The purpose of this study is to ascertain librarian's perceptions on their users' library access and its patterns. Interviews with seven library staff reveal physical accessibility issues including spatial relationships between libraries and other facilities such as shopping malls and schools, travel distance, transportation mode, and temporal perspectives of library access. The results from the interviews corroborate the findings from secondary analysis using household travel data. However, interviewees do not have a clear picture of how much their users travel and spend to access their libraries. This is true, even though these factors are critical to analyze physical accessibility. Based on the findings, this study makes recommendations to improve the accessibility of public libraries. Suggestions include the concept of sponsorships with other facilities, the placing of material drop-boxes on the main route, and providing library programs during lunch time.
The study was conducted to investigate the dietary behaviors and lifestyles of Korean university students and Chinese international students in the Jeonbuk area. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 241 Korean university students and 198 Chinese international students. Statistical data analysis was completed using SPSS v. 12.0. Breakfast-skipping among subjects was very common, and the most frequently given reason for skipping this meal was 'lack of time'. More than 85% of Korean male students and 75% of Korean female students reported regularly eating lunch in university canteens or restaurants around campus, whereas 86% of Chinese male students and 82% of Chinese female students regularly ate their lunches in university canteens or at home. About 62% of Korean male students, 72% of Korean female students, 48% of Chinese male students, and 70% of Chinese female students responded that they do not regularly eat dinner, the main reasons cited for this being 'irregularity of lifestyle' and 'part-time work'. Snack intake by the subjects was high. Beverages were the snack item most frequently consumed by Korean and Chinese male students, whereas cookies and fruits were most frequently consumed by Korean and Chinese female students. About 28% of Korean male students and 44% of Chinese male students were smokers, respectively. Half of Chinese female students drank alcohol once or twice a week. About 42% of Korean male students and 65% of Chinese male students played sports, respectively. Dietary behaviors and lifestyles of Korean and Chinese students tended to be very similar. Chinese students performed more health-oriented activities in comparison to Korean students. In conclusion, a practical and foreigner-friendly nutritional education program should be devised in order to correct the dietary behaviors and health-related lifestyles of Korean and Chinese students.
We studied teachers' breakfast habits and their preferences on various breakfast types so that we will furnish data to nutrition education including ideal breakfast habit and development of various menus. The meal considered as most importantly were dinner (66.2%), fellowed by lunch(21.6%), all three meals(6.4%) and breakfast(5.8%). Men considered breakfast more importantly than women. On the contrary, women considered dinner more significantly compared to men. The group aged 45 and over emphasized breakfast and all three meal. 78.1% of subjects answered that breakfast is necessary and 61.5% of subjects ate breakfast regularly. Those who have breakfast regularly was lower in women(50.0%) than in men(71.3%). Instead, those who eat breakfast irregularly or skipping it was higher among women(50.0%) than among men(29.7%). The percentages of having breakfast regularly was higher in older groups. For breakfast, 82.1% of subjects had conventional meal which included rice, soup and Kimch. On the other hand, 13.9% of subjects had Western style breakfast such as bread, cornflakes and milk. The major reason for eating breakfast regularly was answered as 'maintain health(71.8%)'. The major reason for eating breakfast irregularly or skipping was 'don't have enough time to eat(48.0%)', 'poor appetite(28.6%)'. The major physical discomfort after skipping breakfast was 'experience brash(35.6%)', 'lack of physical strength(35.1%)'. Subjects answered that breakfast served as 'source of physical strength(64.9%)', 'provides nutritional balance for a day(21.1%)' and 15.0% of subjects ate out breakfast. Therefore, it is suggested that teachers as well as school children be provided breakfast and snack in school. The preference and opinion regarding breakfast types wer conventional food including rice, soup and Kimch(67.0%). There was a little preference in Western style food such as bread, milk and coffee(14.3%), cereals mixture and porridge(10.7%). It was noticeable that 49.1% of females and those who reside in Seoul(42.2%) selected various breakfast types excluding conventional food. Therefore it will be accepted to working women as breakfast if it is nutritionally balanced and cook well in short time.
