Against the background of the rapid development of the Shanghai Metro network, this paper attempts to establish an analytical approach to evaluate the impact of multiple transport network accessibilities on commercial space use in metro station areas. Ten well-developed metro station areas in central Shanghai are selected as samples. Commercial space floor area and visitors in these areas are collected. Using ArcGIS and Spatial Design Network Analysis, the Shanghai Metro network and road network are modeled to compute diversified transport accessibilities. Evidence from land use and commercial space floor area within a 0-to-500-meter buffer zone of stations is consistent with location and land-use theory: commercial land use is concentrated closer to stations. Correlation analysis suggests that hourly visitors to the shopping mall are mainly influenced by metro network accessibility, while retail stores and restaurants are affected by both metro and pedestrian accessibility.

최근의 소프트웨어는 인터페이스에 대한 사용자의 직관적인 이해를 돕기 위해, 시각적으로 정보를 표현하는 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스(Graphical User Interface)를 사용한다. 잘 디자인된 인터페이스는 사용자에게 정보를 효율적으로 전달하나, 그렇지 않은 경우는 보기에 불편하고 난해하다. 시각적 정보가 효율적으로 사람에게 전달되기 위해서는, 사용자의 시각적 관심이 이미지의 중요한 영역에 있도록 해야 한다. 이 논문은 사람의 시각체계 내 탐색(visual search)를 고려하여 Metro-Style GUI를 시각적으로 향상시키는 방법을 소개한다. 이 방법은 Metro-Style GUI 버튼의 공간적 매핑과 색 매핑의 두 단계로 구성되어 있다. 또한 Metro-Style GUI의 효용성을 정의하고, 이를 최적화하는 알고리즘을 함께 제안한다. 결과에서는 우리의 방법을 적용하여 Metro-Style의 GUI를 시각적으로 향상시킨 예시를 제시한다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the formative beauty of metro sexual expressed on the 21C men's fashion. in 21C, metro sexual is being accepted as an object to lead the world consumption culture, and it is said to be most appropriate to the definition as a model that can determine the most modern men. Moreover, with well being life style, it shows characteristic that expresses chic sense through fashion. The results of the study were as below. 1. In recent men's wear, sensory feminine that looks young and trendy is being presented through clothes, rather than the image of men who are strong. Therefore, by wearing splendid flower print, bold color and gorgeous accessories, men send off their attractions. 2. The recent body king syndrome gave new aesthetic value on men's body. Therefore, men's body is becoming cultural icon of metro sexual as another face that shows social status and cultural taste. 3. The men's image of metro sexual that is felt from softer skin and hair than women, and well-built body is appealing more through body conscious look. Here, men's body silhouette is being sublimated aesthetically through design with various materials such as see-through and leather etc., and this is body conscious image that can be seen only in metro sexual. Like this, metro sexual fashion sense was expressed by feminine softness sometimes, and beautiful body silhouette sometimes by expressing one's sexiness enough, being away' from conceptual masculine. Therefore, the appearance of metro sexual can be understood that men's body exposure is becoming a social virtue that expresses beauty.

본 논문에서는 광대역통합국가망에서 ATM-Metro 서비스의 망 구조 및 서비스 제공 방식을 분석한다. ATM-Metro 서비스를 제공함에 있어서 존재하는 보안 취약점 및 보안 공격을 분석하며, 이를 기반으로 안전하게 ATM-Metro 서비스를 제공하기 위한 일반적인 보안 강화 방안을 제시하고, ATM 접속 방식과 이더넷 접속 방식의 ATM 구간에서 보안 기능을 강호하기 위한 보안 모델을 제시한다. 또한 ATM-Metro Ethernet 구간에서 기본적인 보안 기능을 제공할 수 있는 VLAN 적용 방안을 제시하고, ATM-Metro서비스 전구간에서 보안성을 강화할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

The purpose of this study were to establish the concrete function of Metro Healthy-Families-Center and to find out the function of evaluation for Healthy-Families-Center. For this study the data was collected from the 10 interviewees. The findings were: 1) the major functions of Metro Healthy-Families-Center are the connection between the Central and Basic Center of Healthy Families, support for the Basic Center. 2) the evaluation for Metro and Basic Center is referred as the function of Central Center of Healthy Families. 3) the evaluation-support function of Metro Healthy-Families Center is emphasized. To the further related studies the development of programs corresponding to the functions is suggested.

도시철도역은 많은 이들이 사용하는 공공장소이다. 철도역을 자주 이용하면 길을 찾거나 가는 곳에 어려움이 없지만 처음 방문하는 여행객이나 외국인들은 복잡한 사인과 정보 등의 오류로 인하여 어려움을 겪는다. 본 연구는 도시철도역의 안내 사인시스템의 효과적인 정보를 제공하기 위한 도시철도역의 안내사인에 대하여 알아보고 디자인 개선하고자 한다. 본 연구를 위한 1차 조사로 도시철도역 사인시스템의 개념과 문헌에 대하여 조사하고, 2차 조사로 도시철도역 이용자의 문제점 니즈조사, 3차 조사는 안내사인 개선을 위해 부산도시철도역의 문제점과 디자인 개선에 대하여 알아보았다. 조사결과 도시철도역의 안내 사인은 늘어나는 정보량과 체계적으로 갖추어지지 않는 사인 등으로 인하여 사용자는 정보를 찾는 데 어려움이 많다. 무분별한 상업광고의 사인으로 찾고자 하는 정보를 찾지 못하고 통일되지 않는 사인계획으로 인하여 잘못된 정보를 얻기가 쉽다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 상업광고의 자제와 알기 쉽게 정보를 전달하기 위한 디자인 그리고 사회적 약자를 위한 디자인 개선이 필요하다.

