An Experimental Study on Diesel Engine of Exhaust Emission Characteristics by Interface Unit (인터페이스 회로를 적용한 디젤기관의 배출가스특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In order to collect the engine performance data and determine optimum engine conditions, engine performance test based on interface unit were tested This paper was carried out that engine' performance was developed using interface unit between personal computer and diesel engine. The results of the study are summarized as follows: Interface unit was developed. By using PAL, simulation was carried in order to logic's inspection. From this tea NO$_{x}$ were decreased, otherwise PM were increased. By using EGR system PM were increased by twice in the high load ranges, it was not seen to come into effect in the low load ranges. This system was tested D-l3 mode, the results were decreased more than 50% in the NO$_{x}$ emission.

  • In this paper, we describe the generation method of interface logic which replace between IP & IP handshaking signal with asynchronous logic circuit. Especially, we suggest the new asynchronous sequential "Waveform to VHDL" code creation algorithm by flow chart conversion : Wave2VHDL - if only mixed asynchronous timing waveform is presented the level type input and pulse type input for handshaking, we convert waveform to flowchart and then replace with VHDL code according to converted flowchart. Also, we confirmed that asynchronous electronic circuits are created by applying extracted VHDL source code from suggest algorithm to conventional domestic/abroad CAD Tool, Finally, we assured the simulation result and the suggest timing diagram are identical.

  • This study is investigates space syntax theory, developed by Bill Hiller, used for physical analysis and visual access of space and role of spatial configuration based on social logic. it mean computer program analyze physical structure of space and represent by mathematical logic. it used for predict space use and Descriptive of spatial configuration. This method and theory is incompletion for design, but it enough useful tool for architecture and urban design and will be improved. And development of a simple computer program - SSA(Sspace Syntax Analysis) for space syntax analysis and study. SSA is based on convex map analysis and using VISIO software for easily using and development.

  • In SRM drive, The accuracy of the switching angles is dependent upon the resolution of the encoder and the sampling period of the microprocessor. As the speed increased, the amount of the switching angle deviation from the preset values is increased by the sampling period. Therefore, in this paper the low cost liner encoder for the practical and stable SRM drive is proposed and the control algorithm to provide the switching signals using the simple digital logic circuit is presented. and it is verified from the experiments that the proposed encoder and logic controller can be a powerful candidate for the practical low cost SRM drive.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy logic-based idle speed controller is designed for automotive engine with a purpose of high efficiency and low pollution. When the idle speed is low engine operation is not smooth, otherwise fuel consumption is incresed. Therefore the idle speed must be maintained as low as possible within the scope that ensures smooth operation of engine. By simulation, we show that the idle speed controller has generated a proper control signal as engine condition or enviornment varies, and also operated well for unexpected cases. Also, an engine simulator, which is used as a basic tool for controller design, is developed and utilized for reduction of development time and cost.

  • The interactions between the excavation tool and the excavation environment are dynamic, unstructured and complex. In addition. operating modes of an excavator depend on working conditions, which makes it difficult to derive the exact mathematical model of excavator. Even after the exact mathematical model is established, it is difficult to design of a controller because the system equations are highly nonlinear and the state variable are coupled. The objective of this study is to design a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) which controls the position of excavator's attachment. This approach enables the transfer of human heuristics and expert knowledge to the controller. Expeiments are carried out to check the performance of the FLC.

  • Recently, the computer based control systems instead of conventional relays circuitry are widely used to industrial applications, and also those technology is available to railway signaling which are safety-critical systems. However, the safety and reliability of software for those systems are harder to demonstrate than in traditional relays circuitry because the faults or errors can not be analyzed and predicted to those systems. So, the safety problems are crucial more and more in computer based control system. In this paper, the GRAFCET(GRAphe Fonctionnel do Commande Etape/Transition) language is used as a analysis and verification tool for safety-critical interlocking logic. The general description for Grafcet notation are provided and the general modeling for interlocking logic is presented.

Application of mathematical metamodeling for an automated simulation of the Dong nationality drum tower architectural heritage

  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) models are a powerful tool for preserving and using architectural history. Manually creating information models for such a significant number and variety of architectural monuments as Dong drum towers is challenging. The building logic based on "actual measurement construction" was investigated using the metamodel idea, and a metamodel-based automated modeling approach for the wood framework of Dong drum towers was presented utilizing programmable algorithms. Metamodels of fundamental frame kinds were also constructed. Case studies were used to verify the automated modeling's correctness, completeness, and efficiency using metamodel. The results suggest that, compared to manual modeling, automated modeling using metamodel may enhance the model's integrity and correctness by 5-10% while also reducing time efficiency by 10-20%. Metamodel and construction logic offer a novel way to investigate data-driven autonomous information-based modeling.

  • Trend Impact Analysis is a prominent hybrid method has been used in future studies with a modified surprise- free forecast. It considers experts' perceptions about how future events may change the surprise-free forecast. It is an advanced forecasting tool used in futures studies for identifying, understanding and analyzing the consequences of unprecedented events on future trends. In this paper, we propose an advanced mechanism to generate more justifiable estimates to the probability of occurrence of an unprecedented event as a function of time with different degrees of severity using adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). The key idea of the paper is to enhance the generic process of reasoning with fuzzy logic and neural network by adding the additional step of attributes simulation, as unprecedented events do not occur all of a sudden but rather their occurrence is affected by change in the values of a set of attributes. An ANFIS approach is used to identify the occurrence and severity of an event, depending on the values of its trigger attributes.

  • Since concurrent software is hard to debug, the verification of such systems inevitably needs automatic tools which support exhaustive searching. Bounded Model Checking (BMC) is one of them. Within a bound k, BMC exhaustively check some errors in execution traces of the given system. In this paper, we introduce the tool that performs BMC for LTS, modeling language for concurrent programs. In this tool, a property is described by a FLTL formula, which is suitable to present the property with actions in a LTS model. To experiment with existential model checkers and out tool, we compare and analysis the performance of the developed tool and others.
