Performances of BLDCM Drive System for Treadmill Application

  • In this paper, a BLDC motor and its controller are developed for treadmill application. Motor size and structure are restricted in the design stage due to the limited and enclosed space of the treadmill. The shape of the rotor magnet is analyzed using FEM with restricted design conditions. Manufacturing, cost and performance are also considered. A biomechanical analysis of human locomotion with the change of velocity is considered in the design of the controller. For stable operation of the treadmill, current and temperature are to be detected by the DSP controller. The prototype BLDCM and its controller are tested to verify its performances.

  • Namhae chemical is one of the largest fertilizer manufacturing company in Korea which company has operating 4 unit agitator gear boxes and producing variety kinds of fertilizer production. The gearbox operating temperature of agitator is approximated in $55^{\circ}C{\sim}90^{\circ}C$ and required to keep operating continuous without stopping. The system required high performance oil and longer oil drain interval as limited workforce in maintenance team. It was lubricated by mineral gear oil of ISO VG 320 and also need to change to new oil frequently. Namhae Chemical would expect to keep stable operating condition without shut down and consider, lower cost of operation and equipment protection.

분해도 및 조립형상 정보를 이용한 작업시간 산정에 관한 연구 (Automatic Work Time Evaluation Based on a Verification of Disassemblability and Assembly Configuration)

  • This paper presents a method of an automatic work time evaluation based on the verification of a disassemblability and assembly configuration. Even though a work time evaluation is an important field of concern for planning assembly lay-out, there are some limitations using cumbersome user query or approximated work time data without considering assembly condition. To overcome such restriction, this paper presents a method to mathematically verify assembly conditions based on the disassemblability, which is defined by the separability and stability cost. The separability cost represents a facility of the part disassembly operation, and the stability cost which represents a degree of the stability for the base assembly motion. Based upon the results, we propose a new approach of evaluating work time using neural networks. The proposed method provides an effective means of solving the work time evaluation problem and gives a design guidance of planning assembly lay-out in flexible manufacturing application. Example study is given to illustrate the concepts and procedure of the proposed schemes.

DAF(Dissolved Air Flotation)를 이용한 팽화 슬러지 농축 (Thickening of Bulking Sludge using DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation))

  • An effective technique of sludge separation is required for excess sludge of sewage or wastewater plant. The separation of bulking sludge of paper manufacturing plant was studied using DAF(Dissolved Air Flotation) system. The effects of parameters such as nozzle type, A/S(air/solid) ratio. pressure, injection time of pressured water and saturation time were examined. The results showed that the best nozzle type was flat which had small orifice hole, The optimum A/S ratio and pressure were $7.070\times10^{-3}$(recycle ratio of pressured water $20\%$) and 5atm, respectively. Injection times of pressurized water around 20-25 sesc and flotation time of 30 min appeared to be optimal for the DAF operation. The order of performance of packing was 18 mm > 22 mm > 32 mm.

  • This paper deals with the sequencing problem in the operation of the manufacturing systems with the constraint of buffer capacity. Some of studies for this theme have been progressed for several years. And then most of them considered only one objective, such as maximum lateness, machine utilization, makespan, mean flowtime and so on. This study deal with two objectives of the delivery for customers and the idle time of machines for producers. For the decision of sequence, the utility function is used. The developed heuristic algorithm presents a good solution. Through a numerical example, the procedures of the job sequencing is explained.

  • Since concrete is contaminated or radioactive during operation of nuclear power plants, it is the most important radioactive waste generated during the dismantling of a nuclear power plant. The amount of waste is different depending on the pollution state of each facility and the applied technology is different, so there is a big difference. We aim to reduce the amount of waste and increase the value of recyclability through technology to remove radionuclides attached to the surface. For this purpose, laser scabbling, which exfoliates the surface of concrete by irradiating a laser, and a facility system for controlling dust and dust are used in parallel. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of laser scabbling by manufacturing simulated concrete for nuclear facilities, and to review the optimal mixing design conditions for nuclear facility structures.

  • 제조장치의 네트워크 환경은 PLC, 로보트와 같은 프로그래머블디바이스에 Mini- MAP 네트워크 접속장치를 장착하여 원격제어가 가능한 공정한 네트워크 시스템 구성 이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서 설계된 공정 네트워크 접속장치는 MAP 3.0 규격을 근거로 MAC부 계층은 TBC(token bus controller)가 수행하고, LLC부 계층은 class 3으로, 응용계층은 MMS(manufacturing message standard)를 기본으로 설계하였다. 구현된 소프트웨어는 Mini-MAP의 실시간 정보 전송 성능을 보존하기 위하여 C Exec. 의 real-time executive를 기반으로 설계하여 firmware로 탑재하였다. 본 접속장치는 군관리 공정 모델에서 시험 운영하였으며, LLC 계층의 오류검출과 전송기능은 프로토 콜 분석기를 이용하여 확인하였으며, MMS는 적합성 시험을 이미 받은 MMS를 탑재한 상용제품과의 통신운영을 통하여 적합성 시험을 확인하였다.

