Detection of deep-seated abscesses is sometimes difficult with ultrasonogrpahy or computed tome graphy alone. Indium-111-labeled leukocyte has widely used in the localization of abscesses after introduction by Segal and Thakur in 1976. But there are some difficulties in using indium-111-oxine in our country because of hardness to get the radiopharmaceutical timely and long time for labeling leukocytes. So we peformed the indium-111-labeled leukocyte scan for establishment of the labeling procedure and clinical application. We labeled the mixed leukocytes from 36 ml of patient's blood using 4 ml of ACD solution, 7 ml of 6% hydroxyethyl starch solution $(HESPAN^{(R)})$, 1 mCi of indium-111 oxine, 5 ml of normal saline and centrifuge. It took about 2 hours for the preparation of radiolabeled leukocytes and attention for contamination was needed. The average injected dose of labeled mixed leukocytes was 465 uCi. The average number of injected leukocytes was $2.5\times10^8$ and the labeling ratio was $57{\pm}13%$ (Table 2, Fig. 5). These number and ratio were sufficient for the localization of abscess. About twenty per cent of indium was labeled to red blood cells and platelets (Fig. 6) and the half-life of injected radiolabeled leukocytes was 8.3 hours. Scan was performed in 9 patients who were suspected to have abscesses clinically or radiologically. Three patients were positive, in one patient who had abscess close to lower lumbar vertebrae was surgically drained and another 2 positive cases did not show abscess clearly on computed tomography, so only antibiotics were administrated and treated successfully. The negative 6 patients were improved without specific treatment. In conclusion, the use of indium-111 oxine labeled leukocytes for localization of abscesses were very specific and helpful in the decision of treatment considering its relatively simple labeling method, and could be easily performed providing timely supply of the radiopharmaceutical.
The purpose of this study is to offer the basic data of the tidal river development program by grasping the diffusion between the high density-sea water and the low density-fresh water in the tidal river. The tidal range of Hyungsan river which flows at Youngil bay in Pohang was selected to analysis the phenomenon of density current. The results obtained are as follows ; The tide of Youngil bay was one time a day, 0.104m in high tide difference and 0.085m in mean tidy difference. The change of sea level by tide was negligible. The volume of reserved water by sea water was $2,700,000m^3$ and available water of irrigation was $1,200,000m^3$ that salt density is below $750{\mu}{\mho}/cm$ out of total volume. Salt intrusion phenomenon by density current was a little water level change, however, it become a salt wedge type by the much salt invasion during the spring tide and it makes a well-mixed type by the retreating salt wedge during the neap tide. As long as there were some density differences between sea water and fresh water, net upstream flow was existed along the bottom of water way from the estuary to the upstream channel.

As jobless growth became the new norm and the average life expectancy continues to increase, it is difficult to find quality jobs regardless of gender. In this situation, entrepreneurs who can take charge of creating quality jobs have begun to gain attention from governments. As a result, many startup support programs have been introduced and operated. In Korea, various government-sponsored startup support programs have been in operation since the late 2000s, and the number of startups has increased since. However, there are many cases where they are not able to maintain their business for a long time because such programs often lack expertise and experience. Mentoring programs for startup founders is becoming an attractive solution to these problems. However, when we look at the responses of entrepreneurs, they found the mentoring program beneficial only when it was well planned and operated. Otherwise, they found the program unhelpful. Although there are many startup mentoring programs in various fields, there is little research on whether customized mentoring that matches the characteristics of startups and entrepreneurs are effective. In this study, we study the effects of startup mentoring on mentoring satisfaction. Our model also intends to identify the moderating effects of entrepreneurs' characteristics and provide guidance to future startup mentoring.

Glass fiber reinforced polyester (GFRP) composites are widely used as structural materials in harsh environment such as underground pipes, tanks and boat hulls, which requires long-term water resistance. Especially, these materials might be damaged due to delamination between gelcoat and composites through an osmotic process when they are immersed in water. In this study, GFRP laminates were prepared by surface treatment of UPE (unsaturated polyester) gelcoat by vacuum infusion process to improve the durability of composite materials used in underground pipes. The composite surface coated with gelcoat was examined for surface defects, cracking, and hardness change characteristics in water-immersion environments (different temperatures of $60^{\circ}C$, $75^{\circ}C$, and $85^{\circ}C$). The penetration depth of cracks was investigated by micro CT imaging according to water immersion temperature. It was confirmed that cracks developed into the composites material at $75^{\circ}C$ and $85^{\circ}C$ causing loss of durability of the materials. The point at which the initial crack initiated was defined as the failure time and the life expectancy at $23^{\circ}C$ was measured using the Arrhenius equation. The results from this study is expected to be applied to reliability evaluation of various industrial fields where gelcoat is applied such as civil engineering, construction, and marine industry.

Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is a successful surgical treatment for both patients with chronical lameness and dogs who are nonresponsive to medical treatments, providing excellent joint function for returning dogs to the normal gait in 80% to 98% of hip dysplasia (HD) patients. The THA surgical implant system manufactured by BioMedtrix and Kyon are today widely accepted. When comparing the BioMedtrix biological fixation (BFX) system to the BioMedtrix cemented fixation (CFX) system, the many advantages of BFX, which include longer potential implant life, decreased risk of postoperative or later infection, and better implant stability, become evident. However, BFX implies a greater risk of femoral fracture during reaming and requires a more precise surgical technique to achieve good implant fit, given the press-fit nature of cementless THA. The purposes of this study are to both describe the mistakes and complications during stem implantation for beginner surgeons with both the BFX and the CFX systems and to document the initial result of 12 implantations in canine cadavers. Given the detailed evaluations of 3 specialists, who are Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS), only 3 of 11 stems were appropriately sized. Specifically, 6 stems were anteverted rather than being retroverted; further, although 7 stems were coaxial with the femoral long axis in the frontal plane, the other stems were in the varus at the frontal plane, with the proximal medial stem adjacent to the medial femoral cortex. Moderate angulation from the cranial to the caudal directions was found in 4 cases in the sagittal plane. Additionally, 1 case of femoral fissure and 1 case of perforated femoral cortex were reported. It is not easy for surgeons performing cementless THA for the first time to achieve a good result, even though they completed an educational course about it and given that catastrophic complications often occurred during early surgical clinical cases. Therefore, ex-vivo studies are sincerely required to get an expertise by rehearsing the preparation of the femoral envelop in isolated bones. Further studies should be conducted to achieve both highly accurate implant size and correct orientation during the preoperative planning. Additionally, surgeons' learning curve should be examined in future investigations.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the concept of the frail elderly and to obtain theoretical evidence. The research method was conducted using the basic principles for conceptual analysis of Walker and Avant(2005). As a Result of a review of the literature about how to utilize the concept of a frail elderly, frail elderly might be in the intermediate state of health and disease. They can be defined as physically vulnerable in the sarcopenia, inflammation, insulin resistance, and preceding advanced disease, lead to hospitalization, falls, disability, and death. The attributes were physiological, psychological, and socio-environmental and economic factors, so they had multidimensional factors. They were required the assist daily living of another person. Also, their attributes had decreased the amount of recovery time and degree, and exhaustion. The attributes of frail elderly consisted of these facts: dynamic process, multidimensional factors, dependency, vulnerability. The frail elderly was a dynamic process that involves the possibility of change to health and disease, and include physical, mental, cognitive, and social environmental factors. In addition, the frail elderly was difficulty in daily life, physical vulnerability and difficulty in adaption. In conclusion, frail elderly as defined by the results of this study will contribute to the foundation of health care systems, including community visiting nursing to understand the level of frail elderly and systemic management to do not go into long term care.
The extant research literature is scant in telling us how organizations actually implement lifelong learning practices and policies. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to describe how lifelong learning is grounded in practice. We do this by introducing a new conceptual framework that was developed on the basis of interviews with a number of leading edge corporations from Canada, the USA, India and Korea. At the heart of our model, and any effective lifelong learning system, is a performance management system. The performance management system allows for an ongoing interaction between managers and employees whereby challenging performance and learning goals are set, and concrete plans are made to achieve them. Those plans involve three types of learning activities. First, employees may be encouraged to engage in formal learning. This could be provided in-house, or the employee may take a leave of absence and return to school. Second, managers may deploy their subordinates to different departments or teams, so that they can take part in new work-based learning opportunities. Finally, employees may be encouraged to learn on their own time. By this we mean learning after organizational hours through firm-sponsored 5 programs, such as e-learning courses. Fueled by the performance management system, we posit that these three learning outlets lead to effective lifelong learning in organizations.
In recent years, there were some who have conducted research on deriving the social and historical meanings of records through the analysis of specific records collections. This trend is an attempt to pay attention to human actions in the society and to read the society again through the records created by such actions. In this study, I derive various meanings and values of these records through the analysis of the "Laos Renewable Energy Support Activities" collection. Moreover, I study how the collection was reconstructed by the Human and Memory Archives. The "Laos Renewable Energy Support Activities" is the personal record of the donor who led the project, and contains the process and results of the project. Through this collection, I was able to look at the life of the donor as a foreign aid activist in Laos and realized his values. Furthermore, through the business process record, I was able to discover the implications of climate change response overseas aid projects. In addition, I was able to look at the culture and environment of Laos through the eyes of the donor who has been residing there for a long time.
Volcanic activity, which can read to various danger and hazards to human life, has been part of the Earth's history for a long time. There are approximately 1,520 volcanoes during the Holocene period (about 10,000 years ago) that have been active on Earth. Recently, there are about 210 volcanoes have been recorded since 2010. Meanwhile, there are 83 known active volcanoes in 2018 based on the USGS data. Approximately 80-90 volcanoes are active on Earth for over a year. More than 90% of these volcanoes are located on the circum-Pacific volcanic belt, commonly known as 'Ring of Fire'. This high number of active volcanoes within this area coincides with the distribution maps of active volcanoes on the earth: about 80% on subduction zone of the convergent plate boundaries; 15% on divergent plate boundaries and 5% on intra-plate zone. Five volcanoes are most active during the survey period of 51 weeks: 50 times in Aira (Japan), 49 times in Sabankaya (Peru), 49 times in Sheveluch (Russia), 44 times in Ebeko (Russia) and 40 times in Kirishimayama (Japan). Based on the available data about volcanic activity, there is no significant change in volcanic activity and similar levels of volcanic activity is observed every year.
After the democratization movement in 1987, korean politics was transformed into three kim's politics by y Kim Yeong-sam, Kim Dae-jung and Kim Jong-pil. Before the time of three kim's politics, korean politics lasted for one long term, but three kim's politics made possible the peaceful regime change through political party integration and party coalition. The evaluation of three kim's politics coexist both positive and negative. The Positive political effects are diversification of political party composition and stabilization of regime change. Three kim's politics transformed the political party composition of Korea from a two-party system to a multi-party system, made possible a peaceful regime change through the unification of three parties and the DJP coalition. However, the negative political distortions of three kim's politics are the shortening of political parties and the concentration of political ideology. In three kim's politics, political party in Korea has a very short life due to the creation of political parties, the dissolution of political parties, the reorganization of political parties and the integration of political parties. Conservatism and progressive tendencies related three kim's politics were stabilized through Yeongnam region and Honam region. Therefore, three kim's politics means that the proportion of Korean politics is very high. Political effects and distortions derived from three kim's politics have become a challenge for Korean politics to overcome.
