In this paper, we propose an iPhone application that allows the user to pay for donations using the camera, GPS and call functions of the iPhone. As iOS version 3.0 allows the iPhone camera to detect and read bar codes and QR codes, the proposed application uses such codes to identify a product the user wishes to donation. After determining the user's location using the iPhone GPS function, the application can then perform a navigation task that guides the user to a suitable shop or store where the user can make his or her donation. In addition, the application offers an ARS call function that allows the user to make a direct donation, even if the user does not know the telephone number for making such donations. Therefore, the proposed application provides an easy means for the user to pay for donations directly or indirectly.
The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the mouth preparation and design of removable partial dentures. A total of 187cases for the prefabricated partial denture frameworks in both maxillary and mandibular semi-dentulous situations (66 cases and 203 cases) was selected from this study. The evaluations of mouth preparation and design observed here involved the classification of edentulous spaces, status of abutment splinting with location, design of direct retainer and structure of maxillary major connector according to the incidence of both dental arches, ages, sexes and segment of semidentulousness. The analyzed results were as follows: 1) The order of frequency rate in removable partial denture construction was Class II (50.27%), Class I (36. 90%), Class III (10.69%), and Class IV (2.14 %). 2) The distribution on design of maxillary removable partial denture prosthesis was 33.22% and 64.11% in mandibular removable partial denture prosthesis. 3) The age distribution of removable partial denture prosthesis was prominent after40 years (41.71%). 4) The design pattern of maxillary major connectors was in order of anteroposterior bar, single palatal bar, palatal strap, U-shape connector. 5) The design pattern of direct retainer was in order of Aker's clasp, I-bar clasp, backaction clasp, cuspid universal clasp. 6) The abutment for partial denture clasp splinted between premolar and premolar and its frequency rate revealed 53.44%. 7) It seemed that the location and design of the indirect retainer showed accepatble limit.
This study has determined optimal type, and location of loop detector to measure accurately traffic condition influenced by traffic variation with real time. Optimal type of loop detector for through vehicle at stop bar was determined by confidences of occupancy period, and nonoccupancy period, and so appropriate detector type for application to real time traffic control system has been decided on special loop detector.

MPF(Magnetic pulse forming) process refers to the high velocity and high strain rate deformation of a low-ductility materials driven by electromagnetic forces that are generated by the rapid discharge current through forming coil. The goal of this study was to find the characteristics of dynamic behavior of workpiece and to find the main design process on MPF using bar forming coil. For these purposes, thin Al5053 sheet were used for the experiment. The measured strain data were analyzed by developed electromagnetic FE-model. The main design parameter is location of coil, electromagnetic force. In case of the bar forming coil, there exists the dead regions where the low electromagnetic force applied on the workpiece.

