Purpose - The major aim of this article is to advance understanding of the relationship between market orientation and speed-to-market. Specifically, this study examines the different impacts of component of market orientation on commitment to R&D and speed-to-market and explores whether market uncertainty plays a role of moderating in speed-to-market for market-oriented firms. Research design, data, and methodology - This study collected a survey data from Korean exporting firms. The Final sample size was 196. The measure of market orientation was conceptualized with second order constructs. All items were measured on five-point scale. To confirm hypotheses, this study conducted a hierarchical regression. Results - As sub-constructs of market orientation, customer orientation, competitor orientation and interfunctional coordination foster speed-to-market, and the relationship between only customer orientation and speed-to-market might be weakened when the extent of market uncertainty is high. Conclusions - This study confirmed the relationship between market orientation and speed-to-market, with three components of market orientation respectively, and whether market uncertainty plays a role of moderating which weaken the link between market orientation and speed-to-market. It could be useful to take a component approach to the market orientation construct, because the roles of different market orientation components might vary, contingent on uncertainty in the environment.

본 연구는 2국간 의료기기무역흐름(international trade flow)에 관한 무역결합도이론(Intensity Approach)을 통해 우리나라의 의료기기수출구조(export structure)와 중국과 일본의 수입구조(import structure)를 상호유기적으로 연계시킴으로써 한 중 일 의료기기 무역의 흐름을 보다 이론적이고 체계적으로 분석하였다. 또한, 우리의 대중국과 일본의 의료기기 수출증대(boost exports)에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는데 의의가 있다. 이에 본고에서는 한국과 의료기기(medical device) 시장에서 주요한 경쟁관계에 있는 중국과 일본의료기기 시장의 중요성을 인식하고 특별히 의료기기의 한 중 일 무역현황(situation of trade)을 살펴본다. 이어서 삼국의 의료기기에 있어서 상대적인 시장흐름(market stream)과 주요 의료기기 품목의 무역결합도(trade intensity)를 알아보고, 한 중 일 의료기기 시장의 지속적인 성장방안을 찾고자 한다.

A company's market value-added, which equals the excess of a company's market capitalization over it s book value, is used as one of the measures for intangible assets valuation in accounting literature. One problem with the approach is that the valuation results are affected by severe fluctuations in capital markets. In this paper, we propose an approach using the Kalman filter for intangible assets valuation. We apply this method to data of Korean electronic companies.

In Korea, the mobile telecommunication service market is expanding rapidly and becoming more competitive. For service providers in such a dynamic environment, it is very important to accurately forecast demand including market potential in order to work out marketing strategies. In this paper, we suggest a general approach to forecast the market potential using a multinomial logit model, which is applied to individual-level market survey data. Then we develop a dynamic market potential model that can adapt to changes in the external environment without requiring further market survey. The proposed model is applied to the mobile telecommunication service market in Korea.

Currently, Korean real estate market has experienced cooling down of the business because of the global economic crisis which resulted from the subprime mortgage lending practice. In response, the Korean government has enforced various policies at the base of deregulating real estate speculation, such as increasing Loan to value ratio (LTV) in order to stimulate housing demand and supply. However, these policies seemed to result in deep confusion in the Korean housing market. Furthermore, analysis for housing market forecasting, especially international financial crisis on Korean real estate market, has been partial and fragmentary, therefore comprehensive solution and systematical approach is required to analyze the real estate and real estate financial market including causal nexus between market determining factors. In an integrated point of view, applying the system dynamics modeling, the paper aims at proposing Korean Real Estate and Mortgage market dynamics models based on fundamental principles of housing market determined by supply and demand. We also find the impact of deregulation policies focusing on mortgage loan which is the main factors of policies.

Although the generation market is competitive, the power market is easily exercised the market power by one generator due to its special futures such as a limited supplier, large investment cost, transmission constraints and loss. Specially, as Korea Electric industry restructuring is similar US competitive wholesale electricity market structure which discovered the several evidences of market power abuse, when restructuring is completed the possibility that market power will be exercised is big. Market power interferes with market competitions and efficiency of system. The goal of this study is to investigate the market price effects of the potential market power and the proposed market power mitigation strategy in Korean market using the forecasting wholesale electricity market model. This modeling is developed based on the system dynamics approach. it can analyze the dynamic behaviors of wholesale prices in Korean market. And then it is expanded to include the effect of market condition changed by 'strategic behavior' and 'real time pricing.' This model can generate the overall insights regarding the dynamic impact of output withholding by old gas fire power plant bon as a marginal plant in Korean market at the macro level. Also it will give the energy planner the opportunity to create different scenarios for the future for deregulated wholesales market in Korea.

