  • Seoul Metro railway facilities' inspection and maintenance tasks cause failure analysis, but if there is trouble the diverse cause investigation and the systematic analysis and management among broken facilities, related facilities and components fell short and the conditions are different. And, excess and insufficiency, under inspection and maintenance, is being raised regardless of the introduction year and the operating environment including the number of use by applying the same facilities in the uniform inspection cycle. In this study, we will analysis systematically facility system information, failures, operational status, performance, fault and maintenance information resulting from the maintenance management of railway facilities and derive the relationship between associated equipment and its components. In addition, optimizing the inspection and the maintenance cycles of railway facilities, we will improve the reliability of operation. Considering the probability of risk, it is possible to predict the occurrence of accidents or faults and to minimize the frequency of breakdown by pre-inspection maintenance. Finally, This paper is to introduce the content of constructing the Seoul Metro RCM-based failure analysis system for railway facilities to support the optimal continuance of operation status of equipments and the securement of the safe operation of vehicles.

  • The inspection periods for the metro EMU maintenances vary variously according to the countries and railway operators. And the inspection systems vary according to the safety, economical, technical aspects, and also the social environments like passengers and maintenance qualities, etc. Also, in economic point of view, maintenance requires the man power, facilities, equipments, purchasing of parts and the loss of not being in revenue service during the maintenance period. Recently, there is a tendency that the inspection periods are extended gradually owing to the increased reliabilities of the equipments and parts of EMUs. Even if it is the EMUs that are already be in service, once the inspection method is innovated, the inspection time can be reduced. The inspection management innovation scheme includes such methods as the complete module to module replacement when trouble shooting a faulty parts before putting the EMU back to revenue service, the replacements of parts in complete set unit for the heavy maintenance, the establishments of exchange periods for the wasting parts, modernization of inspection equipments, introduction of RAMS for the reliability improvement and computerization of EMU maintenance management, etc. I think it is possible to optimize the inspection scopes and periods per parts and equipments by the introduction of RAMS.

  • Latest development of ICT makes building, including houses, factories and public facilities, more intelligent and automatized. It follows that a wide variety of electric and ICT installations are adopted along with micro electronic equipments. Corresponding to such changes, the frequency of lightning increases due to the abnormal climate. The major damage by lightning surge is disconnection and malfunction of facilities. It is necessary, therefore, to make a regulation of inspection and maintenance for lightning protection facilities. This paper deals with main issues of a regulation draft of inspection and maintenance for lightning protection facilities based on IEC 62305

  • In these days, we are facing the needs of the times that the product have to be converted from quantity to quality. Most companys now pay more attention to maximize efficiency of facilities with introducing high priced equipments, those equipments are too automated and electronic that partial failure or short time stop leads to the stop of producing process in the whole factory. Consequently, effective maintenance management of production equipment becomes a only solution against problems. This thesis develops a preventive maintenance software that grasp a failure sign through daily inspection with management item, Machine-Capability index and estimate a trend, determine the time of preventive maintenance. The software is useful to the plant operator in analyzing information easily and controlling preventive maintenance operations efficiently.

  • The building HVAC systems have very different qualities of performance and durability with the superintendent's ability for management and maintenance. The poor management of these systems finally lead to the shortening of the life expectancy and result in the increase of operating costs and energy consumptions due to low efficiencies. So it is essential to try to develop ways to adequately maintain and to use the building facilities efficiently in order to preserve earth environment and the limited resource. In this study, the LCC based numerical calculation package will be developed for the efficient maintenance plan and the determination of the reasonable time of repair or replacement of equipments.

  • In several years, the geographic information system has been being applied into various departments, i.e. estate, transportation, prevention against disasters, agriculture, environment, etc. Especially, it is very useful for us to manage the infrastructures of urban transit which are scattered and located in the vast areas of city. But, in the 2D geographic information system, it is impossible to manage the various inner facilities of stations which are in the same spatial location on GIS. Then, the 3D station management system has been developed for the efficient management of station facilities in urban transit. Through this system, from the virtual cyberspace of station on PC, we can move and go to any places of station we want without going to the station fields. So, we can manage the various information of location information, basis information, maintenance information about the inner facilities such as architectural structures, machinery facilities, electronic equipments. And, this system is also connected with the drawings and technical documents in each facilities. So, we're sure, this system will improve the efficiency of maintenance work and information management of stations.

