Research on consumer responses according to linguistic characteristics of fashion brand slogans (패션 브랜드 슬로건의 언어적 특성별 소비자 반응 연구)

  • In this study, it is explored how fashion brand slogans are categorized by linguistic characteristics and which linguistic characteristic is effective to improve consumer responses. Only 28% out of 1,346 fashion brands that are investigated are using slogans. Sportswear and men's wear are two product categories more often adopting slogans. A total of 11,113 consumers participated in the experimental study to evaluate slogan characteristics (familiarity, understandability, newness, pleasure), slogan attitude, and brand recall of 30 slogan-brand sets that were categorized by Park's 10 linguistic characteristics. In findings, slogans generating positive attitudes toward slogans and a good rate of brand recall tend to have no brand name in slogan, be written in the second-person view, include a futuristic message, and have information weighted on specialties. Slogan typology suggested based on results may be used for the future research as a basic guideline for the research on fashion brand slogans.

  • This paper presents the statistical analysis and the effects of the ionospheric scintillation to the satellite communication system. By receiving 1.694 GHz carrier wave of telemetry signal transmitted from Geostationary Meteorological Satellite (GMS-5) at both of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Bangkok. and Chiang Mai University, Thailand, in order to study the characteristics of Ionospheric scintillation in case of different geomagnetic latitude Position; the statistical analysis of S$_4$, fade duration. message reliability and fade rate can be obtained . Cooperative Decode-and-Forward Relaying for Secure Multicasting

  • In this paper, secure multicasting with the help of cooperative decode-and-forward relays is considered for the case in which a source securely sends a common message to multiple destinations in the presence of a single eavesdropper. We show that the secrecy rate maximization problem in the secure multicasting scenario under an overall power constraint can be solved using semidefinite programing with semidefinite relaxation and a bisection technique. Further, a suboptimal approach using zero-forcing beamforming and linear programming based power allocation is also proposed. Numerical results illustrate the secrecy rates achieved by the proposed schemes under secure multicasting scenarios.

  • 광선추적기법은 사진과 같은 고해상도의 영상을 만들어내는 렌더링 기법중의 하나이다. 이 기법은 이미지를 합성하는데 많은 양의 계산 시간을 필요로 한다. 병렬처리 기법이 광선추적에 계산양의 처리 기간을 감소하기 위하여 사용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 병렬 광선추적 기법을 MPI(Message Passing Interface)를 사용하여 IBM Supercomputer 상에서 노드의 개수의 증가에 따른 속도 향상과 노드간에 전달되는 메시지의 크기에 따른 성능 향상을 실험하였다. 본 논문에서 실험한 병렬 광선 추적 기법으로 IBM SP 시스템 상에서 다양한 영상을 생성하였다. 영상은 분할가능하고 노드에 분배할 수 있기 때문에 병렬화 범주에 들 수 있으며 부하균형을 맞출 수 있다. 실험에서 프로세서수의 증가에 따른 이상적인 속도향상률(Speed-up rate)을 15개의 프로세서를 사용하여 얻을 수 있었다. 광선을 추적하여 영상을 합성해 낼 때 표현하고자 하는 영상이 단순한 객체로 이루어져 있다면 각 노드에 분산해줘야 할 작업의 크기는 복잡한 객체들로 구성된 영상보다 클 때 더 놓은 성능을 나타내었다. 분산작업의 크기가 작아 상대적으로 통신횟수가 증가할 때 렌더링시 효율저하를 나타내었다.

MKIPS: MKI-based protocol steganography method in SRTP

  • This paper presents master key identifier based protocol steganography (MKIPS), a new approach toward creating a covert channel within the Secure Real-time Transfer Protocol, also known as SRTP. This can be achieved using the ability of the sender of Voice-over-Internet Protocol packets to select a master key from a pre-shared list of available cryptographic keys. This list is handed to the SRTP sender and receiver by an external key management protocol during session initiation. In this work, by intelligent utilization of the master key identifier field in the SRTP packet creation process, a covert channel is created. The proposed covert channel can reach a relatively high transfer rate, and its capacity may vary based on the underlying SRTP channel properties. In comparison to existing data embedding methods in SRTP, MKIPS can convey a secret message without adding to the traffic overhead of the channel and packet loss in the destination. Additionally, the proposed covert channel is as robust as its underlying user datagram protocol channel.

