하이브리드 방법을 이용한 다층 미앤더선로 구조의 3:1 광대역 원편파 편파기 설계 (Design of a 3:1 Wideband Circular Polarizer with Multilayered Meanderline Using Hybrid Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 6~18 GHz 주파수 범위의 미앤더선로로 구성된 다층 구조의 광대역 원편파 편파기를 설계 및 제작하였다. 미앤더선로-유전체-스페이서의 단위 구성요소에 대한 전송행렬을 경계값 해를 적용하여 제시하였다. 또한, 도파관 모델이 적용되도록 미앤더선로의 배열 구조와 함께 미앤더선로의 등가 서셉턴스를 HFSS 전자기장 해석방법으로 계산하는 방법을 제안하였다. 전자기장 해석방법과 전송행렬을 연동한 하이브리드 방법과 반복 수행법을 이용하여 광대역, 낮은 삽입손실, 낮은 축비 특성을 갖는 다층 구조의 미앤더선로 원편파 편파기를 설계하였다. 제작된 편파기는 동작주파수의 92 % 대역에서 -10 dB 이하의 반사손실과 평균 -0.24 dB의 삽입손실 및 평균 2.6 dB 이하의 축비 특성으로 설계값과 잘 일치함을 확인하였다.

녹지총량제의 국외사례 및 국내 적용가능성 (Feasibility Study on the Introduction of No Net Loss of Green)

  • Due to the increasing needs of land supply, green space has been continuously encroached and resulted considerable naturality deterioration in Korea. In order to overcome the problem, it is necessary to introduce a integrated system for managing the quantitative and qualitative aspects of green space. With this regard, this study is to derive the feasibility for the adoption of the 'no net loss of green' policy to Korea from German and Japanese experiences. In Germany, natural resources are protected and inevitable damages were compensated through the adoption of 'interference regulation'. In Japanese case, future green space and artificial green foundation should be specified on the green basic plan which pursuit the improvement of naturality. In order to introduce the 'no net loss of green' policy to Korea, not only awareness raising on integrated green management system but also amendment of related regulations are needed. In detail, restoration and recovery on the damaged nature should be clearly elucidated and indicators to evaluate the current naturality and calculation methods for the restoration should be developed. Should this integrated green management system introduced, deterioration of naturality by development activities could be minimized thorough the adoption of land development permission criteria and green space management methodologies.

비희토류 전동기의 효율 향상을 위한 Fan-shape type PMSM 설계 및 성능 분석 (Design of Fan-shape Type PMSM for Improving Efficiency of Non-rare Earth Motor)

  • The rare earth output is concentrated in limited number of countries including China. Also the necessity for development of non-rare earth motor is getting signified due to the rapid increase of rare earth price and resource weaponizing policies. Non-rare earth motor is generally designed as spoke type PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) in order to maximize the power density. Such spoke type PMSM has advantage in concentrating the flux but demonstrates lower efficiency compared to permanent magnet using Nd (Neodymium) permanent magnet. Therefore, applications with strong necessity for efficiency need rotor structure having improved efficiency compared to spoke type PMSM. Hence, this study suggested fan-shape type PMSM with somewhat lower power density but maximized efficiency. Fan-shape type PMSM is a rotor shape demonstrating outstanding reduction of iron loss compared to existing spoke type. Thus, this study analyzed the improvement of efficiency and reduction of loss arising from the suggested shape through parameter calculation.

