  • Despite the well-known predictive power of Dirichlet model on customer loyalty, deviations of share of category requirement (SCR) predicted by Dirichlet model from actual SCR have been repeatedly reported. It has been shown that these deviations can be systematically explained by some factors such as brand's market share, product positioning strategy, purchase volume and retail marketing mix strategies. Presuming that brand equity would be additional sources of these deviations, current study assesses the incremental predictive power of brand equity by using over 4,000 brand-level observations for the consumer packaged goods industry in the U.S. Our model estimations indicate that brands that exhibit higher brand equity enjoy excess loyalty, with the primary driver being volume premium, rather than price premium. Overall, our findings support the notion that idiosyncratic brand properties can explain excess behavioral loyalty, a notion that is in stark contrast with the Dirichlet view of the world: brand equity does not exist.

  • Purpose - This thesis aims to propose a method to help financial institutions improve their customers' convenience online and offline through a Bluetooth based App using the tool of a beacon. The emergence of smartphones in the 21st century and their increasing use makes it possible to search for information easily. Research design, data, and methodology - With the short-distance Bluetooth technology for smartphones, which finds users within a radius of 50m to provide the functions of message transmission and mobile payment, users can access information services and use mobile coupons in certain premises. Thus, beacon-based O2O technology has been developed. Results - This study offers a method of attracting customers through an O2O marketing strategy that overcomes the existing limitations of Web and Offline media. Conclusions -Since beacon technology has the advantage of more accurate positioning than GPS, financial institutions provide their product information for users through the basic function of a beacon, using an O2O (Online to Offline) marketing solution and, therefore, effectively enable customers to make relevant payments online and conduct their financial actions offline.

  • The growth of foodservice industry has caused keen competition in the family restaurant industry. For a differentiation strategy to be competitive, on the preferential basis, it is necessary for each family restaurant business to analyze its position in the market. Therefore, this study is to certify customers' perceived servicescape and image similarity and analyzes positioning of seven family restaurants. For this research, multidimensional scaling(MDS) is performed to determine how they are positioned relative to competitors. According to the result of the positioning map(ALSCAL and PROFIT map), it is found that Outback steakhouse, T.G.I. Friday's, Bennigans' have more strong competitiveness than VIPS, Marche and Sizzler in servicescape factors and restaurant selection attribute except menu diversity. But the preference order does not follow the order of competitiveness. This result from the positioning map means that each business needs various marketing strategies that cannot be copied easily.

  • This study investigates the main trend of LOHAS, examines and analyzes the LOHAS marketing cases of the fashion industry, and proposes an effective LOHAS marketing strategy for the domestic fashion market. Data were collected from Naver, Google and Daum from 2005 (when LOHAS began to be recognized) to October $31^{st}$ 2010. We searched the research material with keywords related to the research subject (such as eco, green, well being, echo-friendly, LOHAS, sustainable, environmental management, and green management) to conduct a theoretical and exploratory study through qualitative analysis. The data are analyzed with three types such as personal value of eco-friendly fabric, economical value of recycled fabric and re-use or re-form, and social-ethical value of distribution and promotion. The research results show that LOHAS marketing activities focused on personal values and social-ethical values (rather than economical value) and from an eco-friendly management centered on merchandise; in addition, an eco-friendly supply chain management incorporated with a management system were applied. LOHAS marketing strategies at home and abroad revealed some differences in the cases of eco-friendly fabric, recycling, and fair trade.

  • Recently, cause marketing is more focused as one of key brand positioning strategies, which in turn leads that more companies are interested in cause marketing. In this study, we focused on two different types of cause marketing, named as public-volunteered cause marketing and corporate-driven cause marketing. A field study using an actual brand explored the effect of cause marketing type and brand authenticity on purchase intention toward the target brand. Moreover, we examined the moderation and moderated mediation of brand awareness. As our results showed, the corporate-driven cause marketing had a positive impact both on brand authenticity and purchase intention in the low (vs. high) brand awareness condition. However, the effect of public-volunteered marketing on purchase intention and brand authenticity did not vary depending on brand awareness. To increase the effectiveness of the cause marketing, the results suggest that the public-volunteered cause marketing would be more effective than the corporate-driven cause marketing.