  • As the use of smartphones become more common, the communication via instant messenger becomes natural. However, it is important to secure the relevant information promptly since the chat room between participants can be used as a space for a criminal conspiracy, and crime-related contents can be stored and deleted easily on smartphones. Therefore, this study aims to identify the available data and to use it as proof by comparing and analyzing the instant messengers with high usage rate.

  • 널리 보급된 컴퓨터와 인터넷 그리고 모바일기기의 발달은 우리사회에 큰 변화를 주었다. 이는 이동성을 제공하면서 휴대 인터넷을 사용할 수 있는 서비스를 절실히 필요로 하게 되었고 그러한 요구에 부응하여 WiBro가 탄생하였다. 본 논문에서는 WiBro의 Downlink(DL)와 Uplink(UL)의 속도를 다양한 환경에서 현재 시판중인 WiBro 모뎀으로 성능을 평가해 보았고, 그 결과 WiBro에서 추구하는 DL:UL의 비율과 비슷하게 나옴을 확인하였다. 하지만 서비스 지역의 건물 내에서 WiBro의 서비스를 원활하게 받지 못하는 문제점을 발견하였고, 그 해결책으로 Fixed RS, Nomadic RS, 그리고 Mobile RS 3가지 방식을 제안하였다. 특히 건물의 경우는 Fixed RS(Relay Station)에서 Broadcast message 방식과 Wake-up 방식을 사용하도록 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, we have compared the performance of a D-TDMA protocol with that of a CDMA protocol, in radio access system for integrated voice/data services.The D-TDMA protocol is based on a generic dynamic channel assignment approach to be followed a combination of “circuit mode” reservation for voice calls, along with dynamic first-come-first served assignment of remaining capacity for data messages. In the CDMA protocol, we have used the voice activity detection to reduce the interface power of other mobiles in internal and external cells, and analyzed the interference power ratio. Also we have computed BER(Bit Error Rate) by using this interference power ratio and evaluated voice blocking probability(voice packet loss probability) and data transmission delay, according to average data length and average data arrival rate.We have found the CDMA protocol achieves comparatively higher performance for short data length, regardless of data arrival rate. Otherwise, the data transmission delay of D-TDMA protocol is shorter than that of the CDMA protocol for long data message.

  • This paper is concerned with automatic telemetering system which reads the consumed quantity of electricity, gas, and piped water. The existing metering method such that a meterman visits households and directly reads meters can cause several problems, including violation of privacy and the possibility of criminal accident, as well the inefficiency in viewpoint of system operation and rate notification. In this paper, we propose a new automatic telemetering and rate notification system, in which the system reads several meters at remote locations and notifies the rates to the customer's cellular phone with short message service(SMS). The proposed system has been developed by using CDMA mobile communication modules and personal computers. This system can operate only with cellular communication network even without wired-internet facilities. In particular, the developed system can provide home security and convenience as well as cost reduction, and thus be applied to intelligent home networks.

  • In Korea, various information related to COVID-19 has been provided to the public through an EAM (Emergency Alert Message) service using CBS (Cell Broadcast Service) technology to respond to COVID-19. In particular, local governments have been actively using the EAM service as a major means of responding to COVID-19. However, since excessive use of EAM service has caused the inconvenience of the people rather than the positive effects, the authority to be able to send EAMs has be limited. In this paper, with the purpose of providing primary data for establishing a plan to properly operate EAMs, we compare and analyze the number of EAMs issued and the incidence rate of COVID-19 cases during the period from 2020 to the present. In addition, the monthly EAM usage and incidence rate of COVID-19 cases are compared in detail and correlation analysis is performed for local governments that have issued many EAMs. We expect that the analysis results of this paper will be used as primary data in establishing strategies for EAM service to counteract the prolonged COVID-19.
