The present study invetigates the effects of root planing only(control group), DFDBA alone(test group 1) and combined use of DFDB and Dura mater(test group 2) in dehiscence defects in dogs. The results of 8weeks post-surgery by histological comparison between the three groups are as follows. 1. The contol group showed minimum regeneration of new cementum and new bone with limited migration of epitheilal cells, and healed by connective tissue attachment. 2. The test group 1 showed minimum regeneration of new cementum and new bone with limited migration of epitheilal cells, and healed by connective tissue attachment. 3. The test group 2 showed significant amount of the new cementum and new bone. 4. Both control and test groups healed without any observable root resorption and ankylosis. The above the results suggest that the use of resorbable Dura mater only does not improve the regeneration of new bone and periodontal ligament due to difficulties of space making, but the combined use with DFDB may be more effective.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate mean plantar foot pressure, maximum plantar pressure and ground reaction force, and center migration path of pressure according to the type of trekking shoes for the development of shoes. Method : Subjects of the study averaged $22.10{\pm}2.05years$ of age. Their average height was $169.27{\pm}7.62cm$ and their average weight was $64.34{\pm}10.22kg$. The method of this study was administered measuring 50 steps, at once, 3 times at a speed of 4 km/h and using the data of 30 steps. Pedar-X system measured the mean foot pressure, maximum foot pressure, mean maximum force, and center migration path of pressure by subjects' position while walking. Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS 23.0 using a paired t-test. Results : Results of the study showed Nestfit trekking shoes lower foot pressure of both feet in mean foot pressure and maximum foot pressure. Nestfit trekking shoes showed high ground reaction force (p<.001) in the midfoot, and low mean ground reaction force in the rearfoot. The center migration path of pressure showed the Nestfit trekking shoes were more stable than flat insole trekking shoes. Conclusion : It can be concluded that wearing Nestfit trekking shoes spreads pressure efficiently and induces walking stability because Nestfit trekking shoes spread the pressure of the forefoot and rearfoot to the midfoot and the center migration path of pressure shows regularly.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the cell viability and migration of Endosequence Bioceramic Root Canal Sealer (BC Sealer) compared to MTA Fillapex and AH Plus. Materials and Methods: BC Sealer, MTA Fillapex, and AH Plus were placed in contact with culture medium to obtain sealers extracts in dilution 1:1, 1:2 and 1:4. 3T3 cells were plated and exposed to the extracts. Cell viability and migration were assessed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazoyl)-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) and Scratch assay, respectively. Data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn's test (p < 0.05). Results: The MTT assay revealed greater cytotoxicity for AH Plus and MTA Fillapex at 1:1 dilution when compared to control (p < 0.05). At 1:2 and 1:4 dilutions, all sealers were similar to control (p > 0.05) and MTA Fillapex was more cytotoxic than BC Sealer (p < 0.05). Scratch assay demonstrated the continuous closure of the wound according to time. At 30 hours, the control group presented closure of the wound (p < 0.05). At 36 hours, only BC Sealer presented the closure when compared to AH Plus and MTA Fillapex (p < 0.05). At 42 hours, AH Plus and MTA Fillapex showed a wound healing (p > 0.05). Conclusions: All tested sealers demonstrated cell viability highlighting BC Sealer, which showed increased cell migration capacity suggesting that this sealer may achieve better tissue repair when compared to other tested sealers.
Background: Timosaponin AIII (TA3) is a steroidal saponin extracted from Anemarrhena asphodeloides. Here, we investigated the anticancer effects of TA3 in MG63 human osteosarcoma cells. TA3 attenuates migration and invasion of MG63 cells via regulations of two matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), MMP-2 and MMP-9, which are involved with cancer metastasis in various cancer cells. TA3 reduced enzymatic activities and transcriptional expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in MG63 cells. TA3 also inhibited Src, focal adhesion kinase, extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK1/2), c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), p38, ${\beta}-catenin$, and cAMP response element binding signaling, which regulate migration and invasion of cells. TA3 induced apoptosis of MG63 cells via regulations of caspase-3, caspase-7, and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). Then, we tested several ginsenosides to be used in combination with TA3 for the synergistic anticancer effects. We found that ginsenosides Rb1 and Rc have synergistic effects on TA3-induced apoptosis in MG63 cells. Methods: We investigated the anticancer effects of TA3 and synergistic effects of various ginseng saponins on TA3-induced apoptosis in MG63 cells. To test antimetastatic effects, we performed wound healing migration assay, Boyden chamber invasion assays, gelatin zymography assay, and Western blot analysis. Annexin V/PI staining apoptosis assay was performed to determine the apoptotic effect of TA3 and ginsenosides. Results: TA3 attenuated migration and invasion of MG63 cells and induced apoptosis of MG63 cells. Ginsenosides Rb1 and Rc showed the synergistic effects on TA3-induced apoptosis in MG63 cells. Conclusions: The results strongly suggest that the combination of TA3 and the two ginsenosides Rb1 and Rc may be a strong candidate for the effective antiosteosarcoma agent.
