Since various methods to form well-aligned nano-/micro- patterns are underlying technologies to fabricate next generation wearable electronic devices, many efforts have been made to realize finer patterns in recent years. Among lots of patterning methods, the present invention includes a nano-transfer printing (n-TP) process which is advantageous in that a processing cost is low and high-resolution patterns can be formed within a short processing time. We successfully achieved pattern formation of highly ordered Pt lines with line-width of 250 nm, 500 nm, and $1{\mu}m$ on transparent and flexible substrates. In addition, we analyzed the durability of the patterns, showing excellent stability of line-shape even after a physical and repeated bending test of 500 times using a bending machine. As a result, it is expected that a n-TP process is very useful for forming various metal patterns, and it is also expected to be applied to wiring and interconnection technology of next generation flexible electronic devices.

The composites were fabricated 61[vol.%] ${\beta}$-SiC and 39[vol.%] $TiB_2$ powders with the liquid forming additives of 8, 12, 16[wt%] $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ as a sintering aid by pressureless annealing at 1650[$^{\circ}C$] for 4 hours. The present study investigated the influence of the content of $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ sintering additives on the microstructure, mechanical and electrical properties of the pressureless annealed SiC-$TiB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites. Reactions between SiC and transition metal $TiB_2$ were not observed in the microstructure and the phase analysis of the pressureless annealed SiC-$TiB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites. Phase analysis of SiC-$TiB_2$ composites by XRD revealed mostly of ${\alpha}$-SiC(6H), ${\beta}$-SiC(3C), $TiB_2$, and In Situ YAG($Al_2Y_3O_{12}$). The relative density of SiC-$TiB_2$ composites was lowered due to gaseous products of the result of reaction between SiC and $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$. There is another reason which pressureless annealed temperature 1650[$^{\circ}C$] is lower $300{\sim}450[^{\circ}C]$ than applied pressure sintering temperature $1950{\sim}2100[^{\circ}C]$. The relative density, the flexural strength, the Young's modulus and the Vicker's hardness showed the highest value of 82.29[%], 189.5[Mpa], 54.60[Gpa] and 2.84[Gpa] for SiC-$TiB_2$ composites added with 16[wt%] $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives at room temperature. Abnormal grain growth takes place during phase transformation from ${\beta}$-SiC into ${\alpha}$-SiC was correlated with In Situ YAG phase by reaction between $Al_2O_3$ and $Y_2O_3$ additive during sintering. The electrical resistivity showed the lowest value of 0.0117[${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$] for 16[wt%] $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives at 25[$^{\circ}C$]. The electrical resistivity was all negative temperature coefficient resistance (NTCR) in the temperature ranges from $25^{\circ}C$ to 700[$^{\circ}C$]. The resistance temperature coefficient of composite showed the lowest value of $-2.3{\times}10^{-3}[^{\circ}C]^{-1}$ for 16[wt%] additives in the temperature ranges from 25[$^{\circ}C$] to 100[$^{\circ}C$].
The Bongsang gold-silver deposit consists of quartz veins that fill along the fault Bone within Cretaceous andesitic lapilli tuff. Mineralization is occurred within fault-breccia zones and can be divided into two stages. Stage I which can be subdivided into early and late depositional stages is main ore mineralization and stage II is barren. Stage I began with deposition of wall-rock alteration minerals and base-metal sulfides, and was deposited by later native silver, Ag-bearing tetrahedrite, polybasite and base-metal sulfides such like pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and galena. Fluid inclusion data indicate that homogenization temperatures and salinities of stage I range from 137 to $336^{\circ}C$ and from 0.0 to 10.6 wt.% NaCl, respectively. It suggests that ore forming fluids were cooled and diluted with the mixing of meteoric water. Also, temperature and sulfur fugacity deduced mineral assemblages of late stage I are $<210^{\circ}C\;and\;<10^{-15.4}$ atm, respectively. Sulfur(3.4%o) isotope composition indicates that ore sulfur was mainly derived from a magmatic source as well as the host rocks. The calculated oxygen{2.9%o, 10.3%o(quartz: 7.9%o, 8.9%o, calcite: 2.9%o, 10.3%o)}, hydrogen(-75%o) and carbon(-7.0%o, -5.9%o) isotope compositions indicate that hydrothermal fluids may be meteoric origin with some degree of mixing of another meteoric water for paragenetic time.

