유기농업단지 주요경관요소의 경관형용사 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Landscape adjective characteristics for the Major Landscape Elements in Organic farming)

  • Up to date, the majority research on the major landscape elements in organic farming has been mainly focused on the practice of seeking efficiency. The problem is that this type of study contributes to polluting the agricultural environment and damaging the ecological circulation system. As an alternative, there is a growing body of research on organic farming, but it is not widely applied that research on how to manage the landscape considering the scenic characteristics of farming villages practicing organic farming. Hence, in this paper we utilized landscape adjectives as a way to enhance the objectivity of the organic agricultural complex landscape assessment. More specifically, not only this study used a landscape image of an organic agricultural complex to identify a landscape adjective suitable for the landscape elements but also this study confirmed the suitability of landscape adjectives comparing to the opinions of experts and the public. To carry out, this study performed the experts survey which is composed of 12 major landscape elements, including rice paddies and fields, monoculture and diverse crops, dirt roads, windbreak trees, accent planting, dum-bung(small pond), natural small river, natural waterways, plastic film houses, one-storied houses, and pavilion. As a result of deriving the landscape adjectives from the main landscape elements, there were nine landscape adjectives that were consistent with experts and the public, including "clear" and "Artless" for rice paddies and fields, while the mismatched landscape adjectives were 'traditional'. The accent planting was a combination of landscape adjectives such as 'natural' and 'clear', while the windbreak trees was a consensus of all landscape adjectives. Only two adjectives, 'friendly' and 'wild', agreed on the dirt load, nine dum-bung(small pond), ten natural small river, nine duckery, eight one-storied houses, 10 pavilion, eight monoculture and diverse crops, and three natural waterways. The most common landscape adjectives were windbreak trees, pavilions, and natural small river, all 10 landscape adjectives. However, it is considered that only three of the 10 landscape types on the dirt road and the natural number are matched. Thus, additional management measures will be needed. In addition, it was analyzed that the most common landscape adjectives were "Artless" and "friendly" 13 times. The landscape adjectives of the organic farming complex responded by experts were analyzed to be suitable for natural, clear, zingy, silent, traditional, artless, friendly, wild and Leisurely, and consistent with the general public's opinion.

이영희의 의상작품에 응용된 한복의 요소 (Design Elements of the Korean Traditional Costume Applied in the Works of Lee Young-Hee)

  • The fashion designers in Korea can achieve the winning position in the competitive international market of fashion industry by adapting our own traditional beauty to the modem fashion design through the modernization of the Korean traditional styles. Therefore, this study attempted to analyze the works of the active Korean fashion designer, Lee Young-Hee, focusing on the subject how she incorporated the modem fashion with the elements of Korean traditional costume. In order to study this subject, both quantitative and qualitative research methods were used to collect and analyse the design elements of Korean costume used in the designer's works found from the major fashion magazines, FASHION TODAY, WWD, ELLE, BAZAAR, Marie Claire, Areumdown-Uri-Ot, The Beauty of Korea and FASHION SHOW from 1993 to 1999. The collected research data, 95 works, was counted and analyzed in terms of the formal characteristics borrowed from Korean traditional clothing items and their application techniques. Other aesthetic characteristics of her works such as color, fabric and pattern were also analyzed. As a result of the study, it was found that Lee Young-Hee has adapted many different kinds of major Korean clothing items including 'chima', 'paji', 'po', and 'chogori'. Also it was apparent to note that the formal characteristics of Korean traditional clothing items were successfully incorporated into her fashion design works expressing the beauty of oriental grace, naturalism, sophistication, and above all, the modem sense.

Effects of Sulfuric Acid Concentration and Alloying Elements on the Corrosion Resistance of Cu-bearing low Alloy Steels

  • During the process of sulfur dioxide removal, flue gas desulfurization equipment provides a serious internal corrosion environment in creating sulfuric acid dew point corrosion. Therefore, the utilities must use the excellent corrosion resistance of steel desulfurization facilities in the atmosphere. Until now, the trend in developing anti-sulfuric acid steels was essentially the addition of Cu, in order to improve the corrosion resistance. The experimental alloy used in this study is Fe-0.03C-1.0Mn-0.3Si-0.15Ni-0.31Cu alloys to which Ru, Zn and Ta were added. In order to investigate the effect of $H_2SO_4$ concentration and the alloying elements, chemical and electrochemical corrosion tests were performed. In a low concentration of $H_2SO_4$ solution, the major factor affecting the corrosion rate of low alloy steels was the exchange current density for $H^+/H_2$ reaction, while in a high concentration of $H_2SO_4$ solution, the major factors were the thin and dense passive film and resulting passivation behavior. The alloying elements reducing the exchange current density in low concentration of $H_2SO_4$, and the alloying elements decreasing the passive current density in high concentration of $H_2SO_4$, together play an important role in determining the corrosion rate of Cu-bearing low alloy steels in a wide range of $H_2SO_4$ solution.

