A Study on the Accuracy Improvement Technique Using GPS Clock (GPS의 시각 응용에 따른 정밀도 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Both the accuracy and stability of the clock get from the GPS receiver are considered in the range of pps. And we verified the system clock stability of a micro-controller system using the pps pulse supplied by the GPS receiver. In complex system of digital processing, the rack of precise timing signal may cause the serious problem or breakdown accident. To get rid of these undesirable problems, we introduced VCXO circuit to a micro-controller system to preserve high accurate clock stability.

  • Sun power generation systems which use large capacity centralized inverters have loss of power generation due to cloud and building shadows, pollution, cell deterioration, etc. To minimize loss of power generation, decentralized solar power systems using multiple micro-inverters are being proposed as an alternative. A distributed solar power system consisting of a system-connected system uses power line communication to collect data from the micro-inverters. Power line communication has the advantage of using power lines without separate lines for data transmission, but in distributed solar power generation systems that use a large number of micro-inverters, the bit error rate is less reliable due to the phenomenon caused by limited transmission power, high load interference and noise, variable signal attenuation, and impedance characteristics. So we proposed wireless intelligent controller for micro-inverter that is used to build distributed solar power systems. and we design and implement that. Further, the proposed wireless intelligent controller for micro-inverter was used to establish a small-volume solar power plant to check its function and operation.

  • This study was carried out develope a motor power change speed device of motor by used micro- controller. This system was producted a auto-change speed device which switching frequency was 1,000MHz by used a auto- controller. It had a continuous output current such as 5A, 11A, 25A, 35A, 50A. It used a variable voltage from 9V to 18V(Maximum). We designed hardware of and software of micro-controller, we are made up of a auto cut-off function by 3.7V for detected power-loss prevention.

  • In this paper, we design and implement remote servo motor control system with real-time micro embedded operating system. The system, where controller and camera image grabber are mounted, handles control commands transmitted from a remote PC web browser. A hard real-time servo motor driver running on the real-time micro embedded OS and then a digital control application which confirms precise sampling time intervals is constructed. Frame grabber images transmitted from camera are saved in a image data format to view on remote PC web browser.

  • This paper describes the implementation of an autonomous fuzzy logic controller. The controller is endowed with basic control principles and learning constructs which enable it to autonomously modify its control policy based on system performance. The controller lies dormant when system response is satisfactory but if rapidly initiates adaptation in real time when adverse performance is observed. The autonomous fuzzy controller is implemented on an Intel MCS-51 series micro-controller board using an inexpensive 8-bit Intel 8031 processor. The 11.06 MHz micro-controller operates at a rate exceeding 200 "global" look-up table reinforcements per second. This is important when developing practical on-line adaptive controllers for fast systems. It is also significant because an initial controller look-up table could be incorrect or non-existent. The relatively high learning rate enables the controller to learn to control a system even while it is controlling it.

Operation Analysis of a Communication-Based DC Micro-Grid Using a Hardware Simulator

  • This paper describes the operation analysis results of a communication-based DC micro-grid using a hardware simulator developed in the lab. The developed hardware simulator is composed of distributed generation devices such as wind power, photovoltaic power and fuel cells, and energy storage devices such as super-capacitors and batteries. Whole system monitoring and control was implemented using a personal computer. The power management scheme was implemented in a main controller based on a TMS320F28335 chip. The main controller is connected with the local controller in each of the distributed generator and energy storage devices through the communication link based on a CAN or an IEC61850. The operation analysis results using the developed hardware simulator confirm the ability of the DC micro-grid to supply the electric power to end users.

  • For controlling micro-flows inside a LOC (lab-on-a-chip) a syringe pump or an electronic device for EOF(electro-osmotic flow) have been used in general. However, these devices are so large and heavy that they are burdensome in the development of a portable micro-TAS (total analysis system). In this study, a new flow control system employing pressure chambers, digital switches and speed controllers was developed. This system could effectively control the micro-scale flows inside a LOC without any mechanical actuators or electronic devices We also checked the feasibility of this new control system by applying it to a LOC of micro-mixer type. Performance tests show that the developed control system has very good performance. Because the flow rate in LOC is controlled easily by throttling the speed controller, the flows in complicate microchannels network can be also controlled precisely.

  • A coordination method for a macro/micro robot with separate controllers is proposed and evaluated. The macro/micro robot system generally has independent controllers for the macro and the micro robot respectively. A controller for the coordination of the macro and the micro robot has been designed based on the stable independent controller of each system. The method and trajectory generation method is also proposed to track the moving desired position rapidly. The control strategy has been implemented to the macro/micron robot system to evaluate the performance. The experimental results show that the proposed method for maintaining the micro robot within its workspace has uniform performance over the various range of the bandwidth and the proposed trajectory generator is shown to be efficient.

Control for Minimizing Power Consumption in Micro Disk Drives (마이크로 디스크 드라이브의 전력소모 최소화 제어)

  • Recently, the demand for micro hard disk drive that provides high-capacity removable storage for handhold electronic devices is growing very rapidly Reducing power consumption is one of the primary control objectives in micro disk drives. The input power delivered to the seek servo system is consumed as heat by the transistors of power amplifier and motor coil resistance. In this paper, we present a new seek servo controller for minimizing the power consumption. We use a Fourier decomposition and nonlinear programming to determine the optimum seek profile that minimizes the power consumption. Also, the trajectory tracking controller is developed for exact tracking of the optimum seek profile. Finally, we present some experimental results using a commercially available micro disk drive in order to demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed controller.

  • This paper is proposed cooling system of BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) by micro-controller. The output power of PV generation system is not systematically tracked and influenced by various factors; solar irradiance, solar cell temperature. The temperature of solar module should be minimized to increase electrical output. Therefore, it is proposed that micro-controller cools to decrease temperature of solar module using thermoelement. The validity of this paper is proved by comparing solar module temperature of cooling system and un-cooling system.