In regions of low-to-moderate seismicity, various types of lap splices are used for longitudinal reinforcement of columns at the plastic hinge zones. The seismic performance of such lap spliced columns, such as strength, deformation capacity, and energy dissipation, is affected by material strengths, longitudinal re-bar size, confinement of hoops, lap splice location, and lap splice length. In the present study, cyclic loading tests were performed for columns using three types of lap splices (bottom offset bar splice, top offset bar splice, and splice without offset bend). Lap splice length($40d_b$ and $50d_b$) was also considered as test parameters. Ties with 90-degree end hooks were provided in the lap splice length. The test results showed that strength, deformation capacity, and energy dissipation of columns significantly differed depending on the details and the length of lap splices. The bottom offset bar splice showed high ductility and energy dissipation but low strength; on the other hand, the top offset bar splice and the splice without offset bend showed high strength but moderate ductility and energy dissipation.
It was well recognized that the damages associated mainly with the aging of civil infrastructures were one of very serious problems for assurance of safety and reliability. Recently carbon fiber sheet(CFS) has been widely used for reinforcement and rehabilitation of damaged concrete beam. However, the fundamental mechanism of load transfer and its load-resistant for carbon fiber sheet reinforced concrete are not fully understood. In this study, three point bending test has been carried out to understand the damage progress and the micro-failure mechanism of CFS reinforced mortars. For this purpose, four different types of specimens are used, that is, mortar, steel bar reinforced mortar, CFS reinforced mortar, and steel bar and CFS reinforced morter. Acoustic Emission(AE) technique was used to evaluate the characteristics of damage progress and the failure mechanism of specimens. in addition, two-dimensional AE source location was also performed to monitor crack initiation and propagation processes for these specimens.
This is an analytical study to confirm the passive resistance effect before post-tensioning of steel bar anchors. When using a steel bar as a permanent anchor, if displacement occurs within the slope even before the head load is applied, the displacement is suppressed by the passive resistance caused by the interaction between the steel bar, grout, and surrounding soil. Accordingly, the shape of the failure surface and changes in the safety factor were examined using limit equilibrium analysis and finite element analysis targeting sites where steel bar anchors were actually applied. It was found that the safety factor of the slope reinforced with steel bar anchors is 2.02 using finite element analysis, which is about 5.9% smaller than 2.14 using limit equilibrium analysis. Also, the location of the failure surface was found to be deeper compared to the unreinforced slope. Likewise, the factor of safety has a 153% and 163% increase using finite element method and limit equilibrium analysis, respectively. In addition, the maximum displacement occurs in the lower unreinforced section within the slope, and the displacement is found to be reduced by 42 to 83% at the location where the steel bar anchors are installed.

A study for discharge pattern analysis partial and fault location by use of UHF sensors in GIS. However, in the latter case, the results considered the velocity of EM waves modified by the waveguide characteristics of GIS bus bar were not reported yet. In this paper, UHF wide band sensor to detect partial discharge signals have been designed and manufactured to get the widest band characteristic by an application of Fat-Dipole UHF antenna and the result that the transmission velocity of EM waves is 2/3 of the light have been got through the consideration of waveguide characteristics. Also, to verify applicability on site of the developed method, self-designed external type UHF sensor have been installed on operating GIS in Korea Midland Power co. and detected location of the fault. Through the fault have been found at the location, the reliability of the developed method have been proved.
The Geomorphological properties and ages of river-mouth bar at Song-cheon River in the East Coast of Korea, Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province are estimated, and the long-term and short-term changing processes and causes are analyzed. Sand grains of the bar near the coastline show the finer trends from south to north and these can be attributed to the northward movement of waves and long-shore currents. The absolute ages of bar and nearby coastal sand dune are less than approximately 100 years ago, indicating that the bar has experienced the active geomorphological changes. While the inlet located at south part of the bar between 1971 and 1995, the inlet has located at north or middle part since 1995. These may caused by the changes of movement directions of waves and long-shore currents due to the apparent northward movements of winds and currents. In short-term, the higher elevation, larger area, simpler landform relief and more variable location of inlet and morphology of bar can be observed between September and March due to the dominance of sedimentary processes by wave and wind processes.

This paper presents the results of the experimental study on the performances of reinforced concrete beams rehabilitated by external unbonded high tension steel-bar. Design variables for the experiment in this study includes the position of anchorage zone of the high tension steel bar, the anchorage length of the reinforcing steel bar and the types of the shear strengthening measures. 5 specimens were tested with one point monotonically increased loads and structural performances such as strength capacities, ductility capacities and failure modes were analysed. It is found that the structural performance of the rehabilitated beams are strongly depended on the location of anchorage zone of the high tension steel-bars. In the case that anchorage zone is located near the critical shear zone, it is observed that the rehabilitated beam is failed in brittle failure mode and the additional shear strengthening is necessitated. But if anchorage zone is properly located or additional shear strengthening device is provided properly, it is also observed that the strength capacity of the rehabilitated beams could be increased more than $200\%$ by the proposed method.
