The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of design criteria and environmental conditions of the site of created tidal flats on the structure and function of man-made ecosystem. Seven constructed tidal flats and three natural tidal flats were studied taking the difference in the location (wave height and tidal current), inflow of river water, slope of tidal flat and age after the construction completed into consideration. Parameters studied were physico-chemical and biological characteristics of soils and rate of respiration. The natural tidal flats had higher contents of silt, nitrogen and organic matter compared with the constructed ones. The natural ones had reductive zone below 2cm, whereas the constructed ones had aerobic zone from the surface to below 20cm. The bacterial population in the soil of the constructed tidal flats was one to two orders of magnitude lower than that in the natural ones. Both biomass of macrobenthos and microbial respiration rate, however, were not different significantly between the natural and the constructed tidal flats. There was an exceptional constructed tidal flat with similar physico-chemical and biological characteristics to the natural ones. It is most probable that sufficient conditions to have similar tidal flats to natural ones are the location in enclosed bay or calm coastal area. Thus, to make man-made tidal flats with the same characteristics as those in natural ones, man-made tidal flats should be designed and/or located to enhance the accumulation of silt on tidal flat. It is important to select a place having low water motion for construction of tidal flat.

The mutual relation dynamics between the chulik and the Po for man in the period of chosun dynasty. The objectives of this study are to find out the mutual relation between the chulik and the Po for man-symeui, danryeong, changeui, jikryeong-, te change of chulik, and the ideas that made this change. Conclusions are decribed as followes: 1. The pattern of chulik and symeui is same, and they consist of bodice and skirt's length of the chulik was 1 : 1.3∼2 and it is effected by symeui. And symeui was effected by pratical structure of the chulik. 2. The functions of the chulik were the underwear of danryeong and the upperwear as military uniform. And then the length of chulik was shorter than danryeong in the early period of shosun dynasty. The sleeves were changed as large as danryeong in the late period of chosun dynasty. It is assumed that the changes were to be a functional underwear and to appear authority as upperwear. 3. Chulik as the underwear was hardly worm in the 17th centuries, and changeui was widely enjoyed instead of it. The reason of this change is that the pragmatism was emphasied in that period. 4. Chulik was widly worm instead of court dress, until the mid of 17th century after war. It was effected by outer factor of the war. And jikryeong was widly worm instead of chulik in the late period of chosun dynasty. It shows that military officers wanted to appear authority.
Scale model measurements should be conducted under an actual sky or in a simulated sky where conditions can be held constant. A number of successful attempts have been made to develop artificial sky domes with man-made sun emulators. With reference to formerly-developed examples, sky simulator facility has recently been activated in oder to provide desirable sky conditions for teaching and studies. The structure is a 6m-diameter dome and promises to set various condition for energy related and lighting research activities. The sky dome is also equipped a heliodon, the tilt table, to facilitate additive direct sun impact under clear skies. Shading studies, using scale models with the heliodon, reveal how a building's design blocks or permits light's passage to the interior; solar access studies, and tests of the reflection and transmittance characteristics of new daylighting technologies. The design and construction specification and the initial operating experience with a building configuration are reported.

CoCrPt alloy films are attracting wide attention for applications to high-density magnetic recording media and hard magnetic layer in spin valve structure due to their high coercivity and strong magnetocrystalline anisotropy. Diblock copolymer templates are one of the most promising candidates for nanoscale patterning otherwise inaccessible by lithographic procedures [1]. In this study, we have investigated magnetic properties of Co$\sub$68/Cr$\sub$18/Pt$\sub$14/ nanodot arrays made by self-assembling polystyrene-block-methyl methacrylate ((PS-b-PMMA), (Mn = 82.5 Kg/mol, with a 1.12 polydispersity)) diblock copolymer. In this paper, we propose and discuss the design using a simple method that reduces the fixed pattern noise(FPN) generated on the amorphous Si($\alpha-Si$) bolometer. This method is applicable to an IR image sensor. This method can also minimize the size of the reference resistor in the readout integrated circuit(ROIC) which processes the signal of an IR image sensor. By connecting four bolometer cells in parallel and averaging the resistances of the bolometer cells, the fixed pattern noise generated in the bolometer cell due to process variations is remarkably reduced. Moreover an $\alpha-Si$ bolometer cell, which is made by a MEMS process, has a large resistance value to guarantee an accurate resistance value. This makes the reference resistor be large. In the proposed cell structure, because the bolometer cells connected in parallel have a quarter of the original bolometer's resistance, a reference resistor, which is made by poly-Si in a CMOS process chip, is implemented to be the size of a quarter. We designed a ROIC with the proposed cell structure and implemented the circuit using a 0.35 um CMOS process.