To investigate the availability of solidified wastes as resource, wastewater sludge, waste gypsum and fly ash were mixed and the results with various mixing ratios are as follows. Compressive strength turned out to be increasing as the amount of waste gypsum increases, keeps longer curing inhibition, and higher forming Pressure under the conditions of waste gypsum/sludge ratio 0.31-0.45, and 0.9kg cement as 15% and 1.2kg cement as 20% of total amount. Solidified agent under the fly ash/sludge ratio 0.45, 0.6, compressive strength seemed to be higher than standard one which means solidified wastes with these conditions could be applicable in real life. These results inform that concentrations of the leachate $Cr^{+6}$, Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb solidified matrix, containing low concentration of heavy metal, were cured with/without enough time it still will cause adverse effect on nature environment and application of heavy metal sequester must be needed to reuse industrial wastes from incineration plant solidified matrix. Total cost price, when considering manufacturing capability of the facilities for resourcerizing as 18,000ton was presented 678,664,000 won, as it were, manufacturing cost price was 37,704 won per ton. The results as above has shown that it's possible to use the mixture of waste gypsum/sludge, fly ash/sludge, cement, additions, and solidification matter as substitute of materials like brick, block, interlocking which has proper compressive strength of KS L 5201 and KS F 4004.

Carbon nanotube (CNT) field effect transistors and sensors use CNT as a current channel, of which the resistance varies with the gate voltage or upon molecule adsorption. Since the performance of CNT devices depends very much on the CNT/metal contact resistance, the CNT/electrode contact must be stable and the contact resistance must be small. Depending on the geometry of CNT/electrode contact, it can be categorized into the end-contact, embedded-contact (top-contact), and side-contact (bottom-contact). Because of difficulties in the sample preparation, the end-contact CNT device is seldom practiced. The embedded-contact in which CNT is embedded inside the electrode is desirable due to its rigidness and the low contact resistance. Fabrication of this structure is complicated, however, because each CNT has to be located under a high-resolution microscope and then the electrode is patterned by electron beam lithography. The side-contact is done by depositing CNT electrophoretically or by precipitating on the patterned electrode. Although this contact is fragile and the contact resistance is relatively high, the side-contact by far has been widely practiced because of its simple fabrication process. Here we introduce a simple method to embed CNT inside the electrode while taking advantage of the bottom-contact process. The idea is to utilize a eutectic material as an electrode, which melts at low temperature so that CNT is not damaged while annealing to melt the electrode to embed CNT. The lowering of CNT/Au contact resistance upon annealing at mild temperature has been reported, but the electrode in these studies did not melt and CNT laid on the surface of electrode even after annealing. In our experiment, we used a eutectic Au/Al film that melts at 250$^{\circ}C$. After depositing CNT on the electrode made of an Au/Al thin film, we annealed the sample at 250$^{\circ}C$ in air to induce eutectic melting. As a result, Au-Al alloy grains formed, under which the CNT was embedded to produce a rigid and low resistance contact. The embedded CNT contact was as strong as to tolerate the ultrasonic agitation for 90 s and the current-voltage measurement indicated that the contact resistance was lowered by a factor of 4. By performing standard fabrication process on this CNT-deposited substrate to add another pair of electrodes bridged by CNT in perpendicular direction, we could fabricate a CNT cross junction. Finally, we could conclude that the eutectic alloy electrode is valid for CNT sensors by examine the detection of Au ion which is spontaneously reduced to CNT surface. The device sustatined strong washing process and maintained its detection ability.
One of resins, V-Flon is useful as a coating material because YK-D80, which is a solvent for V-Flon, is not highly volatile. However, it can not completely harden and can flow out when metal artifacts are joined and restored in the process of the treatment. Therefore, after the impregnation process in order to accelerate the hardening speed of a coating material, usually a dry oven was adopted. This study focused on finding the problems on the dry oven which is employed to increase the speed and investigating the most effective solvent and its composition by checking any change occurred depending on the concentration of solvents. Six different types of solvents were selected and samples were prepared in a manner that they were impregnated with solvents in three concentrations respectively (10%, 20%, 30%). To determine the condition of the samples, the stability evaluation was performed by measuring the change of color and the gloss, the thickness of coated layers, the corrosion after coating, the water resistance by contact angles. Through the comparative experiments between the natural drying and the artificial drying using a dry oven, it was found that when the dry oven is used, some problems are identified on the point of forming a uniform and stable layer because of the unstable data collected from the forced artificial dry. The experiments performed using 3 different concentration rates (10%, 20%, 30%) presented that in the case of 10% V-Flon in Xylene (using as a solvent), its layer was thin as well as it showed the high water-barrier property, which allows it to form the stably coated layer with the lower gloss and color change.
