Detection Property of Red Blood Cell-Magnetic Beads Using Micro Coil-Channel and GMR-SV Device

  • The micro device, coil, and channel for the biosensor integrated with the GMR-SV device based on the antiferromagnetic IrMn layer was fabricated by the light lithography process. When RBCs coupled with several magnetic beads with a diameter of $1{\mu}m$ passed on the micro channel, the movement of RBC + ${\mu}Beads$ is controlled by the electrical AC input signal. The RBC + ${\mu}Beads$ having a micro-magnetic field captured above the GMR-SV device is changed as the output signals for detection status. From these results, the GMR-SV device having the width magnitude of a few micron size can be applied as the biosensor for the analysis of a new magnetic property as the membrane's deformation of RBC coupled to magnetic beads.

  • This paper presents a macro/micro flip chip mounting head system for precise force control. In the proposed macro/ micro system, the macro actuator is conventional do servomotor with a ball screw mechanism and the micro actuator is a voice coil motor(VCM) that consists of four NdFeB magnets and a winded moving coil. For force control, a sensitive strain-gauge force sensor is mounted in the micro actuator.   • The voice coil actuator uses the Lorentz force between the magnetic field of the permanent magnets and the electromagnets to the motions and positioning. The small size, light weight and fast dynamic response of the these type actuators lead to admit them in the micro-positioning apparatus of the micro-machining systems. In this paper, the linear motion voice coil actuator is developed for the driving and positioning the rotating electrode of the electric discharge machine (EDM). The analyzed and measured results for the actuator are compared and discussed.

  • Micro-suing that used on micro mechanism should be equal to distance between pitch and correct of shape. Therefore, micro spring must make by super-precision working. But, current step of super-precision processing depends on special quality of work piece and is ineffective the aspect of cost and productivity yet. Also, to use as demandable length shearing process perform but even if make precision spring, in the aspect of quality of coil spring make difficult that produce product of good quality. Therefore, purpose of this study presented proposed process that extract the point of processing factor after perform finite element analysis applying existing sheet shearing process to suing shearing process consider cost and productivity after evaluate.

Intelligent Force Control of a Flip Chip Mounting System

  • In this paper, we have developed a new mounting head system for flip chip. The proposed head system consists of a macro/micro positioning actuator for stable force control. The macro actuator provides the system with a gross motion while the micro device yields fine tuned motion to reduce the harmful impact force that occurs between very small sized electronic parts and the surface of a PCB(printed circuit board). In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed macro/micro chip mounting system, we compared the proposed system with the conventional chip mounting head equipped with a macro actuator only. A series of experiments were executed under the mounting conditions such as various access velocities and PCB stiffness. As a result of this study, a satisfactory voice coil actuator as the micro actuator has been developed, and its performance meet well the specifications desired for the design of the chip mounting head system and show good correspondence between theoretical analysis and experimental results.

  • Recent issue of optical actuator is applying to mobile device. It leads actuator to become smaller than conventional type. This paper proposes the design of micro actuator plate spring and analysis of its vibration characteristic. Considering natural frequency of spindle motor, 1st and 2nd eigenfrequency of micro actuator must avoid its natural frequency. First, magnetic circuit is designed by using fine pattern coil and magnetic force is acquired by simulation program. Then, concept design is achieved by topology optimization. From concept design, micro actuator plate spring is embodied through DOE(design of experiment). Finally, considering vibration characteristic simultaneously, optimal plate spring design is determined by RSM(response surface method).

  • In this paper, we have developed an electro discharge machine for micro drilling driven by a voice coil actuator. Because the voltage signal of the electro-discharging circuit shows a lot of peaks and valleys, the active type low-pass filtering technique is adopted to get the average of the signal. Since the motion of the voice coil is precisely controlled by the error value between the object voltage value and the measured one, it is possible to prevent the mechanical contact between the rotating electrode and the workpiece and to maintain the appropriate machining conditions during the process. The electro-chemical machining technology was also adopted to make small diameter electrodes. Pure water is used as a dielectric. The machining procedure is performed to verify the feasibility of the developed system. It takes about 10 seconds to drill the ${\phi}m$100${\mu}m$ hole to the 100${\mu}m$ thickness stainless steel plate. The machining time depends on the values of the resister and the capacitor. There may exist the optimal values of time constant and the tendency is displayed In the appendix.

  • 전기도금 방법으로 유리기판 위에 제작한 코일과 영구자석을 이용하여 초소형발전기를 제작하였다. 여러 크기의 코일 구조를 설계한 마스크를 제작하고, 이를 이용하여 MEMS 코일을 제작하였다. 그 중 두께가 $7{\mu}m$ 선폭이 $20{\mu}m$ 길이가 1.6 m인 코일을 선택하여 실험하였다. 광학현미경과 SEM을 사용하여 제작된 코일의 구조를 분석하였다. 또한 모터의 회전운동을 진동운동과 유사한 선형운동으로 변환하는 진동발생시스템을 제작하였고, 자석과 코일을 진동발생장치에 설치하고 진동을 발생시키면 교류 전압이 발생한다. 0.5Hz에서 8Hz까지 진동주파수를 변화시켜 특성을 측정하였다. 발생된 전압은 3Hz에서 106mV가 발생하였고, 6Hz에서 198mV가 발생하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 쓸모없이 버려지는 진동에너지를 유용한 전기에너지로 변환하는 초소형발전기 소자를 제작하는 것이다.

  • This paper presents a design of macro-micro system for high-speed mounting of micro-chips. A macro motion device is driven by DC servomotor and ball screw mechanism. To obtain fast response, a micro motion device utilizes a precision elector magnetic actuator In order to reduce peak impact force, We evaluate the design parameters that have an effect on it. And a characteristic of response is simulated using PID controller in velocity and force control.

  • 광 리소그래피 공정을 이용하여 GMR-SV(Giant magnetoresistance-Spin valve) 다층박막 위에 마이크로 크기의 바이오센서용 소자와 코일-채널을 적층으로 각각 제작하였다. 직경 $1{\mu}m$ 크기인 여러 개의 자성비드가 결합된 적혈구가 마이크로 채널로 지나갈 때 코일에 인가하는 AC 신호로 정지 또는 통과하는 적혈구 움직임을 조절하였다. GMR-SV 소자 위에 포획된 적혈구-자성비드가 갖는 미세자기장은 자기저항비를 변화시켜 검출용 출력신호 특성으로 나타났다. 이것을 이용하여 자성비드를 결합한 적혈구의 막 변형에 따른 운동 특성을 분석하는 바이오센서로 활용할 수 있음을 보여주었다.
