An Analysis of Size System and Patterns of Ready to Wear Basic Skirts for Middle Age Women (중년여성 브랜드를 통한 기본 스커트의 치수실태 및 패턴분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze of size and patterns of ready to wear basic for middle age women. For this purpose, I select 9 brands and analyze the basic skirts size system marketed in 2002 spring in Korea. To study the actual size system, I have compared size labeling, which I researched, with Korean Industrial Standard Size Chart. And I also have compared body measurement with the product size. To study the pattern, I have classified the composition of the skirt into 24 items. The different result shows between this study and Korean Industrial Standard Size Chart. The waist circumference is smaller than it should be, and the hip circumference is larger than it should be. As I have examined the body measurement and the product size, variability of the waist circumference depends on the location of the waistline. For the hip circumference, I have found that both the body measurement and the product size are same, or the product size is smaller than the body measurement. Both cases have been found to be over 67%. I have classified the analysis of the pattern into four components; circumference, relevance to waist line, dart, and length. For the waist circumference, the same size of the front and the back is 44.4%, and making the front larger is 44.4% also. In the hip circumference, the identical size of the front and the back is 66.7% and the larger size of back is 22.2%. Regarding darts placement, it is moved to the side lines from the middle of 1/2 of waist lines, dart intake was 1.3~3.2 cm, the length of darts is 7.2~12.7 cm.

The Spatial Change of Agglomerated Location and the Characteristics of Firm Movement in Korean Software Industry (소프트웨어 산업의 집적지 변화와 기업이동의 특성)

  • In the early stage of industrial development, most of software companies were agglomerated at the CBD(Central Business Districts) in Seoul. However, the spatial distribution pattern of Korean Software industry has been changed according to the propagation of broadband, the change in rents, the governmental policy for industrial districts. In this research, using the software year book at 1997 and 2007, the emerging new pattern was analyzed using spatial clustering analysis. As a results of research, the spatial distribution was expanded in morphological changes. However, it was found that there was not a significant difference in a degree of accumulation. In the aspect of behavioral movement of companies, they tend to be relocated from the CBD to urban fringes and their movement is related to the product life cycle in selecting the clustered place.

Satellite-altimeter-derived East Sea Surface Currents: Estimation, Description and Variability Pattern (인공위성 고도계 자료로 추정한 동해 표층해류와 공간분포 변동성)

  • This is the first attempt to produce simultaneous surface current field from satellite altimeter data for the entire East Sea and to provide surface current information to users with formal description. It is possible to estimate surface geostrophic current field in near real-time because satellite altimeters and coastal tide gauges supply sea level data for the whole East Sea. Strength and location of the major currents and meso-scale eddies can be identified from the estimated surface geostrophic current field. The mean locations of major surface currents were explicated relative to topographic, ocean-surface and undersea features with schematic representation of surface circulation. In order to demonstrate the practical use of this surface current information, exemplary descriptions of annual, seasonal and monthly mean surface geostrophic current distributions were presented. In order to objectively classify surface circulation patterns in the East Sea, empirical orthogonal function (EOF) analysis was performed on the estimated 16-year (1993-2008) surface current data. The first mode was associated with intensification or weakening of the East Korea Warm Current (EKWC) flowing northward along the east coast of Korea and of the anti-cyclonic circulation southwest of Yamato Basin. The second mode was associated with meandering paths of the EKWC in the southern East Sea with wavelength of 300 km. The first and second modes had inter-annual variations. The East Sea surface circulation was classified as inertial boundary current pattern, Tsushima Warm Current pattern, meandering pattern, and Offshore Branch pattern by the time coefficient of the first two EOF modes.

  • Nowadays since the automobile is regarded as the third living space, comfortable conditions are required in the passenger compartment. The customer's concern on air-conditioning/heating, ventilation and demisting/defrosting performances has been much increased. Both ventilation and demisting /defrosting performances are directly influenced by register location, shape of regist guide vane, ventilation flow rate, air distribution , and air circulation pattern. Diffuse plume of air from the register is desirable not only to maintain comfort when the comfort when the comfortable condition has been satisfied but to improve demisting /defrosting performance. In this study, experimental and numerical investigation about the flow field of six different register vane types were carried out , respectively. The numerical analysis, based upon the $textsc{k}$-$\varepsilon$ turbulence model , was applied to the air flow field. The results show that the shape of register guide vane should be considered as an important design paramter.