This experiment has been investigated in order to examine the effect of ivermectin and doramectin for laval migratory inhibition in rats. Anisakis spp larvae were obtained from the mackerels in fish market in Cheongju. A total of 225 rats were classified with 3 groups with the same number ($3{\times}75$ rats); group I was control divided into 3 subgroups including 25 rats in each one, others (test groups) were treated subcutaneously with ivermectin and doramectin by 3 kinds of concentrations ($200{\mu}g/kg$, 400, 800), respectively. At 15 minutes after treating, 10 larvae were taken orally into each rat of 6 subgroups in test, and 5 rats were necropsied at 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 8 hours after oral administration. The recovered larvae were used in larval migration inhibition (LMI). Ivermectin is significantly more effective than doramectin. In rats, the inhibitory effect of ivermectin and doramectin is slightly less than in vitro.

In this paper, we design a 1-kb OTP (Onetime programmable) memory IP in consideration of BCD process based EM (Electro-migration) and resistance variations of eFuse. We propose a method of precharging BL to VSS before activation of RWL (Read word-line) and an optimized design of read NMOS transistor to reduce read current through a non-programmed cell. Also, we propose a sensing margin test circuit with a variable pull-up load out of consideration for resistance variations of programmed eFuse. Peak current through the non-programmed eFuse is reduced from 728 ${\mu}A$ to 61 ${\mu}A$ when a simulation is done in the read mode. Furthermore, BL (Bit-line) sensing is possible even if sensed resistance of eFuse has fallen by about 9 $k{\Omega}$ in a wafer read test through a variable pull-up load resistance of BL S/A (Sense amplifier).
The ultimate goal of periodontal therapy is the regeneration of periodontal tissue which has been lost due to destructive periodontal disease, and numerous kinds of materials and techniques have been developed to achieve this goal. Bone grafts include autografts, allografts, xenografts and synthetic grafts. Among the synthetic grafts, bioactive glass has been used in dentistry for more than ten years and Fetner reported improved new bone formation and more amount of new attachment after grafting PerioGlas, a kind of bioactive glass, in 2-wall defects of monkeys in 1994. It Is well known that 1-wall defects have less osteogenic potential and more epithelial migration, so we need to study the erect of bioactive glass in 1-wall dejects in dogs. The present study evaluates the effect of bioactive glass on the epithelial migration, alveolar bone regeneration, cementum formation and gingival connective tissue attachment in intrabony detects of dogs. Four millimeter deep and four millimeter wide 1-wall defects were surgically cheated in the mesial aspects of premolars. The test group received bioactive glass with a flap procedure and the control underwent flap procedure only. Histologic analysis after 8 weeks of healing revealed the following results: 1. The height of gingival margin was 1.30{\pm}0.73mm$ above CEJ in the control and $1.40{\pm}0.78mm$ in the test group. There was no statistically significant difference between the two group. 2. The length of epithelial growth (the distance from CEJ to the apical end of JE) was $1.74{\pm}0.47mm$ in the control and $1.12{\pm}0.36mm$ in the test group. These was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.01). 3. The length of new cementum was $2.06{\pm}0.73mm$ in the control and $2.62{\pm}0.37mm$ in the test group. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups. 4. The length of new bone was $1.83{\pm}0.74mm$ in the control and $2.39{\pm}0.59mm$ in the test group. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups. These results suggest that the use of bioactive glass 1-wall intrabony defects has significant effect on the prevention of junctional epithelium migration, but doesn't have any significant effect on new bone and new cementum formation.
