The Production of Methyl Trans-cinnamate in the Submerged Cultures of Tricholoma matsutake Mycelia

  • Methyl trans-cinnamate is a significant flavor compound of Tricholoma matsutake. Attempts were made to produce this compound by culturing the mycelium using submerged culture. No methyl trans-cinnamate could be detected when the mycelium was cultured in the basal liquid medium. However, the addition of Pinus desiflora extracts to the medium, methyl trans-cinnamate was largely produced. To find out compounds or fractions inducing methyl trans-cinnamate, dichloromethane fraction obtained from the wood extracts of P. densiflora was subjected to column chromatography. Three sub-fractions were obtained from the $CH_2CI_2$ fraction. Submerged cultured mycelium treated with sub-fraction 1 has the highest content of methyl trans-cinnamate. Maximum methyl trans-cinnamate $(470.2{\mu}g/g)$ was obtained when the first sub-fraction of dichloromethane fraction of the P. densiflora wood extracts was added to the medium. This indicates that wood extracts of P. densiflora contains inducer of the methyl trans-cinnamate production in the T. matsutake submerged culture.

  • 천연의 (S)-(+)-ABA 보다 우수한 생육저해 활성을 갖는 ABA 유도체를 개발하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 p-hydroxy methyl cinnamate와 umbelliferone을 (S)-(+)-2-cis, 4-trans-ABA에 ester 결합시켜서 ABA-methyl cinnamate ester(AC)와 ABA-umbelliferone ester(AU) 화합물을 각각 83%와 78%의 높은 수율로 얻었다. 이들의 벼 유묘 생육저해 활성은 (+)-ABA에 비해서 AC가 $3{\sim}10$배, AU가 $10{\sim}30$배 정도로 훨씬 더 강한 활성을 보였다.

Changes of Methyl trans-cinnamate Levels During Fruit-body Development in Tricholoma matsutake

  • The relationship between the contents of methyl trans-cinnamate and the ratio of DP/DS (diameter of pileus / diameter of stalk) in the fruit-body of Tricholoma matsutake during its development was investigated. The stages of development were divided as follows: stage A is less than 1, stage B is from 1 to less than 2, stage C is from 2 to less than 3, and stage D is more than 3 of the values of DP/DS. The contents of methyl trans-cinnamate in pileus and stalk of pine mushroom ranged from $77{\mu}g/g$ to $824{\mu}g/g$ and from $7.6{\mu}g/g$ to $22.4{\mu}g/g$, respectively during its development. In the part of pileus, there is no relevance of the methyl trans-cinnamate content of pine mushroom between the stage A and B, but there was significantly different among the stage of B, C and D. In the case of stalk, the relevance of the methyl trans-cinnamate content of pine mushroom between stage D and other stages showed a low difference. In addition, as pileus of pine mushroom developed the level of the aroma compound increased as well and showed higher correlation relationship ($r^2=0.877$) between the contents of methyl trans-cinnamate in the pileus and the ratio of DP/DS. From the results of this study, we can conclude that the aromatic component of pine mushroom can be deduced from the value of DP/DS, which indicates the stage of the development appearance.

한국산 바질(Ocimum basilicum L.)의 휘발성 성분 (Volatile Components of Basil(Ocimum basilicum L.) cultivated in Korea)

  • Theessential oils of anise darkopal lettuce and sweet basils cultivated in Korea were extracted by simulatneous steam distillation and extraction method and were analyzed by GC/MSD. Total 41 com-ponents were identified in essential oils including 11 alcohols, 6 carbonyls 19 hydrocarbons and 5 esters components. The major components were 1,8-cineole linalool $\alpha$-bergamotene $\beta$-elemene methyl chavicol, $\beta$-cubebene methyl cinnamate and eugenol. Darkopal lettuce and sweet basils were rich in linalool(30.1-36.5%) methyl chavicol(8.1-25.5%) and relatively poor in methyl cinnamate(0-2.71%) Anise basil was rich in linalool(28.5%) and methyl cinnamate(23.1%) However methyl chavicol which was known as one of the main components of bisil was not detected.

