  • High technique growth of modem times and high industrial facility in consequence of buildings demand for electric power of an extensive scale with stability supply and maintenance of high quality. But, power system always have risk of network contingency. When power system break out disturbance, it circumstantially happen like uncontrolled loss of load developing from of cascading. Severely which would be raised wide area blackout, plan to prevent, which make stability through a little of load shedding and multi-level UnderVoltageLoadShdding should work. This paper presents target, sensitivity of bus voltage have choose appropriating load shedding location and load shedding decision making logic with considering rate of change of voltage have studied multi-level under voltage load shedding scheme. Calculation of rate of change of voltage applied method of least square. As a result, we are studied an dynamic analysis of 2008 summer peak data. We have been known that network analysis is a little development and developing UnderVoltageLoadShedding scheme.

  • The painting style has much influenced on the creativity of design in the developmental process of modern fashion. This fact tells that pure art and fashion design have the same purpose in the end. In this paper. the color Autonomy of Matisse was analyzed and how its result influences on modern fashion design was investigated. Matisse is, in fact. the leader of Fauvism and the painter who brought the Fauvism painting to its perfection in the purest state. Matisse achieved the revolution of new color with only the color in expressing formative factor. Matisse's color autonomy are fusion technique, flatness, decoration, simplicity, etc. To sum up the influence that this autonomy played on modern fashion design, intensive pure color expression, strongly-supplemented color effect among primary colors, decoration of color, simplicity of color, that is to say. he gave rise to the revolution of color, Many modern designers are applying this method to the theme of fashion and motive, color the technique of expression. Thanks to this. the new formative artistic expression could be adapted in fashion, and it also induced the inspiration of original design, with great contribution to bringing the era of its own distinct individualism in modern times.

Design of Efficient FEC for Bluetooth Baseband (블루투스 베이스밴드의 효율적인 FEC 설계)

  • Bluetooth baseband performs FEC (forward error check) at the interface of transmitter and receiver modem. Well-designed FEC means directly the efficiency of retransmission of the data payload therefore design optimization is very important. In this paper, we designed a optimal 1/3, 2/3 type of FEC. 1/3 FEC. which performs 3 times customary repetition was designed for packet header, and 2/3 FEC was designed for data packets with (15, 10) reduced hamming code. The proposed hardware FEC block was described and verified using Verilog HDL and later to be automatically synthesized. The synthesized FEC block operated at 40Mhz normal clock speed of the target baseband microcontroller.

  • Modem metal furniture design can be defined as the spirit of the times. It reflects the society we are living in; political and social issues, new technology and materials developed, structural solution and changes on the sense of value of a period. Therefore, the metal furniture design professionals must understand the flow of the society before designing or producing. Understanding the trends of a period is crucial for the metal furniture designers to develop the speciality. This study aims to offer the chance to understand and analyse the characteristics of contemporary metal furniture design and the cultural development. It gives the theories on the relationship between the environmental background and social factors that have influenced on the development of metal furniture design.

A Study of Audrey Hepburn Style Reflecting on the Fashion in the Late 20th Century (20세기 후반 패션에 나타난 Audrey Hepburn 스타일 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate and analysis the style of Audrey Hepburn(1929-1993), the most important style icon in the 1950s and '60s from the point of the style of dress in her films - Roman Holiday (1953), Sabrina (1954), Funny Face (1957) and Breakfast at Tiffany's (1966) and fashion activities, furthermore, to know the influence on the contemporary fashion. After 1960s, her style has been recreated by so many designers. In the 1980s, times influenced by post-modernism, there was also the effort to reconstruct the style in the 1950s again. At that time, some Hepburn styles-a reflective of the flamboyant and exaggerating trend in her ages-were appeared by a few designers in the 1980s. Over the 1990s' retro culture, there were a lot of efforts to reemerge the styles in the 1950 and '60s, they led to full-scale reconstruction of Hepburn style - a feeling of the elegance and intelligence harmonizing with the minimal and formal style. By the retro culture adding with the mainstream fashion trend of simpleness and comfort in the year 2000, Hepburn's casual style has been reconstructed to meet the modem need in the 21s1 century. Through these considerations, we could notice that Hepburn style has been recreating from various fashion fields harmonizing with the popular trend of the age.

A Study on the Formative Characteristics of Costumes in Dystopian Films (디스토피아 영화의상의 조형적 특성 연구)

  • Since modem times, civilization of scientific technology has rapidly expanded and resulted in many negative aspects. Dystopia is a skeptical future standpoint newly introduced by surging awareness of these negative aspects. The purpose of this study is to discover the common characteristics by studying costumes displayed in dystopian films which have critical view of the future. This study is made through the research of sundry records, thesis and capture images from DVD system. As a result of the study, the common formative characteristics of future costumes appearing in six dystopian films are classified into external characteristics and internal characteristics. First, external characteristics were analyzed according to the form, material and color. Second, internal characteristics of costumes appearing in dystopian films are categorized as the indeterminate expression, ex-typical expression and uniform expression. The above formative characteristics of dystopian future costumes can be described as the embodiment of meanings of influence from present and future cultural changes in terms of the characteristics of fashion.

