서울시 매입임대주택 거주자 특성 및 정책효과 실증분석 (The Effect of Housing Policy on Purchased Public Housing in Seoul)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of residents for purchased public housing in Seoul, using empirical panel data. The scope of the study will be targeted at the Seoul, as of 2017. The research method includes literature review, statistical analysis, and spatial analysis using QGIS software program. The data used in the research is the Panel Survey of Public Housing in Seoul(2017). The main results of the research are briefly summarized as follows; Firstly, Living in a housing with an increased area compared to the previous housing. Secondly, they can live for a long time with low rent. The burden on housing costs is 71.8% in the case of the deposit. Thirdly, there is little concern about social stigma. Purchased public housing was found to be good in terms of stigmatization due to low-income clusters. Lastly, the accessibility in the city center was good condition. In particular, commuting time was 34.79 minutes on a one-way basis, saving about 4 minutes compared to other types of public housing.

익산시 거주 모친의 자녀에 대한 구강건강관리 행태 (Mother' Oral Health Management Behavior to their Children In Iksan)

  • The purpose if this study was to investigate mother' oral health management behavior to their children. Two hundreds sixty seven mothers with elementary school students were surveyed among the residents living of Iksan city, Korea. A questionnaire was constructed and administered to the samples. The research focused in the following items: the subjects' socio-demographic factors such as education level and employment and so on; their knowledge of plaque; the leading causes of caries, regular dental examinations; dental treatment; their interest in their children's dental health; the frequency of the subjects examining their children's teeth; non-cariogenic food preparation, etc. Being based in collected data, mothers' oral health management behavior to their children were analyzed according to maternal socio-demographic factor and result were following. There was a difference in the subjects knowledge of dental plaque in accordance with their employment or unemployment and family income. There was no difference in mother's oral health management behavior to their children according to parents' education level, the subjects' age and family income. Most of mother answered the main reason of dental caries was that their children did not toothbrush their teeth regularly and there was a difference in the understanding of the subjects in accordance with the education level of fathers and family income. The subjects had a low understanding of the effect of preventing caries with the help of fluoride. They didn't have enough understanding of water fluoridation. So it is necessary that active campaigns should be launched to enlighten people in relation to the ways of preventing dental caries with fluoride.

대도시 지역주민들의 건강정보 이용경로 관련 요인 분석 - 서울특별시 J구를 중심으로 - (Factors Associated with Channels of Health Information Used by Metropolitan City Residents)

  • Objectives: This study was designed to understand the association between sociodemographic characteristics, health behaviors and channels retrieved for health information. Methods: Questionnaire survey was performed from April 2007 to May 2007 through household visiting. Sample was selected according to gender, household income, and residence district. We got 1,009 respondents and subgroups were as follows; 508 people had health insurance, 250 people were medical indigent group, and 251 people were medicaid beneficiaries. Results: People seemed to be separated into subgroups by channels used for health information. One was active and the other was passive group. Characteristics of passive group were older age, worker or inoccupation, less income, subjective poverty, lower education, loss of spouse, medical indigent or medicaid group. They usually got health information through mass media like TV and radio or medical professionals. Characteristics of active group were younger age, professional, more income, subjective affluence, higher education, single or married, and member of health insurance. They mainly got health information through printed media like newspaper or the Internet. Conclusion: We suggest to provide health information through various channels customed to individual needs and literacy. Public health stakeholders seems better to focus on people with low education, insufficient health literacy, poor health status, and short information technology.

저소득층의 치매노인 그룹홈 계획에 대한 요구 (Needs for the Planning of Group Homes for the Elderly with Dementia of Lower Income Classes)

  • This study aimed to examine the needs for the planning of group homes for the elderly with dementia in lower income class, who have more economic burden on the caring the demented aged. The survey was conducted by questionnaires collected from 300 respondents from December 2000 to March 2001. Methods of analysis were frequency distribution, mean and chi-square test. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The respondents perceived that the responsibility to take care of the elderly with dementia belonged to their family, not to society or the government, and the sons and daughters had to share the burden placed on care-givers. 2) The awareness of group homes for dementia was relatively low. 3) The respondents' needs for the group homes with dementia could be summarized as follows; small scale plan with homelike atmosphere, a total of 6-8 residents, structural type of detached house or three-storied town house, 2-3 persons per individual room, and management system by non-profit organization or the government. There were no big differences between the respondents of this study and upper and middle class studies conducted by other research, except for some details. Referring to results of this study, it is asserted that group homes for the elderly with dementia would be embraced throughout the country if poetical assistance combined with economic support were provided.