학교건물의 정보통신기반시설 계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Planning of Telecommunications Infrastructure for Educational Buildings)

  • High-speed telecommunication has brought variety of changes in every field of the world at large. In the field of education, use of multimedia has been positively introduced as teaching and learning tools. In addition, introduction of remote education as well as information and communication technology (ICT) has led an educational system gone into melting pot. These changes have known to be impossible without the provision of the infrastructure of telecommunications such as cabling, cable pathway, telecommunication equipments, and space for the equipments. Although the infrastructure of telecommunications should be fully considered from the early stage of the building design, most of the existing buildings have only cabling for voice communication such as telephone. As a result, heavy expenses are required for the installation of new telecommunication equipments. Such problems as defilement of the appearance of the building and a falling-off in reliability of telecommunication line are caused by the exposed cabling, when the cabling pathway and/or the space for the equipments are not reserved. Considering over 70% of error in telecommunication is coming from the cabling in building, it is necessary to reserve the space for efficient maintenance of the cabling and the equipments. In recent years, the national standard(TTAS.KO-04.0005) on the reservation of space for telecommunication cabling and equipments in residential and commercial building is established and applied for the building design. As well, the standard is in force for the educational buildings. In this study, we try to provide the guidelines for the design of telecommunications infrastructure in educational buildings for the purpose of efficient operation of education information and ICT.

  • 공동주택환경과 기간통신사업자의 서비스 제공 방식에 따라 광단국 및 광분배장비를 집중구내통신실과 동 지하에 설치하여 여러 서비스를 제공하지만 장비설치를 위한 공간확보와 케이블을 추가 포설하기 위한 예비배관확보를 위하여 서비스 제공 사업자사이에 분쟁이 심화되고 있다. 이러한 사항은 사업자들이 가입자 확보에만 치우치고 유지관리에는 소홀하며 또한 공동주택이 사유지임에도 불구하고 각 사업자들이 투자한 설비는 사업자의 자산임을 내세워 타인이 건드릴 수 없도록 하고 있기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공동주택을 대상으로 여러 통신사업자와 방송사업자가 서비스하는 종류와 방법, 유지관리 실태, 문제점 등을 현장 실태조사를 통해 살펴보고 정보통신부에서 관리하는 정보통신공사업법과 전기통신기본법, 홈네트워크 등 기술기준, 건설교통부에서 관리하고 있는 주택법, 건축법, 주택건설기준등에 관한규정 등 여러 법령과의 관계를 분석하여 일정규모의 공동주택환경에서는 정보통신설비의 유지관리 제도가 의무화되어, 이용자가 안전하게 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 개선 필요성을 제시하고자 한다.

주택용 태양광발전설비의 유지관리 효과 분석 (Maintenance-Effectiveness Analysis of Photovoltaic Equipment for Detached Houses)

  • 정부의 신재생에너지에 대한 지원으로 태양광발전설비의 보급이 급속하게 증가하고 있다. 그러나 보급량에 비해서 유지관리에 대한 지원이나 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 대규모 발전시설은 유지관리가 이루어지고 있지만, 주택용과 같은 소형 설비는 유지관리가 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 주택용 태양광발전설비를 중심으로 유지관리의 효과를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 주택용 태양광발전설비의 유지관리는 거의 이루어지지 않는 것으로 조사되었다. 유지관리의 효과 중에서 가장 중요한 것은 발전량의 증가이다. 주택용 태양광발전설비의 유지관리가 이루어진다면, 발전량이 최소 6.5% 정도 증가할 것으로 예측되었다. 이것은 주택용 태양광발전설비를 약 9,700세대에 추가로 보급한 것과 같은 효과와 같다. 따라서 태양광발전설비에 대한 유지관리를 통하여 정부예산 투자의 효과를 극대화할 필요성이 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

API-581에 의한 정성적 위험기반검사(RBI) 프로그램 개발 (Development of Program for Qualitative Risk Based Inspection (RBI) using API-581)

  • Industrial facilities are becoming more complex and various with rapidly developing technologies. A number of installations and equipments are increased to improve productivity, and they are operated under the condition of high temperature and pressure. They are continuously repaired, replaced or abolished because of the deterioration with time, but their repair and replacement are not easy for economical and environmental concerns. If possible, the deteriorating equipments should be inspected and repaired effectively considering the state of maintenance and preservation, economic efficiency, and safety. That's where RBI(Risk Based Inspection) fits in. Even if RBI technology has been known among specialists, there were no tools readily available and it was hard to practice and apply RBI in industrial inspection and safety management. In the development of the qualitative RBI, the overall algorithm adopted API-581 BRD. The qualitative RBI program was developed to search the appling process.
