초.중학교 실과(기술.가정)교과서의 가족관련 단원 내용 비교분석: 구조기능론과 건강가정 관점에서 (A Content Analysis of the Family-related Units of Elementary and Middle School Practical Arts.Home Economics Textbooks : From the Theoretical Perspective of Structural Functionalism and Healthy Family)

  • This research analyzed the contents of the elementary and middle school home economics textbooks within the 7th Curriculum from two theoretical Perspectives: structural functionalism and healthy family. A quantitative and in-depth content analysis was carried out with the five elements of family structure, family role, family relation, communication, dating and pregnancy. A healthy family Perspective was found in relation to the elements of family type and family role from the in-depth analysis of the elementary school practical arts textbook. In the middle school textbooks, the five elements reflected a strong structural-functionalist tendency. In both levels, the quantitative content analysis indicated that a structural-functionalist viewpoint was prevalent in the graphical components of the textbooks, including pictures, diagrams and graphs.

  • The subject of this study was the graph of relation of direct inverse proportion, linear function and quadratic function in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade of current middle school mathematics curriculum. GSP materials were developed to simplify the principle, trait and characteristics of graphs and make them easier to understand. The overall aim of the materials is to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning through the utilization of enhanced students' practice. Additionally, the use of the GSP will be useful in the development of mere effective materials. The effectiveness of the GSP materials will be as followings. 1. The step by step approach of GSP materials through computer interaction will enhance students motivation and interest in mathematics. 2. By presenting the subject matter simply and in a variety of ways, difficult concepts can be understood without the use of complex mathematical calculation. 3. The GSP program is different from CAI and other software programs. It should be used only after learning how to input and output data.

MBL 활용 수업이 중학교 학생들의 과학탐구능력과 그래프 작성 및 해석능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of MBL-Used Instruction on Scientific Inquiry Skill and Graph Construction and Interpreting Abilities of Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 7학년 "해수의 성분과 운동" 단원에서 MBL 실험 수업이 학생들의 과학탐구능력과 그래프 작성 및 해석능력에 미치는 효과를 알아본 연구로 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 6차시에 걸쳐 MBL 수업을 실시하고 사후 t-검정을 통해 학생들의 과학탐구능력에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다. 그 결과 실험집단과 통제집단 간 과학탐구 능력 결과에서 유의미한 차이가 나타나 MBL 수업이 학생들의 과학탐구능력 향상에 더 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 사후 t-검정을 통해 학생들의 그래프 작성 및 해석능력에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였다. 그 결과 실험집단과 통제집단 간에 그래프 작성능력에서는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 그래프 해석능력에서는 두 집단 간 유의미한 차이를 나타내고 있어 MBL을 활용한 수업이 학생들의 그래프 해석능력의 향상에 더 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

  • Let a graph G = (V, E) be a (p, q) graph. Define $${\rho}\;=\;\{\array{{\frac{p}{2}}&p\text{ is even}\\{\frac{p-1}{2}}\;&p\text{ is odd,}}$$ and M = {±1, ±2, ⋯ ± 𝜌} called the set of labels. Consider a mapping λ : V → M by assigning different labels in M to the different elements of V when p is even and different labels in M to p - 1 elements of V and repeating a label for the remaining one vertex when p is odd. The labeling as defined above is said to be a pair mean cordial labeling if for each edge uv of G, there exists a labeling $\frac{{\lambda}(u)+{\lambda}(v)}{2}$ if λ(u) + λ(v) is even and $\frac{{\lambda}(u)+{\lambda}(v)+1}{2}$ if λ(u) + λ(v) is odd such that ${\mid}\bar{\mathbb{S}}_{{\lambda}_1}-\bar{\mathbb{S}}_{{\lambda}^c_1}{\mid}{\leq}1$ where $\bar{\mathbb{S}}_{{\lambda}_1}$ and $\bar{\mathbb{S}}_{{\lambda}^c_1}$ respectively denote the number of edges labeled with 1 and the number of edges not labeled with 1. A graph G for which there exists a pair mean cordial labeling is called a pair mean cordial graph. In this paper, we investigate the pair mean cordial labeling of graphs which are obtained from path and cycle.

모바일 기반 수학 학습 어플리케이션 개발 및 활용 방안 (Development and Application of Mobile-Based Math Learning Application)

  • 본 연구에서는 학교 수학의 내용을 담아낸 모바일 기반 수학 학습 어플리케이션을 개발하고, 이를 수학 교수 학습 상황에서 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 먼저, 중학교 수학의 '이차함수와 그래프', '대푯값과 산포도' 단원에서 조작을 통한 개념 탐구와 토론 학습이 가능하도록 어플리케이션 <중3수학교실>을 안드로이드 버전으로 수학교육 전문가, 수학 교사, 컴퓨터공학 전문가, 디지털 애니메이션 감독과 협업하여 개발하였다. 이때, 예비교사의 도움을 받아 중학교 3학년 남녀 학생 4명을 대상으로 개발한 어플리케이션을 적용하여 그 활용가능성을 검증하였다. 또한, 수학 수업에 어플리케이션을 활용하는 교수 학습 지도안과 어플리케이션 활용 매뉴얼을 개발하고 중학교 3학년 1개 학급을 대상으로 사례 연구를 실시하여 그 현장 적용 가능성을 모색하였다.