매입임대주택 거주자의 주거환경 및 주택관리 만족도 분석 (Satisfaction of Residents on the Publicly Purchased Property Program with Residential Environment and Housing Management)

  • The Publicly Purchased Property (PPP) Program since 2004 has allowed low-income households to reside in decent housing at a reasonable expense and to live in a community they choose. With an increasing number of the housing stock, management of the properties becomes a growing concern. The purpose of this research is to find out the satisfaction of the tenants with residential environment and housing management. To collect data, a face-to-face interview survey was conducted for 310 households living in the designated properties of 8 cities in and outside the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA). Most of the households were a family of three headed by late middle-aged man and lived in physically sound, small-sized units at an affordable cost. Overall satisfaction with living environment was higher in non-SMA than in SMA, and influenced by building deterioration and unit size. Further, most of the respondents were in favor of housing management services provided by a nearby public housing estate. Building deterioration and regular onsite visits of management staff were determinants in the satisfaction with housing management. The results indicate that proper housing management delays building deterioration and assures decent living for low-income people, leading to high levels of residential satisfaction.

  • The objective of this paper was to establish the attributes that determines neighbourhood satisfaction in South Africa lowincome housing subsidy scheme ultilising the Delphi approach. This is because the perception and housing satisfaction of lowincome housing beneficiaries toward their housing condition can be studied by examining their satisfaction toward s the neighbourhood factors. The Delphi method was used where the views of housing experts were solicited on 26 potential attributes as identified from li terature. Consensus was achieved after three iterative rounds. The expert"s scored each attributes on a 10-point ordinal scale of impact significance, where 1-2=No impact and 9-10= very high impact. The scales adapted for consensus were: strong consensus, median 9-10, inter quartile deviation (IQD) ≤1; good consensus, median 7 ≤ 6.99and IQD≥2.1≤3. The key findings indicate that there was a good to strong consensus of 19 attributes which were key attributes that the experts perceived as determinants of neighbourhood satisfaction; while 6 other attributes had weak consensus, as they were considered to have a le sser impact in determining residents" neighbourhood satisfaction. However, attributes with weak consensus were the attributes that are highly regarded as core neighbourhood factors in other housing settings. The study contributes to the body of knowledge on th e subject where no consensus has been reached pertaining to indicators for measuring neighbourhood satisfaction in subsidised low-income housing in South Africa.

대도시 거주자들의 주거불안정 영향요인에 관한 다층분석 (A Multi-Level Analysis of Influential Factors of Residents' Housing Instability in Korean Metropolitan Environments)

  • 최근 대도시를 중심으로 주택가격의 급격한 상승에 따라 서민들의 주거안정도 크게 위협받고 있다. 본 연구는 대도시 거주자들의 주거불안정성에 주목하여 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 특히, 기존의 선행연구들이 주거비부담능력이 낮은 가구들의 주거불안 경험과 이에 따른 그들의 삶의 변화를 보여주는 데 주목해온 것과 달리, 본 연구에서는 거주지역의 공간적 개방성, 커뮤니티 특성 등 지역특성이 거주자들의 주거불안 경험을 완화 또는 심화시킬 수 있다는 점에 주목하여 이에 대한 영향력을 실증분석하였다. 대도시 거주자들의 주거불안정 영향요인을 분석하기 위한 자료로 2017년도 주거실태조사를 활용하여 다층로짓모형(Multi-level Logistic Model)을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 가구의 주거비 부담능력과 같은 가구특성뿐만 아니라 주택 재고, 저렴한 주택 가격, 사회적 관계망 등 지역 특성의 영향력 또한 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 지역의 공간적 포용성 증진이 주민들의 주거불안정을 완화하는 데 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것임을 시사한다. 논의를 바탕으로 본 연구는 주거불안정을 도시정책 차원에서 주목하고, 이를 완화해나가기 위한 정책적 노력이 필요함을 제안한다.

A Study on Measures to Promote Rural Community Empowerment Project for Residents in Jinja, Uganda: Focused on On-Site Investigation on the Feasibility of Creating a Tourism Agriculture Complex

  • The purpose of this research is to strengthen rural community empowerment by creating a tourism farm as a plan to reduce relative poverty and to improve the quality of life by creating jobs and increasing the income of local residents in underdeveloped countries. To do so, literature review, stakeholder interviews, on-site investigations, focus-group interviews, a project meeting for residents and a questionnaire survey were performed and analyzed and the results were as follows. First, Uganda has the potential to increase agricultural production based on its warm climate, fertile land and abundant natural resources. The quality of life of local residents is expected to be improved by realizing high-added values through the convergence of the conventional existing agricultural industry and other industries if the agricultural technology is properly transferred based on abundant labor force and low labor expenses. Opportunities for the success of the project can be spread to other rural villages across the country. Second, since local residents are now cultivating sugar cane, cassava, matoke, banana, coffee and so on as a farm owner, tourism agriculture with high-added values can be promoted by vitalizing communities based on farming technology to be transferred and a cooperative farm. It is also necessary to implement a rural community empowerment project to do so. Third, the university that is the cooperative partner of the project is positively considering to train experts by establishing a community development department, and, if necessary, a technical training center to educate the general public, which is expected to create synergic effects through the convergence of education, agriculture and tourism.

