In this paper, Multi-layer EM wave absorbers using Sendust are presented. The bandwidth of the Multi-layer Sendust EM wave absorbers over 10 dB is extended in S-Band And we investigated the mixing effects of $Al(OH)_3$ on Multi-layer Sendust EM wave Absorbers. As a result, the Multi-layer Sendust EM wave absorbers mixed with $Al(OH)_3$ showed a extended bandwidth over 10 dB compared with non-mixed Multi-layer Sendust EM wave absorbers in S-Band.

The structure of organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs) with typical heterostructure consists of anode, hole injection layer, hole transport layer, light-emitting layer, electron transport layer, electron injection layer, and cathode. 4,4bis[N-(1-napthyl)-N-phenyl-amino]-biphenyl(NPB) used as a hole transport layer and 4'4-bis(2,2'-diphenyl vinyl)-1,1'-biphenyl(DPVBi) used as a blue light emitting layer were graded-mixed at selected ratio. Interface at heterojunction between the hole transport layer and the elecrtron transport layer restricts carrier's transfer. Mixing of the hole transport layer and the emitting layer reduces abrupt interface between the hole transport layer and the electron transport layer. The operating voltage of OLED devices with graded mixed-layer structure is 2.8 V at 1 $cd/m^2$ which is significantly lower than that of OLED device with typical heterostructure. The luminance of OLED devices with graded mixed-layer structure is 21,000 $cd/m^2$ , which is much higher than that of OLED device with typical heterostructure. This indicates that the graded mixed-layer enhances the movement of carriers by reducing the discontinuity of highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO) of the interface between hole transport layer and emitting layer.
Chemical admixture stabilization has been extensively used in both shallow and deep stabilization in order to improve inherent properties of the soil such as strength and deformation behavior. An increment in strength, a reduction in compressibility, an improvement of the swelling or squeezing characteristics and increasing the durability of soil are the main aims of the admixtures for soil stabilization. Recently, the various advanced cement stabilizer mixing technique was developed. Advanced cement stabilizer mixing technique is environmentally-friendly and has an excellent mixing property and outstanding mixing speed. In this study, to develop the rural road pavement technology using cement stabilizer, compaction and unconfined compression test were performed with various mixing ratio and two types of soil(clay and silty soil). And the freezing/thaw test and bending strength test performed to develop suitable cement stabilizer material for stabilization of rural road. Based on the test results, the liquid types of cement stabilizer material and silty soil mixture are most suitable for rural road construction and although the mixing ratio is low, cement stabilizer mixture is effective for durability of rural road surface layer.
In this study, to reinforce the surface layer of weathered soil slopes where erosion and collapse of surface layer occur, compression strength tests were conducted by mixing carbon fiber and eco-friendly stabilizer (E.S.B.) To determine the optimal mixing ratio of E.S.B. and carbon fiber, E.S.B. was set at conditions of 10%, 20%, and 30%, and carbon fiber at 0.3%, 0.6%, 0.9%, and 1.2%. Additionally, to analyze the changes in compressive strength according to dry density and curing period, 85% and 95% of the maximum dry unit weight were applied, and curing periods were set to 3 days, 7 days, and 28 days. The standard strength for surface layer reinforcement of slopes is proposed as 4 MPa at 7 days and 6 MPa at 28 days according to ACI 230.1R-09 (2009). The compression test results showed that the unconfined compressive strength of E.S.B. reinforced soil met the standard strength at an E.S.B. mixing ratio of 10% or more for 95% compaction. Moreover, when carbon fiber was mixed with E.S.B. reinforced soil, a ductile fracture pattern was observed after the yield point due to compressive strength, indicating that the mixture could compensate for post-yield failure. It was analyzed that the maximum strength is exhibited at a carbon fiber mixing ratio of 0.6%. The unconfined compressive strength of carbon fiber reinforced soil increases by approximately 54-70% compared to the condition without carbon fiber.

