The Effect of Physical Environments in the Comprehensive Health Examination Center on Medical Service Value, Satisfaction and Switching Barrier (종합검진센터의 물리적 환경이 의료서비스가치와 만족도, 전환장벽에 미치는 영향)

  • This study presents strategic implications for enhancing the competitiveness of the comprehensive health examination center through the study of its impact on the switching barrier with medical service value and medical service satisfaction as parameters. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, a total of 324 questionnaires were analyzed for customers who received health examinations at the general examination center. Covariance structure analysis was performed to test hypotheses and causal relationships. The results showed that the physical environment had a significant effect on the medical service value and medical service satisfaction. The value of medical service also had a significant effect on medical service satisfaction. The value of medical service was found to affect the transition barrier, but the satisfaction of medical service did not affect the transition barrier. The implications of this study are that physical environment has a significant effect on medical service value and medical service satisfaction. Therefore, modern medical equipment should be equipped with the latest medical equipment to minimize accurate examination and misdiagnosis through modernization of medical examination center. In addition, since the value of medical service has a significant effect on the switching barrier, it is necessary to establish a plan to enhance the value of medical service. We need to promote sustainable customer retention and creation of new customers through differentiated screening items and cost advantages over competitors. In addition to check-up services, efforts should be made to enhance the value of services such as strengthening medical communication and medical complex cultural spaces, and at the same time, establish an organizational culture of customer-first examination centers through the placement of excellent personnel and continuous education.

Effect of Medical Service Quality in Nursing Hospital on Relationship Quality and Patient Loyalty (요양병원의 의료서비스 품질이 관계의 질 및 환자충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between medical service quality, relationship quality and patient loyalty in domestic nursing hospitals and the mediating effect between medical service quality and patient loyalty. A survey was conducted on 324 inpatients in nursing hospitals, and statistical analysis was conducted on the collected data through questionnaire survey. The following main results were derived. First, among the quality of medical services, the reputation of nursing facility equipment, nursing medical staff, nursing service system, and nursing facility was found to have a significant positive effect on the quality of the relationship, but medical expenses had no significant effect. Second, among the quality of the relationship, both trust and commitment were found to have a significant positive effect on patient loyalty. Third, among the quality of medical services, the reputation of nursing facility equipment, nursing medical staff, nursing service system, and nursing facility was found to have a significant positive effect on patient loyalty, but medical expenses had no significant effect. Fourth, it was found that nursing facility equipment, nursing medical staff, nursing service system, and reputation of nursing facilities, excluding nursing care expenses, all had a positive effect on patient loyalty through the quality of relationships between patients and hospitals.

Effects of Medical O2O Platform Quality Components on Continuous Use Intention to Information Distribution

  • Purpose: The digital healthcare business is rapidly growing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the medical service platform business based on smartphone apps is globally expanding. This study targeted medical information online to offline (O2O) platform users in the medical service field. It verified the effect relationship revealed in the continuous use intention of the platform with the mediation of platform quality components, namely perceived benefits, flow experience, and use satisfaction. Research design, data and methodology: Based on previous studies, three medical information O2O platform quality components, namely system quality, information quality, and service quality, were defined. And the questionnaire survey was carried out targeting 359 leading medical information O2O platform users in Korea. Results: As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that system quality and service quality had a positive (+) effect on satisfaction and continuous use intention with the mediation of perceived benefits and flow experience. Meanwhile, information quality had a negative effect (-) on perceived benefits and flow experience and did not affect use satisfaction and continuous use intention. Conclusions: Consequently, it was ascertained that the system quality and service quality affecting user behavior and experience were more significant factors than information quality to medical information O2O platform users from the medical service aspect.

  • Essential oils aims to rejuvenate and beautify medical skin care the body through the use of essential oils, and generally to improve our outward appearance. Clove, thyme, sandalwood, and lavender are a few of the essences that have antiseptic. Essential oils effect the dry skin for small visual pores, dull matte finish, rough sandy feeling, tantskin. Essential oils effect the mature/sun damaged skin for some red or couperose areas, loose saggy skin, exposure to a lot of ultraviolet light. Essential oils effect the medical care nomal skin good elasticity, healthy color(good circulation), smooth terture.

The Effect of Medical Service Quality and Hospital's Reputation on Customer Satisfaction, Repurchase Intention, and Negative Word of Mouth as to Disease Severity (질병의 중증도에 따른 의료서비스 품질과 병원의 명성이 고객만족과 재구매의도, 그리고 부정적 구전에 미치는 영향)