반사경 배치 및 흡수기 형상에 따른 접시형 태양열 집열기의 열손실 해석 (Analysis of Heat Loss with Mirror Array and Receiver Shapes on the Dish Solar Collector)

  • The radiative heat loss from a receiver of a dish solar collector is numerically investigated. The dish solar collector considered in this paper consists of a receiver and multi-faceted mirrors. In order to investigate the performance comparison of dish solar collectors, six different mirror arrays and four different receivers are considered. A parabolic- shaped perfect mirror of which diameter is 1.40 m is considered as the reference for the mirror arrays. The other mirror arrays which consist of twelve identical parabolic-shaped mirror facets of which diameter are 0.405 m are suggested for comparison. Their reflecting areas, which are 1.545 $m^{2}$, are the same. Four different receiver shapes are a conical, a dome, a cylindrical, and a unicorn type. The radiative properties of the mirror surfaces and the receiver surfaces may vary the thermal performance of the dish solar collector so that various surface properties are considered. In order to calculate the radiative heat loss in the receiver, two kinds of methods are used. The Net Radiation Method that is based on the radiation heat balance on the surface is used to calculate the radiation heat transfer rate from the inside surface of the receiver to the environment. The Monte-Carlo Method that is the statistical approach is adopted to predict the radiation heat transfer rate from the reflector to the receiver. The collector efficiency is defined as the results of the optical efficiency and the receiver efficiency. Based on the calculation, the unicorn type has the best performance in receiver shapes and the STAR has the best performance in mirror arrays except the perfect mirror.

Generating Radiology Reports via Multi-feature Optimization Transformer

  • As an important research direction of the application of computer science in the medical field, the automatic generation technology of radiology report has attracted wide attention in the academic community. Because the proportion of normal regions in radiology images is much larger than that of abnormal regions, words describing diseases are often masked by other words, resulting in significant feature loss during the calculation process, which affects the quality of generated reports. In addition, the huge difference between visual features and semantic features causes traditional multi-modal fusion method to fail to generate long narrative structures consisting of multiple sentences, which are required for medical reports. To address these challenges, we propose a multi-feature optimization Transformer (MFOT) for generating radiology reports. In detail, a multi-dimensional mapping attention (MDMA) module is designed to encode the visual grid features from different dimensions to reduce the loss of primary features in the encoding process; a feature pre-fusion (FP) module is constructed to enhance the interaction ability between multi-modal features, so as to generate a reasonably structured radiology report; a detail enhanced attention (DEA) module is proposed to enhance the extraction and utilization of key features and reduce the loss of key features. In conclusion, we evaluate the performance of our proposed model against prevailing mainstream models by utilizing widely-recognized radiology report datasets, namely IU X-Ray and MIMIC-CXR. The experimental outcomes demonstrate that our model achieves SOTA performance on both datasets, compared with the base model, the average improvement of six key indicators is 19.9% and 18.0% respectively. These findings substantiate the efficacy of our model in the domain of automated radiology report generation.

공익사업시행(公益事業施行)으로 인한 어업(漁業)의 간접피해(間接被害) 보상액(補償額) 산출방법(算出方法)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Calculation Method of Compensation for Indirect Damage of Fishery by Undertaking Public Project)

