Inhibitory Abilities of Bacillus Isolates and Their Culture Filtrates against the Gray Mold Caused by Botrytis cinerea on Postharvest Fruit

  • Botrytis cinerea, a major phytopathogenic fungus, has been reported to infect more than 200 crop species worldwide, and it causes massive losses in yield. The aim of this study was to evaluate the inhibitory abilities and effects of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens RS-25, Bacillus licheniformis MG-4, Bacillus subtilis Z-14, and Bacillus subtilis Pnf-4 and their culture filtrates and extracts against the gray mold caused by B. cinerea on postharvest tomato, strawberry, and grapefruit. The results revealed that the cells of Z-14, culture filtrate of RS-25, and cells of Z-14 showed the strongest biocontrol activity against the gray mold on the strawberry, grape, and tomato fruit, respectively. All the strains produced volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and the VOCs of Pnf-4 displayed the highest inhibition values. Based on headspace solid-phase microextraction in combination with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, esters accounted for the largest percentage of the VOCs produced by RS-25, MG-4, Z-14, and Pnf-4 (36.80%, 29.58%, 30.78%, and 36.26%, respectively). All the strains showed potent cellulase and protease activities, but no chitinase activity. RS-25, Z-14, and MG-4, but not Pnf-4, grew on chrome azurol S agar, and an orange halo was formed around the colonies. All the strains showed biofilm formation, fruit colonization, and lipopeptide production, which may be the main modes of action of the antagonists against B. cinerea on the fruit. This study provides the basis for developing natural biocontrol agents against the gray mold caused by B. cinerea on postharvest fruit.

  • 2000년대 이후의 한국 드라마는 새로운 서사적 가능성을 지속적으로 실험하고 있다. 특히 최근의 한국 드라마에는 다양한 양태의 혼종과 혼합, 그리고 변형의 시도가 나타난다. 그러므로 본 연구는 2010년대애 대중적으로 성공한 드라마를 통해 문학과 드라마의 통섭을 검토하고자 한다. 본 연구는 김은숙 작가의 <쓸쓸하고 찬란하신(神) 도깨비>와 <신사의 품격>을 통해 드라마 내에서 문학 텍스트가 어떻게 활용되며, 이로써 어떠한 서사적, 영상적 효과를 얻어내는가를 세밀히 검토한다. 이 두 편의 드라마는 한국 내에서 대중적으로 성공한 드라마일 뿐만 아니라, 문학 텍스트를 드라마 내에서 적극적으로 활용하고 있어 문학과 드라마 통섭을 해석하는 데에 중요한 시사점을 제시한다. 이는 문학이 드라마와 통섭하는 주요한 장면을 해석하고, 그 의의를 파악하는 과정이다. 이 연구를 통해 드라마라는 영상 텍스트가 문자 텍스트의 한 부분을 차용하고, 그 물질성으로서의 '책'을 활용함으로써 스토리텔링의 효과를 얻어내는 과정을 해석한다. 이로써 다양한 장르가 하나의 영상 텍스트 내에 혼합되고 병치되는 양상과 그 효과를 확인하게 될 것이다.

저항 점 용접된 TRIP590강의 계면파단특성에 관한 평가 (Evaluation of Resistance Spot Weld Interfacial Fractures in Tensile-Shear Tests of TRIP 590 Steels)

  • The resistance spot welding of TRIP590 steels was investigated to enhance understanding of weld fracture during tensile-shear strength (TSS) test. The main failure modes for spot welds of TRIP590 steels were nugget pullout and interfacial fracture. The peak load to cause a weld interfacial failure was found to be related to fracture toughness of the weld and the weld diameter. Although interfacial fracture occurred in the samples, the load carrying capacity of the weld was high and not significantly affected by the fracture mode. Substantial part of the weld exhibits the characteristic dimple (or elongated dimple) fractures on interfacial fractured surface, in spite of the high hardness values associated with the martensite microstructures. The high load-bearing ability of the weld is directly associated with the area of ductile fracture occurred in weld. Therefore, the judgment of the quality of resistance spot welds in TRIP590 steels, the load carrying capacity of the weld should be considered as an important factor than fracture mode.

지하철 역사 내 코로나 바이러스 저감을 위한 이온풍 집진기 개발 (Development of an ionic wind dust collector towards coronavirus reduction in subway stations)

  • Since 2019, the corona virus has been continuously affect human life. In particular, in the indoor space where people live, infection by airborne transmission of viruses is a problem. Among them, the spread in the subway, which is the main mode of transport for humans, can be serious. To solve this problem, our research team developed an ionic wind collector to collect and remove corona virus using an ionic wind collector and ozone. In order to apply the ionic wind collector to the subway, it must operate in two modes. Because large amounts of ozone are harmful to the human body. There is a mode that collects bio-aerosol from the air using ionic wind and a mode that inactivates viruses floating in the air by generating a large amount of ozone. As the applied voltage increased, the cleaning ability of the ionic wind collector increased, and the farther the distance between the discharge electrode and the ground plate, the higher the cleaning ability even at low current. In addition, clean air delivery rate (CADR) of an ionic wind collector was up to 5.5 m3/min. As a result of measuring the amount of ozone generated, it was confirmed that 50 ppb to 250 ppb was generated, and it was confirmed that ozone generation was controllable in the ionic wind dust collector.