시설거주 노인의 관계적 공격성이 우울감에 미치는 영향 -기초생활수급권자 입소노인을 중심으로- (Effect of Relational Aggression on Depression of Nursing Home Residents -Focusing on Low-income Elderly-)

  • 본 연구는 노인요양시설에서 생활하는 노인들이 경험하는 관계적 공격성이 우울감에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 시설적응이 미치는 매개효과를 검증했다. 이를 위해 서울 경기 지역 기초생활수급자 대상 노인전문요양시설 3곳과 노인요양시설 3곳에서 182부의 설문지를 회수해서 분석의 근거로 삼았다. 그리고 SPSS18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석 및 상관관계분석 등을, AMOS 7.0 프로그램을 사용해 구조방정식 모형을 분석했다. 그밖에 Sobel test를 이용해 매개효과의 통계적 유의미성을 검증했다. 조사결과를 분석한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인요양시설에서 생활하는 노인들 사이에 나타나는 관계적 공격성과 우울감 사이에는 통계적 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인요양시설 입소노인 간의 관계적 공격성이 우울감 사이에 시설적응의 매개효과가 있다. 즉, 시설에서 관계적 공격성이 높을수록 노인들의 시설적응은 낮아지고, 시설적응이 낮을수록 노인들의 우울감이 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 제언을 하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인요양시설에서 노인들 사이의 긍정적인 유대관계를 형성하기 위해서 새로운 입소노인들이 기존 입소노인들과 함께 공감대를 형성할 수 있는 건강프로그램, 종교프로그램 등을 개발하여 공통된 관심사를 통해 상호관계를 증진시키도록 한다. 둘째, 노인들의 시설적응을 돕기 위한 방안으로써, 개인용품을 시설에 반입하는 허용 범위를 넓히는 방법을 생각할 수 있다. 셋째, 노인들 사이에서 나타나는 괴롭힘 같은 부정적 관계가 발생하는 상황을 중재 혹은 예방 및 경감하기 위한 프로그램을 해당 시설에서 적극적으로 개발할 필요가 있다.

주택재개발사업 특성이 재입주에 미치는 영향 (An Analysis of the Relationship Between Resettlement and Housing Redevelopment Characteristics)

  • The reason that compulsory removals of a low-quality housing redevelopment such as involuntary or unintentional migration present a problem for urban communities is that whether involuntary movers adapt themselves to their new home has an influence on the urban communities that surround them. Moreover, involuntary emigrants have higher probability of choosing faulty residential areas than voluntary emigrants do. This gives rise to a problem of another residential migration for involuntary movers. In order to solve these problems, there is a need for a new housing policy that enables original residents to come back to their old community. However studies for resettlement had not conducted subjects about housing redevelopment characteristics which influences the involuntary movers directly. Instead personal microscopic characteristics such as statistics of resettlement, the moving distance, the reason of moving, improvement of living environment, had been main subjects of farmer studies. So the purpose of this study is to analyze an analysis of the relationship between resettlement and housing redevelopment characteristics. The data used in this study was obtained at 47 areas designated by Seoul (metropolis) since 1990 for redevelopment. Cluster Analysis Is used for dividing high rate of resettlement with low rate of resettlement and Regression Analysis is used for the analysis of the relationship between resettlement and housing redevelopment characteristics. The results of examining the effects of a redeveloped housing complex on returning residents at 47 areas designated by Seoul (metropolis) since 1990 fur redevelopment are as follows: First, A housing complex with a high returning rate (remove-in rate?) has no state/public land, unauthorized building owners who are in the low-income brackets, and few interested parties such as union members. This is the characteristic of a redeveloped housing complex with a short-period project span. On the contrary, a housing complex that has a low returning rate is crowded by state/public land, and numerous unauthorized building owners, and interested parties. Second, According to the linear regression analysis, among the factors that affect returning residents, 'physical properties(characteristics) of a region', 'population properties within a region', and 'properties of a project span' indicate a negative(-)influence whereas 'properties of a complex density' shows a positive(+) influence. In a nutshell, the more the physical properties, population properties, projectspan properties, the lower the returning rate and the more the complex density properties, the higher the returning rate. In detail, an area with many small land and new/large buildings, a high population, and a long project duration has a low returning rate of original residents while an area holding large capacity and buildings with many number of floors (multiple-storied building) has a high returning rate.
