The purpose of this study was to analyze a causal relationship of children's behavior problem and the related variables(socio-economic status mother's psychological problem mother's affective parenting behavior children's negative emotionality and children's self-control). The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) Socio-economic status had indirect in influence to children's behavior problem via mother's psychological problem and mother's affective parenting behavior. 2) Mother's psychological problem had direct influence and also indirect influence to hildren's behavior problem via mother's affective parenting behavior and children's negative emotionality. 3) Mother's affective parenting behavior and children's negative emotionality had a direct effect on children's behavior problem and affected indirectly via children's self-control. 4) Children's self-control had direct influence to children's behavior problem. 5) Mother's psychological problem was the most signi icant variable affecting children's behavior problem.

Based on attachment theory and family system theory, this study was attempted to construct a path model in which showed how adult son-mother relationship and mother's marital relationship influence son's marital satifaction. Predictor variables examined were the attachment between mother and married son, mother's dependency, mother's marital relationship, son's filial obligation, son's marriage years. Data were analyzed from survey and structured interviews conducted with 111 families including married son, his wife and his mother. Results indicated that the attachment between mother and married son influenced directly to son's marital satisfaction while the other variables had an indirect influence via the attachment between mother and son. The importance of the relationship between mother and married son to son's marital satisfaction received string support.

The object of this study was to examine the sex role attitudes of the housewives(mothers) and daughters in Seoul, and whether mother sex role attitude had influence on her daughter's and the sociodemographic variables of mother had an effect on her daughter sex role attitude or not. Questionnaire was given to randomly selected mothers and daughters in Seoul in sept., 1983. Data from the 384 responses was analyzed by percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, F-test and t-test . It was found that; 1) Generally, the housewives in Seoul had traditional sex role attitudes. 2) the housewives who were educated the high level, paied the higher salary and employed in professional job had the moderner sex role attitudes, age, religion, employed or unemployed were not variables to have influence on the mother sex role attitude. 3) The adolescent daughters in Seoul had moderner sex role attitude than that if their mothers. 4) Mother sex role attitude had influence on the daughter's 5) The daughter sex role attitude was influenced by the mother's sociodemographic variables. The daughter sex role attitude brought up form the mother who was educated the higher level and employed in professional job was modern. But mother's age, religion and employed or unemployed had little influence on the daughter sex role attitude.

The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of a mother's rearing attitude and children's self-concept on children's relations with friends and teachers. Specifically, this study investigated children's self-concept to mediate the relationship between the mother's rearing attitude and the children's relations with friends and leachers. The Subjects were 222 fourth year elementary school and their mothers. Data were analyzed rising the SAS program. The results of this study were as follows: Mother's rearing attitude did not directly influence children's relations with friends and teachers. But children's self-concept influenced the children's relations with friends and teachers. In particular children's self-concept appeared to mediate the relation between mother's rearing attitude and children's relations with friends and teachers.

This study investigated the effects of personal (gender, school grade and causal attribution for success and failure) and environmental (mother's evaluation of their children and mother's efficacy) variables on children's perceived competence. The subjects were 595 fourth and sixth graders and their mothers selected from 3 elementary schools in Pusan. Children's perceived competence was studied under 3 categories : scholastic, social, and athletic competence. Data were analyzed by SAS/PC+ program. Internal attribution for the success had a positive influence on perceived competence while internal attribution for failure had a negative influence on perceived competence. Mother's evaluation of their children had a stronger influence on perceived competence than mother's efficacy. Mother's evaluation of their children was the most influential variable in all 3 categories of competence while secondary and tertiary variables varied by internal attribution for success or failure and by gender.

In order to adapt to the economic change with the rapid world change, the wise consumers should have positive cognizance of their roles and are requested to fulfil their duties as a consummer. Such capability of the consumer could be acquired from home, mass media and school, and specially the role of mother at home would have a great influence on their early children's consummer activities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the interrelationship of the consumer behavior between mother and their children. As a result of this study, the mother with higher educational background could manage effectively the allowance of the children. The mother with older age had a great influence on the consumer's role of the children and high record of the execution. Employed mother had higher level of execution for the consumer's rights than their count part. Accordingly, the consumer behavior of the mother will have an influence on the children's consumer behavior. Such a result showed the meaningful statistic relations(r=3.6, p<.001) for the economy activity of the children the home management and economy life of the mother, and the purchasing activity of the children including the execution of the consumer's right. In their regard, there was the significant statistic relations(r=19, p<.05) between the children's pocket money and the housekeeping management of the mother. In the meantime, it showed that another changing factor concerned with the consumer behavior of the mother have little influence the children's allowance.

This study sought to investigate the influence of mother's marital conflict and avoidance coping strategies with marital conflict on school aged child-rearing stress, on the focus of interaction mother's marital conflict and avoidance coping strategies with marital conflict. The subjects comprised 234 mothers of school aged children in Daegu and Keoungbok. The collected data were analyzed by mean of t-test, Pearson Correlation, and Hierarchical regression using SPSS Win 19.0. The results were as follows. (1) Mother's marital conflict significantly influenced on school aged child-rearing stress. However mother's avoidance coping strategies with marital conflict on school aged child-rearing stress did not. (2) The interaction effects of mother's marital conflict and avoidance coping strategies with marital conflict on school aged child-rearing stress was observed.

This study examined the effects of mother's support and peer acceptance on children's domain specific self-esteem and the moderating effects of best friend's support. The subjects were 272 $4^{th}$ and 349 $8^{th}$ grader in Chin-ju. Data were analyzed by the SAS/PC+ program, including Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression and two-way ANOVA. Findings were that peer acceptance had a higher influence on academic-general self, peer-related self, physical-appearance self, personality self and physical-competence self than did mother's support. Mother's support had a higher influence on home self than did peer acceptance. Best friend's support and mother's support interacted with children's physical-appearance self and physical-competence self. Best friend's support and peer acceptance interacted with student's peer-related self.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the support consciousness of the son-in-law's towards their mother-in-laws and also to study their marital quality(marital satisfaction, spousal influence, spousal loyalty) based on the relation-satisfaction between mother-in-law and son-in-law. We selected 319 married men who had their mother-in-laws as participants of this study and their age groups ranged from the twenties to the sixties. The major findings of this study were as follows: (1) There were significant differences in marital quality and also in the son-in-law's relation-satisfaction with their mother-in-laws with respect to the two-income family, the number of children and the educational level. (2) Marital satisfaction, spousal influence and support consciousness towards mother-in-law affected positively the relation-satisfaction between the mother-in-laws and the son-in-laws.

The purpose of this study was to explore variables that influence mother-adolescent conflict. Independent variables were adolescent's physical maturation, mother's self-esteem, and mother-adolescent communication pattern. The results were as follows: First, the degree of mother-adolescent conflict perceived by adolescents was low in general, but high in homework and academic achievement. Second, no sex difference was found in the degree of mother-adolescent conflict. Third, the mother-adolescent conflict was not significantly related to both of adolescent's physical maturation and mother's self-esteem. However, mother-adolescent communication meaning that the more open the communication between mother and adolescent was, the less conflict was found between them.