중학생의 측정의 본성에 대한 견해에 따른 일상 및 과학적 맥락에서의 그래프 구성의 차이 (The Differences of Graph Construction of Middle School Students on Daily-life and Scientific Contexts by the Views on the Nature of Scientific Measurement)

  • 이 연구에서는 측정의 본성에 대한 견해에 따라 중학생이 구성한 일상 및 과학적 맥락의 그래프에서 나타나는 차이를 조사하였다. 중학교 3학년 학생 151명이 연구에 참여하였다. 일상 및 과학적 맥락만 다른 상황에서 비례, 반비례, 비례하게 증가하다 일정해지는 형태의 그래프를 구성할 수 있도록 유사한 측정값을 갖는 자료를 각각 제시한 후, 학생들이 구성한 그래프를 추세선 구성(추세선의 유형, 내·외삽), 축 변수 설정, 축 눈금 표기와 점 찍기 측면에서 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 집합 패러다임의 학생들은 반비례 그래프의 추세선을 곡선형으로, 점 패러다임의 학생들은 꺾은선형으로 구성하는 경향이 있었다. 내·외삽의 경우, 과학적 맥락의 그래프에서 집합 패러다임의 학생들은 점 패러다임의 학생들보다 내·외삽을 더 잘 수행하는 경향이 있었다. 이때 집합 패러다임의 학생들은 일상 및 과학적 맥락과 무관하게 내·외삽을 잘 수행하였으나 점 패러다임의 학생들은 일상적 맥락보다 과학적 맥락에서 내삽만 수행한 비율이 높았다. 축 변수 설정, 축 눈금 표기, 점 찍기 요소는 패러다임 유형에 따른 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 중학생의 그래프 구성 능력 함양을 위한 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

  • The purpose of the study were to analyze MathThematics textbooks and Korean middle school mathematics and to investigate the difference among the textbooks in the view of mathematical communication. According to the results, the textbook developers made a variety of efforts to develope students' mathematical communication ability. Students were encouraged to communicate with others about their mathematical ideas or problem solving processes in words or writing by means of discussion, oral report, presentation, journal, etc. MathThematics textbooks provided student self-assessment opportunity to improve student performance in problem solving, reasoning, and communication. In communication assessment, students can assess their use of mathematical vocabulary, notation, and symbols, the use of graphs, tables, models, diagrams and equation to solve problem and their presentation skills. The assessment activities would make a positive impact on the development of students' mathematical communication ability. MathThematics textbooks provided a variety of problem situation including history, science, sports, culture, art, and real world as a topic for communication, however, the researcher found that some of Korean textbooks depends heavily on mathematical problem situations.

Maple을 이용한 삼각함수의 이해 (Understanding of the trigonometric function using Maple)

  • Since the computer is becoming more and more indispensible tool in every fields of the modern society, it is needed and desirable to utilize the computer as a basic tool from the very early stage of the education process. Recently Maple is gaining its popularity as a comprehensive mathematical software with its power of symbolic calculations and graphics as well as its great numerical computational ability. We demonstrate the suitability of this software as a tool for the mathematical education and presents several examples of the applications of Maple. For the middle and the high school mathematics courses, we give the application examples for the quadratic functions and their graphs, statistics, the three dimensional shapes, algebraic problems. Through the examples, we confirm that mathematical education can be much more effective and simple by using Maple. If we establish computer-assisted mathematical classes, we can draw more attention and excitement from the attendants than traditional classes and eventually improve more rapidly their problem-solving ability On the other hand, the excess of the computer-aided education give to obstacle of psychological, not to be passing over the fact.

Understanding Automobile Roll Dynamics and Lateral Load Transfer Through Bond Graphs

  • It is clear that when an automobile negotiates a curve the lateral acceleration causes an increase in tire normal load for the wheels on the outside of the curve and a decrease in load for the inside wheels. However, just how the details of the suspension linkages and the parameters of the springs and shock absorbers affect the dynamics of the load transfer os not easily understood. One even encounters the false idea that since it is the compression and extension of the main suspension springs spring body role which largely determines the changes in normal load, of roll could be reduced, the load transfer would also be reduced. Using free body diagrams, one can explain quite clearly how the load is transferred for steady state cornering, and, using complex multibody models of particular vehicles one can simulate in good fidelity how load transfer occurs dynamically. Here we adopt a middle ground by using the concept of roll center and using a series of half-car bond graph models to point out main effects. Since bond graph junction structures automatically and consistently constrain geometric and force variables simultaneously, they can be used to point out hidden assumptions of other simplified vehicle models.

EVERY LINK IS A BOUNDARY OF A COMPLETE BIPARTITE GRAPH K2,n

  • A voltage assignment on a graph was used to enumerate all possible 2-cell embeddings of a graph onto surfaces. The boundary of the surface which is obtained from 0 voltage on every edges of a very special diagram of a complete bipartite graph $K_{m,n}$ is surprisingly the ($m,n$) torus link. In the present article, we prove that every link is the boundary of a complete bipartite multi-graph $K_{m,n}$ for which voltage assignments are either -1 or 1 and that every link is the boundary of a complete bipartite graph $K_{2,n}$ for which voltage assignments are either -1, 0 or 1 where edges in the diagram of graphs may be linked but not knotted.