This study was performed to provide fundamental data on the dietary life according to the acculturation degree. The subject was 305 Chinese students in South Korea region. The questionnaire respondents are consisted of 148 male students (48.5%) and 157 female students (51.5%). There was a statistically significant difference in age, education level, residence time, and Korean language ability according to acculturation degree (p<0.05), but there was no statistically significant difference in gender, residence pattern, purpose of coming to Korea. There was a statistically significant difference between meals frequency, outside frequency, and the intake of Chinese food according to acculturation degree (p<0.05), but there was no significant difference in snake taking frequency (p>0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in drinks and computer time according to acculturation degree (p<0.05), but there was no statistically significant difference between smoking and exercise (p>0.05). The food intake style of Chinese students was 2.47 in noodles, 2.34 in lunches and 2.15 in breads. According to the acculturation degree, the food intake patterns showed statistically significant differences in dumping kind, congee, hamburger and pizza, while meat products, smoked meat, noodle, lunch, cereal, kimbap, sandwich. And there was no significant difference. The correlation between the factors influencing the acculturation degree of Chinese students showed a statistically significant effect on dietary habits, food intake, education level, residence period, and Korean language ability.

In this study, data on traffic volume and weight of small trucks were collected from three National Highways to identify the overload status of small trucks excluded from domestic overloaded vehicle enforcement. These data were classified according to the vehicle type, day of the week, and time of day to analyze the overload distributions by the vehicle total weight. From the analysis results by vehicle type, on average, the overload ratios for trucks of 1.5 tons or less, 2.5 tons or less, 3.5 tons or less were 6.2%, 31.7%, and 13.7%, respectively. In addition, for the same vehicle model, there was a difference by collection point, and the smaller the total weight of the small truck, the higher the overload ratio. From the results according to the day of the week, there was no tendency for the overload ratio to appear high on a specific day, but there was a predictable occurrence pattern at each site. In addition, from the results by the time of day, the overload ratio was the highest on average after lunch (13:00-15:59) at all sites.
The purpose of this study is to examine female baby boomers' dietary habits and their attitudes together with their needs for future perspectives of dietary life. Our aim is to use these findings as a basic data when forecasting for food-related industries or policy making. A survey is being carried out for a total of 358 female baby boomers and analyzed by SPSS 12.0. The following is a summary of this study. The average age is 52.6 years old, most of them graduated from highschool (63.1%) and had a nuclear type of family (76.1%). Only 39.0% is composed of housewives, others had either full-time or part-time jobs. Self-assessment of stress is not so high and only 8.1% are dissatisfied with their lives. 38.2% are either overweight or obese in terms of BMI, and most of them are non-smokers (97.2%) or non-drinkers (63.0%). Their mean dietary habit scores are $70.6{\pm}11.8$, and the scores show significant relations with their education levels (p<0.01), monthly income (p<0.01), life satisfaction rates (p<0.001), stress levels (p<0.001), smoking habits (p<0.05), drinking habits (p<0.05), regular exercises (p<0.001) and regular health check-ups (p<0.05). The rate of skipping breakfast, lunch and dinner are 18.2%, 1.1%, 5.2% respectively. The main reason for skipping breakfast is the 'lack of time'. With regards to the frequency of grocery shopping, almost half of the subjects (55.7%) said '1~2 times per week' and bought mainly raw food sources such as vegetables, fruits, and meats. The majority of the subjects (91.3%) report that they cooked meals at homes, and took about 1 hour of time. The subjects also point out that cooking was a bothering task, and only 46.4% would prepare meals at home, while others would rather eat out or eat convenience foods. The main reasons for not wanting meal services in the elderly welfare facility are because they didn't want to live such places (48.4%) and the meals are tasteless (31.3%). As for delivery meal services, 60.1% are aware of it, and 39.9% would consider using it in the future. Factors to be considered when using the delivery meal service are sanitation (43.7%), nutrition (28.7%), taste (18.4%), price (6.3%), and brand name (2.9%). This study is expected to be used as useful information when developing food-related strategies for baby boomers in the future.