This study analyzed and evaluated the effect of agricultural water reduction by introducing automated agricultural water management using alternative cost approach. The approach is possible to evaluate none market property as an asset. The saved agricultural water was evaluated as none market property. As the alternative goods, Seongju and Donghwa dam, typical irrigation dams in domestic, were employed. The economic benefit from water saving effect of an automated agricultural water management was calculated as depreciation expense and maintaining cost of construction agricultural dam per saved agriculture water. As a result, the saved agriculture water was 8.5 million ton per year, and the economic benefit of it was $1.3{\sim}2.1$ million won.

An important aspect of the study of power system markets involves the assessment of strategic behavior of participants for maximizing their profits. In models of imperfect competition of a deregulated electricity system, the key task is to find the Nash equilibrium. In this paper, the bimatrix approach for finding Nash equilibria in electricity markets is investigated. This approach determines pure and mixed equilibria using the complementarity pivot algorithim. The mixed equilibrium in the matrix approach has the equal number of non-zero property. This property makes it difficult to reproduce a smooth continuous distribution for the mixed equilibrium. This paper proposes an algorithm for adjusting the quantization value of discretization to reconstruct a continuous distribution from a discrete one.

본 연구는 최근 FTA를 체결한 칠레를 비롯하여 신흥 시장으로 성장 가능성이 큰 중남미 시장에 있어서의 한국 상품의 진출 실태를 분석하고 기존에 이루어지고 있는 민간부문, 정부부문의 중남미 무역 관리 실태를 파악하여 문제점을 발견하고 특히 중남미 시장에서의 가장 큰 경쟁국가인 중국과의 비교를 통해 한국 상품이 중남미 시장에서 우위를 지켜나갈 수 있는 방법을 모색하였다. 이를 위해 중남미에서 문화적으로 선도 그룹인 '엘리트 집단'을 적극 활용하여 문화적 친연성을 높여야 할 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 단순히 '거대 시장'으로만 인식 되던 중남미 시장을 한국의 '전략적 시장'으로 접근하여 앞으로 한국 무역의 숙제인 수출 다변화와 점점 중요시 되는 원자재 등 에너지 자원의 안정적인 수입원으로서의 중남미 시장이 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 지금까지의 정부의 대 중남미 진출 확대를 위한 중남미 국가들에 대한 기술 협력, 무상 원조 지원 형태에서 벗어나 중남미 복합문화를 접목시킬 수 있는 한류문화의 특성화 작업을 서둘러 장기적인 시장 접근을 위한 특단의 대책이 필요할 것이다. 본 논문은 종합적 통상문화 환경의 수립과 창조적 문화 관계 수립에 의한 통상확대 정책에 대한 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

The situation of the global food markets has been being rapidly restructured and entering on a new phase by new dynamic and driving forces. The factors such as economic growth and income increase, high energy price, globalization, urbanization, and global climate change are transforming patterns of food consumption, production, and markets. The prices and markets of world food and energy are getting increasingly linked each other. Food and fuel are the global dilemma issues associated with the risk of diverting farmland or of consuming cereals for biofuel production in detriment of the cereals supply to the global food markets. An estimated 100 million tons of grain per year are being redirected from food to fuel. Therefore, the objectives of this study are as follows: Firstly, the study examines situations of the world food and energy resources, analyzes the trends of prices of the crude oil and biofuel, and formulates the food-energy links mechanism. Secondly, the study builds a simulation model, based on system dynamics approach, for not only analyzing the global cereals market and energy market but also forecasting the global production, consumption, and stock of those markets by 2030 in the future. The model of this study consists of four sectors, i.e., world population dynamics sector, global food market dynamics sector, global energy market dynamics sector, scenario sector of world economic growth and oil price.
