The mid-schedule planning of the ship is making a schedule about the process from cutting to erection. The ship consists of lots of blocks. This block has different process because of the shape of the block varies in accordance with the ship-type and the part position of the ship. The type and order of each block process initially must be generated for the mid-schedule planning. In this paper, the process planning, described as above is preparing the basic information before scheduler make a plan with the prepared manhour. The scheduling is done with this process planning which includes the information of the process order. This paper shows the research about three methods to design the process planning. First, investigate the expression method about information of the process planning for the mid-schedule planning in real workplace. Second, design the object of the process planning on the basis of investigating the expression method. Finally, develop the prototype of object on the basis of this designed process planning and then find the practical use in the mid-schedule planning. The object, which is developed in this paper, contains the main algorithm. In case of developing The Mid-Schedule Planning System, this object is expected to be utilized very easily as consisting another object.

PURPOSES : In this study, we analyzed the road crossing behavior of older pedestrians on a mid-block signalized crosswalk, and compared it to that of younger pedestrians. In addition, we analyzed the correlation between accidents involving older pedestrians while crossing roads and their behavioral characteristics. Finally, we confirmed the reasons for an increase in accidents involving older pedestrians. METHODS : First, 30 areas with the highest incidence of accidents involving older pedestrians while crossing roads were selected as target areas for analysis. Next, we measured the start-up delay (the time elapsed from the moment the signal turns green to the moment the pedestrian starts walking) and head movement (the number of head turns during crossing a road) of 900 (450 older and 450 younger) pedestrians. The next step was to conduct a survey and confirm the differences in judgment between older and younger pedestrians about approaching vehicles. Finally, we analyzed the correlation between the survey results and traffic accidents. RESULTS : The average start-up delay and head movement of the older pedestrians was 1.58 seconds and 3.15 times, respectively. A definite correlation was obtained between head movement and the frequency of pedestrian traffic accidents. The results of our survey indicate that 17.3% of the older pedestrians and 7.8% of the younger pedestrians have a high crash risk. CONCLUSIONS : Behavioral characteristics of older pedestrians were closely correlated with accidents involving older pedestrians while crossing roads in mid-block signalized crosswalks. Our study indicates that in order to reduce the number of accidents involving older pedestrians, it is necessary to develop an improvement plan including measures such as installation of safety facilities taking the behavioral characteristics of older pedestrians into consideration and their safety education.

Redundant arrays of independent disks (RAID) without a power-fail-safe component in small and mid-sized business suffers from intolerably long resynchronization time after a unclean power-failure. Data blocks and a parity block in a stripe must be updated in a consistent manner, however a data block may be updated but the corresponding parity block may not be updated when a power goes off. Such a partially modified stripe must be updated with a correct parity block. However, it is difficult to find which stripe is partially updated (inconsistent). The widely-used traditional parity resynchronization manner is a intolerably long process that scans the entire volume to find and fix inconsistent stripes. This paper presents a fast resynchronization scheme with a negligible overhead for small and mid-sized RAIDs. The proposed scheme is integrated into a software RAID driver in a Linux system. According to the performance evaluation, the proposed scheme shortens the resynchronization process from 200 minutes to 5 seconds with 2% overhead for normal I/Os.

