사출제품의 영상검사 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on the Vision Inspection System for Injection Molding Products)

  • If any of the set parameters such as the environment temperature, mold temperature are not maintained at a consistent level, the fail rate of injection molding products is increased. The price of the injection molding machine is very high, so in order to maximize the utilization of the machine that is required the production of a number of different products with minimum fail rate using a single machine. To prevent the defect products by an inspection process with perfect quality is very important to minimizing production of defect products in the molding process. Vision inspection systems are widely utilized in various manufacturing industries for quality assurance purposes. The vision inspection system consists of CCD camera and lighting system to capture the image of the subject of inspection, an image comparison algorithm using to determine the pass/fail of the products, and mechanical devices for the operation of the whole system. This research focuses on the development of the vision inspection system to process the inspection of an automobile parts. We developed a mechanical devices for the inspection of the injection molding products and an image comparison algorithm to determine the pass/fail result of the inspection based on the molding image and the accepted product image.

  • Injection molding has been widely used for the mass production of a plastic product. With the development of the relative technique, various injection molding techniques have been developed and we could get more precise plastic product. The temperature of a melting resin is an important factor in the injection molding and this temperature has direct influence on the quality of a plastic product. In the present injection molding machine, the deriation of a temperature controlled by PID control method is within 2$^{\circ}C$ in the injection molding machine but PID control method takes too much time to stabilize after preheating and its overshoot is so big. We applied fuzzy control to alleriate the problem. In this research, we experimented the fuzzy temperature control with the usage of PC based PLC.

  • The injection molding process is a one of the most efficient techniques for manufacturing plastic parts of complex shape at low cost. In injection molding, molten plastic material is injected into the mold and cooled. Selection of molding conditions greatly affects the quality of molded parts. In this case study, we attempted to optimize the injection molding condition for a cooling filter using Taguchi experimental design methodology. The injection molding experiments were carried out using the Moldflow simulation software.

  • Injection molding process is one of the most important methods to produce plastic parts with high efficiency and low cost. Today, injection molded parts have been increased dramatically the demand for high strength and quality applications. This report investigates that the optimum injection molding condition for minimum of shrinkage. Molding shrinkage is occurred by several reasons such as thermal shrinkage, a hardening process and compressibility. This report concentrate on shrinkage by a hardening process. As Change a holding pressure and holding time, checked deflections of X, Y, Z directions by shrinkage based on same condition. In conclusion, it was found that holding pressure is stronger and holding time is longer, the deflection by shrinkage is smaller because injection molding needs enough time for cooling and high density. The FEM Simulation CAE tool. Moldflow, is used for the analysis of injection molding process.

  • There occur not only many problems in the injection process but also low quality productivity due to the injection conditions of various injection factors. Injection molding process factors such as molding temperature, injection pressure, flow rate and flow velocity, must be controlled properly in filling and packing phases in the injection molding process. In this study, effects of these factors on the injection molding were investigated through the flow analysis for the holding pressure affecting cooling time. Results of this study would be helpful to setting of holding pressure for optimization of forming condition in order to reduce cooling time in injection molding.

압출성형을 이용한 플라스틱 방음벽 구조물 제작 연구 (Manufacturing of Plastic Noise Barrier Structure Using Extrusion Molding)

  • A plastic noise barrier is a structure installed to minimize noise, and it is composed of the main plate, sound-absorbing plate, and sound-absorbing material. Plastic noise barrier structures have several advantages compared to other products, such as light weight, anticorrosion, durability, easy assembly, rapid construction, and low costs. In this study, the main and sound-absorbing plates were manufactured through extrusion molding, and the sound-absorbing plate was finished with a press to improve the conventional injection molding. Extrusion molding dies and punch dies were designed, and a profile extrusion-molding system was developed. Thus, inexpensive and efficient sound-absorbing and main plates can be produced, and the noise barrier structure can be assembled rapidly. Additionally, a noise barrier structure with extended service life and excellent quality can be constructed by creating uniform free space to accommodate increased temperatures after assembly and installation.

  • The injection molding is used in more than 70% of total production of plastic products. Weld line in injection molded part is one of the defects in injection molding process. Weld line deteriorates not only appearance quality but also mechanical property. In this study, tensile strength about material such as ABS, PP, PA and PS was tested. as the results, the first result appears that weld's strength retention ratio's are 0.90, 0.84, 0.85, 0.76 and the second result apeears that weld depth decrease as processing temperature increased.

  • This study focuses on part quality and cycle times under gas-assisted injection molding(GIM) of housing molded parts. The position of the gas channel was estabished near to parting line at the end of last locations to fill. Applied hot runner and valve gates the gas was introduced directly into the mold cavity via gas pin. As GIM was applied the introduced directly into the mold cavity via gas pin. As GIM was applied the conclusion reached as follows. I) The quality of appearance was improved by reducing sink marks and scratches of texture ii) The realibility was improved by preventing warpages and reinforcing rigidity through optimum gas channel layout iii)It is enable to use small size of injection molding machine step by step as GIM was accomplished low pressure and reduced clamp forces against CIM iv)The productivity were improved by reducing cycle times.

  • Purpose: This article provides an efficient cushion molding method for improving reliability of the rotation driving system. Method: Allowable stress level for cushion is calculated by using physical characteristics of the rotation driving system. In addition, various test units are manufactured and used to conduct the rebound resilience, the burst pressure and the alternating load test. Results: Actual allowable stress level and test results of the rebound resilience, the burst pressure and the alternating load test are provided. Conclusion: The cushion manufactured by the compression molding method gives more preferable characteristics for improving the reliability of the rotation driving system.

자동차 연료튜브 홀더용 이중사출 금형·성형기술 (Development of double injection mold for fuel-tube holder)

  • Double injection molding process is very efficient molding-method for molding the products which is consist of multi-materials. Fuel-tube holder which is necessary for automobil power train and circulation systems is composed of plastic and rubber materials to minimize the vibration and pulsation noises. In existing process, fuel-tube holder was made by the insert molding process or assembly process after molding. If fuel-tube holder is manufactured by double injection molding process, it may be realize to improve the product quality, efficiency of molding-process and retrenchment of manufacturing cost. In this study, for manufacturing fuel-tube holder by double injection molding process, the analysis of joining characteristics between PA6(polyamide 6) and TPE(thermoplastic elastomer) was executed and the double injectin mold for molding fuel-tube holder with core toggle mechanism was fabricated. Finally, fuel-tube holder was molding using fabricated double injection mold.
