Effect of Singing - Focusing on the Love Changbu Taryeong

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the health and well-being of singing, an expression activity of language. There are also many studies in which singing activities have a positive effect on individual quality of life and social activities. Therefore, this study attempted to suggest that more effective singing is being performed by increasing empathy through various expressions of onomatopoeia and mimic words. Love Changbu Taryeong (愛倡夫打令) is Korea's traditional representative Gyeonggi folk song. It is a cheerful and lyrical folk song based on the five scale of Sol-ra-do-re-mi. It sings not only human joy, sorrow, and pleasure, but also natural phenomena and scenes. It is an exciting rhythm based mainly on the Gutgeori jangdan (rhythmic pattern, 12/8) but it is a rhythm that you can feel the sadness in it. In particular, various onomatopoeia and mimic words appear in this song, making you think about the fun of singing and the origin of the language. Therefore, this study attempted to examine that more effective singing is becoming more effective by increasing empathy through various expressions of onomatopoeia and mimic words. 3D Graphics Library for Generating Real-time Special Effects

  • In special effects industry there is a high demand to convincingly mimic the appearance and behavior of natural phenomena such as smoke, waterfall, rain, and fire. Particle systems are methods adequate for modeling fuzzy objects of natural phenomena. This paper presents particle system graphics library for generating special effects in video games and virtual reality applications. The library is a set of functions that allow c++ programs to simulate the dynamics of particles for special effects in interactive and non-interactive graphics applications, not for scientific simulation.

  • 본 논문에서, 우리는 보이스와 제스처 기능을 통해 모방이 삶에 끼치는 영향을 알 수 있다. 이러한 모방을 측정하기 위해 데이터를 수집하고 짧은(1초) 단어로 말하는 대화도중 얼마만큼 무의식적으로 모방을 하고 있는지에 대해 측정한다. 심지어 미래의 결과를 예측하는 기준으로 사용할 수 있다. 우리 연구의 주요 한계는 이용 가능한 인터뷰 데이터의 양은 제한적이다. 우리는 우리 그룹과 다른 연구자들이 큰 데이터 집합 및 다른 인구 통계에서 이 분석을 지속적으로 추구할 것을 기대한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand North Korean female defectors' survival strategies in China. In this research, 13 female defectors in China were interviewed. There seemed to be 6 survival strategies in the interview. They disguised themselves as if they were Chosunjok;they tried to wear fashionable clothes, to mimic Chosunjok dialect, to speak mingling Chinese words with Korean words, and to get counterfeit ID cards. They suppressed themselves from showing their angers or resentment against Chinese who looked down on them due to their illegal status, but they would seek chances to revenge on them in the future. They have survived by gelling married to Chinese, but they were reluctant to have a baby because it was not for sure what their future lives are going to be like. They were alert against people around them all the time, especially against North Korean defectors, and were conscious of their competitive relationship among themselves. Finally, some of them appeared to seek routes to immigrate to South Korea, but others who didn't yet make up their minds to immigrate to South Korea had vague anticipations of North and South Koreas to be reunified.

말하는 닭의 발성 특성 분석 (Vocal Analysis of Talking Rooster)

  • 예로부터 사람의 말을 흉내 낼 수 있는 동물들은 특별한 대우를 받고 있다. 이러한 동물은 앵무새를 비롯한 매우 극소수에 해당하며, 닭이 사람의 목소리를 내는 경우는 지금까지 알려진 바가 없다. 본 논문에서는 최근 화제가 된 한국과 키르기스스탄의 말하는 닭의 발성 특성을 살펴보고, 발음 통계와 실제 음원을 분석하였다. 분석결과 닭이 실제로 사람과 대화를 하는 것은 아니지만, 닭의 날개를 잡을 경우 "안돼," "아니야" 등의 한글 발음을 하는 것으로 확인하였으며, 키르기스스탄의 닭 역시 사람과 매우 유사한 발음을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 청음 설문조사 결과에서도 대부분의 사람이 닭이 말하는 단어를 인지하였으며, 닭이 내는 소리로 판단한사람은 없었다. 이처럼 닭이 사람의 발음을 할수 있는 이유는, 선천적인 발음기관과 발성시의 기질적 특정이 일반 닭과 현저히 다르며, 사람에게 붙잡힐 때 긴장에 따른 성대/발성 특성 변화때문으로 판단된다.

Generating Radiology Reports via Multi-feature Optimization Transformer

  • As an important research direction of the application of computer science in the medical field, the automatic generation technology of radiology report has attracted wide attention in the academic community. Because the proportion of normal regions in radiology images is much larger than that of abnormal regions, words describing diseases are often masked by other words, resulting in significant feature loss during the calculation process, which affects the quality of generated reports. In addition, the huge difference between visual features and semantic features causes traditional multi-modal fusion method to fail to generate long narrative structures consisting of multiple sentences, which are required for medical reports. To address these challenges, we propose a multi-feature optimization Transformer (MFOT) for generating radiology reports. In detail, a multi-dimensional mapping attention (MDMA) module is designed to encode the visual grid features from different dimensions to reduce the loss of primary features in the encoding process; a feature pre-fusion (FP) module is constructed to enhance the interaction ability between multi-modal features, so as to generate a reasonably structured radiology report; a detail enhanced attention (DEA) module is proposed to enhance the extraction and utilization of key features and reduce the loss of key features. In conclusion, we evaluate the performance of our proposed model against prevailing mainstream models by utilizing widely-recognized radiology report datasets, namely IU X-Ray and MIMIC-CXR. The experimental outcomes demonstrate that our model achieves SOTA performance on both datasets, compared with the base model, the average improvement of six key indicators is 19.9% and 18.0% respectively. These findings substantiate the efficacy of our model in the domain of automated radiology report generation.
