현상학적 도체 손실 등가 기법을 이용한 고속 전송선의 펄스 전송 특성 해석 (Pulse Propagation Analysis of High Speed Transmission Lines using the Phenomenological Loss Equivalence Method)

  • The phenomenological loss equivalence method incorporated into the wideband lossy transmission line model is applied to the characterization of high desity digital transmission lines. The pulse propagation characteristics are analyzed using the calculated frequency characteristics and the discrete Fourier transformation. This approach has been verified by comparing the calculated frequency characteristics with the FEM and the esperimental results. This method is very suitable for computer-aided analysis of high density/high speed interconnection circuits because of the simple calculation as well as the calculation accuracy. We have found that pulse ftransmission speed and dispersion of hgih density digital transmission lines can be optimized by managing the conductor and dielectric losses in addition to the impedance matching.

  • The insulation provided by clothing system is usually expressed in terms of a coo units and its distribution of the body, directly affect convective, conductive, and radiant heat loss from the skin to the environment Evaporated heat loss is dependent upon fabric permeability, the amount of body surface area covered by clothing, and the pumping of air between the body and garment layers. Persons at low to medium activity levels, dressed in conventional apparel in door environments, usually do not lose a large amount of heat through evaporation. Thermal manikin technology is used to measure the resistance to heat transfer provided by clothing systems. The reciprocal of this value, 6.45 W/m2.$^{\circ}C$ is often used in calculations for convenience. The purpose of this study was to implement a research program for calculation the insulation value (clo), body surface area and basal metabolic rate of selected clothing system. The project provided for the building of an insulation data base for use in evaluating and comparing new and improved garments.

  • The existent system of management for Measurement of Safety Cost are not effective because of the data loss and time loss and occurrence of errors through manual calculation. Therefore, the development of the software for measurement of safety cost can solve the problem through the systematic calculation for safety cost and converting the related data to database, and also can build the strategy of the investment of Safety cost through analysing and comparing with the past data in the database. As a part of development of the software of Measurement of Safety Cost which is appropriate for the domestic environment, this study is developing a software based on Noguji method, which is one of the methods of Measurement of Safety Cost, and to appraise the efficiency of the management of Measurement of Safety Cost we will implement and improve the software in the case of the domestic enterprises.

  • This study attempts to suggest the requisites for selecting the neighboring fisheries of the same kind related to the calculation of aquaculture fisheries loss stipulated in the article 62 of enforcement ordinance of fisheries law. First of all, the requisites for the same kind of aquaculture fisheries are legally evident. The more important requisites are the factors for the neighboring fisheries of aquaculture fisheries. Here the factors we must consider are the same oceanic environment, the same fisheries management, and the same productivity of fisherman. In conclusion, the best way of selecting neighboring fisheries is picking up the adjacent fishery to the fishery because the factor of the same oceanic environment is the most important in determining the productivity of fisheries.

  • This paper presents a modified quasi-static approximate solution derived from the Maxwell's equations of integral form for the calculation of magnetic shielding effectiveness in a non-uniform enclosure such as metal-clad high-voltage test laboratory. It also describes the simplified relationship between the electrical parameters applicable to the engineering calculations of electromagnetic absorption loss which comprise the resultant effects due to the welding seams and short-circuited slots as well as the shielding material properties. A numerical example shows the fairly good agreements with experimental results measured on the absorption loss vs. incident wave frequency without any unreasonable rapid increase.

  • High speed PM machines are being developed as motor/generators for gas-turbine generator sets in smaller power sizes, and as motors for number of applications including gas compressors, machine tools and turbo molecular pumps. Due to the high peripheral speed of the rotor and the relatively high conductivity of the magnets used, rotor eddy current loss can be substantial. This paper deals with the calculation of rotor eddy-current losse in permanent magnet(PM) high speed motor using the analysis of harmonics.

  • This paper presents an approach for the analysis of static voltage stability in power system. The proposed approach is based on multiple load flow calculation method using the redistribution algorithm of transmission loss, with which more realistic load flow solution can be obtained in the near of voltage collapse point. Some simulation results of the proposed approach show that the accuracy of static voltage stability analysis can be increased.

  • 4-Pole parameter method based on an acoustic theory is very popular for the analysis of the acoustic behavior of the car exhaust system. However, this method is applicable only for the simple shape of acoustic elements of the muffler. Numerical methods such as FEM(Finite Element Method) or BEM(Boundary Element Method) can also provide acceptable results for the acoustic analysis of the car exhaust system. Even though these numerical methods have benefits for the analysis of complicated shape of acoustic elements of the muffler, time consuming is another problem during modeling and numerical calculation. Combining benefits of both methods, the new code called the hybrid method for car exhaust system is introduced. And the developed code is utilized for calculation of the transmission loss of a main muffler of an automobile comparing with the experimental results.

  • The loss is most important problems for the practical applications of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). In this paper, rotor sleeve and stator shape design of high speed permanent magnet motor for loss reduction. First, this paper found optimum sleeve thickness for calculation eddy current loss on the basis of analytical method, because eddy current is influenced by conductivity of material and area. Then, stator shape design is changed as maintain same slot area for reducing stator core loss. Finally, this paper compared analytical result with optimum sleeve thickness obtained from finite element(FE) method, and stator core loss is calculated from FE method.

Analysis on Core Loss of Brushless DC Motor Considering Pulse Width Modulation of Inverter

  • In this paper, characteristics of blushless direct current (BLDC) motor including core loss are analyzed considering pulse width modulation (PWM) of inverter. Input voltage of BLDC motor due to PWM is calculated considering duty ratio and carrier frequency of inverter in order to control torque or speed of BLDC motor. For the calculation of core loss, the input current with harmonics due to PWM voltage is calculated by using equivalent circuit model of BLDC motor according to switching pattern and carrier frequency. Next, core loss is analyzed by inputting the currents as a source of BLDC motor for FEM. Characteristics including core loss are compared with ones without PWM waveform according to reference speed.
