GIS 기법을 이용한 대규모 매립지반의 장기침하 예측 (Prediction of Long-term Settlement in the Big Reclamation Site Using GIS)

  • 본 연구의 주된 목적은 지리정보체계(GIS, Geographic Information System) 기법을 활용하여 대규모매립지반의 장기적인 침하관리를 보다 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 새로운 접근방법을 제시함에 있으며, 또한 제시된 GIS 기법 등을 활용하여 선행재하공법이 적용된 인턴국제공항 부지 전체연약층의 향후 예상침하량을 추정하여 보았다. 이 과정에서 공사 중 및 현재까지 측정된 다양한 침하량 계측자료가 분석되었으며, 아울러 Nagaraj 등의 이론을 토대로 한 재압축 지수의 산정과 Mesri & Godlewski가 제시한 과압밀상태에서의 2차압밀계수재압축지수 사이의 비를 정의하는 관계식 등을 토대로 2차압밀계수의 결정이 이루어 졌다.

연약지반 방파제의 시공성능 및 장기침하에 관한 실험적 평가 (Experimental Evaluation of Construction Performance and Long-term Settlements in Soft Ground Breakwater)

  • A new type of soft ground breakwater was recently developed, which does not need ground improvement because of light weight and structural characteristics. The various studies about consolidation settlements and lateral behavior of proposed soft ground breakwater have been conducted. But, the systematic investigations on the construction performance and long-term settlements of new type breakwater has not been accomplished. In this study, construction simulation of soft ground breakwater with soil box model test and experiments of the long-term wave loaded breakwater were performed. The results of test shows that it is possible to compensate differential settlements by dead loading and/or suction pressure, and to reduce the consolidation settlements by preloading method. It was also found that the vertical and lateral displacements of long-term wave loaded breakwater were negligible.

유기질토의 압밀특성에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Consolidation Characteristics of Organic Soils.)

  • 전북도내 3개시역에서 채취한 유기물함량 15%인 저유기질토(LL:95%)와 유기물함량 68%인 고유기질토(LL:400%)의 압밀특성을 조사분석하기 위해서 표준압밀시험과 단일하중압밀시험을 실시하였다. 공소비는 저유기질토 보다 고유기질토가 현저하게 큰 경향을 보였으며 e-log P 곡선에서 저유기질토는 하중이 증가함에 따라서 공소비 감소경향이 완만하였으나 고유기질토에서는 현저하게 감소하였다. 압밀량과 장기압밀시간과의 관계에서 고유기질토의 경우 약 5분경 부터 시간대수에 따라 직선적으로 증가하였고 저유기질토는 일반정성토와 같은 경향을 보였다. 고유기질토의 2차압밀표수는 상기추밀시간에 따라 일정한 경향을 나타내고 있으므로 장기롱밀량추정에 중요한 인자로 이용될 수 있다.

수치해석에 의한 낙동강 하구 연약지반의 장기침하특성 (Characteristics of Long-Term Settlement in the Soft Ground of Nakdong River by Numerical Analysis)

  • 낙동강 하구 일대 대심도의 연약지반 지역은 시간 의존적인 2차압밀 특성 등의 원인으로 예측보다 실제 과다한 침하가 발생하므로 설계 시점부터 2차압밀 특성을 고려한 예측기법의 필요성이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 2,000일 이상의 장기 계측자료 분석과 1차원 이론, 탄소성, 점 탄소성의 수치해석을 수행하여 장기침하 특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 1차원 이론, 탄소성 해석 모두 성토 높이와 연약층 깊이에 따른 뚜렷한 상관관계를 찾을 수 없었으나, 점 탄소성 해석 방법은 장기계측 결과와 아주 유사하게 침하를 예측하였다. 따라서 연구 대상 지역과 같은 대심도 지역에서 장기 침하 예측 시 점 탄소성 해석을 시공 전에 적용하면 2차압밀 침하 거동 특성을 미리 예측하여 시공 중 발생할 수 있는 공기 지연과 경제적 손실을 사전에 방지할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

샌드 드레인으로 개량된 점토지반의 내부거동에 대한 압밀변형 메커니즘 (Mechanism of Consolidation Displacement on Internal Behavior of Clay Ground Improved by Sand Drain)

  • In this study, the large scaled model test improved by sand drain was carried out to clarify the internal behavior of the three-dimensional consolidation under different secondary consolidation periods. From the results of model test, the void ratio in the undrained side was lager than in the drained side. In addition, the unconfined compressive strength in the long-term consolidated specimen was larger than that in the short-term consolidated one. It was also found that the unconfined compressive strength was larger in the drained side than in the undrained side. These reasons are considered to be due to the large effective stress by quick pore water pressure dissipation by the short drainage distance in the drained side. Furthermore, in order to investigate the three-dimensional consolidation behavior of clay ground improved by the vertical drain method, the numerical analysis obtained from the three-dimensional elasto-viscous consolidation theory proposed by author (2006) were compared with the test results. It was found that during the three-dimensional consolidation process not only vertical displacement but also radial displacement occurs inside the specimen.

