This study was administered to identify features of masstiege high-end products by comparing to original old high-end products. For this purpose, the differences in shopping orientation between each consumer groups by product types(high-end products, original old high-end products) preferred were examined. 300 female consumers were surveyed and 279 data were used for analysis. The results are as follows. First, three elements(efficiency, enjoyment, convenience) of shopping orientation were constructed by factor analysis and efficiency element of all elements had highest explanation power. The differences in shopping orientation between masstiege high-end products and original old high-end products were identified by t-test. The consumers preferring original old high-end products regarded convenience element as an important factor and the consumers preferring masstiege high-end products considered efficiency element more. The correlation analysis between shopping orientation factors and demographic characteristics were administered. The consumers who were of low age, low education, low income and unmarried pursued efficiency more, the consumers who were unmarried, of high education and high income showed to pursue enjoyment more, and the consumers who were of high age, high education, high income and married considered convenience element more. Finally marketing strategies for masstiege brands were suggested.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the determinants affecting the consumer-brand relationship quality (CBRQ) in the fast food restaurant. The questionnaires were distributed to 250 students in the K University located in Masan, who were sampled by convenience-sampling method from December, 6 to 14, 2004. The 246 questionnaires were responded, and 12 unusable questionnaires were excluded, then 234 were used for the final analysis (response rate: 93.7%). SPSS (12.0) was used for the statistical analysis. The result of this study showed that the CBRQ of low monthly income group was significantly lower than that of high monthly income group (p < .05), and the CBRQ of more frequent visiting group was significantly higher than that of less frequent visiting group (p < .001). The CBRQ of group who spend less than 30 minutes on their visiting the fast food restaurant was lower than that of group who spend more than 30 minutes (p < .01). As a conclusion, the operators in the fast food restaurant should focus on the concentrated marketing strategy for the frequent-visiting customers who had a strong quality of consumer-brand relationship in order to increase sales volume, and at the same time they should try to make marketing strategy to induce the less frequent-visiting customers who had less strong consumer-brand relationship quality to their restaurants in order to strengthen quality of consumer-brand relationship, which would be resulted to lead them to their restaurant more frequently.

Data were collected by a survey of college student consumers after experiments with TV commercials. ANOVA, Duncan, and stepwise multiple regression analysis were carried out with the gathered data. The results are as follows. First, the TV advertising information comprehension degree of the college students consumers were shown to be low, by 41.2%. The comprehension degree was especially low when the information was presented visually without any verbal expression. Second, assuming that the comprehension of TV advertisements is defined by a correct perceptual understanding after recognizing the consumer-deception factors, the percentage of correct answers was poor, by 29.2%. Third, according to sex, average monthly income, degree of immersion on TV commercials, advertisement attitude, and consumer education of school, the TV advertisement information recognition and comprehension showed varying degrees between the groups. In the case of women students whose average monthly income was 100 to 300 thousand Korean won, had a high degree of immersion on TV commercials, and a high degree of consumer education at school, the TV advertising information recognition was shown to be high. In the case of third year college students who had a medium level of immersion on TV commercials and a high degree of consumer education at school, the TV advertisement comprehension was high. Fourth, the high explanatory factor of TV advertising information recognition and comprehension was found to be common because of consumer education at school.