There are symbolicity and special meaning in the materials which are supposed to be used metalcraft from ancient to present. These are basical resources of hermeneutics and play a role as moaning elements. Generally, the precious Cold and Silver are mainly to be used with precious stone. But recently, ordinary materials like glass iron aluminum has begun to be used with them. Several artists are intentionally using them, and special skills which could be revealed by only the matherials are developing by them. In these skill, there are original material's texture and character of matter are looking like other matter. Well, special skills are adapted in these matters to magnify the possibility of expression, the originally codified meaning resources are disturbed. For example, The metal craft artist June Schwarcz is using the skills of electroforming, copper foiling, enameling, wire brush patina, fine wires fusing, etc. He is doing abstract forming and making various textures. And his works are very big size, and done by the skills of painting and sculpture. The outer form is very structural, special touches of the artists are heterogeneously mixed with the symbolic abstract expressionism color field. Further, there are mixed with Primitive original life atmosphere, Medieval ornamental aspect, Minimal, and Chaotic aspects. The meaning particles of these aspects are directly/indirectly joined but special skills and basic material languages are mixed together, the originally codified material language are disturbed. These disturbed material languages are becoming optically special effect and be illusion. It is making expressing way of tile metalcraft more fertile and be infinite.
In this study, we synthesized mesoporous carbon (Carbonized Ni-FDU-15) containing nanoporous structures and magnetic nanoparticles. Carbonized Ni-FDU-15 was synthesized via evaporation-induced self-assembly (EISA) and direct carbonization by using a triblock copolymer (F127) as a structure-directing agent, a resol precursor as a carbon-pore wall forming material, and nickel (II) nitrate as a metal ion source. The mesoporous carbon has a well-ordered two-dimensional hexagonal structure. Meanwhile, nickel (Ni) metal and nickel oxide (NiO) were produced in the magnetic nanoparticles in the pore wall. The size of the nanoparticles was about 37 nm. The surface area, pore size and pore volume of Carbonized Ni-FDU-15 were $558m^2g^{-1}$, $22.5{\AA}$ and $0.5cm^3g^{-1}$, respectively. Carbonized Ni-FDU-15 was found to move in the direction of magnetic force when magnetic force was externally applied. The magnetic nanoparticle-bearing mesoporous carbons are expected to have high applicability in a wide variety of applications such as adsorption/separation, magnetic storage media, ferrofluid, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and drug targeting, etc.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate exophytically vertical bone formation in rabbit calvaria by the concept of guided bone regeneration with a custom-made porous titanium membrane combined with bone graft materials. For this purpose, a total of 12 rabbits were used, and decorticated calvaria were created with round carbide bur to promote bleeding and blood clot formation in the wound area. Porous titanium membranes (0.5 mm in pore diameter, 10 mm in one side, 2 mm in inner height) were placed on the decorticated calvaria, fixed with metal pins and covered with full-thickness flap. Experimental group I was treated as titanium membrane only. Experimental group II, III, IV was treated as titanium membrane with BBM, titanium membrane with DFDB and titanium membrane with FDB. The animals were sacrificed at 8 and 12 weeks after surgery, and new bone formation was assessed by histomorphometric as well as statistical analysis. 1. Porous titanium membrane was biocompatable and capable of maintaining the regeneration space. 2. At 8 and 12 weeks, all groups demonstrated exophytic bone formation and there was a statistical significant difference among different groups only at 12 weeks. 3. The DFDB group revealed the most new bone formation compared to other groups (p<0.05). 4. At 12 weeks, DFDB and FDB groups showed the most significant resorption of graft materials (p<0.05). 5. The BBM was not resorbed at all until 12 weeks. 6. The fixation metal pin revealed excellent effect in peripheral sealing. On the basis of these findings, we conclude that a porous titanium membrane may be used as an augmentation membrane for guided bone regeneration, and DFDB as an effective bone forming graft material. The fixation of the membrane with pin will be helpful in GBR technique. However, further study is required to examine their efficacy in the intraoral experiments.
$Co_3O_4$, $Al_2O_3$ and $Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ mesoporous powders were prepared by a sol-gel method with starting matierals of aluminum isopropoxide and cobalt (II) nitrate. A P123 template is employed as an active organic additive for improving the specific surface area of the mixed oxide by forming surfactant micelles. A transition metal cobalt oxide supported on alumina with and without P123 was tested to find the most active and selective conditions as a heterogeneous catalyst in the reaction of styrene epoxidation. A bBlock copolymer-P123 template was added to the staring materials to control physical and chemical properties. The properties of $Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ powder with and without P123 were characterized using an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), a Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM), a Bruner-Emmertt-Teller (BET) surface analyzer, and $^{27}Al$ MAS NMR spectroscopy. Powders with and without P123 were compared in catalytic tests. The catalytic activity and selectivity were monitored by GC/MS, $^1H$, and $^{13}C$-NMR spectroscopy. The performance for the reaction of epoxidation of styrene was observed to be in the following order: [$Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ with P123-1173 K > $Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ with P123-973 K > $Co_3O_4$-973 K>$Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$-973 K > $Co_3O_4$/$Al_2O_3$ with P123-1473 K > $Al_2O_3$-973 K]. The existence of ${\gamma}$-alumina and the nature of the surface morphology are related to catalytic activity.