점토(粘土) 지반상(地盤上)의 성토(盛土)의 압밀침하(壓密沈下) 분석(分析) (Analysis for Consolidation-Settlement of Embankment on Clay Layers)

  • Generally, in case of constructing the embankments on the soft clay layers, one-dimensional consolidation settlement under the assumption of a middle position stress in a single layer makes a great difference with the integral value, ie. the final settlement. Consequently, to find how many equal segments of the soft clay layer are needed to converge into the integral value and which position should be taken as a position of mean stress, authors compared the theoretical value of the settlement due to one-dimensional consolidation with the practical value of the settlement due to two dimensional consolidation. The obtained results are as follows. 1) The practical value of the two-dimensional consolidation settlement can be estimated by the 74-83% theoretical value of the one-dimensional consolidation settlement. 2) When the soft clay layer was cut into 8-16 equal segments according to the depth, one-dimensional consolidation settlement converge into the integral value. 3) Assuming a total soft clay layer as a single one, the depth of a mean stress position is 0.29-0.37 of the thickness of the total soft clay layer. 4) The Hyperbola Method which presumes the long-term settlement from the short-term practical value of settlement is credible, because all practical value of the settlement are in safe side of the standard error of estimation and the correlation coefficient is up to 0.95.

시군통합이 자치단체 공무원 승진에 미치는 영향분석 : 시스템다이내믹스의 적용 (Analysing the Impact of City-County Consolidation on Promotion Practices of Local Government Employees : Application of System Dynamics)

  • This paper aims to analyse the impact of city-county consolidation on promotion practices of local government employees, using system dynamics approach. The cases employed in this study are Cheongju City and Cheongwon County which reached the referendum stage twice but without success. While the idea of consolidating two neighbouring local governments via a merger sounds enticing, some opponents argue that consolidation may cause some problems on the part of local government employees, emphasizing that consolidation could lengthen actual time period needed for local government employees' promotion. The majority of the existing literature on city-county consolidation, however, tends to describe the most successful cases, focusing on the achievements it has made or the political processes associated with it. With this in mind, this paper attempts to identify the impacts of consolidation on the local government employees' promotion time period, utilizing system dynamics approach. It concludes that consolidation could rather shorten the time period of promotion of local government employees concerned from the long term perspective.

공유수면 매립지내 폐석회 매립시설의 추가성토에 따른 장기침하 거동 분석 (Analysis of the Long-term Settlement Behavior Due to the Additional Embankment on the Waste Lime Landfill in Public Waters Reclaimed Land)

  • 최근 환경적 문제로 공유수면 매립사업이 감소추세에 있으나 매립사업의 특성상 일률적인 지표로 환경성을 평가하는 데 한계가 있다. 이 연구에서는 공유수면 매립지의 토질역학적 침하거동 인자를 활용하여 폐석회 매립시설의 침하 안정성을 분석하였다. 1차 압밀특성 인자로부터 폐석회는 압밀이 진행중인 점토특성과 유사함을 확인하였다. 매립지 지층을 얇은 토목섬유 보강재로 보강된 층상구조로 가정하고, Westergaard 방법에 따른 응력증가량을 이용하여 침하량을 예측하였다. 압밀도에 따른 침하량을 예측한 결과 연약지반의 표층이 토목섬유로 보강된 경우 보강되지 않은 경우보다 응력증가량이 40% 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 폐석회의 소성지수와 내부마찰각의 상관관계를 이용하여 점토와 폐석회의 압밀거동 특성을 비교하였다. 공유수면 매립지내 폐석회는 압밀이 진행중인 상태이므로 장기적으로 침하는 더 증가하는 경향을 보일 것으로 예측되었다.

Simplified analysis of creep for preloaded reconstituted soft alluvial soil from Famagusta Bay

  • Preloading of soft clays is a common ground stabilization method for improvement of compressibility and the undrained shear strength. The waiting period under preload is a primary design criterion controlling the degree of improvement obtained. Upon unloading the overconsolidation attained with respect to actual loads defines the long term performance. This paper presents a laboratory study for investigation of creep behavior of Famagusta Bay alluvial soft soil preloaded under various effective stresses for analysis of long term performance based on the degree of overconsolidation. Traditional one-dimensional consolidation tests as well as modified creep tests are performed on reconstituted soft specimens. Compressibility parameters are precisely backcalculated using one dimensional consolidation theory and the coefficient of creep is determined using the traditional Cassagrande method as well as two modified methods based on log cycles of time and the inflection of the creep curve. The test results indicated that the long term creep can be successfully predicted considering the proposed method. The creep coefficients derived as part of this method can also be related to the recompression index (recompression index, swelling index) considering the results of the testing method adopted in this study.

친환경적 수로 조성을 위한 우선순위 선정기법 (Selection Method on the Order of Priority for Consolidation of Environment Friendly Canals)

  • The purpose of this study is the making of standard which is optimal region selection for the creation of the naturally favorable waterfront area. We surveyed data of twenty two site in Korea where are managed KARICO(Korea Rural Infrastructure Corporation). Three different evaluation methods, simple score give method, subjective evaluation method, and check-list method were used. We were divided into "the highest priority area in consolidation rank", "the priority area in consolidation rank", the other area in consolidation rank". Thus, the object areas for consolidation of environment friendly canals will be chosen as in an objective manner and they will be good use of the long-term plan for consolidation of environment friendly canals.
