We use three sensors such as a vision sensor, a proximity sensor, and a force/torque sensor fused by fuzzy logic in a peg-in-hole task. The vision and proximity sensors are usually used for gross motion control and the information is used here to position the peg around the hole. The force/torque sensor is used for fine motion control and the information is used to insert the peg into the hole precisely. Throughout the task, the information of all the three sensors is fused by a fuzzy logic controller. Some simulation results are also presented for verification.

If vibration occurs due to fast movement of the robot, the camera image is unstable. No longer the eyes of a robot can not perform the role. Research methods for the stabilization of shaky video is required. The most popular method is to use the motion vector. But, the drawback to this method will require a large amount of operation. And the limits of the embedded robot. Therefore, in real-time transmission of images to be difficult. This paper proposes a motion sensor using the image stabilization. Uses data that is output from the motion sensor. So, not related to the progress of the robot movement is a way to remove it from the video.
I-phone presented a new mobile control type by the introducing motion recognition sensor and that influenced on game application development so that led a lot of games using kinds of sensors. In this paper, we divided the game enjoyment into 5 factors for the embodiment of the sensor's influence direction on the enjoyment. We experimented two game, which have same content, different devices in using motion recognition sensor or not for clarifying the distinction between devices. As a experiment source game, we used Cooking Mama, as a experimental device, we used I-pod touch and NDS. This experiment shows a motion recognition sensor control's enjoyment is far superior to touch sensor. This sensor got high marks on every fun factors, stimulus, absorption, empathy, accomplishment and variation. Especially, stimulus and empathy showed great differences. In this case, we found the fact that extended communication between the gamer and the device can be fun.
In this study, we propose a low-noise transceiver for 10GHz motion sensor. The transceiver presented here has a circuit(Hittite HMC908LC5) that is composed of a two way-$0^{\circ}$ power splitter(the 1:2 block) and a $90^{\circ}$ Hybrid. The noise reduction circuit utilizes an LNA followed by an image reject mixer which is driven by an LO buffer amplifier. A modeling and analysis have been pursued using CST MWS. A prototype sensor was manufactured to measure the performance and experimental results show that the proposed sensor is good enough to use for a accurate motion sensor.
In recent times, motion capture technology using inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors has been actively used in sports. In this study, we developed a canoe paddle, installed with an IMU and a water level sensor, as a system tool for training and calibration purposes in water sports. The hardware was fabricated to control an attitude heading reference system (AHRS) module, a water level sensor, a communication module, and a wireless charging circuit. We also developed an application program for the mobile device that processes paddling motion data from the paddling operation and also visualizes it. An AHRS module with acceleration, gyro, and geomagnetic sensors each having three axes, and a resistive water level sensor that senses the immersion depth in the water of the paddle represented the paddle motion. The motion data transmitted from the paddle device is internally decoded and classified by the application program in the mobile device to perform visualization and to operate functions of the mobile training/correction system. To conclude, we tried to provide mobile knowledge service through paddle sport data using this technique. The developed system works reasonably well to be used as a basic training and posture correction tool for paddle sports; the transmission delay time of the sensor system is measured within 90 ms, and it shows that there is no complication in its practical usage.
Although diverse researches on sensing method of human movement have been performed, there are still many limitations to the existing methods. As a part of supplementing the limitations to the existing motion sensing methods, this study aimed to execute an exploratory examination on a POF-based sleeve-shaped motion sensor for less restrictive sensing of human movement. In this study, a set of POF-based motion sensor, which was embedded in a sleeve-shaped platform was devised, and a set of exploratory experiments was performed on the possibility of sensing of human movement as diverse as in daily life, through this device. The scope of this research was limited to an exploration on the possibility and basic elements of POF-based sleeve-shaped motion sensor, while the influence of sleeve patterns, those of wearer's somatotype, those of sewing method were not studied in this study. When compared to the pre-existing methods, the POF-based motion sensor platformed on sleeve in this study, which was purposively devised to be applied to the motion sensing clothing shows some beneficial characteristics : more sensitive measurement on human motion, low cost, no timely restriction in sensing, no request for gigantic apparatus and space for sensing.

Recently, intelligent surveillance camera systems are needed popularly. However, current researches are focussed on improvement of a single module rather than implementation of an integrated system. In this paper, we implemented a moving wireless surveillance camera system which is composed of face detection, and using motion sensor. In our implementation, we used a camera module from SHARP, a pair of wireless video transmission module from ECOM, body of moving robot used for A4WD1 Combo kit for RC, a pair of ZigBee RF wireless transmission module from ROBOBLOCK, and a motion sensor module (AMN14111) from PANASONIC. We used OpenCV library for face dection and MFC for implement software. We identified real-time operations of face detection, PTT control, and motion sensor detecton. Thus, the implemented system will be useful for the applications of remote control, human detection, and using motion sensor.
This study focusses on the development of a motion-sensing smart leggings prototype with the help of a module that monitors motion using a fiber-type stretch sensor. Additionally, it acquires data on Electrocardiogram (ECG), respiration, and body temperature signals, for the development of smart clothing used in online exercise coaching and customized healthcare systems. The research process was conducted in the following order: 1) Fabrication of a fiber-type elastic strain sensor for motion monitoring, 2) Positioning and attaching the sensor, 3) Pattern development and three-dimensional (3D) design, 4) Prototyping 5) Wearability test, and 6) Expert evaluation. The 3D design method was used to develop an aesthetic design, and for sensing accurate signal acquisition functions, wearability tests, and expert evaluation. As a result, first, the selection or manufacturing of an appropriate sensor for the function is of utmost importance. Second, the selection and attachment method of a location that can maximize the function of the sensor without interfering with any activity should be studied. Third, the signal line selection and connection method should be considered, and fourth, the aesthetic design should be reflected along with functional verification. In addition, the selection of an appropriate material is important, and tests for washability and durability must be made. This study presented a manufacturing method to improve the functionality and design of smart clothing, through the process of developing a prototype of motion-sensing smart leggings.
In this paper, we present a robust and fast method that enables real-time computing of axial motion component of different points of a scene from a stereo images sequence. The aim of our method is to establish axial motion maps by computing a range of disparity maps. We propose a solution in two steps. In the first step we estimate motion with a low level computing for an image point by a detection estimation-structure. In the second step, we use the neighbourhood information of the image point with morphology operation. The motion maps are established with a constant computation time without spatio-temporal matching.
