To drive construction project successful, a construction manager with good competency is needed. In order to select appropriate construction manager, there should be a standard and a method for appropriately evaluating the competency of construction manager. There have been many researches on the competency of construction managers, but there are two points to be supplemented. One is that construction manager's competency measurement was not concrete and objective, and the other is that construction project performance directly reflects individual manager's performance. The purpose of this study is to derive a construction manager competency evaluation index by using the Notational Analysis technique that is used when deriving an indicator that measures the athlete's competency in sports. This analysis was drawn with Delphi method. Finally, the 'measurable behaviors'were derived that can evaluate the competency of construction managers. Through this, it is possible to express each manager's expertise, leadership, and personal characteristics in numerical expression. This will help decision makers when selecting construction managers. It is anticipated that decision makers will be able to make the decision to select the necessary construction managers easier because it can evaluate the construction managers through a scientific approach based on the record by supplementing the existing method which only relied on intuition.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine factors affecting the burden on employment of occupational health care providers as well as to develop strategies to reduce burden on employment of them in the middle size manufacturing enterprises. Methods: The target population of this study was 123 managers working in the middle size manufacturing enterprises. The study questionnaires were selected, as theories and literature suggested, for explaining employment burden, general characteristics of participants and occupational health providers, general characteristics of companies, evaluation of occupational health provider's role and burden score. Results: The mean of employment burden score of manager was 2.2. There was a significant difference in the employment burden scores, manager's age and education, and occupational health provider's age, type of work, certification, and employment status. Also there was a negative relationship between employment burden scores and occupational health provider's role scores (need, role, satisfaction, and benefit). In the results of the standard multiple regression analysis, manager's need scores on occupational health providers were significant predictors of the employment burden scores. Conclusion: It is necessary to change the manager's perception to promote employment of occupational health providers.

This article starts with a review of the organization characteristics and corporate education training program, especially in relation to the cyber education. In particular, we empirically analyzed the factors affecting the characteristics of education program (e.g., relatedness of the program contents, method of education and instructor's ability) and the organization characters (e.g., support of manager and coworker, education culture). Hence the main purpose of this article is to suggest an empirical model explaining how these factors affect the transfer of training and enterprise revitalization. Furthermore, we suggested an expanded model about cyber education training program, transfer of training, and corporate's facilitation. We founded that the contents and method of education significantly affect the transfer of training, while instructor's ability does not significantly affect. Supports from manager and coworkers, education culture, and transfer of training also affect the enteprize revitalization.

I conducted structural model analysis which is considered the influence of "government policy and micro-enterprise manager's characteristics" on management performance through effective analysis on governmental policy for micro-enterprise funding, training and consulting support. This study results showed characteristics of micro-enterprise manager and government policy significant to management performance. In the structural model, significant independent variables are customer's accessibility, promotion availability, goods mobility, customer attractive ability, effectiveness of funding, size of supported training, and effectiveness of training and satisfaction of supported consulting size.

As total system performance depends on spatial dta management in spatial database system, low cost method is required. However, spatial data have many characters that are different from multimedia data, data size is almost similar by layer and variable from few bytes to tera bytes. So large data manager of EXODUS and Starburst and BLOB etc, make problems that is many Disk I/O and Disk space waste. This paper proposes new storage method for spatial data considering spatial dta characteristics.

Slowly, but surely, we are seeing the emergence of a variety of embedded systems that are employing Storage Class RAM (SCRAM) such as FeRAM, MRAM and PRAM, SCRAM not only has DRAM-characteristic, that is, random byte-unit access capability, but also Disk-characteristic, that is, non-volatility. In this paper, we propose a new software architecture that allows SCRAM to be used both for main memory and for secondary storage simultaneously- The proposed software architecture has two core modules, one is a SCRAM driver and the other is a SCRAM manager. The SCRAM driver takes care of SCRAM directly and exports low level interfaces required for upper layer software modules including traditional file systems, buddy systems and our SCRAM manager. The SCRAM manager treats file objects and memory objects as a single object and deals with them in a unified way so that they can be interchanged without copy overheads. Experiments conducted on real embedded board with FeRAM have shown that the SCRAM driver indeed supports both the traditional F AT file system and buddy system seamlessly. The results also have revealed that the SCRAM manager makes effective use of both characteristics of SCRAM and performs an order of magnitude better than the traditional file system and buddy system.

Stream data, gathered from ubiquitous sensor networks, change continuously over time. Because they have quite different characteristics from traditional databases, we need new techniques for storing and querying/analyzing these stream data, which are research issues recently emerging. In this research, we implemented a storage manager gathering stream data and storing them into databases, which are sampled continuously from sensor networks. The storage manager cleans faulty data occurred in mobile sensors and it also reduces the size of stream data by merging repeatedly-sampled values into one and by employing the tilted time frame which stores stream data with several different sampling rates. In this research furthermore, we measured the performance of the storage manager in the context of a sensor network monitoring fires of a building. The experimental results reveal that the storage manager reduces significantly the size of storage spaces and it is effective to manage the data stream for real applications monitoring buildings and their fires.

Since early 2000s, the importance of CM services has been increasingly recognized and the CM market is continuously growing. As a consequence, the number of CM companies has increased, which means keener market competition. In order to increase their competitiveness, it has been a major task for CM companies to employ and foster competent construction managers who can play a role of efficient project leaders. The objective of the paper is to analyze key characteristics of construction managers' roles during design stages from the perspective of leader's roles including strategic planner, team builder, gatekeeper, expert, champion.

The objective of this study is to investigate flow behaviors of polluted air in order to prevent the impact of disaster in a tunnel. This paper presents the experimental results qualitatively in terms of flow characteristics in two kinds of rectangular tunnel models in which each distance from the centerline above the inlet vent to the exhaust vent is 0 and 60 mm, respectively. The olive oil is used as the tracer particles. The flow is tested at the flow rate of $14.16{\times}10^{-4}\;m^3/s$ and the inlet vent velocity of 1.1 m/s with the kinematic viscosity of air. The aspect ratio of the model test section is 10. The average velocity vectors, streamlines, and vorticity distributions are measured and analyzed by the Flow Manager in a particle image velocimetry(PIV) system. The PIV technology gives three different velocity distributions according to observational points of view for understanding the polluted air flow characteristics. The maximum value of mean velocity generally occurs in the inlet and outlet vent regions in the tunnel models.

The purpose of this study is to identify the control effect of empowerment from the effect to the task satisfaction of the nursing staff of the manager of followership, to study the relationship between the followership of nursing manager, task-satisfaction and empowerment that the nurse recognized. The data collection was conducted for nurses working at four general hospitals with 500 beds or more in Jeollanam-do from March 2 to March 17, 2019. The data were analyzed with the general characteristics of the subjects, and the degree of measurement variables were determined by frequency analysis and technical statistical analysis. The differences in the relevant factors according to the general characteristics were analyzed by t-test and ANOVA, and the correlation and multicollinearity among the measurement variables were analyzed as Pearson's correlation coefficiency, and Moderator regression analysis was performed to verify the adjustment effect of the empowerment. The results of the study showed significant results nursing managers' followership, empowerment and job satisfaction by the educational level. In addition, difference from work experience has shown statistically significant differences in job satisfaction. It has been shown that there is a static correlation between the followership of nursing manager that the subject recognized, empowerment and task satisfaction, the influence between followership and job satisfaction has been found to act as adjustment variables on empowerment. The conclusion of this study is meaningful in that it has verified its influence by applying recently emerging followership to nursing field. From now on, extensive research is important for the members to develop the leadership of members and followership.
