Factors governing the rate of heat exchange comprise temperature, air velocity, relative humidity, and relation indoors. Recently, there are many researches on the transient analysis of indoor environmental factors such as dry bulb temperature, relative humidity and air velocity in miniature models. The purpose of this study is to measure the environmental factors and to analyze and evaluate the characteristics of indoor environment in different envelop structures using granite dome models. The interior relative humidity is constant regardless of exterior humidity although a little range of variation is shown in comparison to the cement model.
Statistical analysis between sewage plant operating parameters and the effluent quality was performed. We extracted two factors from principal component analysis of operating parameters and effluent quality from each plant. The total variance of 84.7%, 79.2% was explained by the two factors at SB plant and SC plant, respectively. The factors were identified at SB plant in the following order 1) the oxidation of organic material by aeration basin microbe,2) biomass in aeration basin and at SC plant 1) the oxidation of organic material by aeration basin microbe, 2) thickening of acti-vated sludge. These results suggested that the control of microbial composition might be critical on the improvement of the effluent quality and plant operating efficiency because most of the factors were related with microbes.

In this paper, we have investigated the effects of the environmental factors on Low Molecular Weight (LMW) silicone fluid contents existing in high temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber sample, using dipping method and contact angle, current measurement. Artificial treatments such as immersion in water, elevated temperature, UV irradiation and dry band arcing under salt-fog condition are selected as the environmental factors. This results will be helpful to investigate the degradation with time and to expect a life time, because the LMW silicone content, which is important to recovery the hydrophobicity of silicone rubber surface, show different results by each environmental factors.
One of many factors that influences the profit of an enterprise is the amount of the stock in an enterprise. When the stock amounts are optimal the economic burden of the enterprise decreases which in turn results in the optimum number of employment and spatial utilization of storages. The purpose of this study is the simulation modeling of a material stock control system using DEVS models in order to get the most suitable stock amounts. The stock within an enterprise is built by the orders from outside world. The effect on the stock by the factors such as order, delivery, and production components has been analyzed based on simulation results.

a crack with electrically impermeable surfaces in an electrostrictive material subjected to uniform electric loading is analysed. A strip yield zone model is employed to investigate the effect of electric yielding on stress intensity factor. complete forms of electric fields and elastic fields for the crack are derived by using complex function theory. /the stress intensity factors are obtained based on the strip yield zone model.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is main factors (environmental conditions, pattern spacing, pattern material) that effect the ion-migration of PCB. Methods: Recently, the electronic components are becoming more high density of electronic device, so that electronic circuits have smaller pitches between the patten and more vulnerable to insulation failure. so the reliability of electric insulation of device has become an ever important issue as device contact pitches of pattern. Usually, ion-migration occurs in high temperature and high humidity environment as voltage is applied to the circuit. Under high temperature and high humidity, voltage applied electronic components respond to applied voltages by metals's electrochemical ionization and a conducting filament forms between the anode and cathode across a nonmetallic medium. This leads to short-circuit failure of the electronic component. Results: we studied ion-migration that occurs in accordance with the main factors (environmental conditions, pitches, pattern material). The PCB pattern material was made by two different types of material (free solder, OSP) for this research and pitches of pattern is 0.15mm, 0.3mm, 0.5mm. PCB was experimented in the environmental conditions (high temperature $120^{\circ}C$, high temperature and high humidity $85^{\circ}C$, 85%RH) and was analyzed for ion-migration through the experiment results. Conclusion: We confirmed that environmental condition, pitches of pattern, pattern material had effect on ion-migration of PCB.

Among LTCC material for substrate, the crystallized anorthite system was mainly studied as high strength material. However, specific factors that have affected on strength of material were studied insufficiently on anorthite system. In this study, the composition of anorthite glass was Ca-Al-Si-Zn-O. The changes of phase and microstructure were observed with the amount and the particle size of glass and the sintering temperature. It was studied that the factors affected on the strength of material. Phases of anorthite and $ZnAl_2O_4$ were formed with the increase of sintering temperature. The $Al_2O_3$ phase was increased with $Al_2O_3$ amount, acted as filler, and the strength of material is increased with $Al_2O_3$ phase. But phases of anorthite and $ZnAl_2O_4$ didn't affect on the strength of material. In the case of 60 vol% glass amounts and below $3.2\;{\mu}m$ of glass particle size, the strength of material was decreased. It is thought that the decrease of strength was due to non-homogeneous mixing between glass powder and filler.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate visual preferences of the methods for river embankment based on seasonal changes and to reveal the relationship between visual preference and effective factors, which are the physical and esthetic elements inside the river. For this research seven river embankment methods including concrete block, concrete wall, gabion, and vegetated concrete block were selected in Dongchon of Gwangyang. Twenty-eight pictures by the four pictures of each embankment method based on seasonal changes, the winter and summer of the first and second years after construction were used for a photo-questionnaire by 49 participants. In the analysis of the relationship between visual preference and effective factors, the independent variables included eight factors: form of the material, harmony with the surroundings, the cleanness of river floor, the green area of embankment methods, the water area in river floor, the stone and sand area in river floor, the planting area in river floor, and the area of embankment itself. The result of this study are as follows. First, visual preference in summer was higher than in winter, and the summer landscape of the second you scored the highest value for visual preference. Second, similarly to the way the vegetated concrete block produced a green effect, cobblestone and gabion embankments made of natural materials scored higher than others, whereas the concrete retaining wall scored the lowest of all methods because of it's artificiality. Third, the seven independent variables, except form of the material, are proved statistically significant at the 5% level. The water area in river floor, harmony with the surroundings, the planting area in river floor, and the cleanness of the river floor were revealed as more effective factors influencing visual preference. The research results suggest that the riverscape has to be controlled in terms of seasonal change and embankment methods. Natural materials and green effects in embankment methods are more important for increasing landscape preference, and the landscape factors inside a river should also be considered important variables. It is recommended that advanced study on other factors affecting visual preference of the riverscape be carried out to support this research.

The thermal stress intensity factors for interface cracks of Griffith and symmetric lip cusp types under vertical uniform heat flow in a finite body are calculated by boundary element method. The boundary conditions on the crack surfaces are insulated or fixed to constant temperature. The relationship between the stress intensity factors and the displacements on the nodal point of a crack tip element is derived. The numerical values of the thermal stress intensity factors for interface Griffith crack in an infinite body and for symmetric lip cusp crack in a finite and homogeneous body are compared with the previous solutions. The thermal stress intensity factors for symmetric lip cusp interface crack in a finite body are calculated with respect to various effective crack lengths, configuration parameters, material property ratios and the thermal boundary conditions on the crack surfaces. Under the same outer boundary conditions, there are no appreciable differences in the distribution of thermal stress intensity factors with respect to each material properties. But the effect of crack surface thermal boundary conditions on the thermal stress intensity factors is considerable.
One of the most important factors determining the properties of a material is its grain size. However, unclear grain boundaries in the image hinder an accurate measurement of grain size. We demonstrate that grain boundaries existing in the images obtained by scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) can be clearly distinguished by applying a Sobel filter to a tilting series of STEM images of a hydrogenation-disproportionation-desorption-recombination processed Nd2Fe14B magnet sample.