The Philippine government enacted the National Water Crisis Act in 1995, as a response to the burgeoning situation of water supply systems in the country. This act led to the privatization of Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), sector having jurisdiction and control over all waterworks and sewerage systems in a service area including Metro Manila. Nowadays, the region's supply of water is still facing a lot of difficulties, both in quality and quantity. The unabated migration of people to the metro which increases its population, tapping from the aged pipelines, lack of water facilities and infrastructure, excessive groundwater withdrawal, environmental degradation, and surface and groundwater pollution are some of the issues that Metro Manila have to deal with. These situations lead to two primary water supply issues suffered by Metro Manila: water shortage and flooding. The purpose of this paper was to present water supply in Metro Manila with respect to the problems in its distribution, environmental implications and quality. In this paper, several technical reports, published literature, and news articles were consulted and became the major basis for identifying gaps and suggesting remedial measures.

Earth fissures with several kilometers will inevitably approach or cross the metro line, significantly threatening the safety of the underground structure in the earth fissure site. However, the influence of the earth fissure site's amplification effect on the metro station's dynamic response is still unclear. A representative earth fissure in Xi'an was taken as an example to establish a numerical model of a metro station in the earth fissure site. The dynamic response characteristics of the metro stations at different distances from the earth fissure under various seismic waves were calculated. The results show that the existence of the earth fissure significantly amplifies the dynamic response of the nearby underground structures. The responses of the axial force, shear force, bending moment, normal stress, horizontal displacement, inter-story drift, and relative slip of the metro station were all amplified within a specific influence range. The amplification effect increases with the seismic wave intensity. The amplification effect caused by the earth fissure has relatively weak impacts on the axial shear, shear force, bending movement, normal stress, and horizontal movement; slightly larger impacts on the inter-story drift and acceleration; and a significant impact on the relative slip. The influence ranges of the axial force and normal stress are approximately 20 m. The influence ranges of the acceleration and inter-story drift can reach 30 m. Therefore, the seismic fortification level of the underground structure in the earth fissure site needs to be improved.

Large-capacity public transportation systems, represented by urban metro lines, are the key to alleviating the significant increase in urbanization and motorization in China. But to improve the agglomeration effect of metro stations in a more accurate and targeted way requires scientific evaluation and classification of the surrounding areas of metro stations. As spatial and functional design are the core factors for urban renewal design, this study took Beijing as an example, using multi-source data to evaluate the morphology and functional composition surrounding areas of metro stations, and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix was used to classify and characterize each type of surrounding areas from morphological-functional dimensions. It shows a negative correlation of the mix-use index with the floor area ratio, and only about 20% of the areas achieve the ideal situation of high construction intensity with high mix-use diversity. Hoping to provide a reference for city managers and designers in dealing with the surrounding metro stations with different construction intensities in a more precise way.

Purpose - The structure of retailing has changed as retailers develop markets in response to business environment changes. This study aims to analyze the general situation of retailers in order to predict future global strategy using case studies of overseas expansion strategy and the Metro Group's global strategy. Research design, data, and methodology - The backgrounds to the new retail business model and retailer classification are analyzed as theoretical data. In addition, the key success point of the Metro Group's "cash and carry" strategy is analyzed as is the Metro Group's global CFAR (collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment) strategy. Finally, the plan for cooperation and precise forecasting under the Metro Group's supply chain management are analyzed from the promotion environment viewpoint. Related materials analyzed included the 2012 annual report, the Metro Group's web page, and a video interview with the executive in charge of global strategy and the new market development department. Some data were revised to avoid disrupting essential aspects of the case studies. Results - The important finding was that the Metro Group could be a world-class retail company with its successful global expansion strategy. The Metro Group's global strategy's primary goal is to have a leading business position in Eastern and Western Europe. The "cash and carry" strategy is highest priority in its overseas expansion strategy. Moreover, the Metro Group has standardized product planning capacity, which could be applied in various countries with different structural and cultural backgrounds. This is the main reason that the Metro Group could rapidly become successful in the Eastern Europe and Asian markets through its structural overseas expansion strategies. In addition, the Metro Group emphasizes the importance of supply chain management. Conclusions - First, retailers should create additional value through utilizing the domestic market, market power, and economies of scale to launch a global strategy to maximize benefits from diversification. Second, the political, economic, and cultural background of the target country needs to be understood to successfully implement the overseas expansion strategy. Third, the main factor of successful cooperation with a local partner is how quickly the company gains total understanding of the business resources and core competence of its partner. All organizations should focus on the achievement of goals in order to successfully operate the partnership. Fourth, retailers should improve their business, financial and organizational structure. Moreover, the work processes and company culture should also be improved to respond strongly in the competitive global market. Fifth, the essential point of a successful retail business is the control capacity of its branding and format. The retailer could avoid forecasting errors through supply chain management by perfectly distributing the actual amount of its inventory. In addition, the risks along the supply chain are effectively shared between the supply chain partners. Finally, the central tendency of the market is to gain in strength with this taking place across all parts of the business.
