images representing the age of simularc. The illusionary expression of the movie produces new meanings through disintegrating existing meanings and recombining them, and expresses popular culture from a position closest to our everyday life. Such an analytical attitude toward the illusionary movie reflecting our society can be a new approach to space design. The present study attempts to suggest the possibility of applying such an illusionary characteristic of the movie as a methodology of space design by utilizing the characteristic as a conceptual language of space design.

Educational Effects of Interdisciplinary Creativity Promotion Program Based on Movie-Assisted Flipped Learning of creativity and STEAM literacy indexes in College Students (영화를 활용한 플립러닝 기반의 학제 간 융합 창의성 증진 프로그램이 대학생의 창의성과 융합인재소양에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how flip learning based interdisciplinary fusion creativity promotion program using movie is effective for university students creativity and fusion talent literacy. To do this, we conducted a total of 15 sessions for a total of 89 students from 44 college students and 45 non - attendance college students who attended the "Creative Fusion Creative Encounters with Film" course at Busan Metropolitan City. The collected data were analyzed by independent sample t-test using SPSS 23.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. First, flip learning based interdisciplinary fusion creativity enhancement program using movie was significant in the order of patience / attachment, humor, self - confidence, imagination, openness, independence, and curiosity in the creativity sub - domain of college students. Second, flip learning - based interdisciplinary convergence creativity enhancement programs using movies were found to have a significant effect in the order of convergence, care, communication, and creativity in the sub - areas of university students' literacy achievement. The findings of the study proved the educational effects of the interdisciplinary creativity promotion program that was based on movie-assisted flipped learning, and this study is expected to suggest some of the right directions for education-based interdisciplinary research and to give some suggestions on that.

Grading System of Movie Review through the Use of An Appraisal Dictionary and Computation of Semantic Segments (감정어휘 평가사전과 의미마디 연산을 이용한 영화평 등급화 시스템)

  • Assuming that the whole meaning of a document is a composition of the meanings of each part, this paper proposes to study the automatic grading of movie reviews which contain sentimental expressions. This will be accomplished by calculating the values of semantic segments and performing data classification for each review. The ARSSA(The Automatic Rating System for Sentiment analysis using an Appraisal dictionary) system is an effort to model decision making processes in a manner similar to that of the human mind. This aims to resolve the discontinuity between the numerical ranking and textual rationalization present in the binary structure of the current review rating system: {rate: review}. This model can be realized by performing analysis on the abstract menas extracted from each review. The performance of this system was experimentally calculated by performing a 10-fold Cross-Validation test of 1000 reviews obtained from the Naver Movie site. The system achieved an 85% F1 Score when compared to predefined values using a predefined appraisal dictionary.

  • In this busy world actually stress is continuously grow up in research and monitoring social websites. The social interaction is a process by which people act and react in relation with each other like play, fight, dance we can find social interactions. In this we find social structure means maintain the relationships among peoples and group of peoples. Its a limit and depends on its behavior. Because relationships established on expectations of every one involve depending on social network. There is lot of difference between emotional pain and physical pain. When you feel stress on physical body we all feel with tensions, stress on physical consequences, physical effects on our health. When we work on social network websites, developments or any research related information retrieving etc. our brain is going into stress. Actually by social network interactions like watching movies, online shopping, online marketing, online business here we observe sentiment analysis of movie reviews and feedback of customers either positive/negative. In movies there we can observe peoples reaction with each other it depends on actions in film like fights, dances, dialogues, content. Here we can analysis of stress on brain different actions of movie reviews. All these movie review analysis and stress on brain can calculated by machine learning techniques. Actually in target oriented business, the persons who are working in marketing always their brain in stress condition their emotional conditions are different at different times. In this paper how does brain deal with stress management. In software industries when developers are work at home, connected with clients in online work they gone under stress. And their emotional levels and stress levels always changes regarding work communication. In this paper we represent emotional intelligence with stress based analysis using machine learning techniques in social networks. It is ability of the person to be aware on your own emotions or feeling as well as feelings or emotions of the others use this awareness to manage self and your relationships. social interactions is not only about you its about every one can interacting and their expectations too. It about maintaining performance. Performance is sociological understanding how people can interact and a key to know analysis of social interactions. It is always to maintain successful interactions and inline expectations. That is to satisfy the audience. So people careful to control all of these and maintain impression management.

Effects of the healing movie programs on post-traumatic stress syndrome, resilience, and cognitive emotional control strategies of Korean cancer survivors: a non-equivalent control group pretest- posttest design

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of the healing movie programs for cancer survivors on post-traumatic stress syndrome, resilience, and cognitive emotional control strategies, a quasi-experimental design. Methods: Participants included 39 cancer survivors registered in four healthcare centers in Gyeongsangnam-do. The intervention and control group included 19 and 20 participants, respectively. The healing program using movies developed in this study was provided to the intervention group in 10 sessions, occurring twice each week for 5 weeks and lasting 80 minutes per session. The data were collected using structured questionnaires and they were analyzed to examine differences in the test scores before and after the intervention. Results: In the intervention group, the post-traumatic stress syndrome (F = 14.97, p < . 001) decreased significantly and the resilience (F = 19.55, p < .001) and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation (F = 5.11, p = .029) increased significantly. The difference between the intervention and control group was statistically significant in post-traumatic stress syndrome, resilience, and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation. Thus, the healing program of this study significantly reduced post-traumatic stress, and it improved both resilience and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation of cancer cancer survivors. Conclusion: The healing program is an effective psychosocial nursing intervention that helps cancer survivors feel better about their illness, and it helps them healthy transition from negative emotions to increased resilience and positive cognitive emotions.

A Study of Correlation Analysis between Increase / Decrease Rate of Tweets Before and After Opening and a Box Office Gross (개봉 전후 트윗 개수의 증감률과 영화 매출간의 상관관계)

  • Predicting a box office gross in the film industry is an important goal. Many works have analyzed the elements of a film making. Previous studies have suggested several methods for predicting box office such as a model for distinguishing people's reactions by using a sentiment analysis, a study on the period of influence of word-of-mouth effect through SNS. These works discover that a word of mouth (WOM) effect through SNS influences customers' choice of movies. Therefore, this study analyzes correlations between a box office gross and a ratio of people reaction to a certain movie by extracting their feedback on the film from before and after of the film opening. In this work, people's reactions to the movie are categorized into positive, neutral, and negative opinions by employing sentiment analysis. In order to proceed the research analyses in this work, North American tweets are collected between March 2011 and August 2012. There is no correlation for each analysis that has been conducted in this work, hereby rate of tweets before and after opening of movies does not have relationship between a box office gross.

Longitudinal Research on the Development of Teaching Ability of Pre-service Science Teachers (예비 과학 교사의 수업 능력 발달에 대한 종단적 연구)

  • The college of education should support pre-service science teachers to develop various abilities as a teacher, in which the teaching ability is the most fundamental one. This study is the result of a longitudinal research project following the processes that pre-service science teachers develop their teaching ability in a college of education. The data gathered include movie clips of seminar presentation, teaching demonstration, secondary school science experiment, and classes in the practicum. In order to analyze the teaching abilities in various context, a framework was developed. The framework consists of 'content,' 'progress,' and 'verbal/nonverbal' with which the movie clips of 5 pre-service science teachers were analyzed. The teaching abilities of pre-service science teachers showed overall development, that include the understanding of learners and curriculum in the 'content,' the time-management and the interaction with learners in the 'progress,' and the nonverbal behavior in the 'verbal/nonverbal.' The implications were discussed on the education in the college of education, such as the increase of teaching opportunities for pre-service science teachers and the support for those opportunities.
