In this paper a simulation was done to verify performance of a message transmission protocol which interfaces LDTS(Local Data Transmission System) with EIS(Electronic Interlocking System), After a stage of analyzing link specifications between LDTS and EIS, transmission messages and messaging formats, simulation parameters were extracted, applied to the error control schemes such as ARQ, FEC, HARQ, and therefrom throughputs and various performance indices were analyzed Simulation program was constructed with Matlab and Matlab GUI and then converted into a stand-alone c++ program to be used on any non-Matlab environments.

In this paper, I investigate the performances of the discovery and the message transmission of the DDS (Data Distribution Service) included the security function. The DDS serves the communication protocol, a publication- subscription method, for the real-time communication in the distributed system. The publication-subscription method is used in the various area in terms of defence, traffic and medical due to the strength such as a performance, scailability and availability. Nowadays, many communication standard has included and re-defined the security function to prepare from dramatically increased a threat of the security, the DDS also publishes the standard included the security function. But it had been not researched that the effect of increased a overhead for legacy systems due to the using of the security DDS function. The experimental results show that the comparative performance of legacy DDS and security DDS in terms of the discovery and the message transmission.
In this paper, we perform a research on a message delivery link based on visible light communication using illumination light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for car-to-car communications and the link transmission success probability is analyzed for the link. The message delivery system is modeled and the signal-to-noise ratio is calculated from the received optical power. Then, the link transmission probability is estimated from the calculated bit error rates (BERs). The message delivery system has optical links from an LED transmitter near the rear lamp of a car ahead to a receiver near the headlamp of a car behind, whose positions are assumed to follow the normal Gaussian distribution. The link transmission success probability is calculated considering the physical characteristics of the optical link. The car positions are generated according to the normal distribution and the bit error rates are calculated for all links. The link transmission success probability is defined. For the unoptimized optical car-to-car message delivery links, it is shown that the link transmission success probability is larger than 0.9 with the transmitted optical power of 400 mW and the semi-angle at half power of 30 degree.

This paper proposes a new MAC propocol for high-speed MAN. The proposed protocol is based on the P$_1$-persistent tranmission scheme and each node calculates the transmission probability periodically by using delay information(DI). A window mechanism for the calculation of message delay in each node is proposed to improve the adaptability of the proposed protocol to traffic changes. The capactiy of the proposed protocol is analyzed. The simulation results show that the proposed protocol gives fair message delay under heavy load conditions and, when the transmission speed or distance is increased, the message delay variation of the proposed protocol is less than that of IEEE 802.6 DQDB.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm to improve collision avoidance in Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) networks based on IEEE 802.11p. Since IEEE 802.11p adopts CSMA/CA as a multiple access scheme and an emergency warning message (EWM) is delivered to behind vehicles in a multi-hop manner, due to transmission collision, the more vehicles in the vehicle chain results in a longer delay. The longer delay increases the possibility of a rear-end collision. In order to ensure message reception with low latency, we consider implicit acknowledgement of a broadcasted EWM message and propose an algorithm to reduce redundant message transactions, called Two-Way Implicit Acknowledgement (TWIA). By simulations, we show that our proposed algorithm can reduce the latency until the last car receives the message by 9% and the success rate every car receives the message within 0.7sec by 12% at 100 fixed-number-of-car environment.

This paper proposes a k-disjoint-path routing algorithm that provides energy efficient and reliable message transmission in wireless sensor networks. The proposed algorithm sends messages through a single path without the occurrence of critical events. However, it sends through k disjoint paths(k>1) under the occurrence of critical events. The proposed algorithm detects the occurrence of critical events by monitoring changing data patterns, and calculates k from a well-defined fault model and the target-delivery ratio. Our simulations reveal that the proposed algorithm is more resilient to node failure than other routing algorithms, and it also decreases energy consumption and reduces the average delay much more than multi-path and path-repair algorithms.
In vehicular safety service, every vehicle broadcasts Basic Safety Message (BSM) periodically to inform neighbor vehicles of host vehicle information. However, this can cause network congestion in a region that is crowded with vehicles resulting in a reduction in the message delivery ratio and an increase in the end-to-end delay. Therefore, it could destabilize the vehicular safety service system. In this paper, in order to improve the congestion control and to consider the hidden node problem, we propose a congestion control scheme using entire network congestion level estimation combined with transmission power control, data rate control and time slot based transmission control algorithm. The performance of this scheme is evaluated using a Qualnet network simulator. The simulation result shows that our scheme mitigates network congestion in heavy traffic cases and enhances network capacity in light traffic cases, so that packet error rate is perfectly within 10% and entire network load level is maintained within 60~70%. Thus, it can be concluded that the proposed congestion control scheme has quite good performance.

In this paper, we propose the enhanced CSMA/CA MAC protocol fir mobile multi-hop wireless Ad-hoc networks. In the conventional wireless Ad-hoc network such as WLAN using CSMA/CA MAC protocol, communications between terminals that fn connected within multi-hop node may degrade the transmission efficiencies as increasing the multi-hop nodes because of RTS-CTS-DATA-ACK message exchange between terminals. In this raper, we apply the ACK/RTS control message into multi-hop transmission between terminals for wireless ad-hoc networks and improve the data traffic transmission efficiencies compared with conventional CSMA/CA MAC protocol used in WLAN.

Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) is an extension paradigm of moving vehicles to communicate with wireless transmission devices within a certain geographical limit without any fixed infrastructure. The vehicles have most important participation in this model is usually positioned quite dimly within the certain radio range. Fuzzy based multi-hop broadcast protocol is better than conventional message dissemination techniques in high-mobility VANETs, is proposed in this research work. Generally, in a transmission range the existing number of nodes is obstacle for rebroadcasting that can be improved by reducing number of intermediate forwarding points. The proposed protocol stresses on transmission of emergency message projection by utilization subset of surrounding nodes with consideration of three metrics: inter-vehicle distance, node density and signal strength. The proposed protocol is fuzzy MHB. The method assessment is accomplished in OMNeT++, SUMO and MATLAB environment to prove the efficiency of it.