We studied about dietary habits and obesity of the culinary college students, the average age of male subject was 20.4 years, female 19.8years, male height 174.0cm, female 162.6 cm, body weight of male 71.4 kg, female 60.3 kg. Average body fat% of male was 20.5%, that of female was 30.2%, their average body fat% was at the range of overweight. Most subjects were not satisfied with their body weight and seemed to have ideal body shape as standard and lean. 51.6% of male and 35.2% of female students did not eat breakfast. Male students ratio of eating lunch every day was 41.7%, that of female was 27.0%, male students ratio of eating dinner every day was 54.8%, that of female was 35.5%. They liked to eat meal as rice type and 1-2day per week, they used to eat night snack. The first cause of not eating meal was lack of time. Under stress 56 % of male eated as much as usual, 58.7% of female eated more than usual.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate food behavior in relation to the program of kindergarten and day care center as well as to identify problems which can be aroused there. We conducted the survey repeatedly, ten times among same 124 preschool children below 5 years old. The instruments were categorized into 3 different parts: part 1 for pre-meal food behavior, part 2 for mid-meal food behavior, and part 3 for after-meal food behavior. These were types of checklists which consisted of guideline of habit formation for daily life, especially food habit were developed on the basis of the National Kindergarten Curriculum. We Have reached the following results. $\circled1$ The group of below 3 year-old children had lunch and snacks more frequently than other age groups. $\circled2$ The children's age did playa role as one of the factors which influences on children's food behavior. The less frequency of taking meals in day care center the better their food behavior score. $\circled3$ Therefore, the age of children whose age is 3 or Jess spent more (of day) time at care center and had significantly more number of meals and snack at the care center. In such case, the food behavior was found to be not in good shape. I-ence, the children who were more exposed to feeding meal in kindergarten and day care center, were like to form unfavorable food behavior. The average food behavior score is significantly correlated with pre-mea, mid-meal, and post-meal food behavior. The study suggested that feeding program for young children at kindergarten and day care center should be systematized and developed on the basis of the status of their food behavior.
This study was conducted to investigate the dietary behavior and health-related lifestyles of university students in Incheon arear Self administered questionnaires were collected ken 179 food and nutrition major and non-major students. Statistical data analysis was completed using a SPSS v.10.0 program. The results are summarized as follows: The average weight, height, BMI and PIBW of the major and non-major male and female students were 69.89kg, 172.89cm, 23.4 and 106.49 ; 67.27kg, 173.98cm, 22.2 and 101.35 ; 50.61kg, 161.20cm, 19.53 and 92.25 ; 53.77kg, 161.53cm, 20.56 and 97.18, respectively. The breakfast skipping ratio of the subjects were very high, which was mainly due to the reason“lack of time”More than 75% of male students and 61% of female students responded to have lunch at university canteens or restaurants around campus regularly. About 56% of male students and 68% of female students responded to have dinner irregularly, which mainly caused by the reasons“irregularity of lecture”and “appointment with friends”. The ratio of snacks intake of the subjects were high; Ramyun was the snack item taken the most by the male students and fruits and cookies by the female ones. More than 50% male students and 2% of female students were smokers. A half of students dunk alcohol once or twice a week. The dietary behaviors and health-related lifestyles between major and non-major male students tended to be very similar. The major female students showed more health-oriented dietary behaviors in comparison with the non-major ones. Therefore, they should have a major-oriented and practically organized nutritional education program to correct their dietary behaviors and health-related lifestyles fur health.

Purpose : This study was conducted to improve cognitive oral healthcare care by analyzing the correlation between oral health behavior and oral health status Korean adolescents. The subjects were 65,528 youths in 798 schools monitored in the Twelfth Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey in 2016. Methods : The general characteristics consisted of 9 items including sex, grade, and academic performance. The academic performance and economic status were restructured into "upper, middle, lower". Subjective health perception and subjective oral health perception were reorganized as "health", "normal", "no health". The sub-areas of oral health behavior include five times of daily brushing during the day yesterday. The number of brushing times was "0", "1-2", "3", "more than 4" After lunch at school, brushing was restructured as "always," "sometimes," "not." The oral health status subscale consisted of 6 items including tooth breakage and toothache at the time of eating. Result : Tooth fracture(43.7 %), pain in mastication(43.7 %), tooth tingling(47.4 %), gum pain and bleeding(45 %), pain in buccal mucosa(43.8 %) and halitosis(46.6 %) were rare in adolescent having healthy oral health status cognitively(P<.001). Nosymptom adolescents without dental sealant showed low tooth fracture(0.64 times), pain in mastication(0.67 times), tooth tingling(0.59 times), gum pain and bleeding(0.84 times), pain in buccal mucosa(0.76 times), and halitosis(0.90 times). Nosymptom adolescents without scaling showed low tooth fracture(0.88 times), pain in mastication(1.03 times), tooth tingling(0.82 times), gum pain and bleeding(0.64 times), pain in buccal mucosa(0.70 times) and halitosis(0.82 times). Conclusion : This study revealed that oral health status is correlated with oral health behavior. Development of educational media and program, and aggressive promotion required to establish oral health Korean adolescent.