  • This study is about the Characteristic of glass outer skin expressions in space designs of contemporary society, due to the rapid development of information and digital technology. These days, the glass outer skin show the various images and space expressions which symbolize the informations and the society. The contemporary space designers focus on the glass as the structure materials, and purposely use the glass to achieve the structure concept which satisfies the needs of contemporary society. Therefore, it is a valuable work to analyze the meaning of glass, which has been used for the structure. Throughout the work which has been experienced by glass outer skin, theoretical studies have been achieved and recently the 14 examples were chosen as the glass structures based on the experimental research and frequency featured in magazines after year 2000, which we have analyzed in detail. Glass outer skin reflect the phrases of time in modern society, and throughout the meaning of it, we could see that the glass outer skin serve the roles in informations, interface, imaginary modernization, and as a landmark position. Therefore, in this study, we can make a definition of glass outer skin expression based on the situations of modem times by analyzing the symbolic meaning of glass outer skin in contemporary space designs.

  • Museum Architecture, passing through modem times, have been requested to make changes in order to respond to the necessities of current times as well, so that they come to develop various kinds of programs other than a mere exhibition. That is, museum began recognizing the diversity of activities available in the spaces and the openness to the public. And tried to keep up with the changes by linking the museum buildings with local community in urban architecture as a result. Conversion design is methodology aims at reforming old buildings into a museum or revitalizing buildings of historical significance into exhibition center, so that it made possible to utilize the texts of historical, cultural cities, which in turn contribute to the diversity of urban architecture and protection of buildings in environmental crisis. In the sense, the paper analyzes the life-long contribution and dedication of Carlo Scarpa, an Italian architect, in the conversion of museum architecture, and studies the style, techniques, and features witnessed from his architectural works, and finally offers an insight and a directing post to take advantage of diverse ways likely applicable in our urban architectures. Scarpa's features in his museum architecture are classified as follows: First, contrasting expression of reiteration and side by side to express the continuity of time Second, he conveyed implicated meanings through inserting contracted factors of the locality and traditionality. Third, his interest in formative works and handicraft had an influence on shaping conversion space Finally, expression of accidentally to change of a point of view.

Performance of 8SQAM System in a Nonlinearly Amplified SCPC-FDMA Channel Interference Environment (비선형 증폭 SCPC-FDMA 채널 간섭 환경에서 8SQAM 시스템의 성능)

  • 8SQAM(8-state Superposed Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) being a new modem technique for use in power and bandwidth limited digital communication system generates output signals which have a mか and continuous phase transition and a reduced envelope fluctuation by keeping correlation between amplitudes and phases of two subsequent symbols. Also, 8SQAM signal is free of inter-symbol interference(ISI), and has a compact power spectrum. Accordingly 8SQAM, as compared with a conventional 8PSK, is influenced a little by inter-modulation(IM), inter-symbol interference(ISI) and adjacent channel interference(ACI) in a nonlinearly amplified multi-channel(SCPC-FDMA) environment. In this paper, the performance of 8SQAM system in a nonlinearly amplified multi-channel interference environment is analyzed via computer simulation The simulation result shows that 8SQAM outperforms 8PSK with roll-off value of $\alpha$ = 0.3 by 2.7dB in CNR to maintain BER=1$\times$10$^{-4}$ when input back-off(IBO) of HPA is 1dB and channel space is 41.7% of the data bit rate(i.e., spectral efficiency = 2.40b/s/Hz).

  • A new Modem technique - 8SQAM(8-state Superposed Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) - for use in power and bandwidth limited digital communication system is proposed. 8SQAM is free of inter-symbol interference(ISI) and generates output signals which have a smooth and continuous phase transition and a reduced envelope fluctuation by keeping correlation between amplitudes and phases of two subsequent symbols. Accordingly, 8SQAM, as compared with a conventional 8PSK, is influenced a little by ISI and inter-modulation(IM) caused by nonlinear distortions. In this paper, the performance of the 8SQAM system, in a nonlinearly amplified channel impaired by additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN), ISI and IM, is analyzed via computer simulation. The simulation result shows that 8SQAM outperforms 8PSK with roll-off value of $\alpha$=0.25 by 2.5dB in CNR to maintain BER=1$\times$10$^{-4}$ when input back-off(IBO) of HPA is 3dB.