  • This model was empirically developed to test the effect of medical service quality and hospital's reputation on customer satisfaction, repurchase intention, and negative word of mouth as to disease severity. The model was tested in the context of the hospital industry. The findings are as follows. First, medical service provider's functional quality and technical service quality have significant effect on customer satisfaction. Second, hospital's reputation has positive(+) effect on customer satisfaction and significant negative effect on negative word of mouth. Third, customer satisfaction with medical service quality has significantly positive effect on customer's repurchase intention and has negative(-) effect on customer's negative word of mouth. Furthermore, customer's negative word of mouth has negative effect on their repurchase intention. Fourth, as to different disease severity, medical service quality and hospital's reputation have different effect on customer satisfaction, repurchase intention, and negative word of mouth. When patients get slightly ill, functional service quality and technical service quality have direct influence on customer satisfaction which has positive influence on repurchase intention and negative influence on negative word of mouth. Finally, negative word of mouth has negative effect on customer's repurchase intention. However, while hospital's reputation doesn't have effect on customer satisfaction, the reputation has significantly negative effect on negative word of mouth. When patients get seriously ill, only functional service quality has positive effect on customer satisfaction which influences on customer's repurchase intention and negatively influences on negative word of mouth. On the contrary, negative word of mouth doesn't influence on customer's repurchase intention as patients want to treat serious diseases in the large general hospitals even though negative word of mouth is known to them.

Study on the Effects of the Blood-activating and Stasis-dispelling Herbs based on Five tastes and Effect Terms (오미(五味)와 효능 용어를 활용한 활혈거어약(活血祛瘀藥)의 효능 고찰)

  • Objectives : In order to infer the effect of blood-activating and stasis-dispelling herbs by the analysis of effect terms which have extracted and refined, based on five tastes. Methods : I extracted the effect terms and five tastes of blood-activating and stasis-dispelling herbs written in Herbology. Extracted effect terms was divided into single meaning term and was refined as typical term. After that, I sorted herbs according to the five tastes and find the most highly mentioned effect terms. And I infered each herb's effects based on the relationship between five tastes and most highly mentioned terms. Results & Conclusions : I extracted 5 tastes and 53 effect terms and refined it as 43 effect terms. As the result of analyzing the effect term based the tastes, blood-activating and stasis-dispelling herbs are usually have blood-activating and pain-relieving. The herbs that have the hot taste, have the effect of moving-qi, stasis-breaking and aggregation-dispersing. And I supposed new effects of 5 kinds of herbs among them. The herbs that have the sweet tastes, have the effect of stasis-dispelling. And I supposed new effects of 2 kinds of herbs among them by analyzing the relationship between the tastes and effect terms.

Effects of Daehwanggamchoeumja and its component groups on diabetes, free radical and antioxidative defense system in Alloxan-induced diabetic rats (대황감초음자(大黃甘草飮子)와 그 구성약물군(構成藥物群)이 Alloxan 유도 당뇨(糖尿) 백서(白鼠)의 혈청 조성 및 항산화 효과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to reseach the effect of Daehwanggamchoeumja(大黃甘草飮子) and its component groups on diabetes, free radicals, and antioxidants system in Alloxan-induced diabetic rats. The experimental group was divided into three groups: Daehwanggamchoeumja(DG), and its components groups, Gamdutang (Gamcho&Daedu; DG-I) and Daehwanggamchotang(DG-2). The results were obtained as follows: 1. In the study of effect on diabetic metabolic dysfunction(Glucose, Triglyceride, Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, Total Protein, Albumin, Creatine, BUN), only DG has a significant effect. 2. In the study on free radical scavenging effect in vitro(the suppressing effect on peroxidation of linoleic acid on concentration, the scavenging effect of DPPH radical, inhibitory effect of superoxide in xanthine-xanthine oxidase system, inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation reaction by hydroxy radical in $H_2O_2Fe^{2-}$system, and the effect on Nitrate reductase activity), DG and DG-2 have more effect than DG-l relatively. 3. In the study on antioxidants system in vivo(The level of serum LPO, The level of hepatic LPO, Catalase, GSH, GST), only DG has a significant effect. These results suggest that Daehwanggamchoeumja(大黃甘草飮子) has an effect on diabetes, peroxidative damage by free radical, so it seems to be useful to prevent and treat diabetes. The mechanisms of these are supposed to be involved in antioxidant and three drugs' cooperative synergy effect.

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of quality of health care on perceived value, patient satisfaction and revisit intention. Especially, it was focused on outdoor environment, admission procedure, hospital image, service quality of physicians that patients perceived. For inpatients, hospital image and service quality of medical technicians have an effect on perceived value. Service quality of physicians has an effect on the patient satisfaction. For outpatients, hospital image and service quality of physicians and medical technicians have an effect on perceived value. Outdoor environment, hospital image, service quality of physicians and medical technicians, and perceived value have an effect on patient satisfaction. Perceived value and patient satisfaction have an effect on revisit intention. They should evaluate customer satisfaction on their services and analyze various factors that affect on it to improve specialty hospitals.

  • This research was performed to investigate the protective effect of Yangguksanwha-tang(YST) agaist ischemic damage in PC 12 cells. To elucidate the mechanism of the protective effect of YST on ischemic insult. cell viability and changes in activities of Superoxide dismutase. Glutathione Peroxidase. Catalase. capase 3 and the production of Malondialdehyde were observed after treating PC12 cells with YSt which was metabolized by rat liver homogenate. (omitted)
