저온 압력용기용 강의 피로파괴에 미치는 온도의 영향 (The Effect of Temperature on Fatigue Fracture in Pressure Vessel Steel at Low Temperature)

  • The fatigue crack growth behavior of the SA516/60 steel which is used for pressure vessels was examined experimentally at room temperature $25^{\circ}C,\;-30^{\circ}C,\;-60^{\circ}C,\;-80^{\circ}C,\;-100^{\circ}C$ and $-120^{\circ}C$ with stress ratio of R=0.05, 0.1 and 0.3. Fatigue crack propagation rate da/dN related with stress intensity factor range ${\Delta}K$ was influenced by stress ratio in stable of fatigue crack growth (Region II) with an increase in ${\Delta}K$. The resistance of fatigue crack growth at low temperature is higher compared with that at room temperature, which is attributed to tile extent of plasticity-induced by compressive residual stress according to the cyclic loads. Fractographic examinations reveal that the differences of the fatigue crack growth characteristics between room and low temperatures are mainly explained by the crack closure and the strengthening due to the plasticity induced and roughness induced.

과황산나트륨 산화에 의한 토양내 저휘발성 유기오염물 제거 시 온도의 영향 평가 (Temperature Effects on the Persulfate Oxidation of Low Volatile Organic Compounds in Fine Soils)

  • Batch tests were carried out to evaluate the thermal treatment of low volatile organic compounds in low-permeability soil. The chemical oxidation by sodium persulfate catalyzed by heat and Fe (II) was evaluated. Enhanced persulfate oxidation of n-decane (C-10), n-dodecane (C-12), n-tetradecane (C-14), n-hexadecane (C-16), and phenanthrene was observed with thermal catalyst, indicating increased sulfate radical production. Slight enhancement of the pollutants oxidation was observed when initial sodium persulfate concentration increased from 5 to 50 g/L. However, the removal efficiency greatly decreased as soil/water ratio increased. It indicates that mass transfer of the pollutants as well as the contact between the pollutants and sulfate radical were inhibited in the presence of solids. In addition, more pollutants can be adsorbed on soil particles and soil oxidant demand increased when soil/water ratio becomes higher. The oxidation of the pollutants was significantly improved when catalyzed by Fe(II). The sodium persulfate consumption increased at the same time because the residual Fe(II) acts as the sulfate radical scavenger.

  • We have suggested sputtered W-C-N thin film for preventing thermal budget between semiconductor and metal. These results show that the W-C-N thin film has good thermal stability and low resistivity. In this study we newly suggested sputtered W-B-C-N thin diffusion barrier. In order to improve the characteristics, we examined the impurity behaviors as a function of nitrogen gas flow ratio. This thin film is able to prevent the interdiffusion during high temperature (700 to $1000^{\circ}C$) annealing process and has low resistivity ($\sim$200$\mu{\Omega}-cm$). Through the analysis of X-Ray diffraction, resistivity and XPS, we studied structure behavior of W-B-C-N diffusion barrier.

단일 반응기를 이용한 동시 질산.탈질에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Simultaneous Nitrification and Denitrification in a Single Bioreactor)

  • 본 연구에서는 완전혼합 방식의 단일 반응기에서 동시 질산 탈질반응을 구현하여 유입수 내 질소를 효과적으로 제거하고자 하였다. 동시 질산 탈질반응 적용 시 반응조 내의 용존산소 농도와 유입수의 C/N비가 중요한 인자라는 점에 착안하여 적정 용존산소 농도와 C/N비를 규명하고자 하였다. 합성 폐수 실험 결과 0.5 mg/L의 용존산소 농도 및 7 이상의 C/N비에서 안정적인 질소 제거가 이루어짐을 알 수 있었다. 인근 하수처리장 실제 유입수를 이용한 실험결과 0.5 mg/L의 용존산소 농도의 유지만으로는 원래 가지고 있던 낮은 C/N비로 인해 안정적인 질소 제거가 어려웠으나 외부 탄소원(glucose)의 주입을 통해 C/N비를 7 이상으로(최대 14까지) 높여주었을 경우 70% 이상의 안정적인 질소 제거가 단일 반응조에서 가능하였다.