This study tried to analyze traffic assignment volume by application of land use patterns and transport policies in District Unit Design. It is postulated a Toy network and various scenarios which are combined land use patterns and transport policies for analyzing change of assignment volume. As results, this study shows best District Unit Design technique is the policy that develop mid block and introduction of car free zone to inner 2 way streets. Worst design technique is the policy that introduction of joint car parking to mid block. And also worst design technique to residents who are living in inner block is the policy that just develop only one center zone.
In tendency of digitalization, we studied about the purpose of digital modem for MRI spectrometer and advantage of digital modem compared with analog one. We introduce requirements lot designing transmitter of high speed digital modem for MRl spectrometer We also introduce its top-level and mid-level architecture. The transmitter is composed of CPC-P interface block, DUC & DAC block, RF block, master clock generation block, MCU block. Especially, DUC and its control parts are studied in detail. DUC and DAC can operate up to 52MHz and 100Msps, respectively. However we uses 35MHz as master clock and this paper shows its validity through simulations.
The initiation of toppling is explored for a uniform stack of blocks that rotates slowly about its mid-base. As the stack passes through its vertical position ($\theta$=0), it is in free-fall rotation, and a critical inclination angle ${\theta}_c$ is reached at which the toppling stack "fails" or begins to crack or separate. For tall stacks (high aspect ratios), two modes of failure are hypothesized, for which the dynamic failure analyses are shown to correlate with experimental results. These block failure modes are similar to those observed for tall, toppling masonry structures with weak binding material between their brick or stone blocks.
The national standards for the installation of pedestrian crosswalks prohibits installation of crosswalks within 200 meters of nearby overpasses, underpasses, or crosswalks. In case the exceptional installation is required, the feasibility study is to be thoroughly conducted by the local police agency. However, it is an undeniable fact that the specific installation standards for optimal types and locations of crosswalks are not yet to be established. This paper examines the development of traffic accident prediction model applicable to different types and locations of bus stops(type A and type B) at mid-block intersections. Furthermore, it develops the poisson regression model which sets the "number of traffic accidents" and "traffic accident severity" as dependent variables, while using "traffic volumes", "pedestrian traffic volumes" and "the distance between crosswalks and bus stops" as independent variables. According to the traffic accident prediction model applicable to the type A bus stop location, the traffic accident severity increases relative to the number of traffic volumes, the number of pedestrian traffic volumes, and the distance between crosswalks and bus stops. In case of the type B bus stop model, the further the bus stop is from crosswalks, the number of traffic accidents decreases while it increases when traffic volumes and pedestrian traffic volumes increase. Therefore, it is reasonable to state that the bus stop design which minimizes the traffic accidents is the type C design, which is the one in combination of type A and type B, and the optimal distance is found to be 65 meters. In case of the type A design and the type B design, the optimal distances are found to be within range 60~70meters.

These days, geographic information system has released in everyday life and industries. However, the shipyard only uses it to manage the layout of the yard. In this study, we apply the Geographic Information System to shipbuilding block logistics simulation to analyse the behavior of bogies and forklifts carrying blocks and materials in the shipyard. The shipyard manages daily block logistics plans at the execution planning stage. However, since it is a daily plan, it is difficult to respond to an unexpected situation immediately, and application to judge a certain value or higher value is insufficient. Therefore, a simulation model was created using the shape and attribute information inherent in the geographic information system to verify and improve the block logistics of the mid-and long-term yards. Through this simulation model, we will analyse loads on the workplace, stockyard, and road, and contribute to overall logistics improvement from the point of view of resource planning. In addition, the results of the simulation are reflected in the planning, to help support various decisions.

The joint dispatch of regional electricity markets can improve the overall economic efficiency of interconnected markets by increasing the combined social welfare of the interconnected markets. This paper presents a new decentralized optimization technique based on Augmented Lagrangian Relaxation (ALR) to perform the joint dispatch of interconnected electricity markets. The Block Coordinate Descent (BCD) technique is applied to decompose the inseparable quadratic term of the augmented Lagrangian equation into individual market optimization problems. The Interior Point/Cutting Plane (IP/CP) method is used to update the Lagrangian multiplier in the decomposed market optimization problem. The numerical example is presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed decentralized method.

This paper deals with the procedures of effective mid-term Operation Planning establishment for painting shop in shipbuilding. and develop prototype system. In general, the block painting process consists of two stages such as blasting operation for surface preparation and painting operation for paint application for blocks. Weather condition is a potent Influence on those operations. The procedures consists of four steps, Load analysis, Generate alternative simulation plan. Implementation of Allocation automation module and Compare result of each simulation plan. Explain of each step. as follows, 1.step, Load analysis measure amount of assigned workload and manhour. 2.step, simulation scheme include alterable control variable such as overtime, weather. Auto allocating module carry out feasibility of simulation plan. 3.step, Allocation automation module are composed of three algorithms, as followings: - the block allocation algorithm that determines the number of blocks to be processed each day, - the team allocation algorithm that allocates blocks to worker groups. - the block arrangement algorithm that arrange blocks in blasting and painting cells. Since the block arrangement algorithm is conducted simultaneously with the team allocation algorithm, the total structure of the operating algorithms is considered to have two phases: first, daily load balancing with capacity limit and second, team allocation considering arrangement each day 4 step, Comparing result of each simulation plan. and select best simulation plan.