대학도서관의 참고 장서개발정책 기본요소 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Primary Parts of Reference Collection Development Policy in Academic Libraries)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 참고 장서개발정책의 작성지침 5개를 분석하여 그 기본요소를 파악하고, 이를 토대로 미국의 대학도서관에서 실제로 작성된 참고 장서개발정책 24개를 비교 분석해 봄으로써 참고 장서개발정책의 기본요소와 그 내용을 파악해 보기 위한 것이다. 대표적인 5개의 지침과 24개의 참고 장서개발정책의 분석을 통해 총 9개의 기본요소가 발견되었고, 이 요소들은 다시 5개의 핵심요소와 4개의 선택요소로 구분되었다. 5개의 핵심요소는 (1) 서문, (2) 참고장서의 범위, 크기, 수준, (3) 참고장서의 포맷, (4) 참고장서의 유형, (5) 참고장서의 관리(선정, 제적, 평가, 책임)였다. 본 연구를 통해 파악된 9개의 기본요소와 그 내용들은 앞으로 참고 장서개발정책의 작성을 시도하는 모든 대학도서관에서 기본 틀로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

도로선형설계요소의 표준편차를 이용한 설계일관성과 교통사고와의 상관성 (Correlation between Design Consistency and Accident Rates based on Standard Deviations of Highway Design Elements)

  • 고속도로에서 교통사고에 중요한 두 영향요소는 운전자요소와 도로환경요소로 구분되어 진다. 그동안 여러 연구에서 도로환경요소중 설계요소로 알려진 곡선반경, 종단경사, 편경사, 관찰속도와 교통사고와 관련성을 연구하였고 그 밀접한 관련성을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 논문에서는 이들 관련요소 크기가 교통사고와 관련성이 깊다는 사실에 대하여 상관관계분석을 통하여 확인하고자 하였다. 이에 더하여 이들 설계관련요소의 표준편차를 설계일관성으로 정의하고 교통사고의 증감과 비교하여 봄으로써 표준편차로 특징 지워지는 설계요소와 설계속도의 일관성이 교통사고 발생과 상관성이 깊다는 사실을 도출하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 선형설계과정에서 설계일관성의 수치화된 활용을 더 활성화시킬 것으로 기대된다.

여성기성복 소비자의 의복만족도에 관한연구 -신장 165cm 이상의 여대생 중심으로- (A Study on Clothing Satisfaction of the Ready to Wear Garment for Women - focused on over 165cm in height-)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out some of the problems consumers have with ready to wear garments sizing and clothing satisfaction the following women's garments; sweaters T-shirts blouses jackets pants skirts one-piece jumpers and burberry(coats). For this study questionnaires were administered to female students in community college. Employing a sample of 166 students data were analyzed by Frequencies X2-test t-test ANOVA Factor Analysis and Regression. Major results of this study were summerized as follows: 1) Purchasing clothing subjects considered mainly bust circumference for T-shirts and blouse shoulder width for jackets and jumpers hip circumference for pants and skirts and length for sweaters(knit) one-piece and burberry(coats) as a reference of fitting sites. 2) In relation with dissatisfaction with apparel fit hip circumference of pants including jeans was found as the most unsatisfactory site. Besides subjects were dissatisfied with skirts sweaters one-piece jackets blouses burberry(coats) jumpers T-shirts in order. In relateion with height and body type were most dissatisfied with pants(jeans) 3) Factors related to clothing deprivation of ready-to-wear garment were identified as aethetics elements practical elements economic elements and fittness elements. Fittness elements were most dissatisfied factors with all items of garments except for skirts.

  • A data registry is a physical place to keep characteristics of classes of objects exist in the real world when they are chosen to record as data. It provides a centralized directory to describe the meaning, representation, and identification of data elements and their values. It assists to prevent redundancy and to preserve common understanding about the data described in a metadata set. In this paper, we investigate and classify various components of IBS(Intelligent Building Systems), specially HVAC in Building Automation Systems. We present IBSDR(Intelligent Building Systems Data Registry) model that specifies not only the detailed information on data elements but also the process of documenting data in IBS. It functions as the medium to create the data sharing environment to maintain exact meaning of data for every data elements so that database management designers or related users can create and exchange their DB without major modification. It also serves as a clearinghouse for information about IBS data. So all users can freely retrieve from and register data elements to IBSDR based on ISO/IEC 11179 through World Wide Web.

Serum Levels of Trace Elements in Patients with Prostate Cancer

  • Background: Trace elements are major components of biological structures; however, excessive levels of these elements can be toxic. Materials and Methods: In the present study, serum levels of trace elements were measured in 30 patients with newly diagnosed as prostate cancer and 32 healthy volunteer by using furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Results: It was found that there was an increase in serum levels of Co, Cu, Mg and Pb (p<0.05), whereas a decrease in serum levels of Fe, Mn, and Zn levels in patients with prostate cancer (p<0.05). Conclusions: These changes may be important in the pathogenesis of prostate cancers; however, further prospective studies are needed to identify relationships between prostate cancer and trace elements.

  • The importance of a proper sample preparation and analysis technique has getting attention due to the complicity of toxic elements of interest from environmental samples depend on analytical purposes. It is critical to use proper analytical method to evaluate trace elements concentration in many environmental samples especially for making remediation decisions. Therefore, it is critical to apply a proper sampling and analytical method such as EPA publication SW-846 (Test Methods for Evaluating Solid Waste, Physical/chemical Methods). The objective of this study was to compare the USEPA Methods 3050B, modified 3050B, 305 la, and KBSI method (modified EPA 3052 Method) in term of recovery rate of metals. The NIST SRM (Montana soil) was used to compare the extraction and digestion efficiency. After sample has been collected the analysis were achieved by ICP-MS (Elan 6100, Perkin Elmer) as well as ICP-AES (Ultima 2C, JY) for trace elements and major elements.