  • 송이(Tricholoma matsutake) 자실체의 메탄올(methanol, MeOH) 추출물로부터 4개의 화합물을 분리하였으며, 기기분석 결과 adenosine (9-𝛽-D-ribofuranosyladenine)을 비롯하여, methyl trans-cinnamate, ergosterol (ergosta-5, 7, 22-triene-3𝛽-ol) 및 ergosta-4, 6, 8 (14), 22-tetraen-3-one으로 각각 동정하였다.

  • 한국산 송이버섯의 생 것과 조리 중의 향기성분을 GC, GC-MS를 이용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 생 송이버섯의 향기성분 13종을 명확 동정하였다. 이들 중 1-octen-3-ol이 73.95% Methyl Cinnamate가 12.52% , 2-octanol 7.62% 및 octyl alcohol 2.78%로 전체의 향기성분 중에서 96.78%를 차지하였다. 2) 조리 중 송이버섯에서 향기성분 9종을 명확 동정하였으며 이들 중 1-octen-3-ol이 64.94%, Methyl cinnamate가 22.03%, 2-octenol 7.68% 및 Octyl alcohol이 22.03%로 전체의 향기성분 중에서 97.96%로 조성되었다. 3) 생 송이버섯과 조리 중의 송이버섯의 향기 성분은 대부분이 Alcohol류와 Carbonyl화합물이며 탄소수가 8개인 저급 화합물이었다.

Synthesis of Poly(cinnam-4'-yl methyl methacrylate) Derivatives and Their Thermal Stability as Photoalignment Layer

  • Photocyclizable poly(cinnam-4'-yl methyl methacrylate) derivatives bearing methoxy benzene (PMCMMA), anthracene (PACMMA), and coumarin (PCCMMA) have been synthesized via Heck type reaction. Three different types of polymers are photoreactable usin g linearly polarized UV light and applicable as liquid crystal alignment layer. Anthracence and coumarin containing polymers (PACMMA, PCCMMA) have better thermal stability than PMCMMA. This observation may be attributed to the glass transition temperature elevation due to the bulky size and another photocrosslinking site provided by anthracene or coumarin group.

알루미나 기재에 부착된 습도센서용 자기 가교형 감습성 전해질 고분자의 내수성 (Self-Curable Humidity-Sensitive Polyelectrolytes Attached to the Alumina Substrate for the Humidity Sensor and their Stability in Water)

  • 신나메이트기를 갖는 새로운 자기 경화형 감습성 고분자 및 고분자형 앵커제로 사용하기 위하여 [2-[(methacryloyloxy) ethyl]dimethyl]propyl ammonium bromide(MEPAB), methyl methacrylate(MMA), 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate(TMSPM) 및 2-(cinnamoyloxy)ethyl methacrylate(CEMA)의 공중합체들 을 합성하였다. 광가교성 공중합체들로서 MEPAB/MMA/TMSPM/CEMA=70/20/0/10의 조성을 갖는 공중합체는 감습성 전해질 고분자로서, 그리고 50/0/20/30과 0/0/50/50 조성은 고분자형 부착제로 사용하였다. 이들 광가교형 고분자 실란커플링 처리제의 전극 표면과 부착 특성을 비교하기 위하여 3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl cinnamate(TESPC)도 표면 부착을 위한 표면처리제로서 사용하였다. 표면처리제는 전극의 기재 표면 위에 공유결합을 통하여 광가교성 신나 메이트 박막을 형성시킬 수 있었으며 센서에 UV가 조사되었을 때 전해질 고분자가 [2$\pi$+2$\pi$] 환화반응을 이용한 가교반응으로 기재에 부착되었다. 이렇게 고분자 표면처리제 및 TESPC로 처리된 센서들은 24시간 물에 침적시켰을 때 60~85%의 저항 증가가 생겼으며 이것은 상대습도 변화로서 2.25~3.15%RH에 해당하였다. 또한, -0.2%RH 이하의 양호한 히스테리시스, 90초의 응답 및 회복속도, 그리고 80 $^{\circ}C$ 및 90%RH의 고온 고습에서 매우 좋은 신뢰성을 보여주었다.