The data sampling technique uses accidental sampling method. The data was collected from respondents consisted of 100 consumers of five major retailers in the city of Bogor in Indonesia. The respondents consist of 80 female (80%), and 57 respondents are 25-34 years old (57%). In terms of education, type of job and monthly income of respondent, the sample can be categorized as middle-class segment. The data obtained were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of this study indicate that the information obtained by consumers significantly and positively affects consumer preferences and consumer awareness of organic vegetables. Then, consumer preferences and consumer awareness significantly and positively affect the interest of consumers to buy organic vegetables. Consumer preference for organic vegetables is still considered quite low. The factors that influence the low consumer preference are the price of organic vegetables, which is more expensive than non-organic vegetables and the unattractive packaging of organic vegetables.
Household debt in Korea raises concerns about the resilience of the economy due to its size and quality. Against this backdrop, we investigate if household leverage matters for private consumption in adverse economic environments even without severe financial disruptions. We find that the balance sheet positions in terms of the leverage ratio may weaken consumption growth. We also find that the depressive effect of debt on consumption may differ across types of consumer spending and household characteristics. In particular, the effects of indebtedness have been much stronger in relation to durable goods expenditures than in other areas. In addition, debtors in high-income (wealth) groups have also shown downward adjustments in consumption even more so than low-income (wealth) groups. These findings imply that debtors' precautionary behavior may serve as an important channel from leverage to consumer spending.
This study purpose to know the degree of adolescent consumer's conspicuous consumption how difference do adolescent consumers' conspicuous consumption have by socio demographic variables socio-psychological variables consumer ability. Therefore we suggest the adolescent consumer's sound consumption to consumer education. To approach to above purpose the research question are as the followings. 1) The average level of conspicuous consumption a little low median point. This implies that comsumer education is necessary for the adolescent consumer in order to reduce the level of conspicuous consumption. 2) Theadolescent consumers' consumption differs significantly according to the sex(p<0.05) monthly mean income of family(P<0.01) degree of taking in massmedia (P<0.01) subjective status on oneself(P<0.01) consumer socialization(P<0.01) 3) According to the results of the regression analysis examining the relative influences of variables affecting for conspicuous consumption the rela ive importance of the variables ; degree of taking in massmedia sex consumer knowledge communication with peers consumer attitude and the amount of allowance.

The purpose of this study was to identify and to compare the internet service factors affecting shopping satisfaction and intention to return between total shopping sites and fashion specialty sites. Data were obtained from 208 men and women aged between 20-40 who used internet. Factor analysis, Multiple regression, chi square test and F test were applied. The results were as follows. First, there were some demographic differences between two site shoppers. Young, low-income, student consumers were more likely to visit fashion specialty site than older, high-income, non students were. Second, consumer satisfaction and revisit to the total shopping sites were influenced by site composition, purchasing convenience, and after-purchase service. For the fashion specialty sites, consumer satisfaction was affected by site composition and after-purchase service while consumer intention to return was only by site composition. Thus, big sized total shopping sites should provide all kinds of online services to satisfy consumers. Small sized, fashion specially sites had better concentrate on site design or fashionable, creative product merchandising to get a competitive edge for young customers.

Recently, rice producers and related institutions have started to brand rice to increase sale. Despite such trend and the significance of rice branding to many parties including policy makers, no previous research has studied the relationship between consumers' psychological and socio-economic factors that underline consumer choice and judgment of branded rice. This paper discusses the variables related to branding through a survey based on 242 convenience consumer samples selected in Seoul metropolitan area in Korea, and presents the results and their implication for future research. The major findings are: 1) Consumers are reasonably well aware of rice-branding practices, and the main source of such information is in-store displays and packages, 2) It appears that consumers in general choose a rice brand based mainly on its taste and nutrition, and 3) the perceived difference among rice brands differs depending on some consumer characteristics. The perceived differences among rice brands in taste and in nutrition are relatively high for brand-loyal consumers and high-income consumers respectively. The perceived difference among rice brands in brand reputation is also relatively high for young, low-income, and brand-loyal consumers.
The purpose of this study is to figure out the urban low-income consumers' present possesion condition of electric appliances, the way of purchasing, shopping scope of groceries and electric appliances, and the shopping scope and information seeking behavior of groceries and electric appliances according to the socioeconomic variables, and the shopping scope of electric appliances according to the way of paying price. For this purpose 129 low-income consumers living in Inchon were interviewed through questionnares. Finally 100 questionnares were analyzed. The first major of this study is that the possesion rates of color television set and refrigerator are comparativelyl high, while those of washing machine, record player and camera are low. In case of electric appliances, consumers usually purchase things on credit and as a shopping place, they usually go to a commercial agent. In case of groceries, they usually buy things for cash, and in case of one price labeled groceries they usually buy things at a supermarket. Second, according to the way of paying price, the shopping scope of some electric appliances is broader in case of purchase for cach than in case of purchase on credit. Third, the shopping scope and information seeking behavior classified by the socioeconomic variables according to the income, age and education. That is as the income and education become higher and the age becomes lower, the shopping scope becomes broader, mass media information source is much more uaed and the frequency of seeking becomes higher. Through this study, I would like to suggest the followings. (1) The problem of low-income consumers is closely connected with the low education level, so it can be solved a bit through consumer education. (2) Especially the consumers' problem is more serious in case of those who are aged and get very low income and education. Therefore special attention is needed to those consumers.
