  • However XML languages can logically define the type of structure with their's own grammar, it is inadequate to use them as a tool for conceptual model that represents the semantics of data and the relationships between the data in the real world. In this paper, we propose conceptual modeling techniques, called CMXML, for modeling the XML schema at the conceptual level. For this purpose, we define the model formally, and provide a way to represent the model in a graphical and text form. We also propose an mapping methodology providing transformation from CMXML to XML schema to show the feasibility of the proposed model.

  • In these days, Entity-Relationship Model is the most popular modeling tool for designing databases, and XML is a de facto standard language for representing and exchanging data. But, because of many commercial products supporting Entity-Relationship Model use their's own representation formats, and thus it gives rise to difficulties the inter-operability between these products. In this paper, we propose an ERX, a generation tool of XML Schema from Entity-Relationship Model. ERX receives an Entity-Relationship Diagram as an input, transforms it based on transformation rules, and generates a XML Schema Definition as an output. Transformation rules contain entity set, relationship set, mapping cardinalities, and generalization.

  • In this paper a constitutive model for large cracks in concrete and other brittle materials subject to dynamic and cyclic leading is presented. The suggested model is based on the plastic-damage model for cyclic leading. A numerical formulation based on the three-step return-mapping algorithm for the proposed large crack model is also present. The numerical examples show that the present algorithm works appropriately under dynamic leading and should be used in large crack problems to prevent excessive tensive plastic strain development causing unrealistic results.

  • Purpose - The business model is a method of creating corporate value, in existing "classification of business model", limitations and redundancy phenomena are applied when a new type flows in, and as consumer's purchasing decision of consumer behavior 5 steps. The classification schemes can be used for more accurate data analysis by proposing a new mapping technique in the fourth industry. Research design, data, and methodology - It was far more classified on the business model (BMS by BDS), and so on. Designing the new horizons of logistics, marketing, methodology by reclassifying these existing data to new useful data with the old methods, in order to analyze the areas where the problem has been raised for the point that the existing methods are not suitable configured. This will be applicable to the system of quaternary industry from the perspective of the buyer. Results - The mapping results of the consumer purchase decision were as follows, the 1st stage (interest) was 23.73%, 2nd stages (publicity) 33.90%, 3rd stages (sales) 13.56%, 4th stages (decision) 11.86%, 5th stages (repurchaser) 16.95%. This verified that "the business model can be classified through "BMS by BDS". Conclusions - This structural classification is the basis of logistics marketing in the 4th industry, and proposes a innovative and effective model of constructing theory.

  • In this study, the time delay model were simulated using the well-known AR model. Frequency response of the time delay model can be obtained by mapping AR model to JTC model in the time domain. That is, from the few measurement data in JTC model, the channel frequency response can be obtained by the estimation of AR model parameters. From this channel frequency response, the time delay model can be obtained using Fourier transformation. To prove the validity of the suggested method, three models of JTC were shown and analyzed.

  • Discrete element analysis is used to map various log-normal particle size distributions into measures of the in-sphere pore size distribution. Combinations evaluated range from monosized spheres to include bimodal mixtures and various log-normal distributions. The latter proves most useful in providing a mapping of one distribution into the other (knowing the particle size distribution we want to predict the pore size distribution). Such metrics show predictions where the presence of large pores is anticipated that need to be avoided to ensure high sintered properties.

  • This paper describes performances of speaker adaptation using a probabilistic spectral mapping matrix in hidden-Markov model(HMM) -based Korean isolated word recognition. Speaker adaptation based on probabilistic spectral mapping uses a well-trained prototype HMM's and is carried out by Viterbi, dynamic time warping, and forward-backward algorithms. Among these algorithms, the best performance is obtained by using the Viterbi approach together with codebook adaptation whose improvement for isolated word recognition accuracy is 42.6-68.8 %. Also, the selection of the initial values of the matrix and the normalization in computing the matrix affects the recognition accuracy.

  • Partial quenching structure of turbulent diffusion flames in a turbulent mixing layer is investigated by the method of flame hole dynamics in order to develop a prediction model for turbulent flame lift off. The essence of flame hole dynamics is derivation of the random walk mapping, from the flame-edge theory, which governs expansion or contraction of flame holes initially created by local quenching events. The numerical simulation for flame hole dynamics is carried out in two stages. First, a direct numerical simulation is performed for constant-density fuel-air channel mixing layer to obtain the turbulent flow and mixing fields, from which a time series of two dimensional scalar dissipation rate array is extracted at a fixed virtual flame surface horizontally extending from the end of split plate to the downstream. Then, the Lagrangian simulation of the flame hole random walk mapping projected to the scalar dissipation rate array yields temporally evolving turbulent extinction process and its statistics on partial quenching characteristics. The statistical results exhibit that the chance of partial quenching is strongly influenced by the crossover scalar dissipation rate while almost unaffected by the iteration number of the mapping that can be regarded as a flame-edge speed.

  • We propose a camera system to acquire indoor stereo omni-directional images and its calibration method. These images can be utilized for indoor precise mapping and sophisticated imagebased services. The proposed system is configured with a rotating stereo line camera system, providing stereo omni-directional images appropriate to stable stereoscopy and precise derivation of object point coordinates. Based on the projection model, we derive a mathematical model for the system calibration. After performing the system calibration, we can estimate object points with an accuracy of less than ${\pm}16cm$ in indoor space. The proposed system and calibration method will be applied to indoor precise 3D modeling.

  • The Government confirmed the action planning of digital mapping project for major thematic maps based on‘Revised Plan for The Development of the National Geographic Information System’(NGIS). Mapping for major thematic maps will selectively have produced the essential digital thematic maps according to the frequency of usage by the year of 2000. The models of topographic-cadastral maps around Suwon were produced in accordance with the presented draft. We presented specification for production of the most appropriate topographic-cadastral maps through the analysis of the process of production, discussion and error check, and correction of the produced topographic-cadastral maps. And we could make it easier to develop digital mapping project of topographic-cadastral maps effectively by presenting the strategy for data input and maintenance, the cost model for carrying out the digital thematic map production, digital topographic maps, and the supplement of data model and data format.
