The results are as follows. The primary general characteristics related to successful weight reduction in the obesity management programs were education level, occupational status, reason for obesity onset, aids used in weight control, basis of frequency, and reason for weight reduction. The initial psychological factors related to successful weight reduction were less stress and disordered eating. The initial environmental factors included an expression of ones opinion and the eating environment. Animal protein and animal fat consumption were significantly less in the unsuccessful group than in those who were unsuccessful at weight loss. The consumption of crude fiber was significantly greater in the successful group than in the unsuccessful group. Psychological factors such as stress, depression, and disordered eating, and the environmental factor of eating environment were significantly better in the successful group than in the unsuccessful group. • Background: Rates of overweight and obese Australians are high and continue to rise, putting a large proportion of the population at risk of chronic illness. Examining characteristics associated with preference for a work-based weight-loss program will enable employers to better target programs to increase enrolment and benefit employees' health and fitness for work. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was undertaken at two Australian mining sites. The survey collected information on employee demographics, health characteristics, work characteristics, stages of behavior change, and preference for workplace assistance with reaching a healthy weight. Results: A total of 897 employees participated; 73.7% were male, and 68% had a body mass index in the overweight or obese range. Employees at risk of developing obesity-related chronic illnesses (based on high body mass index) were more likely to report preference for weight management assistance than lower risk employees. This indicates that, even in the absence of workplace promotion for weight management, some at risk employees want workplace assistance. Employees who were not aware of a need to change their current nutrition or physical activity behaviors were less likely to seek assistance. This indicates that practitioners need to communicate the negative effects of excess weight and promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to increase the likelihood of weight management. Conclusion: Weight management programs should provide information, motivation. and trouble-shooting assistance to meet the needs of at-risk mining employees, including those who are attempting to change and maintain behaviors to achieve a healthy weight and be suitably fit for work.

  • The paper analyzes OECD health systems from the perspective of historical institutionalism. Criticizing the dependence of Korea's national health program on Pacific countries such as Japan and the U.S., it suggests that European experiences of national health programs can be a model of the Korean health system in the future. Based on an inquiry into Italian and British cases of national health systems, the author emphasizes (1) the role of local governemts in national health programs, and (2) the integration of a national health program with public health programs.

Methods : For this study, a data search was conducted from 2012 to 2021, using search terms 'schizophrenia' AND 'self-esteem' among the studies registered in the RISS, KISS, Google Scholar, and National Library of Korea databases. A total of 988 studies were searched, and among them, 40 studies meeting the selection criteria had been taken by reviewing the titles and abstracts. After, 33 studies were excluded according to the exclusion criteria, and finally, the 7 studies were selected. Results : As a result, research into self-esteem programs for schizophrenic individuals has progressed steady, and most studies tend to be non-randomized controlled studies. All studies used the Self-Esteem Scale to evaluate self-esteem. All studies used the Self-Esteem Scale to evaluate self-esteem. The interventions of the selected studies were classified as were social skill programs, cognitive behavioral therapy programs, art therapy programs, and emotional management programs. And among them, the cognitive behavioral therapy programs were the most frequently used (42.8 %). Typically, the majority of the intervention sessions consisted of 11~15 sessions, the frequency of intervention was twice a week, and each session lasted 40~80 minutes were the most (each 57.1 %). In the programs for self-esteem, significant effects were reported for cognitive behavioral and art therapy programs, and there is no significant effect on social skill programs and emotional management programs. Conclusion : Future studies should expand the research scope, both domestically and internationally, and suggest more comprehensive conditions for a literature search by widening the research subject coverage.

  • Reasonable usage methods of energy resources, which are limited for human beings to use, consists of new & renewable energy (NRE) and demand side management (DSM). All technologies and policies for energy resources are classified into two fields, methods for using new energy resources and methods for using conventional fuel energy resources. Various development activities for these fileds have been implemented and various subsidy programs have been operated to penetrate into markets rapidly. These subsidy programs have various types of subsidy by energy resources and programs and the budget are funded by government, which is called Electric Power Industry Basis Fund and is managed considering technology level, economic analysis, global environment, etc. These subsidy programs are managed by Korea Energy Management Corporation (KEMCO) for NRE and by Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) for DSM, the management are different among two corporations because the purposes and features of establishment are different though these are all public organization. KEMCO is managing the NRE subsidy programs according to the government will, while the management of KEPCO subjects to power system operations though the government will for DSM is considered. NRE which is on the initial phase of diffusion would not affect on power system seriously but the affects could be grown when the diffusion and importance are expanded. Hence some integrated affection analyses considering NRE and DSM are required and this paper shows the concept of integrated operation strategies with ground source heat pump systems which are related with two fields simultaneously.