기계가공시 분당가공비를 고려한 최적 절삭 조건에 관한 연구 (A study on automatic selection of optimal cutting condition on machining in view of economics)

  • Recently the multi-kind, small-amount manufacturing system has been replacing the mass manufacturing system, and domestic machining inustry also is eager to absorb the new technology because of its high productivity and cost reduction. The optimization of the cutting condition has been a vital problem in the machining industry, which would help increase the productivity and raise the international competitiveness. It is intended in this study to investigate the machining costs per unit time which is essential to the analysis of the optimal cutting condition, to computer the cutting speed that lead to the minimum machining costs and the maximum production to suggest the cutting speed range that enables efficient speed cutting, and to review the machining economy in relation to cutting depth and feed. Also considered are the optimal cutting speed and prodution rated in rrelation with feed. It is found that the minimum-cost cutting speed increases and the efficient cutting speed range is reduced as machining cost per unit time increases since the cutting speed for maximum production remains almost constant. The machining cost is also lowered and the production rate increases as the feed increases, and the feed should be selected to satisfy the required surface roughness. The machining cost and production rate are hardly affected by the cutting depth if the cutting speed stays below 100m/min, however, they are subject to change at larger cutting depth and the high-efficient speed range also is restricted. It can be established an adaptive optimal cutting conditions can be established in workshop by the auto-selection progam for optimal operation. It is expected that this method for choosing the optimal cutting conditions might contribute to the improvement of the productivity and reduced the cost. It is highly recommended to prepare the optimal cutting conditionthus obtained for future use in the programing of G-function of CNC machines. If proper programs that automatically select the optimal cutting conditions should be developed, it would be helpful to the works being done in the machine shops and would result in noticeable production raise and cost reduction.

중소(中小)제조업의 성과평가를 위한 성과측정지표 설계 방법 (Design of Performance Measurement Indicators for the Small and Medium Sized Manufacturing Company)

  • 최근 조직의 성과평가 또는 개인의 성과평가를 위한 시스템이 많이 도입되고 있다. 특히 중소 제조업의 성과평가를 위한 BSC활용이 확산되고 있다. 그러나 성과평가시스템이 전문가에 의해 설계되고 구축되어야하지만 중소기업의 자금 부족으로 인해 소프트웨어 기업에서 판매하는 소프트웨어에 의존하여 실시하고 있다. 그렇지만 성과측정의 가장 중요한 것은 객관성이다. 따라서 효과적인 성과측정을 위해서는 측정하고자 하는 성과지표가 잘 설계되어야한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중소기업 중에서 제조업종을 영위하는 기업을 대상으로 성과평가를 하기위해 기준으로 삼을 수 있는 성과측정지표를 제시하였다. 연구 결과로 관리부서, 생산부서, 연구부서의 기준으로 제시되는 성과측정 지표가 매우 유효했음을 통계적으로 검증할 수 있었다.

  • 다품종소량생산의 특징을 갖고 있는 금형공업에서 컴퓨터통합생산시스템(Computer Integrated Manufacturing System;CIMS)의 실현을 위한 중요한 분야의 하나는 부품설계도면으로부터 최종제품을 생산하는데 필요한 공정계획의 자동화, 즉 컴퓨터를 이용하여 공정계획을 자동적으로 생성하는 자동공정계획시스템(Computer Aided Process Planning;CAPP) 기술의 개발이다. 국내외적으로 CAPP분야의 연구는 컴퓨터 지원에 의한 자동화 기술의 급속한 발전과 더불어 지난 20여년 동안에 기계가공품에 관한 CAPP은 약 150여가지가 개발되었으나, 이는 컴퓨터 지원에 의한 설계의 자동화(Computer Aided Design;CAD)나 컴퓨터 지원에 의한 제조의 자동화(Computer Aided Manufacturing;CAM)분야에 비해 상대적으로 저조한 형편이다. 특히 금형을 대상으로 한 CAPP시스템의 개발은 아직 초기단계에 있기 때문에, 본 연구에서는 사출금형을 대상으로 하여 실용성이 있는 공정설계시스템을 개발함을 목적으로 한다. 일반적으로 공정계획은 "소재로부터 제품을 경제적, 효율적으로 생산하는데 필요한 제조공정의 체계적인 결정"이라고 정의할 수 있다. 공정계획은 제품의 종류와 수량, 재료와 부품의 종류, 보유 생산설비와 제조기술의 수준에 따라 다르나, 공정설계(Process Design)와 작업설계(Operation Design)로 구분할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 공정계획을 광의의 공정설계로 정의하고, 공정설계와 공정계획을 동의어로 통용토록 한다. 기존의 CAPP시스템의 개발에 관한 기본적인 접근방법은 변성형방법(Variant method), 창성형방법(Generative method) 및 자동화방법(Automatic method)이 있다. 이들 CAPP시스템을 개발할 때 사용하는 기법은 크게 5가지- (1) GT(group Technology) 접근기법, (2) Bottom-up 접근기법, (3) Top-down 접근기법, (4) AI와 전문가시스템(Expert System) 접근기법, (5) 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 언어 - 로 분류할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 전문가시스템 기법을 도입해서 사출금형 공정계획전문가의 지식과 경험을 획득하여 지식베이스를 구축하고, 전문가시스템 셀(shell)중 CLIPS를 이용하여 자동공정계획시스템인 Mold CAPP을 개발하였다.PP을 개발하였다.
