통합관리를 위한 해양연구시설·장비 표준분류체계 (Standard Classification System of Marine Research Facility and Equipment for an Integrated Management)

  • 다학제적인 해양연구가 활발하게 수행됨에 따라 다양한 종류의 해양연구시설·장비가 매년 구입되고 있다. 그러나 해양 연구시설·장비 중, 환경자료 수집 및 시료채취 등에 사용하는 다양한 종류의 현장 관측장비들을 현재의 국가연구시설·장비 표준분류체계로 분류하여 관리하는 데 어려움이 있다. 한국해양과학기술원의 경우 미분류상태로 적절히 관리되지 않는 연구시설·장비가 약 30% 정도이다. 본 연구에서는 해양 연구시설·장비를 특성에 따라 중분류군 7개와 소분류군 36개로 분류하고, 국가연구시설장비 표준분류체계에 의해 해양 연구시설·장비를 효율적으로 관리하기 위해 '환경관측/분석장비'라는 대분류군을 국가연구시설장비 표준분류체계에 추가하기를 제안한다. 그리고 해양 연구시설·장비 중 실험실에서 운영하는 장비들은 기존의 국가연구시설장비 표준분류체계에 따라 분류할 것을 제안한다. 이를 통하여 우리나라 전체의 해양관련 연구시설·장비를 체계적으로 분류하여 효과적으로 관리할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • Nowadays, Water Mist Fire Extinguishing System is increasingly used in maritime field for various application. The fire extinguishing capability of the system should be verified by hydraulic calculation in the same manner as the conventional water based fire extinguishing system such as sprinkler system. water spray system and etc. Additionally, the review of effectiveness of friction loss calculation method used for hydraulic calculation is needed because the pipe flow characteristic of its piping system has higher Reynolds number than that of the conventional system. In this paper the review work was carried out based on the NFPA Code 750.

  • In his study the simulation was carried out by simplifing and modeling dividing into fuel injectioin pump high pressure pipe and fuel injection valve in the fuel injection system of a low speed marine diesel engine. A computer simulation model was developed using the method of characteristics to analyze the unsteady flow in the fuel injection system considering cavitation and variation of fuel density and bulk modulus. Comparison was commenced between the calculated data and experimental data of pressure and injection quantity at the high pressure distributor in fuel injection system for the training ship "M/V hanara" the effects of the high pressure pipe length diameter plunger diameter nozzle openning pressure were also investigated by simulating results.g results.

  • Diesel engine is one of the most expensive and important components in a ship. Many researchers are interested in increasing the performance of diesel engines. Design of an optimum cooling system should also contribute to the enhancement of the performance as well as the efficiency of engines. In this study, we investigated the flow pattern within the cooling system of a marine diesel engine by using numerical simulation prior to the study of the heat-transfer problem. The engine cooling system is composed of five cooling units each unit containing a water-jacket and a cylinder head. Based on the calculated data, we also conducted theoretical analysis that can predict the flow-rate delivery in each of the five units.

  • In this study, a simulation program was developed, which could simulate a fuel injection system for low-speed marine diesel engine. The fuel injection system was divided into fuel injection pump, high pressure pipe and fuel injection valve. The unsteady flow in the high pressure injection pipe was analyzed by the method of characteristics, considering cavitation and variation of fuel density and bulk modulus. It was confirmed that the simulation results were good agree with experimental results of injection pressure and quantity at the high pressure distributor in fuel injection system for the training ship "M/V Hannara". And the effects of the atomizer hole diameter, maximum needle lift, plunger diameter and nozzle opening pressure were also investigated with simulating results.g results.

해양환경관리법상 해역이용영향 검토기관의 발전방향 (Improvement of Review System on Sea Area Utilization-Impact by Marine Environmental Management Law)

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 시행되고 있는 우리나라의 해양관련 환경영향평가와 협의제도의 현황과 문제점을 파악하여 관련 제도의 개선방향을 연구하였다. 또한 해양환경관리법상 해역이용영향 검토기관(이하 검토기관이라 함)의 기능과 역할 및 수행실적을 조사하여 SWOT 분석을 실시하였고, 나아가서 운영상 개선사항과 발전방향을 제안하였다. 2007년 검토기관에서 수행한 실적은 총 358건으로, 해역이용협의서가 165건(46.1%)으로 가장 많았고, 환경영향평가서 104건(29.0%), 그리고 사전환경성검토서가 89건(24.9%)이었다. 해역이용협의의 내용별로는 공유수면점 사용, 공유 수면매립과 바다골재채취 관련이 각각 41%, 32%와 21%를 차지하였다. 그러나 이러한 제도시행으로 해역이용개발 행위가 해양환경에 미치는 악영향을 최소화하고 있지만, 사전예기능으로서의 한계와 여러 가지 내용적 그리고 제도상운영상 측면에서 보완하고 개선해야 할 문제점이 지적되었다. 검토기관의 전문성, 공정성과 효율성을 확보하는 것이 매우 중요하고, 이를 위해서는 고유 기능과 역할을 극대화시킬 수 있는 제도적 개선과 운영상 지원이 필요하며, 동시에 자체적으로 적극적인 발전전략을 수립함으로써 전문적인 검토기관으로서의 정체성 확보와 위상을 정립시켜야 할 것이다. 연안관리의 실효성을 확보하기 위해서는 효율적인 해역이용협의제도를 지향하고, 주무부처의 해양환경관리에 대한 구동력과 능동성을 강화 확립해 나가야 할 것이다.

Merits of all-electric subsea production control system

  • Recently, researches on all-electric subsea system have been in progress. This paper describes a subsea tree using a lot of electrical signal and subsea control system. The way of subsea control is classified as all-electric systems or electro hydraulic systems. One of that has more merits in terms of cost, weight, power consumption, etc. because it uses electric signal instead of hydraulic signal. This paper describes the difference of each system's power consumption and simulation. As the result, if each system applies the same number of sensors, actuators, etc. The power consumption of all-electric system's load is less than at least 400kWh/day compared to the electro hydraulic system load.

The study on a ship energy management system applied rechargeable battery

  • Recently, the study of energy saving technology of ships begins in earnest, as energy saving policies are performed all around the world. SEMS (Ship Energy Management System) is one of the techniques to increase energy efficiency by applying to a independent system like a ship and offshore. SEMS is composed of Cooling Pump Control System (CPCS), Renewable Energy Emergency Power Control System (REEPCS), Load Control System (LCS), and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning System (HVACS). SEMS is enable to increase energy efficiency and achieve integrated management through the interlocking of each system. Especially, it is possible to improve the flexibility of the selection of the generator capacity in conjunction with a rechargeable battery and renewable energy. In this paper, SEMS applied rechargeable battery is proposed and simulated. By applying the rechargeable battery, it was confirmed that SEMS applied rechargeable battery can be operated at optimum efficiency of the generator.

  • 대양을 운항하는 선박에 해양환경정보를 제공하기 위한 MEIS(Marine Environmental Information System)의 개념설계를 수행하였다. MEIS는 해양환경 원시정보의 원격 취득시스템과 이를 가공하여 선박운항에 유용한 정보를 추출하는 처리시스템으로 구성되며, 정보의 전송을 위해 위성통신을 이용한다. 취득시스템 효율성은 활용하는 원격 해양정보의 양과 시간적 신속성에 좌우되며, 처리시스템의 효율성은 환경정보 해석기술의 다양성과 우수성에 의해 결정된다.