  • 본 논문에서는 한반도 주변의 미세먼지 관측 임무를 위한 3U 큐브위성인 MIMAN 설계안을 제시하였다. MIMAN의 주요 임무 목표는 높은 공간 해상도로 한반도 주변의 미세먼지를 관측하는 것이다. 이를 통해 천리안위성 2B호 데이터에서 구름을 제거할 수 있는 보조 자료를 제공하는 것이 최종 목표이다. 본 연구에서는 임무를 정의하고 임무 요구조건 및 제한 조건을 도출하였다. 운용 개념을 정의하였으며, 안정적인 운용을 위해 통신 안정성을 고려하였다. 위성에 문제가 생겼을 경우, 이를 지상에서 해결할 수 있도록 모든 운용 모드에서 UHF 통신이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 임무와 운용 개념 설계 결과를 바탕으로 시스템 설계안을 도출하였다. 시스템 요구조건을 만족시킬 수 있는 시스템 설계안 및 인터페이스를 제시하였다. 시스템 인터페이스의 경우 각 하드웨어의 데이터 특성을 고려하여 설계하였다. 시스템 버짓 분석을 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 시스템 안정성을 확인하였다.

Design and experimental characterization of a novel passive magnetic levitating platform

  • This work proposes a novel contactless vibration damping and thermal isolation tripod platform based on Superconducting Magnetic Levitation (SML). This prototype is suitable for cryogenic environments, where classical passive, semi active and active vibration isolation techniques may present tribological problems due to the low temperatures and/or cannot guarantee an enough thermal isolation. The levitating platform consists of a Superconducting Magnetic Levitation (SML) with inherent passive static stabilization. In addition, the use of Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) technique is proposed to characterize the transmissibility function from the baseplate to the platform. The OMA is based on the Stochastic Subspace Identification (SSI) by using the Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm. This paper contributes to the use of SSI-EM for SML applications by proposing a step-by-step experimental methodology to process the measured data, which are obtained with different unknown excitations: ambient excitation and impulse excitation. Thus, the performance of SSI-EM for SML applications can be improved, providing a good estimation of the natural frequency and damping ratio without any controlled excitation, which is the main obstacle to use an experimental modal analysis in cryogenic environments. The dynamic response of the 510 g levitating platform has been characterized by means of OMA in a cryogenic, 77 K, and high vacuum, 1E-5 mbar, environment. The measured vertical and radial stiffness are 9872.4 N/m and 21329 N/m, respectively, whilst the measured vertical and radial damping values are 0.5278 Nm/s and 0.8938 Nm/s. The first natural frequency in vertical direction has been identified to be 27.39 Hz, whilst a value of 40.26 Hz was identified for the radial direction. The determined damping values for both modes are 0.46% and 0.53%, respectively.

군집화 기반 정상상태 식별을 활용한 시스템 에어컨의 냉매 충전량 분류 모델 개발 (Development of Classification Model on SAC Refrigerant Charge Level Using Clustering-based Steady-state Identification)

  • 냉매 오충전은 에어컨에서 빈번하게 발생하는 고장 모드 중 하나로, 적정 충전량 대비 부족 및 과충전 모두 냉방 성능의 저하를 유발하므로 충전된 냉매량을 정확하게 판단하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 퍼지 군집화 기법을 통한 정상상태 식별을 통해 냉매 오충전량을 다중 분류하는 모델을 개발하였다. 정상상태 식별을 위해 에어컨 운전 데이터에 대해 이동 평균 간의 차이를 활용한 퍼지 군집화 알고리즘을 적용하였으며, IFDR를 통해 기존 연구된 정상상태 판단 기법들과 식별 결과를 비교하였다. 이후, 시스템 내 상관성을 고려한 mRMR을 이용해 특징을 선택하였으며, 도출된 특징을 이용해 SVM 기반의 다중 분류 모델이 생성되었다. 제안된 방법은 시험 데이터를 통해 만족할 만한 분류 정확도와 강건성을 도출하였다.