  • Turbulent swirling cold-flow in a cyclonic gasifier has been analyzed by numerical analysis. Comparison of two dimensional and three dimensional analyses has shown that concept of equivalent slit is appropriate for the two dimensionalization of three dimensional phenomena. Flow characteristics have been scrutinized by varying swirl number which is a crucial parameter in determining the flow pattern of the cyclonic gasifier. Reactive flow field has been estimated by using theoretical swirl number and equivalent slit width for reactive flow. Results show that proper flow field for the reactive coal gasification can be formed by controlling the exit area and azimuthal location of coal burners.

Analysis on the Hot-spot Temperature Location of a 24MVA Cast Resin Transformer by FEM (FEM을 이용한 24MVA 몰드변압기의 Hot-spot 위치 분석 연구)

  • This paper calculates the core and copper losses as heating sources of a 24MVA cast resin transformer, and analyzes the thermal distribution of the transformer to find out its hot-spot area by FEM program. Since the winding of the transformer is composed with many series and parallel circuits, the analyzing model of the winding is simplified and modelled by axi-symmetric domain. As the results, the maximum temperature is estimated by $137^{\circ}C$ in the upper part of the low-voltage winding. The maximum temperature has discrepancy of approximately $10^{\circ}C$, which is able to be considered as an acceptable error range in the design stage of power transformers. For the overall pattern of the temperature distribution is almost same as test results, the analyzing method can be a useful tool to find out a hot-spot area of the winding.

The Relationship between the Pedestrian Movement Pattern and the Pedestrian Network at a University Campus (대학 캠퍼스 보행자 이동패턴과 보행네트워크간의 상호관련성)

  • Many Korean university campuses are located on hilly terrain where the hierarchy of the path system is unclear. Therefore, it is difficult to analyze the pedestrian network through space syntax, in which only horizontal direction changes are considered as depths of space. The purpose of this study is to compare pedestrian movement patterns and space syntax analysis in order to find their relevance to each other and the relationship between them. We conducted a survey regarding the most-visited buildings and pathways at S-University, which is located on a hilly area in Seoul. The survey results were compared with the Space Syntax integration map by regression analysis. For the segments where the relationship between pedestrian volume and integration was weak, field observations were conducted. As a result, topographical aspects, functional aspects, and location aspects were observed as the main influential factors. In addition, the research proposes that adding an extra axial line per vertical directional change can potentially compensate for the low relevance of stairs. This study suggests the possibility and the necessity of three-dimensional space syntax programs and emphasizes the importance of campus planning for the pedestrian environment.

Numerical Study of the Design Factors for Flow Analysis of the Automotive Defrost Nozzle (자동차 Defrost 노즐 유동의 설계인자에 대한 수치적 연구)

  • The frost and mist in the windshield disturb the sight of driver and passengers especially in winter. This possibly leads to safety problems. In order to export automobiles to the countries of North America, the safety regulation requires the frost of selected area should be completely melted in 30 minutes. The defrost pattern and time for melting of frost are fully dependent on the flow and temperature field near the windshield. Furthermore, the flow and temperature field near the windshield are dependent on the air discharged from defrost nozzle. The present work has been done for understanding the flow features of the discharged air and internal flow within the nozzle duct. The three dimensional Navier-Stokes code was used for performing the generic A/C duct flow analysis. The present results were nearly coincided with experimental data. To perform the parametric study of the effectiveness of the number of guide vanes, the discharge angle and the location of nozzle were changed. The ratio of volume flow rate through defrost nozzle and side exit were compared to investigate the influence of parameters on the effectiveness of defrost nozzle. The velocity profiles and flow patterns of the defrost nozzle duct were also analyzed.

  • Large scale composition facility gives in commerce and space structure effect. therefore, this study will estimating locational value of the commercial facilities by separating space analyze to the topological property, predict a pattern and distribution of passenger's routes through the space syntax on the basis of analysis about the topological property which quantitatively using a estimating tool. Moreover, this study should suggest some of present issues at the aspects of inside city plan and design fitting the internalization of street for propelling efficient the locational strategy.

  • Generally, Aluminum is superior to durability, light, and characteristics of the material are embossed luminant. So, these characteristics of aluminum will be used automobile interior parts by aluminum injection moulding. Especially, The external of Aluminum plate is engraved differing pattern by roller working. This working can use any longer and be seen gracefully. This is the reason why aluminum insert moulding is used. This feature of research can be characterized by simple process to customize aluminum sheet of blanking and forming process with internal parts of configuration if products are injected by aluminum sheet. Besides, to analysis completed Automobile interior parts to be concerned volumetric shrinkage, best gate location, fill time analysis and so on through the mold-flow before the aluminum insert moulding is worked.