Methyl Linoleate에 대한 Phenol성 물질의 항산화성과 산화 생성물 (Antioxidative Effectiveness and Oxidized Products in Mixture of Methyl Linoleate and Phenolic Compounds)

  • Phenol성 물질로서 hydroxyl기가 두개인 caffeic acid와 세개인 phloroglucinol을 methyl linoleate에 첨가하여 산화시키면서 활성화 효과와 산화생성물을 분석하였다. Methyl linoleate에 대한 $37^{\circ}C,\;3{\sim}9$일간의 산화반응에서 caffeic acid 및 phloroglucinol 첨가군은 ${\alpha}-tocopherol$ 첨가군에 비해 높은 항산화성을 나타내었다. 이 때 산화생성물로서는 methyl linoleate(ML)군은 methyl-8-(2-furyl)-octanoate, 9,13-trans, cis hydroperoxide isomer 9,13-trans, trans hydroperoxide isomer 및 9-TMSO-12, 13-epoxy-10-octadecenoate로 나타났으며, 기간이 경과함에 따라 9,13-trans, trans isomer에 대한 9,13-trans, cis isomer의 비율이 낮아졌다. Caffeic acid 첨가군(CML)에서는 methyl-8-(2-furyl)-octanoate, 9-trans, cis hydroperoxide isomer 및 9-trans, trans hydroperoxide isomer였으며, 13-hydroxy isomer는 검출되지 않았다. Caffeic acid의 농도를 높일수록 9-trans, trans isomer에 대한 9-trans, cis isomer의 비율이 높아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 이 때 가장 주된 산화물인 caffeic quinone이 생성되는 것으로 보아 caffeic acid와 같은 o-dihydroxy cinnamate들은 lipid media에서 산화가 쉽게 일어나는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 phloroglucinol 첨가군(PML)의 산화 생성물들은 methyl-8-(2-furyl)-octanoate, 9-trans, cis hydroperoxide isomer, 9-trans, trans hydroperoxide isomer 및 9-hydroxy-12,13-epoxy-10-octadecenoate로서 CML군과 유사한 경향을 보였으나 phloroglucinol은 반응 9일째에도 산화되지 않았다.

전자담배 액상 및 기체상 중 유해물질 고찰 (Review on Toxic Substances in the Liquid and Gas Phases of Electronic Cigarettes)

  • Objectives: Electronic cigarettes are battery powered devices that convert a nicotine-containing liquid into an inhalable vapor. The device aerosolizes nicotine so that it is readily entrained into the respiratory tract, from where it enters the bloodstream. Information on the safety of E-cigarettes is required. Methods: Seventeen articles on studies analyzing toxic substances in the liquid and gas phases of electronic cigarettes were reviewed. Results: Tobacco-specific nitrosamines, bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, known to be carcinogenic agents in humans or animals, were detected in the liquid and gas phases. In addition, diethyl phthalate, acetone, ethanol, cresol, xylene, propylene, styrene, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, pentaethylene glycol cis-3-hexen-1-ol, methyl cinnamate and undecane were identified in the liquid and gas phases of E-cigarettes. Propylene glycol, glycerin, 1-methoxy-2-propanol, 1-hydroxy-2- propanone, acetic acid, 1-menthone, 2,3-butanediol, menthol, carvone, maple lactone, benzyl alcohol, 2-methyl-2-pentanoic acid, ethyl mantel, ethyl cinnamate, myosamine, benzoic acid, 2,3-bipyridine, cotinine, hexadecanoic acid, and 1'1-oxybis-2-propanol were detected in the vapors of E-cigarettes. Conclusion: The hazardous compounds identified in the liquid and gas phases of E-cigarettes should be controlled for the lowest concentrations in the raw materials and production procedures.