It was investigated that the condition of fishing ground gave what kind of effect school type in relation to the property for the target school after the vertical temperature profile and school type were observed when tuna purse seiner for tuna purse seine was operated in the western pacific Ocean around the equator between December 12, 1993 and January 26, 1994. The results are as follows;1. This study divided fish schools associated with drift objects, a one targeted-operation, and the pelagic migrating fish schools that are another one for the property. The total of 23 operations were complected including 6 that targeted fish schools associated with drift objects and 17 that targeted pelagic migrating fish schools. It was known that the main operation was conducted on pelagic migrating fish school.2. Average and standard deviation of the depth of the surface mixing layer was 86.0m and 13.8m for fish schools associated with drift objects. 61.6m and 13.0m for pelagic migrating fish schools, respectively. The average depth of the surface mixing layer of the pelagic migrating fish schools was lower when compared to the fish schools associated with drift objects however the concentration of standard deviation was higher than those fish schools associated with drifted objects. Accordingly, it was assumed that the effect of vertical temperature profile for pelagic migrating fish school was higher than the fish schools associated with drift objects.
This study was performed to research ozone concentration related to airmass thunderstorm using 12 years meteorological data(1990~2001) at Busan. The occurrence frequency of thunderstorm during 12 years was 156 days(annual mean 13days). The airmass thunderstorm frequency was 14 days, most of those occurrence at summertime(59%). In case August 4, 1996, increase of ozone concentration was simultaneous with the decrease of temperature and increase of relative humidity, In case July 23, 1997, ozone concentration of western site at Busan increased, while its of eastern site decreased as airmass thunderstorm occurred(about 1500LST). It is supposed that these ozone increases are the effect of ozone rich air that is brought down by cumulus downdrafts from height levels where the ozone mixing ratio is larger. Thunderstorms can cause downward transport of ozone from the reservoir layer in the upper troposphere into planeta교 boundary layer(PBL). This complex interaction of source and sink processes can result in large variability fer vertical and horizontal ozone distributions. Thus a variety of meteorological precesses can act to enhance vertical mixing between the earth's surface and the atmospheric in the manner described fer thunderstorm.
In this study, free vibration and damping behaviors of multilayered symmetric sandwich beams and single layered beams made of Functionally Graded Materials were investigated, experimentally and numerically. The beams were composed of Aluminum and Silicon Carbide powders and they were produced by powder metallurgy. Three beam models were used in the experiments. The first model was isotropic, homogeneous beams produced by using different mixing ratios. In the second model, the pure metal layers were taken in the middle of the beam and the weight fraction of the ceramic powder of each layer was increased towards to the surfaces of the beam in the thickness direction. In the third model, the pure metal layers were taken in the surfaces of the beam and the weight fraction of the ceramic powder of each layer was increased towards to middle of the beam. Then the vibration tests were performed. Consequently, the effects of stacking sequence and mixing ratio on the natural frequencies and damping responses of functionally graded beams were discussed from the results obtained. Furthermore, the results obtained from the tests were supported with a finite-element-based commercial program, and it was found to be in harmony.
Partial quenching structure of turbulent diffusion flames in a turbulent mixing layer is investigated by the method of flame hole dynamics to develope a prediction model for the turbulent lift off. The present study is specifically aimed to remedy the problem of the stiff transition of the conditioned partial burning probability across the crossover condition by adopting level-set method which describes propagating or retreating flame front with specified propagation speed. In light of the level-set simulations with two model problems for the propagation speed, the stabilizing conditions for a turbulent lifted flame are suggested. The flame hole dynamics combined with level-set method yields a temporally evolving turbulent extinction process and its partial quenching characteristics is compared with the results of the previous model employing the flame-hole random walk mapping. The probability to encounter reacting' state, conditioned with scalar dissipation rate, demonstrated that the conditional probability has a rather gradual transition across the crossover scalar dissipation rate in contrast to the stiff transition of resulted from the flame-hole random walk mapping and could be attributed to the finite response of the flame edge propagation.
Edge flames have been interested as a basic structure that is concerned to flame stabilization and re-ignition of non-premixed flames. The edge flame consists of a lean premixed flame, a rich premixed flame, and a diffusion flame. In order to investigate fundamental structures of the edge flames at the conditions near the flammability limits, edge flames were stabilized within a heated narrow channel. Highly diluted partially premixed methane was used, and the flow rates of air and the partially premixed mixture were controlled. Various flame behaviors, including a transition between ordinary edge flames and premixed flames, were observed. Flame stabilization characteristics were examined as well. All flame stabilization conditions in this study showed a similar trend: characteristic time scales were inversely proportional to the equivalence ratio defined at the burner inlet. Finally, an interesting flame structure having a weak diffusion branch enveloped by a closed premixed branch was found near the flammability limits even in a fuel-air mixing layer. This structure was named as a "flame-drop" and the importance of this structure was first suggested.

An alternative strategy to .educe the percolation threshold of carbon black (CB) in polymer blends was investigated using random copolymer ternary blends of polystyrene (PS), poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA), and a styrene-methyl methacrylate random copolymer (SMMA). The target morphology was to selectively locate CB particles in the encapsulating layer of SMMA during melt mixing. The CB used in this study is BP-2000 from Cabot and has a strong selective affinity to PS. Even when the CB was premixed with SMMA, it moves to the PS phase during the melt mixing. However, we also observed the CB particles located at the interface between SMMA and PS phases. Through this study it is found that the interaction between polymers and CB particles is critical for selectively localizing CB particles in multi-component polymer blends. Although appropriate processing condition may retard the movement of CB particles to the polymer phase with affinity, it cannot prevent it completely and locate them to the SMMA phase, which is not thermodynamically favored. To locate CB particles in an encapsulating layer of ternary polymer blends, first of all, polymers forming it should have selective affinity to CB.