SA516/70강의 저온피로크랙 전파 하한계특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Crack Propagation Threshold Characteristics in SA516/70 Steel at Low Temperature)

  • Fatigue crack propagation rate and threshold characteristics of the SA516/70 steel which is used for the low temperature pressure vessels, were studied in the room temperature of $25^{\circ}C$ and low temperature ranges of $-10^{\circ}C,\;-30^{\circ}C,\;-60^{\circ}C\;and\;-80^{\circ}C$ with stress ratio of R=0.1. In the logarithmic relationship between the fatigue crack propagation rate($d{\alpha}/dN$) and stress intensity factor range ${\Delta}K$, the linear relationship was obtained up to $d{\alpha}/dN=4.425{\times}10^4mm/cycle$ in the same of room temperature, but in low temperature case, the relationship was extended to the range of low crack propagation rate. The fractured specimens were examined by SEM. Tested results showed that specimen failed at low temperature exhibit the quasi-cleavage fracture formation however considerable ductility proceed final fracture.

  • In this study, CT specimen were prepared from Pressure Vessel Steel which was used for pressure vessel plates for room and low temperature service. And we got the following characteristics from fatigue crack growth test carried out in the environment of room and low temperature at $25^{\circ}C$, -3$0^{\circ}C$, -6$0^{\circ}C$, -8$0^{\circ}C$, -10$0^{\circ}C$ and -12$0^{\circ}C$ and in the range of stress ratio of 0.05 and 0.3 by means of opening mode displacement. At the constant street ratio, the threshold stress intensity factor range ΔK$_{th}$ in the early stage of fatigue crack growth(Region I) and stress intensity factor range ΔK in the stable of fatigue crack growth(Region II) was increased in proportion to descend temperature. It assumed that the fatigue resistance characteristics and fracture strength at low temperature is considerable higher than that of room temperature in the early stage and stable of fatigue crack growth region. The straight line slope relation of logarithm do/dN -ΔK in RegionII, that is, the fatigue crack growth exponent m increased with descending temperature at the constant stress ratio. It was assumed that the fatigue crack growth rate do/dN is rapid in proportion to descending temperature in Region IIand the cryogenic-brittleness greatly affect a material with decreasing temperature.e.greatly affect a material with decreasing temperature.

코코넛 피트를 이용한 음식물 쓰레기의 퇴비화 기초실험 (A Basic Experimental Study on Composting of Garbage Wastes by Coconut Peat)

  • 본 연구는 실험실 규모의 회분식 반응기로 음식물쓰레기와 돈분을 퇴비화하였으며, 수분, C/N비 및 비중 조절재로써 톱밥과 코코넛 피트를 사용하였다. 첨가재로 톱밥만을 이용하여 생산된 퇴비와 톱밥과 코코넛 피트를 이용하여 생산된 퇴비를 비교하여 볼 때, 전자가 후자보다 감량율과 분해율이 약간씩 높게 나타났다. 이는 코코넛 피트가 톱밥보다 보습력이 뛰어났기 때문이며, 초기 수분량이 낮고, 통기성이 좋아 적정의 비중조절이 가능하여 호기성 발효를 촉진할수 있었다. 음식물 쓰레기만에 의한 퇴비는 그 비료성분이 부산물 비료의 기준을 만족시킬 수 없으며, 따라서 음식물쓰레기와 돈분을 동일 비율로 혼합하여 양질의 퇴비를 생산할 수 있었다. CEC값은 평균적으로 63.8me/100g 이었다. 톱밥의 높은 C/N비 때문에 퇴비화 초기의 C/N비는 적절하게 조절되었다. C/N비(>40)가 높을수록 감소율이 컸으며, 퇴비화하는 동안의 C/N비는 점점 향상되었다.
