다중객체추적 알고리즘을 활용한 드론 항공영상 기반 미시적 교통데이터 추출 (Microscopic Traffic Parameters Estimation from UAV Video Using Multiple Object Tracking of Deep Learning-based)

  • 4차 산업혁명의 도래와 함께 자율주행자동차의 주행관리 및 주행 전략과 관련된 연구들이 대두되고 있다. 이러한 연구를 위해서는 차량의 미시적 교통데이터의 확보가 필수적이나, 기존 교통정보 수집 방식은 개별차량의 주행행태를 수집할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 미시적 교통정보를 수집 가능한 항공에서 내려다보는 관점의 교통정보 수집을 위해 드론 항공영상을 활용하였다. 관련 연구의 한계점을 극복하기 위하여 딥러닝 기반 다중객체추적 알고리즘과 영상정합을 활용하여 미시적 교통데이터를 추출하였다. 그 결과로 속도는 MAE 3.49km/h, RMSE 4.43km/h, MAPE 5.18km/h의 오차율과 교통량 Precision 98.07%, Recall 97.86%의 정확도를 획득하였다.

알칼리와 고온노출에 의한 GFRP 보강근 손상에 대한 현미경분석 연구 (Optical Microscopic Image Analysis for Damaged GFRP Rebar by Alkali and High Temperature Exposures)

  • 본 연구에서는 고온에 노출된 GFRP 보강근과 고온에 노출된 후 알칼리용액에 노출된 보강근의 단면을 현미경을 통해 관찰하고 발생된 손상의 특징을 고찰하였다. 또한, 각 시험체에 발생한 레진 균열과 공극에 대한 정량적 분석을 실시하였다. 알칼리로 인한 손상은 주로 표면에 집중되며 레진균열과 작은 공극을 발생시키는 것으로 확인되었다. 고온노출에 의한 손상은 레진균열과 공극을 발생시키는 것은 알칼리와 동일하지만 전단면에서 발생하며, 공극의 크기가 훨씬 크다. 또한 정량분석 결과, 동일한 알칼리 용액 노출조건에도 불구하고, $200^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온에 노출된 시편에서 발견된 레진 균열과 공극이 고온노출이력이 전혀 없는 보강근에서 발견된 것 보다 1.5 및 1.4배 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 그러므로 동일한 알칼리 노출 조건이라 할지라도 $200^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온에 노출된 보강근은 고온노출이력이 없는 보강근에 비하여 레진의 열화가 가속화 될 가능성이 있음을 알 수 있다.

마이크로 금형 제작을 위한 PET의 엑시머 레이저 어블레이션 - 퓨리에 광학을 이용한 가공 단면 형상의 제어 - (The excimer laser ablation of PET for micro-mold insert - The control of cross sectional shape using Fourier optics -)

  • The manufacturing process for the microfluidic device can include sequential steps such as master fabrication, electroforming, and injection molding. The laser ablation, using masks, has been applied to the fabrication of channels in microfluidic devices. In this research, an excimer laser was used to engrave microscopic channels on the surface of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), which shows a high absorption ratio for an excimer laser beam with a wavelength of 248 m. When 50-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$-wide rectangular microscopic channels are ablated with a 500 ${\times}$ 500 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ square mask at a magnification ratio of 1/10, ditch-shaped defects were found in both corners. The measurement of laser beam intensity showed that a coherent image in the PET target caused such defects. Analysis based on the Fourier diffraction theory enabled the prediction of the coherent shape at the image surface as well as the diffraction beam shape between the mask and the image surface. It also showed that the diameter of the aperture had a dominant effect. The application of aperture with a diameter of less than 3 mm helped to eliminate such defects in the ablated rectangular microscopic channels on PET without such ditch-shaped defects.

저소성 세립분 함량이 카올리나이트-모래 혼합토의 공학적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Low-Plastic Fine Content on the Engineering Properties of Kaolinite-Sand Mixture)

  • 본 연구에서는 다양한 카올리나이트 혼합비에 따른 카올리나이트-모래 혼합토의 특성을 실험적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 기본물성실험과 다짐시험을 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였으며, 카올리나이트와 모래입자 간의 상호 구조를 더욱 자세히 분석하기 위하여 현미경 사진을 이용한 관측을 추가적으로 수행하였다. 실험결과, 카올리나이트 혼합비가 증가할수록 비표면적의 증가에 따른 함수비의 증가 및 모래입자와의 강한 결합구조를 형성하는 것으로 나타났으며, 최대 건조밀도는 감소하고 초기간극비는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 현미경 사진 분석 결과, 세립분 함량의 증가에 따라 모래의 특성이 지배적인 비율, 중간 비율, 세립분의 특성이 지배적인 비율을 확인할 수 있었으며, 세립분의 함량이 25-40% 정도인 경우에 입자간 상호작용이 잘 이루어지는 것을 관측할 수 있었다.

Reconstruction and Elimination of Optical Microscopic Background Using Surface Fitting Method

  • One serious problem among the troubles to identify objects in an optical microscopic image is contour background due to non-uniform light source and various transparency of samples. To solve this problem, this paper proposed an elimination method of the contour background and compensation technique as follows. First, Otsu's optimal thresholding method extracts pixels representing background. Second, bilinear interpolation finds non-deterministic background pixels among the sampled pixels. Third, the 2D cubic fitting method composes surface function from pivoted background pixels. Fourth, reconstruction procedure makes a contour image from the surface function. Finally, elimination procedure subtracts the approximated background from the original image. To prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, this algorithm is applied to the yeast Zygosaccharomyces rouxii and ammonia-oxidizing bacteria Acinetobacter sp. Labeling by this proposed method can remove some noise and is more exact than labeling by only Otsu's method. Futhermore, we show that it is more effective for the reduction of noise.

Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy in the Diagnosis of Biliary and Pancreatic Disorders: A Systematic Analysis

  • Background/Aims: Endoscopic visualization of the microscopic anatomy can facilitate the real-time diagnosis of pancreatobiliary disorders and provide guidance for treatment. This study aimed to review the technique, image classification, and diagnostic performance of confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE). Methods: We conducted a systematic review of CLE in pancreatic and biliary ducts of humans, and have provided a narrative of the technique, image classification, diagnostic performance, ongoing research, and limitations. Results: Probe-based CLE differentiates malignant from benign biliary strictures (sensitivity, ≥89%; specificity, ≥61%). Needle-based CLE differentiates mucinous from non-mucinous pancreatic cysts (sensitivity, 59%; specificity, ≥94%) and identifies dysplasia. Pancreatitis may develop in 2-7% of pancreatic cyst cases. Needle-based CLE has potential applications in adenocarcinoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and pancreatitis (chronic or autoimmune). Costs, catheter lifespan, endoscopist training, and interobserver variability are challenges for routine utilization. Conclusions: CLE reveals microscopic pancreatobiliary system anatomy with adequate specificity and sensitivity. Reducing costs and simplifying image interpretation will promote utilization by advanced endoscopists.

  • The chemotherapy sensitive Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) and chemotherapy resistant Lewis lung carcinoma (CR-LLC) tumors concurrently implanted in mice, and compare these findings with histological macroscopic observations against 3D reconstruction of Fluorescence Molecular Tomography (FMT) preformed in vivo on the same animals. For the 3D image reconstruction we used 32 laser source images, a flat image and 3D surface rendering that confused for 3D Fluorescence Molecular Imaging (FMI). A minimum of ten tissue sections were analyzed per tumor for quantification of the TUNEL-positive cells, cell-associated Cy5.5-Annexin and vessel-associated Alexa Fluor-Lectin. These are useful apoptosis and angiogenesis markers, and they serve as validation experiments to data obtained in vivousing a Cy5.5-Annexin V conjugate injected intravenously in chemotherapy-treated animals carrying the tumors studied histologically. We detected higher levels of apoptosis and corresponding higher levels of Cy5.5 fluorescence in the LLC vs. the CR-LLC tumors according to tissue depth and these findings confirm that in vivo staining with the Cy5.5-Annexing conjugate correlates well with in vitro TUNEL staining and is consistent with the higher apoptotic index expected from the LLC line. There appeared to be 1.38% more apoptosis for LLC than CR-LLC. Consequently there is good correlation between the histology results and in vivo fluorescence-mediated optical imaging. In conclusion the apoptotic images of 3D FMI were validated by microscopic histological image analysis. This is a significant result for the continuous progress of fluorescence 3D imaging research.

비젼시스템을 이용한 토양미생물 관측장비 개발 (Development of Observation Equipment for Soil Microorganisms Using Vision System)

  • Observation of microorganisms collected from contaminated soils has been mainly conducted by using microscopy. Microscopic measurement is occupied an important part of the microorganism experiment, and is used as an important tool to count microorganisms as well as to observe cellular form and mode of life in the field of soil microbe observation. In general, observation equipments for soil microbes consist of electron microscope, camera, frame grabber (image acquisition baud), and image analysis software. Because image analysis software should be linked with frame grabber most equipments have to be imported as the package form. Therefore, the observation system is very expensive and difficult to be operated. In this study, soil microbes' observation equipment with the vision system which is easy operated and cheaper than imported one was developed and tested. The efficiency of image capturing and data aquisition with developed frame grabber and software in this experiment was good enough to analyze the image of soil microorganism.

전자현미경내 마이크로 절삭의 화상처리에 의한 절삭 기구 해석 (Analysis of Cutting Mechanism by Image Processing on Micro-Cutting in SEM)

  • This research analyzes the cutting mechanism of A1100-H18 of commercially pure aluminum by image processing in SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope) for the measurement of strain rate distribution near a cutting edge in orthogonal micro-cutting. The distribution is measured using various methods in order. The methods are in-situ observations of cutting process in SEM, inputting image data, a computer image processing, calculating displacements by SSDA(Sequential Similarity Detection Algorithm) and calculating strain rates by FEM. The min results obtained are as follows: (1)It enables to measure a microscopic displacement near a cutting edge. (2) An application of this system to cutting process of various materials will help to make cutting mechanism clear.

  • The objects of the nature have three dimensional (3-D) parameters. The 3-D profiles are embedded on the photographs and microscopic images. To understand 3-D configuration, stereo pair image with thick section is frequently employed. The perception of 3-D images is possible with the aid of stereoscopic glasses, although the expert can perceive 3-D images without the glasses. Anaglyphic stereo images are constructed by various softwares from commercial and freeware. Here we would like to present an easy anaglyphs construction method with Adobe $Photoshop^{(R)}$ based on tilting paired images from high voltage electron microscope. The anaglyphic stereo images constructed revealed the same 3-D perception with conventional stereoscopy. We could zoom in/out the anaglyph image digitally to investigate the detail configuration by real time. This method is expected to contribute to understanding complex structures 3 dimensionally.
