A 14-year old boy was admitted with stuporous mentality. CT scan, MRI and cerebral angiogram revealed SAH and a giant aneurysm of right middle cerebral artery($4{\times}5{\times}5.3cm$). To minimize surgical risk, endovascular treatment was done with MDS(mechanical detachable system)-spiral coil. Follow up MRI showed intraluminal thrombus formation of the aneurysm.

Periodic lateralized epileptiform discharges (PLEDs) had been debated whether it is ictal or non-ictal phenomenon. As most of PLEDs occur in patients with acute structural lesions, some epileptologists prefer PLEDS as a non-ictal phenomenon, rather an obscure epiphenomenon of etiological diseases. But, almost half of the patients with PLEDs do not have acute structural lesions in the brain and metabolic disorders or old CNS lesions may cause PLEDs and even more, no brain lesion was identified in some patients. There are many data supporting PLEDs as ictal phenomena. Occurrence of PLEDs usually accompanied by decreased mentality and is improved as PLEDs disappeared. Current SPECT study showed marked hyperperfusion in the lesion side of PLEDs, that is striking evidence of PLEDs as ictal phenomena. Also careful review of EEG with PLEDs revealed it is a dynamic process rather than a static state. Despite of these evidences, as PLEDs are an end-stage of animal status epilepticus models, it may be a transition of ictal to interictal state.

양심방 점액종은 세계적으로도 대단히 드문 질환의 하나로 우리 나라에서는 그간 2례 만이 발표되었다. 저자들은 점액종으로부터 떨어져 나간 색전으로 인한 것으로 여겨지는 뇌 경색증의 증상으로 혼미한 의식을 보였던 60세 남자 환자의 수술 증례를 보고하고자 한다. 저자들의 경우, 점액종은 난원공의 서로 다른 위치에서 생기어 각기 다른 심방 으로 자라 있었고, 심초음파 검사로 진단 직후 곧바로 응급수술을 시행하였다.

The simultaneous occurrence of an intracranial and a spinal subdural hematoma (SDH) is rare. We describe a case of cranial SDH with a simultaneous spinal SDH. An 82-year-old woman visited the emergency room because of drowsiness and not being able to walk 6 weeks after falling down. A neurological examination showed a drowsy mentality. Brain computed tomography showed bilateral chronic SDH with an acute component. The patient underwent an emergency burr-hole trephination and hematoma removal. She exhibited good recovery after the operation. On the fourth postoperative day, she complained of low-back pain radiating to both lower limbs, and subjective weakness of the lower limbs. Spine magnetic resonance imaging revealed a thoracolumbosacral SDH. A follow-up spinal magnetic resonance imaging study that was performed 16 days later showed a significant decrease in the size of the spinal SDH. We discuss the pathogenesis of this simultaneous occurrence of spinal and cranial SDH.

Intracranial hypotension syndrome typically occurs spontaneously or iatrogenically. It can be associated with headache, drowsy mentality and intracranial heamorrhage, Iatrogenic intracranial hypotension can occur due to dural pucture, trauma and spine surgery. Treatment may include conservative therapy and operation. We report a case of a 54-year-old man who was successfully treated with epidural blood patches for intracranial hypotension due to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage into the lumbosacral area after spine surgery.

Though children are imperfect and immature in themselves, they have their own merits and characteristics, so that they should not be appreciated by the adult's own viewpoints. The needs of a child are obviously different from those of an adolescent or an adult. Therfore we should understand their mentality and psychology in order to give desirable outdoor space to them. In this study, children's view of outdoor environment was studied by analyzing the painting of object elementary school students of one and the other urbanizations and schooling years and different schooling years also. The data were drawn from 182 children of two different urbanization levels. The urbanization level was standardized with urban area(Taegu), and rural area(Jukjang - myon). According to the research, more area of garden was exprssed In paintings of urban children. House was expressed vy far more frequently in paintings of rural childrin than in those of urban dwellers. The children of urban expressed recreation facilities more frequently within their garden. It reflected the limitation of play space for them, As a result, the preference fur outdoor 7pare of children should by considered in Planning space for them.

영화음악은 영화 속 등장인물의 심리상태를 나타내거나 암시하는 역할을 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 스티븐 달드리(Stephen Daldry)감독의 영화 "디 아워스"에 나오는 등장인물의 심리변화에 따라 음악이 변화하는 과정을 제시한다. 이것에 입각하여 심리상태에 따른 음악적 요소는 각각의 인물에게 나타나는 우울증상이 음악적 요소의 상징적 방법으로 구성 가능하다는 것을 입증한다.

A GDHS(Geothermal District Heating System) is a heating system supplying a group of districts with heat extracted from geothermal sources. Due to various advantages of GDHS including the saving of fuel consumption as well as the reduction of air pollution, a world-wide trend is to replace central/individual heating systems with GDH systems. The basic point of this paper is that a crash program mentality leads to inappropriate decisions about policy issues in large-scale research and development like the development of GDHS, R&D funding should be viewed as a sequential decision, not a once-and-for-all choice. Hence we develop on economic feasibility assessment model based on a continuous sequential decision process for the Chejoo Island GDHS Project by modifying Roberts's model.

We introduce a patient who was suffered from isolated traumatic bilateral oculomotor nerve palsy after head trauma. The patient presented with bilateral ptosis and abnormal pupilary responses with slightly drowsy mentality at first. Performed images demonstrated some hematomas along subarachnoid, intraventricular, subdural spaces and multiple small supratentorial contusions. There was no bony abnormality or ligament injury. We assumed that small amount of interpeduncular hematoma might be the proper lesion associated with oculomotor nerve palsies, since the clinical symptom and signs presented bilaterally and the oculomotor neural fascicles run through the interpeduncular fossa.

Objectives: We here do propose that cancer treatment moxibustion should be used both direct moxibustion and electro-moxibustion simultaneously. Methods: Electro-moxibustion is used in $38^{\circ}C$ low-heat level and it will help to raise parasympathetic and to bring stability of mentality. Direct moxibustion is used in rice size and will help to raise sympathetic and to induce visceral reflection and visceral motion. Results: Electro-moxibustion increased average body heat by $+2.51^{\circ}C$ and kept patients from suffering pains. Direct moxibustion increased average body heat by $+1.2^{\circ}C$ by meridian point-internal organs reflection. Conclusions: Both use of direct moxibustion and electro-moxibustion simultaneously will be superior to the only either direct moxibustion or electro-moxibustion for cancer treatment moxibustion.