Low-velocity impact performance of the carbon/epoxy plates exposed to the cyclic temperature

  • The mechanical properties of polymeric composites are degraded under elevated temperatures due to the effect of temperature on the mechanical behavior of the resin and resin fiber interfaces. In this study, the effect of temperature on the impact response of the carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) was investigated at low-velocity impact (LVI) using a drop-weight impact tester machine. All the composite plates were fabricated using a vacuum infusion process with a stacking sequence of [45/0_2/-45/90_2]s, and a thickness of 2.9 mm. A group of the specimens was exposed to an environment with a temperature cycling at the range of -30 ℃ to 65 ℃. In addition, three other groups of the specimens were aged at ambient (28 ℃), -30 ℃, and 65 ℃ for ten days. Then all the conditioned specimens were subjected to LVI at three energy levels of 10, 15, and 20 J. To assess the behavior of the damaged composite plates, the force-time, force-displacement, and energy-time diagrams were analyzed at all temperatures. Finally, radiography, optical microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to evaluate the effect of the temperature and damages at various impact levels. Based on the results, different energy levels have a similar effect on the LVI behavior of the samples at various temperatures. Delamination, matrix cracking, and fiber failure were the main damage modes. Compared to the samples tested at room temperature, the reduction of temperature to -30 ℃ enhanced the maximum impact force and flexural stiffness while decreasing the absorbed energy and the failure surface area. The temperature increasing to 65 ℃ increased the maximum impact force and flexural stiffness while decreasing the absorbed energy and the failure surface area. Applying 200 thermal cycles at the range of -30 ℃ to 65 ℃ led to the formation of fine cracks in the matrix while decreasing the absorbed energy. The maximum contact force is recorded under cyclic temperature as 5.95, 6.51 and 7.14 kN, under impact energy of 10, 15 and 20 J, respectively. As well as, the minimum contact force belongs to the room temperature condition and is reported as 3.93, 4.94 and 5.71 kN, under impact energy of 10, 15 and 20 J, respectively.

수상운송로로서 한강의 이용가능성에 관한 연구 (On the Availability of Han river as Water Transport Route)

  • Because of the rapid growing traffic volumes of cargo, especially between Seoul and Inchon, and lack of investment into transport infrastructure in the past, in Kyong-in area have suffered from the serious traffic congestion in the public-road and the express-way network, But the further expansion of the traffic volume in near future is difficult due to burden of the higher expansion of the traffic volume in near future is difficult due to burden of the higher construction cost. Although the traffic congestion on the Kyung-in railway, is not very serious comparing with the road sector, the shortage of capacity on some main lines becomes emerged as a problem as railway traffic has increased. Unlike these two modes, the water transport, which has been paid relatively less attention for commodity transport in Kyong-in area, has not any constaint in this respect. Han river has been used as a water transport route in Chosun Dynasty which is called Cho-wun. This paper therefore aims to propose the availability of Han river as the alternative water transportation mode, in order to decrease the congestion between Seoul-Inchon by considering the construction of Kyong-in artificial water channel in near future. In this paper, we investigate the availability of Nanji-do as the physical distribution depot connecting with the circulation express way in the national capital distribution depot connecting with the circulation express way in the national capital. We also estimate the traffic volume by using the push-barge carrier (300DWT) in the same channel through the simulation under some assumptions such as ship's turnaround time, speed, etc.

탄소 복합재-알루미늄 단일겹침 접착 체결부의 강도에 관한 인자연구 (A Parametric Study on the Strength of Single-Lap Bonded Joints of Carbon Composite and Aluminum)

  • 본 논문에서는 탄소 복합재와 알루미늄으로 구성된 이종재료 단일겹침 접착 체결부에서, 파손하중에 영향을 미치는 주요인자들의 효과를 실험적으로 연구하였다. 실험을 위해 접착압력 4가지(2, 3, 4, 6기압), 겹침길이 6가지(15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 mm), 모재 두께 2가지(1.58, 3.01 mm)에 대한 시편 총 66개를 제작하였다. 실험 결과 접착제 FM73에 대해 제작사에서 제시한 접착압력은 약 3기압이었지만 본 연구에서 사용한 이종재료 접착의 경우, 최소 4기압 이상의 접착압력이 필요함을 확인하였다. 겹침길이를 증가시킬 경우 파손하중이 증가하지만 접착부의 폭과 길이의 비가 1을 넘어갈 경우 접착강도 즉 단위 접착면적당의 파손하중의 증가는 크지 않았다. 모재의 두께도 접착부 파손하중 및 강도에 큰 영향을 미쳤으며 모재의 두께가 약 2배로 증가할 때 접착강도는 $12{\sim}32%$까지 증가하였다. 접착부의 파손은 대부분 복합재 모재의 층간분리 형태로 발생하였으며, 접착압력이 높아질수록, 접착길이가 길어질수록 층간분리가 발생하는 위치가 적층판 내부로 깊게 확대되는 경향이 있다.
