Conventional command-based communication services are rapidly substituted by multimedia web-based communication services at most recent times. As the result, many valuable database and services developed by investing lots of human and material resources become to be useless. Therefore in this paper we researched the implementation methods and techniques for making the updates efficiently from the conventional command-based database services to a multimedia web-based database system that made users easily access to database and services.

Recently, the user of mobile and cordless internet is growing rapidly. So the advertising methodologies are appeared on stage through the internet and mobile service. But the current advertisement(AD) service into mobile phones supplies a short-sentence AD using letter-message, and gives mobile phone users an inconvenience by making them first listen to and then check the AD. Until now the AD service using mobile has been on the beginning level. In this study, we suggest the new advertising methodologies and propose both target marketing strategies and demand forecast through the data mining techniques.

The real option pricing theory has emerged as the new investment decision-making techniques superceding the traditional discounted cash flow techniques and thus has greatly received muck attention from academics and practitioners in these days the theory has been widely applied to a variety of corporate strategic projects such as a new drug R&D, an internet start-up. an advanced manufacturing system. and so on A lot of people who are interested in the real option pricing theory complain that it is difficult to understand the true meaning of the real option value. though. One of the most conspicuous reasons for the complaint may be due to the fact that there exit many different ways to calculate the real options value in this paper, we will present a replicating portfolio method. a risk-neutral probability method. a risk-adjusted discount rate method (quasi capital asset pricing method). and an opportunity cost concept-based method under the conditions of a binomial lattice option pricing theory.

Large-scale low-alloy steel shafts, used in the manufacture of steam turbine, are produced by ingot making, forging and heat treatemtn processes. The numerical analysis techniques are introduced to analyze and design the working conditions in each process. The solidification of a steel ingot is studied through the finite element method. The open die press forging and quenching process are simulated by viscoplastic and elastic-plastic finite element method, respectively. Thus numerical analysis techniques are very useful tools to study favorable working conditions for better and more desirable product quality.

Schooling behavier to a fishing gear and estimation of the volume of fish school in set net have ~ been studied by making use of such techniques as visual observations, underwater cameras, under- water televison. However, all of these observation techniques are subject to restrictions caused by illumination, underwater visibility, underwater transparent and sea conditions. For the above mentioned reasoa, one of the most effective method by this time become generally known a method using fish finder. In this paper, in order to control the fishing ground of set net effectively and to develope the telemetric fish finder, the experiments for the target strength, underwater shape of fishing gear, schooling behavier and volume of fish school with fish finder were performed at Galgott fishing ground of set net located Keouje Island, 15th-24th July and 18th-20th October in 1985. The results of these experiment showed that a method using fish finder in fishing grOlllld of set net is available for estimating distribution and school size, fish behavier in relation to a fishing gear and underwater shape of fishing gears.

Purpose - In the past, designs for traditional products have usually focused on historic techniques. However, this tradition of using historic techniques has now been replaced by the trend of using the innovative design concept. Research design, data, and methodology - To measure future market trends and quality requirements, we apply the results of the questionnaires and analyze them with various experimental processes and a design methodology. In this way, we gauge the impact of the innovative product value chain on the promotion of new products. Results - Accompanied with an innovative product value chain, the product can stimulate the development of enterprise management, which has become the main issue in social and economic development in every developed country, and can facilitate the progress of enterprise management throughout the enterprise. Conclusions - Customer demand should be emphasized as the primary means to solve design problems, to design optimal solutions, to create differentiation with competitors, and to pursue optimal marketing strategies.

Culture industry is appearing as an important sector of economy. Many kinds of culture industry like movie, music, drama, animation and game are creating enormous wealth all over the world. Fashion is a kind of culture industry too and even sometimes treated as art. Korean fashion is not treated as real culture but still as a part of textile industry. Internationally Korean fashion has not yet much to show, and despite of it's potential it does not attract much interest from other countries. In this paper properties and effects of mulberry handmade paper clothes were investigated with five clothes made of it. In making handmade mulberry paper clothes various techniques could be applied and these techniques could bring new effects. Because mulberry handmade paper does not have little flexibility than ordinary texture, much efforts should be put to the detail works. Handmade mulberry paper clothes have enormous potential as art, because various approach could be applied.

To accomodate workers with efficient mobility, coveralls were redesigned, construted and evaluated. In this study, especially, image processing techniques were applied to the evaluation stage, to quantify thE ease of body movement. For the initial observation stage, car-center workers were interviewed and their movements were videotaped. By analyzing the videotape, the area of stress and strains on the work clothes were marked on the figure chert and considered for the pattern making. 4DM cut pattern were applied to the upper part of the work clothes and other alternations were made throughout the problem area. Honey comb slashes were made on the problem area of the original and newly designed coveralls. Open areas of honey comb slashes due to body movement between the original and newly designed coveralls were analyzed by image processing techniques. Other objective and subjective evaluation of newly designed coveralls was compared with the original one. Overall evaluation of functionally designed coveralls was appered to be positive and the image processing techiques were useful methology to quantify the amount of stress in this study.

This research starts from the questioning of current housing development situation on hilly sites in Korea. It aims to investigate various design techniques of row-rise housing as an alternative housing type on hilly sites. Several generic solutions are proposed by considering the density of dwelling, parking plans, exterior space and access patterns, making full use of geographical features of hilly site and existing facilities. In order to promote development feasibility of proposed plans, the efficiency of the proposed techniques are verified in terms of development density, enhancement of community space, habitability of housing.

Deterioration analysis was performed on carbody and bogies of a shunting locomotive, which has been used for shunting works in steel making processes. In this investigation, various types of technical evaluation methods for the locomotive were employed to assess the current deterioration status. Corrosion test and nondestructive evaluation (NDE) techniques were employed to demonstrate the wear status of the carbody and bogie parts in the locomotive. Since the locomotive has been working under corrosive environment, the corrosion tests with x-ray analysis for exterior part of the locomotive were conducted to examine the evolution of corrosion reaction, and NDE techniques such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and x-ray radiography, were conducted on the carbody and bogies to inspect any possible inherent and/or in-service flaws. In this paper, the degree of deterioration in a shunting locomotive has been presented based on the analysis results.