  • Under the provision of Article 63 of the Enforcement Regulation of the Act on Acquisition and Compensation of Land and Others for Public Project that is recently enacted and implemented (hereinafter referred to as the 'Lend Compensation Act') the compensation is required to make 'When the Actual Damage Amount' is confirmed for the damage in fishery affairs that is outside of the public project area. The compensation for fishery business on the indirect damage area has been excluded from the advance compensation subject to conflict with the existing laws on fishery business compensation with the controversy in method, procedure, time and others to confirm the actual damage amount, and it lacks the standard of calculation for detailed compensation on partial damages outside of business implementation area, which caused the ceaseless conflicts and straggles between the project implementation party and the victimized fishermen regarding the calculation method of damages, standard, compensation period and others. In particular, from the numerous problems in damage compensation in fishery on the indirect damage area, the most recent problem emerged is the issue on application method of damage period in calculating the damage compensation amount that the struggle has been deepened with the differences between the project implementation party and the victimized fishermen without the stipulation on the compensation, that caused the difficulties in carrying out the public project and other serious social problems. In this study, the reasonable application method for the damage period and the calculation plan of the damage amount for calculating the damages on fishery industry outside of the public project implementation zone that is not fully specified under the Land Compensation Act, and the indirect damage area is not influenced for the notification of project recognition, and the compensation to undertake with the damage in the fishery industry in project implementation area to have the nature of damage compensation, the right to engage in fishery industry has the perpetual nature of rights, the fishery damage compensation system of Japan also recognizes the perpetual right on fishery industry to calculate the compensation amount, and the compensation for damage amount has been exercised for the period of actual damage occurrence period regardless of remaining effective period for most of fishery permit and license for fishery compensation outside of the project implementation area following the recent various public projects as well as the development process of theory on fishery loss compensation that the calculation of damage amount on the fishery industry outside of the project implementation zone would be prudent to compensate by calculating the applicable damages during the period of actual damages, and by doing so, the 'just compensation' guaranteed under the Constitution may be materialized. Therefore, the calculation of the damages from the implementation of the public project shall consider the actual period of damages and the degree of damage from the public project to calculate by the income capitalization method, however, considering the equitable consideration with the compensation following the cancellation, it shall not exceed the compensation following the termination of the applicable fishery businesses. Furthermore, the calculation method of partial damage amount on the fishery business following the project implementation shall apply, depending on the period of damage occurrence, by (1) the case of calculating the future damage amount at the present time, and (2) calculating the damage from the past to the present time as well as the damage to be incurred later, by selecting the calculation method for damages following the damage occurrence type.

Development of a Performance Prediction Method for Centrifugal Compressor Channel Diffusers

  • A hybrid performance prediction method is proposed in the present study. A channel diffuser is divided into four subregions: vaneless space, semi-vaneless space, channel, and channel exit region. One-dimensional compressible core flow and boundary layer calculation of each region with an incidence loss model and empirical correlation of residuary pressure recovery coefficient of a channel predict the performance of diffusers. Three channel diffusers are designed and tested for validating the developed prediction method. The pressure distributions from an impeller exit to the channel diffuser exit are measured and discussed for various operating conditions from choke to nearly surge conditions. The strong non-uniform pressure distribution which is caused by impeller-diffuser interaction is obtained over the vaneless and semi-vaneless spaces. The predicted performance shows good agreement with the measured performance of diffusers at a design condition as well as at off-design conditions.

분절특징 HMM의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Segmental-Feature HMM)

  • In this paper, we discuss the characteristics of Segmental-Feature HMM and summarize previous studies of SFHMM. There are several approaches to reduce the number of parameters in the previous studies. However, if the number of parameters decreased, the performance of systems also fell. Therefore, we consider the fast computation approach with preserving the same number of parameters. In this paper, we present the new segment comparison method to speed up the computation of SFHMM without loss of performance. The proposed method uses the three-frame calculation rather than the full(five) frames in the given segment. The experimental results show that the performance of the proposed system is better than that of the previous studies.

Reliability of TLP tethers under extreme tensions

  • The tension leg platform (TLP) is a moored floating offshore structure whose buoyancy is more than its weight. The mooring system, known as tethers, is vulnerable to failure due to extreme (maximum and minimum) tensions. In the present study the reliability of these tethers under maximum and minimum tension (ultimate limit state) has been studied. Von-Mises failure criteria has been adopted to define the failure of a tether against maximum tension. The minimum tension failure criteria has been assumed to meet when the tethers slack due to loss of tension. First Order Reliability method (FORM) has been adopted for reliability assessment. The reliability, in terms of reliability index, and probability of failure has been obtained for twelve sea states. The probabilities of failure so obtained for different sea states have been adopted for the calculation of annual and life time probabilities of failure.

  • New valve driving system to control for the best volumetric efficiency at each load of an internal combustion engine within one engine cycle has been developed. The system needs to reduce pumping loss that cause by throttle valve during the intake valve is opened. In this system the intake valve is driven by a linear DC electromagnetic actuator which is controlled by personal computer. The result is compared both installed and uninstalled actuator into the cylinder head. By both of experimental and numerical calculation, the responsibility of the valve driving system to the engine speed was examined