During high speed economic growth period in Korea, our society has focused it's energy on the economic and social development based on the strategy of demolition and destruction of all our natural and man-made environment. In progress with that trend, our small cities in Korea also have just followed the metropolitan physical development pattern and considered that imitation of those metropolitan cities' or western cities' changes be the same meaning of "modernization". Therefore, our valuable urban and architectural heritages have been constantly destructed and that situation has been same in Anseong. Now in the new trend of environmentally sustainable urban design and at the new millenium period, we have to focus our attention on the retaining strategy of city's historicity as a city planner or an architect, and the first step for this strategy shall be to clarify the transition process of urban structure, especially of C.B.D. area of small cities since pre-industrial period.
Jeddah Tower will be the first man-made structure to reach a kilometer in height upon its completion in 2019. From conception, it was clear that an all-concrete superstructure would present many advantages for a building of such unprecedented height and slenderness. An all-concrete structure, however, did present many challenges that needed to be addressed in the system arrangement and through comprehensive analysis and design, among them vertical shortening effects due to the time-dependent creep and shrinkage of concrete. This paper outlines and presents the engineering solutions developed by the authors regarding this complex concrete material phenomenon, while addressing the construction and regional challenges associated with realizing a concrete tower of this unprecedented scale.
This was written based on the type and structure of korean man's waist belt in the early and middle era of the Chosun era. The waist belt was excavated from the Mokdaldong in the Daejeon city. The types of korean man's waist belt in the Chosun era were classified into Wondahae (i.e., round shape belt) and Gwangdahae. The Wondahae consist of two types which are circle shaped and straight types. The circle shaped wondahae contain one fringe in the main body of the belt and its joint part is decorated with a small network such as lacing decoration with the size about 1 cm around. The shape of the Wondahae has been changed from the circle shaped into the straight types and also has a tendency to be wider and longer as time went by. The standard form of the Gwangdahae is straight with about 2-3 cm width and elaborated by lacelike fringe as well. This also has a tendency to be wider starting from the 1600s show. The structure of this belts were divided into braid and ornament parts. The ornament part was constructed with the lacelike netting and fringe parts. The sophisticated craft techniques have a great decorative beauty. Through an analysis of FT-IR, the materials of those three belt are known which are made of the silk and the core thread was filled with cotton. Moreover, it can be confirmed that the glitter material of the ornament part were designed with gold foil and has been analyzed with SEM-EDX.
This dissertation was aimed to study the stability of egg foams and the quality of rice yackwa added with egg foams. Because of the difference of protein composion between rice flour and wheat flour, yackwa made from rice powder turned out to be harder and less raised. Egg foams were added to the rice flour to help raise the dough to a great extent and make it softer when frying. The smaples were prepared differently: in the finess of rice flour (100, 140 mesh), the kinds of egg foams (whole egg, egg white), and the content of egg foams (40 g, 60 g), respectively. The stability of egg foams was determined by an Optical microscope, the hardness of rice yackwa was examined by Instron, the structure by Scanning Electron Microscope, the color by Hunter's Colorimeter, and the sensory evaluation was also made. The resluts are as knows: The most stable egg white foam and whole egg foam were the 2 and 3 min. whipped ones, respectively. In the case of rice yackwa, which was made from 140 mesh rice flour and 60 g of whole egg, the hardness and the structure were similar to those of wheat yackm. It was very tasty and most preferred. As a whole, the color of rice yackwa was lighter man mat of wheat yackwa.

In recent decades, the characteristics of natural hazard has been changed and the global cost of natural disasters has increased substantially. There are several trends in society and nature that suggest this pattern may continue, with more frequent mega-disasters occurring in the future. In particular, risk perception that is at odds with the "real" risk underlies the process of risk transference increases long-term vulnerability. Therefore investigating the correct risk transference and adjustments according to regional socio-economic structure can mitigate and reduce environmental, so called man-made hazard.
